republicans and democrats square off for control in congress. >> steve: the polling place is opening right now, including in wisconsin and arizona where crucial races for governor and senate are taking center stage. >> ainsley: 36 states will pick a governor today has control of the senate hinges on the outcome of 35 races and every seat in the house, 435 of them up for grabs today. >> brian: and across the country, we are hearing from the candidates themselves come already in the tape library, lee zeldin, dr. oz, and jd vance sharing their final pitch to voters this morning. >> i will declare a client to my crime emergency day one and suspend cashless bail, raise the age, the discovery law changes and force the state legislature to come to the table. that is what new yorkers want. they don't want to be told to look away and they don't think any of this is a joke. >> i stand for ballots.

something substantial from philadelphia like lee zeldin commit to some roads in new york city, which seem to be fairly democrats. >> steve: lucas tomlinson joining us from the north line, lucas. >> good morning, let's start in new york where the states battle new york challenger lee zeldin for stoke fears ahead of the election today. >> he has been hyperventilating, trying to scare people for months. and new yorkers are on to it. all the legitimate media organizations have called him out for what he is doing, fearmongering. >> on his way to the white house last night, president biden remains optimistic about democrats winning the senate but admitted when he the house will be tougher. the critics accused biden up listening to the voters, guys, pointing to inflation, crime as evidence. the one battleground state biden has visited his home state of

pennsylvania. it is noted that biden is not the headliner at his home state at a rally photo. john fetterman and his former boss barack obama. and warning a winner may not be declared quickly. fetterman who counted mail-in votes even signed with a valid date reacts to the news, this race is close and we should all be prepared for a process that several days before all votes are properly counted and the results are clear. in battleground ohio state ohio state, donald trump won 2016 and 2020 and the former president campaign last night for jd vance his opponent tim ryan who seem little help from his fellow democrats took a page out of elizabeth warren's book and cracked open a cold one. >> tim ryan with his closing arguments on tonight's board, thank you very much. >> we will bring it home, lawrence. >> gotcha! >> we will bring it home. >> last night president biden went to prince george's marilyn county and a stronghold

reasons we will see a massive red wave though across america. because joe biden and his team at the house democrats and the control of the senate have literally destroyed every single thing they have touched. and that is why they were so much excitement, so much enthusiasm to see republicans take back the house. to see republicans take back the senate and to take over the 36 governor's race is across the country today. if i was him i would run out of town too. >> brian: buddies running on on the fact that fact democracies and the balance and running on the fact he has two more years. he wants to say, "i am still in charge." he might say doesn't like the message but you know press secretary and you are a press secretary but it is important to address the american people and digest an election he says people have a heart we must all accept? >> absolutely. the fact that he is already setting the expectation that he won't talk to the press tells us

everything we need to know about what we can expect to happen today. i think we are going to see republicans reject biden and their policies aggressively at the ballot box by putting republicans back in control. people are sick and tired of out-of-control inflation, the crime that is ravaging the city's and the open border policies in this administration and democratic governors and mayors across the country have allowed these things to happen. people are clearly rejecting that peer that is why it is going to be a really incredible day for republicans coast-to-coast. >> ainsley: during an election cycle, it depends on what the issues are most important to the country and whichever party is focusing more on the issues. those are the ones that will usually win. the initials when u.s. people it is inflation, it is economy, and it's crime pure those are the top issues that resonate with the voters. so, your dad was on

"fox & friends" earlier this morning. he was talking about the democrats and their message. listen to this spirit speak with the democrats have not given any reason for people to vote, they just happened. if people really care about things like crime, the open border, the economy, the price of gasoline and groceries, if they truly care about leaving the children will not be exposed to nuttiness in their schools like 57 genders and a kid who is seven, eight years old decides to wake up one day and decide he something he is not, people will say, i have never voted for a republican before, but i am going to today. because these people on the other side have lost their minds. >> ainsley: we are saying that a lot in new york because crime has gotten so out of control that a lot of democrats in the city will be voting for lee zeldin. what do you think? >> i think he is exactly right. it is kind of nice to have a dad to be my act on tv this morning.

and in the governor's office. in my opinion, he is the best governor of arkansas has ever had and one of the best in the country. i tell him i look forward to take that title away from him. no one has been more supportive than he has in that process. but i think he is exactly right that people, the democrats have not given the people of this country a reason to vote for them. i think lee zeldin lee zeldin is in a great position and the fact we are talking about republican winning in new york and talking about republican winning in places like oregon, that is because the democrats have failed every level from the white house down to state houses and cities. republicans are talking about the things that really impact every person around the country. and we are going to see a huge red wave tonight. >> ainsley: [boos] >> brian: this win would be special for you and your family. have you put into perspective?

however, that speech appears to annoy the senders own humble beginnings. right now on this busy election day morning florida senator marco rubio, senator, good morning to you. >> good morning, thank you for having me on. >> steve: i don't know exactly what she's talking about because i have heard you tell your story about how your dad was a bartender and your mom a chambermaid. and you came from humble beginnings. >> most americans were raised by people who worked with their hands. i worked on an hourly basis and that is a great part of the american story. the big difference in america are people who go into service or become successful and remember that and the people who become successful and forget that. at the end of today and tonight, not just import about around the country, one of the main reasons why luke will be they have forgotten the backbone of the country men and women who get up everyday and go to work and work 8-12 hours with their hands and they have forgotten these people. they are telling these people the paris accord and the climate

is more important than lower gas prices for them. they are telling people, giving people a third and went for the chance commit crimes and the mike pence security and safety. and being compassionate to people in illegally is more important than securing the border and keeping trucks off of the streets. when you tell people that over a sustained period of time and then on top of that you roll out hollywood actors and musicians and celebrities and whatever to make fun of them, these people will react to that and we will find out who really matters in america. >> steve: 's something has been going on down in florida. i was down in florida friday and a lot of people, a lot of republicans did early voting and mailed in their votes. historically, voters show up today. we will see in the end how it turns out. i have been reading a lot about these preliminary poles that have shown, for instance, rhonda santon's a republican in florida, he is on the verge of winning miami-dade county. i think he lost it by 20 points when he ran for governor a

couple of years ago. that shows you the state of how things have changed in south florida as we look at tim ryan going to a polling place in ohio. i think we know exactly who he is going to be voting for. so senator, it is a different elect tour it there in florida. then we have seen before. >> two things people have moved here the last four years from parts of the country per they move from california to new york to illinois and sell them a call ideas with crime, spending and all these issues, they came to get away from that stuff. so if you came to get away from that stuff, you will be against that stuff in florida. the other issue talk about miami-dade county, it is my home county. this is a county we've got wealthy people i'm of course we do but a lot of working class people, small business people who were the ones paid the biggest price during the pandemic. their kids couldn't go to school when they wanted to keep schools closed. likely they will think compared to the rest of the country.
