tv   The Faulkner Focus  FOX News  November 10, 2022 8:00am-9:00am PST

8:00 am
that makes the night worth it, right? >> dana: how does everybody in new york have such good aim? >> bill: he snagged a new car, too. >> dana: that's great. they were having fun. we were here. >> bill: tomorrow is friday. >> dana: tomorrow is friday. "the faulkner focus" is up next. here is harris. >> harris: fox news alert. republicans are inching toward taking the majority in the house at this point. who will have the most power in the senate? we still don't know. it could take a while. i'm harris faulkner and you are in "the faulkner focus." democrats and republicans watching three races that still have yet to be called. in arizona and nevada the numbers are big of uncounted early votes. the process we're told could take two or more days. in georgia, a runoff is now on the calendar because neither candidate got to 50% of the
8:01 am
vote. it was already a pretty tough race there with some chippy moments. on december 6th senator warnock and republican walker will see voters decide again. republicans say they are optimistic. >> warnock doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell if we get behind herschel walker. if you come up short the first time you aren't going to win the second time if you're an incumbent if the opponent has a chance to get their message out. he got 49% of the vote. outspending his opponent 3 to 1. every media outlet in the country tried to destroy herschel walker and he tied him. >> harris: in "focus" republican senator marsha blackburn from tennessee. first on the ground in atlanta fox business national correspondent connell mcshane. >> these two candidates will have to get back out on the campaign trail in a senate race where we've seen $250 million
8:02 am
spent. now you add almost four more weeks to the campaign fair to say millions more will come flowing in here to the state of georgia. senator warnock knows all about that when he tweeted to supporters he included a button on the tweet to click and donate money to the campaign. not his first runoff. the last time around warnock was at a runoff and spent 59.3 million in the two months leading up to the january election at that point against his then opponent kelly leffler. 100 million plus between the two. now he is back at it. >> we have to soldier on for a few more weeks, shucks, i've been fighting for three years. i have faith in the people of georgia. and whether it's tonight or a few nights from now, you mark my words the people of georgia are going to get this right. >> i'm not giving the seat up. right now the georgia people are hurting because of this inflation. the georgia people are hurting
8:03 am
because of crime on the street. i'm going to keep fighting. >> herschel walker's campaign saying they brought in $3.3 million in new fundraising just yesterday. later today walker will be back out on a trail in cherokee county alongside ted cruz. walker needs to put up better numbers than the other night when he underperformed the republican governor kemp by more than 200,000 votes. needs to do a lot better than that. in terms of what to expect on the mechanics here. there will be early voting even in the runoff that gets underway on thanksgiving weekend. then that leads us up to another in-person election day december 6th. just the two of them this time. no third party candidate or nothing like that. walker and warnock, one-on-one. the man who gets the most votes gets the senate seat. >> harris: thank you for setting us up here. senator marsha blackburn.
8:04 am
welcome in "focus" today. let's start with georgia. are republicans willing to pull out all the stops? will you go down and see other senators go to georgia? >> absolutely. senators are lining up and others are lining up. i know mike pompeo is going to be going in and harris, it is the full-court press. we are all going to be there for herschel. your viewers can go to my vote marsha twitter feed and donate to team herschel. we need to make certain he has the resources to get his message out. we'll all be working. i understand governor kemp is going to be right there side-by-side with herschel to be certain he wins. >> harris: i want to talk with you a little bit about just how late in the game it is to find out what's going on. are you surprised by any of this or waiting for nevada, arizona, georgia, and 42 house races that
8:05 am
we're waiting on? >> you know, harris, the thing that i'm hearing from people all across the country and certainly from tennesseans is why in the world can't the states count their ballots? you look at florida, tennessee, texas, other states and the polls close, the results are announced and before people go to bed they generally know who has won every race. if there is 1 or 2 outliers, they know what the situation is. that there needs to be a recount or where they are. why can't these states count their ballots? people begin to distrust the system when it lingers on for days or weeks. they think okay, what are they doing? are they trying to manipulate this? why is this happening? and why can they not get their ballots counted? >> harris: i know your political party is looking to the future and some pieces today are certainly some food for thought.
