beach with the very latest. how is that wall holding up? >> griff: good morning, it's holding pretty well but you put your finger on the real concern here in vero beach the tropical storm nicole hit as a category 1 just south of where we are just after 3:00 a.m. it's been quite a night. you can see it's a little calm. the eye moves across. we are going to start getting the back end of it. and the concern is this wall and the retaining walls structural integrity because you can see the waves and angry sea coming in. the tide. storm surge can be upwards of 5 feet. coinciding with a king tide that is an exceptionally large high tide because of the moon and it's coming at contactually t eg time coming as a large storm coming across florida. the tide will coincide with these high winds on the back side and we have had upwards of 50, 60 miles per hour. the maximum sustained winds were 75 when nicole came ashore here

after 3:00 a.m. you mention it is very rare thing, steve, in november for a hurricane to hit 1985 one kate hit the panhandle. the yank hurricane hit the east coast and they haven't seen it. they did of course feel e.p.a. last month. that's why just a mile north of me a boardwalk already yesterday afternoon collapsed south of us a public park less than a mile had some structural damage so police were tapping that area off to make sure when people woke up today wanted to come out and see the damage when the storm passes that they don't get near areas that may be affected. the storm surge though right now is what everyone is looking at and, of course, some coastal flooding is very low area. and people are feeling it from vero up to melbourne up to cocoa beach in daytona where you may have seen some of the structural damage left over from ian going all the way south as well to jupiter and palm beach, volusia

county. it's a very large storm coming across. anyone waking up on the east coast of florida, stay put because this storm is still dangerous winds are still kicking and of course the floodwaters are going to start moving in and across we are 4 or 5 feet across from the beach. not much beach at all as this tide comes. in we expect here throughout the morning as we get a a bit of light we will see really where it's hitting and the damage it's causing. really the story on this one is the coastal flooding and the storm surge and whether or not it causes further beach erosion threatening buildings and of course the historical nature of hitting in november. brian, ainsley, and steve? >> steve: that is big all right. thank you very much. now let's check in with senior meteorologist janice dean. janice, this is a pretty quick moving storm. we just showed juneau beach and

it looked clear as a bell. ian january the tropical storm force winds expand over 400 miles from the center of the storm. you are going to get impacts across the peninsula if you are close to the center of circulation where we are getting hurricane force gusts in and around the cape canaveral area we felt gusts over 85 miles per hour. and heavily populated neighborhoods, right? this is the only second hurricane that has made landfall in november for the state of florida. so it made landfall earlier this morning. south of vero beach. 75 mile-per-hour sustained winds and the storm is three-point line right now. tropical storm 75 mile-per-hour sustained winds. still seeing the impacts of hurricane force gusts. heavy rainfall on the order of 3 to 5 inches. we also could see some three-point line tornadoes with the storm system as it pushes across land and natural rotation from the area of low pressure. so, the wind gusts, latest wind speed for west palm beach close to 30 miles per hour. freeport 31. bahamas, and then the gust as i mentioned over 80 miles per hour

nor the kennedy interpret. cape canaveral 79, melbourne 73 miles per hour. and there is the track it. moves fairly quickly towards the big bend of florida and then up towards the southeast. heavy rainfall and we are going to see a nor'easter out of this one for the northeast. and then the power outages the likelihood of power outages for central florida, north florida, and the tornado threat will exist not only for northeastern florida but up towards georgia and carolinas. look at how big this storm is so tropical storm force winds extending 450 miles from the center of this storm. so it's going to be widespread impacts, you know, sun comes up. we are going to see damage. that's for sure. the ground is already saturated for florida because of ian that's my concern as well. >> steve: they just can't catch a break. janice, thanks for keeping an eye on what is now tropical storm nicole. thank you very much. meanwhile, republicans are closing in on the house majority claiming 207 out of the # 18 seats needed to flip the chamber from blue to red.

