opponent. mastriano. in the end what counts? is it the money or is it the message? >> i really do believe that it's the message although money, of course, helps, i would be naive to say that it doesn't. the thing that's interesting about the race the republican candidate here is not as strong and shapiro is a really strong messenger and orater, he gets people energized and excited and over most of the governor race that is you're seeing, he's one of those democrats i think that people should watch because he is dynamic, he gets people excited and you're seeing more people enthused about him than anybody else. if you look at the rallies where you see biden going or other democrat candidates where it's low energy, small venues, i think shapiro does a really good job. arthel: and, you know, finally, lee, much has been made about quality candidates, does that matter more than the seat filler? >> quality candidates absolutely

does matter. i think we would be naive if it's anything else. a lot of people would like to say they vote on party lines, many people do but there are still right now 6% of americans who are undecided. they're not sure what they're going to do. they know that this time is very, very important. republicans are making the case that the most important thing right now is our economy, inflation in getting crime under control, democrats are trying to say democracy is at stake when you look at how independent voters are breaking out right now, independent voters are saying it is the economy, i want to be optimistic about my future and so i think we are going to see more of a momentum shift toward the right than the left of undecided voters on tuesday. arthel: really quickly, is either side really emphasizing how they will deliver on their message, the republicans on correcting the economy, correcting inflation and the democrats on the other side are saving democracy, how do they fix it, are they offering those solutions? >> i think that's been my biggest complaint with the