8:06 am
the "wall street journal" editorial board with the headline trump is the party's biggest loser. another op-ed titled the gop's mid-term failure. the party wasted a great opportunity. another republicans have no excuse for their shameful mid-term performance. senator ted cruz sees it this way. >> when you have first-time candidates who have never run, who are celebrities, or, you know, coming from outside -- they have no record, they have no voting record. haven't been involved in issues. they have not -- never taken a stand on anything, they frequently make major mistakes. and, you know, experience matters. >> harris: your reaction. >> yes indeed. experience does matter. and when the media continued to
8:07 am
drive the red wave narrative i would tell people the most effective name is news is you and your circle of friends. if you want the red wave you have to work to make that red wave come to your state, to your congressional district, to your state house and state senate seats. it does not happen on its own. and it is up to each and every republican to spread the information to be a part of the you to get their message out and help these candidates. and likewise, our congressional committees, rncc and nrsc need to make sure there is better coaching and training for these candidates so they don't make some of the mistakes that are going to be costly. and we need to remember we should be a big tent party. and the bigger our tent, the better it is at reaching out to
8:08 am
voters. the generation zs and seniors making sure everyone is hearing our message of freedom, faith, family, freedom, hope, opportunity for all. >> harris: the tent grew bigger. so many different candidates on the side of the right that were from every walk of life and look at monica de la cruz, congresswoman elect down in south texas flipped a blue seat red. there were some people from every walk of life and had lots of victories there. democrats don't want to talk about where they have won and i will get into that next. it is great to see you. thank you for being in "focus." >> good to see you. >> harris: he was once the great hope for texas democrats beto o'rourke dealt his third loss. the stunning amount of party money going down the drain with beto. inflation easing.
8:09 am
families are seriously struggling. >> 7.7% is still hitting those numbers, the highest we saw until biden got into office was back 40-plus years ago. that's what's affecting real americans. >> harris: high prices for basic necessities still eating away at wage gains. you can't earn enough to pay for it all. it's the same stuff you used to buy. you just need more cash. president biden playing the blame game. david asman next. one prilosec otc each morning blocks heartburn all day and all night. prilosec otc reduces excess acid for 24 hours, blocking heartburn before it starts. one pill a day. 24 hours. zero heartburn. veteran homeowners, need cash? with the newday 100 loan, there are no upfront costs for appraisal or termite inspections.
8:10 am
no upfront costs at all to get the cash you need. veterans get more at newday.

>> harris: it has been a late but also active named storm season. right now hurricane nicole has dropped to a tropical storm nicole churning across florida now after making landfall as a cat one just south of vero beach earlier this morning. 75 mile-per-hour winds, heavy rains leaving nearly a quarter million people without elect electricity. dangerous storm surge over the next few days. a double whammy as people are struggling to recover from hurricane ian in september. >> this is not as significant a storm as hurricane ian was but coming on the heels of that you see communities, particularly in the vel uribe -- some structures
8:16 am
are in jeopardy and making sure everybody is safe. >> harris: we'll go to robert ray live in daytona beach, florida. one of the latest storms that florida has seen. >> it is. 88 years for the atlantic side. 1935 the last time a hurricane made landfall in november in the east side of florida and the same year social security was enacted. the winds continue to whip in here, harris, the outer bands. think bit. nicole came in at 3:00 a.m. and here we are still experiencing this. this right here is normally daytona beach, the actual beach, the white sands. now the atlantic ocean taking it over and pushing in the surge. look what the surge has done. it is creating sink holes, wow, as the water comes in creating sink holes on the famous board
8:17 am
walk in daytona beach. literally steel and concrete crushed and crumbed. this was filled with water a couple hours ago with high tide that created these effects. there is still pooling water over here and things are pushed in as the waves actually are hitting this breaker and flying up. much more intense a couple hours ago. this is probably if you can believe it the calmest we've seen it all day long. that's saying a lot if you take a look at that. up and down this county as you heard governor desantis say, the issue is erosion. hurricane ian late september caused major issues on the beach fronts, condos, houses, hotels, resorts, and so actually over ten condos in daytona beach
8:18 am
proper to the south in the shores area were evacuated yesterday because of the fear of some of them actually sinking and being torn apart by what you are seeing here. we got a report of one house that crumbleed and fallen into the atlantic. we'll check it out. in the meantime as you said the system is not done by any means. the wind continuing to blow in, harris, the panhandle of florida in jeopardy, georgia, carolinas and slipping all the way to the northeast. to think we have a blizzard in the middle of the today -- dakotas. not what they need this morning. >> harris: the blizzard doesn't surprise me. that's late -- this is really late and tough going with the sinkhole situation that you are showing. that's extremely dangerous.