>> ainsley: senate control now hangs on just two races on arizona and nevada. plus that run off in georgia. >> brian: who would have thought 48 hours later we still don't know so much. kevin corke joins us with more to fill in some blanks. come on, kevin do it. >> you are right, the vote count tips across the country. what is the hold-up? it's so amazing quite frankly and, yet, here we are. however, with each passing hour we do get closer to determining the balance of power right here in the nation's capitol. and as for the balance of power so far it's shaping up this way and as you point out, in the house 207 where stand right now the majority will be 218 it. looks as they will ultimately make that number. certainly right now things are lining up that way? how about the senate? right now it's close. down the middle as can you get pretty much. 49-48. the g.o.p. needing not one but two because, remember, a 50/50

tie can be broken by vice president kamala harris. let's head down to the state races. want to first take you to the silver state of nevada. there we find a dynamite senate panel that we have been talking about at length. this is one of the ones that i wanted to keep a close eye on because i always felt like, you know, laxalt was probably going to win. it didn't look so great early on election night. but right now he is out in front as you see there with 425,000 plus votes cortez masto 405. governor's race in nevada. another interesting contest. this one has lombardo out in front by almost 4 point. actually over 4 points over 36,000 votes the difference there. that auto could be a big, big win for the g.o.p. next we take you down to the grand canyon state of arizona. all eyes frankly on this race. we have been talking about it at length. a lot of people know a lot about blake masters. you saw the big special that
3:09 am
tucker carlson's group did. he still trails though. mark kelly leading 51-46. masters says he is still confident. beal see how the tally goes as we continue to watch the vote count the snails pace count over in arizona. how about the governor's race? kari lake is right in the mix. she was down by like 15 points at one point during election day. then it was 10. and it was 8 and 6 as you see right now it's less than 1 percentage point. they are feeling pretty good about chances although she is still trailing at this hour. down to the peach state of georgia. we mentioned that this is going to now involve a run off. neither candidate getting north of 50%. so it will be the w's against each other. warnock against walker in december. that could ultimately be the race that tells the tale as far as the battle for control of the senate. as for mr. walker, well, he is convinced that when it's all over, georgians will make the right choice, that is they will choose him.

screen, these races all across the country are so close. what do you make of that. >> i'm not surprised that they are close because as you pointed out, ainsley, look, america is really divided, flight what really surprised me though is some large states like florida, they get through their vote count, they are in, they are done and out of there. other smaller states really taking their time. we will see how it all turns out. >> steve: we will indeed. thank you very much. one of the races he featured was down in the great state of arizona. kari lake currently in trailing. but it's close. nonetheless, she was on with tucker last night and says, you know what? it's iwhen it's all done i'mgoi. >> i feel 100% certain i will win. the question is how big will that win be. can you believe we still have 650,000 votes that have not been counted there are voters. and we are only down by a few thousand votes right now. when those votes come, in i think we will see a lot of liberal minds kind of blowings up.

i want all democrats, independents and republicans to trust in the system. and when i win and, trust me, we will win this, this is going to be top of my agenda. i'm getting my lawmakers. i'm getting the legislators to a special session to change our election so that they are fair, honest and transparent and we get rid of those machines that are not reliable. strife e. >> steve: get some faster machines. >> brian: 400,000 have not been counted. ballots have not been counted in maricopa county alone. they are verifying decisions today and tomorrow. take your time. want to take a lunch break. take two or three hours. , she mentioned about 650,000 have not been counted. and they have the problem in maricopa county and they made the instant decision to not extent voting in a place where everything was delayed because i guess they needed attorney or ink in some of these machines. >> ainsley: paper issues. the election officials say it impacted less than 7% of the vote. but when carrie was on with tucker she said we still have

650,000 votes that have not been counted. >> brian: it was a printer issue. learned more about the printer issue that caused some ballot not read. 17,000 ballot. we understand people didn't have the experience they wanted to have and were frustrated on election day. you think? with all the scrutiny and all the recount, you think that arizona would make this a priority and probably is not easy to digest for kari lake that the secretary of state is her opponent and she is in charge of the election. >> steve: that's always kind of tricky. in the meantime, it looked like when the predictions were there was going to be a huge red wave on tuesday, the white house was very cagey about saying whether or not the president would make a statement, would he have a press conference. after the red wave at any time materialize they decided he would have a full blown press conference. he did. it was 54 minutes. in the beginning okay i have a list with 10 names on it. after the ninth name he left.

