ugly very quickly as we are seeing right now. democrats started out they thought they're going to be able to put all their eggs in the abortion basket. that did not work out. they try to make it all about trump, that did not work out. so then when it becomes clear what people care about is the economy stupid, they have nothing to say to it. that is where they came up with this whole idea of eight made up the story about social security. now republicans are going to take social security weight which is a complete fantasy and they made it up. but i think kate is exactly right about this. we are at a point in our democrats they are not even thinking about trying to get independence or other voters. they're not trying to convince anyone they are trying to excite their own people so they have gone back to what is there northstar politics which is destroying the economy by ending fossil fuels. and they are making no bones

♪ ♪ >> welcome back to "the big saturday show". crime is a huge problem in cities across the country. but hillary clinton says the real problems are in red states. >> if you look at real crime statistics which they are not interested in examining, the states with the highest crime levels are states run by republicans. that is just a factor. when they talk about crime they are just trying to gen up all kinds of fear and anxiety and people. they are not dealing with it. they're not trying to tackle it. and so i view it as an effort to scare voters. >> a new study from the heritage foundation reveals 27 of the top 30 crime ridden cities are run by democrats. so charlie, this is another situation in the heritage study is fantastic. but the reality of what is happening in the cities all over the country is smacking right into these arguments being made by hillary clinton and by the media.

do you think any of this matters right now? or have people made up their mind? >> i tend to believe most people made up their mind. a lot of people are devoted. i think late breakers are likely historically to break against the president and his party especially given how unpopular he is. i guess you never know but then again twisting the knife if you're joe biden but the way did the soundbite we talked about several times already sent over the voters are happy they want more of this. that is a motivating factor to people are going to vote against him and his party. i suspect at the margins, some of this stuff might make a difference. and if race comes down to a very, very tight finish margins of matter. >> and what doesn't matter is celebrity endorsement. that 2016 and did not matter at all. oprah voting for john fetterman, people don't care what celebrities have to say. our special midterm election coverage continues tomorrow night with countdown to the midterms hosted by bret baier and martha mccown at 10:00 p.m.