8:19 am
when the sun sets you can't see a lot of that. robert ray, great reporting as always. stay safe. thank you. >> thanks. >> harris: once again keeping the people of florida in our prayers today. inflation cooling off a bit in october. still at a 40-year high. that's how bad this is. it's been chilling down and it is still red hot. this morning's report shows consumer prices rose by 7.7% over a year ago. down from 8.2% in september. the pain for consumer, though, coming from all sides. look at your screen. the fed is still expected to keep raising interest rates as americans stare down sky high prices. the price of flour. did you see the prices for food? our fox news voter analysis found nearly 50% of all americans said soaring grocery prices are a factor in their
8:20 am
mid-term vote. gas and transportation costs played a big role as well. president biden sort of shrugging his shoulder. we've seen him do it. watch. >> what can you promise concretely in these next two years that will help turn the pocketbook for the better in the midst of staving off a recession? >> president biden: i can't guarantee that we are going to be able to get rid of inflation, but i do think we can. we have already brought down the price of gasoline about $1.20 a gallon across the board. and i think that the oil companies are really doing the nation a real disservice. >> harris: fox business anchor david asman. it was not an inflation reduction act. those are the facts. >> i love how when inflation
8:21 am
goes up he blames everybody else and when it comes down he takes all the credit. you can't have it both ways. if you look what the market is doing today it is extraordinary. nasdaq up almost 6%. i've never seen a one-day rise. that is just because they think that the fed will lighten up on rate hikes because of the good inflation report. >> harris: there is another one coming. >> i don't think for the short term. one coming in december. i think they still may stick with 75 basis points. when inflation cools off, and it did in the month of october, that means that there is less of a need for the fed to jack rates up so high and that's good news for the markets. they borrow a lot of money. that simple. >> harris: people's 401ks who were ready to retire and staring down 30% of their nest egg. many said i didn't have a lot. it came from my job and working for 40 years.