i don't know -- i think that the problem is the major peels of legislation we passed, some of it bipartisan, takes time to be recognized. >> brian: a couple of things. is he talking about his infrastructure bill. that's on him and the people in charge. number two, when he talks about takes time to implement all the spending that he has put together. all the giveaways that he has promised. maybe that will take root. we like to change things? yeah, i would love a deference department that wasn't shrinking. i would love a border that wasn't flat out broken. inflation. emphasis on crime and punishment. >> ainsley: a lot of people would like to change that. >> steve: yeah, no kidding. he also was asked at one point are you going to run for reelection and he said, you know, he and jill would like to get away for a week or so between thanksgiving. >> brian: they are always away. >> ainsley: want to get away again. >> steve: jill biden was in the

looked at some of these school board raves and said i think this is something that he needs to do. it was tremendous. and quite humbling to get that kind of endorsement from somebody, you know, america's governor. and it just put us over the edge and i just think, you know, we are going to do the right thing and give the parents choice that they want. and just continue to run on his platform. work on his platform after we are sworn in. >> ainsley: jackie, i know you have been a lot i know we all have in schools across the country. have you gone through three superintendents in the last year; is that right? last few years? you had covid to deal with. remote learning. on the school board. you delegate with crt and inappropriate books in the classroom. is this guy, there were so many naysayers and what do you plan to do? >> i think. so i think part of the controversy is not really understanding the full issues. listen, with regard to the library books, the problem here
3:39 am
is that we are not allowed to read the content of these books at our board meetings. they are so gross and so obscene it is considered. >> ainsley: pornography. >> pornography. but, it's because we can't read them at the board meetings we can't bring light to the actual content. those who are naysayers as we keep mentioning kind of just want to label you as a book banner. and that's not exactly true. we have laws in place here in florida that prevents obscenity and pornography in books. we have standards and we have to follow those standards and provide literature that is age-appropriate and grade level for those students and so, some of this content is so gross, i couldn't read it on air with you. and so that's part of the issue is that this is an ongoing thing it's going to continue until those books are removed from the

>> right now i know that a vote for herschel walker is a vote that the georgia people voices can be heard in washington, d.c. not only the people in voices but american voices can be heard because a vote for senator warnock is going to have kamala harris making a decision for them. and right now we are in a tiebreaker. that's why i said i'm not giving this seat up because right now the georgia people are hurting. >> brian: all right. it's the race that will likely determine power in the senate. talking about herschel walker, still fighting as the georgians run against for georgia senate seat as he runs against senator warnock. heads to run off december 6th. joining us now what it will be like, says it's all within reach for republicans. former georgia g.o.p. senate candidate himself calvin king. it looks as though the trump picked candidate herschel walker lost by 35,000 votes. what changes head to head now without the libertarian? >> thanks for having me, brian.
3:46 am
now we have republicans vs. democrats. there is no libertarian here to pull any kind of vote. i look at it like this. goal quinning of this election cycle was to notify the biden administration win back the house and win back the senate. and based on the outcome of tuesday's election cycle, we are right in the middle of achieving our goals. we are on the precipice of winning our u.s. house. it looks like georgia is going to be, once again, ground zero for control of the senate. and we are in a really good position to win that commodities 6th. >> brian: the incumbents last time had the advantage and both lost in the run-off in 2020. enough to you got warnock, $200 million have been spent in this race already. and herschel is outspent by 70 million. do you think the republicans will rally more around him now? >> i do think so. especially if will control of our u.s. senate is not
3:47 am
determined between now and december 6th. if the pivotal vote here in georgia it. will rally republicans. across the state. >> brian: one thing i understand was unutilized governor brian kemp. obviously extremely popular and successful. he said he was never really asked by the herschel team to help out. should he now? can he be valuable? >> well, i mean, i think governor kemp typically runs his own race. most of us here in georgia we want to run our own race. now, between now and the runoff, i'm not real sure who is going to jump in to help herschel. what i do know is that we have momentum. it's very difficult to take down an incumbent senator as raphael warnock is or, yeah, is. he did not get above 2 million votes. that was a threshold across the state where our top statewide candidates were able to exceed. so it shows that there's not a lot of excitement for warnock, which opens the door for a herschel walker victory.
3:48 am
as long as the republicans come out to this runoff election december 6th. >> brian: we didn't two years ago. >> right. because they didn't two years ago. >> brian: one thing is for sure -- go ahead. we will have to end it there. but you have a bright future regardless. that's pretty clear. >> thanks so much, brian. >> brian: talk to you again as we get closer and closer. 48 hours and counting. have a chance to go to brandon mississippi for the first time and talk red, white, and blue on fox nation co-sponsored event and then i'm going to pick up stakes and go to tulsa, oklahoma. that will be november 13 of the and then december 2nd in newark, new jersey. go to brian kilmeade.com and get a front row seat to a 1776 america. not the 1619 one. just go also you can go to fox nation and sign up. fox nation.com. if you go, the specials are waiting for you in your seat on fox nation. meanwhile, still ahead on this
