constituencies. we've flipped for house seats i florida alone and now have a super majority in our state legislature. we saw the fantastic performanc of our governor and senator. i think what we need to learn i how do we make america florida. and learned those lessons and apply them more often. >> there was a good news bad news scenario, florida leads list of good news for this is the first page of the new york post and it says capturing in one word, it says the future. the new york post has the headline, political following here, the decisive win coupled with the strong showing for other florida republicans including senator marco rubio put the state further out of reach for democrats moving into the 2024 presidential cycle. national democratic groups appeared to be abandoning the state after decades of losses. do you feel like that, congressman?

do you feel as though florida i moving more and more red and lots of the blue organizations are going elsewhere? >> it is a red state. i think the democrats are still operating under some deletion but if you look at the registration numbers alone, we have gone from plus 600,000 democrats in 2012 to now plus 300,000 that's a 1 million voters swing almost and in the last ten years. and just the numbers don't lie, but what is so striking are fro african-american women who are very focused on school choice that we provide here to their various hispanic groups to the jewish constituencies, they are all trending our way and we hav a very broad and i think that's what we need to look at replicating. >> that numbers coming out of miami-dade county is just phenomenal.

of the house , many who did quite well. i think we have to unpack the data. we still have a long way to go. we have some phenomenal candidates in the house they didn't do as well. and some that are just crushing it. i think you will see our majority in the house take up. at the into the day were going to see nancy pelosi and of that gavel. we'll investigate for accountability and so many issues. >> we talk about leader mc carthy berry do you believe he will face a battle to become speaker of the house if in fact republicans take over? >> i think we're going to have some tough internal conversations? i fully think that he will be the next speaker of the house. he has absolutely put us in a position to take back the majority to stop biden and brin accountability back to this country. >> good of you to join us. thank you.

warrants. crate, good evening. >> good evening to you. interesting to see lauren makin some great comments about the history of the hurricanes hitting, florida, going back into november. she talked about the one and 1985 on the west coast on the gulf coast side. on the atlantic side we have to go back all the way to 1935 to the hurricane of 1935 the last time hurricane hit the atlantic side of florida. it is now a sustained winds at 75 miles per hour a category on hurricane and notice the trajectory. instead of going directly straight to this, it is startin to take a little north northwesterly turned. as far as landfall coming up in the next several hours. some of the wind gusts have bee impressive. we've seen that between 30 and 40 miles per hour. closer to this phase coast, the

are even stronger. when they hand them a specific direction. it is pushing all the water up against the coast creating the problem for strongsville storm surge. all that extra water is being pushed in and it has been consistent. even though were not in high tide, those have been coming in. take a look at the fox model. after it makes landfall, which by the way will be the second time it made landfall in the bahamas yesterday. it was 15 years ago so this would be the second one. by the time we get to 6:00 a.m. some of the stronger winds, 70- a.d. mile-per-hour winds around the center of the storm will be close to orlando is a continues to move over and into

the gulf side. expected to make a big turn. at this time, the winds are going in a counterclockwise direction. the winds will be banging up against the big bend area of florida and at that point we could see an impressive storm surge. big bend is when the storm surg will be the strongest as they are whipping around from the south to southwest. storm surge is a major concern, we could see 3-5 feet of extras storm surge right above where i normally is great when it backs it again this storm surge, 3-5. you think about rivers like st. john's, the slow-moving river, it only drops about 27 feet. it flows from south to north. all of that water is going to sit there, the lakes, so many lakes in and around florida. tornado threats, also a major concern as we go through the morning and into the evening an