8:22 am
what do we do? i want to ask david. >> if there is one day you want to look at it today is the day. you'll be impressed the numbers are up. let me get back to your original point which is the overall inflation rate year-over-year is still terrible at 40-and 45 year highs. big ticket items have come down but all of the stuff that we need, including food as you mentioned and oil, is a big problem right now. >> harris: one example. >> like cars, expensive cars and when you need to buy a new appliance, they've come down a little bit from where they were going. >> harris: a lot of people can't afford that now. >> the stuff you need is still very high. >> harris: i want to get into it. it's very important. the government's energy information administration is predicting some things. among them things will get worse. today the price of diesel is at $5.36 a gallon. it is expected to stay higher
8:23 am
than $5 for the rest of the year. and when it does come to home heating oil, the eia says this winter americans could spend 45% more on -- than what they spent last year, up 20% from the agency's prediction. now it will be twice as bad. the part of the oil that's produced that gives us heating oil. we are dangerously low on it. >> heating oil and diesel. the two major components in winter we need. we need heating oil so we don't freeze to death. people in maine and northern illinois that are under blankets because they can't fill up their oil tanks. the oil tanks require thousands of dollars. we're already seeing it. i was talking to phil flynn talking about rationing. they talk about rationing it out. oil companies have to space things out. they have -- they can't put all
8:24 am
their eggs in one basket. >> harris: if you are in south dakota and north dakota and minnesota where we have cold winters what does it mean? >> supply and demand. if you have a stronger demand, you will have less supply. more people are using it. a lot depends on the weather. we still don't know exactly. what we do know is that year-over-year distilled oil, the oil from which we get heating oil and diesel is up 68.5%. 68.5%. the month over month figure is not good. we've been talking a lot about diesel which we move everything and farmers use to plant stuff. >> harris: that will raise the price. supply will be down for a couple of reasons like you just mentioned. now you pray for weather to ease the economy. i don't know that mother nature really is paying that much attention. >> you also pray that perhaps if republicans -- still not a guarantee. if republicans win the house they will somehow be able to
8:25 am
work out some deal with the biden administration to produce more oil. it would bring down prices and increase world supply. but again we heard yesterday -- i didn't hear many offers from the president to work with republicans. fancy language saying yeah i'm for uniting everybody but we've heard that before when the you know what hits the fan i don't know if it will come in a good way. >> harris: when all of the votes are counted we're likely to see a divided government. that would give republicans the opportunity to rein in president biden's blank check spending. he has racked up a tab toward $5 billion. the republicans say enough already. >> steve forbes, a guy who used to have a show on fox, forbes on fox, is still here a lot. i love him. he says you can social eyes the
8:26 am
economy in many different ways. it's through regulation. regulation is something that congress can put a slight check on but not like changing a bill in which the president needs to work with the congress. the president alone has done a lot of damage to our fossil fuel industry in the united states while by the way going overseas and getting dirtier oil from sometimes our enemies. it is crazy that he is doing that. they are going to have to figure out a way to cut back on his regulatory policies because he is using that to not only socialize our economy in many ways but also to kill our fossil fuel industry and we can't afford it as we go into a winter. people are suffering already. >> harris: david asman, thank you very much for breaking it down. republicans have pledged to investigate hunter biden's shady business deals if they do take control of the house. the president's message to them quote, unquote, good luck. plus republicans with big gains
8:27 am
in the state of new york, including getting rid of the powerful chair of the dccc. the finger pointing in full effect. when it comes to blaming her own party, alexandria ocasio-cortez takes gold. >> we defeated the chair of the dccc for first time in 42 years. you know, today hillary clinton, bill clinton and george soros wake up with a republican congressman elect. >> it's not often that it happens.
8:28 am
listen, i'm done settling. because this is my secret. i put it on once, no more touch ups! secret had ph balancing minerals; and it helps eliminate odor, instead of just masking it. so pull it in close. secret works. so, you're 45. that's the perfect age to see some old friends, explore new worlds, and to start screening for colon cancer. yep. with colon cancer rising in adults under 50, the american cancer society recommends starting to screen earlier, at age 45. i'm cologuard, a noninvasive way to screen at home, on your schedule. and i find 92% of colon cancers. i'm for people 45+ at average risk for colon cancer, not high risk. false positive and negative results may occur. ask your provider if cologuard is right for you. and i'm going to tell you about exciting medicare advantage plans that can provide broad coverage and still may save you money on monthly premiums and prescription drugs. with
8:29 am

8:30 am
saved an estimated $9,600 on average on their prescription costs. most humana medicare advantage plans have coverage for vision and hearing. and dental coverage that includes two free cleanings a year, plus dentures, crowns, fillings and more! most humana medicare advantage plans include a silver sneakers fitness program at no extra cost. you get all of this for as low as a zero-dollar monthly plan premium in many areas; and your doctor and hospital may already be a part of humana's large network. there is no obligation, so call the number on your screen right now to see if your doctor is in our network; to find out if you could save on your prescriptions, and to get our free decision guide. humana, a more human way to healthcare.
8:31 am
gas, groceries, everything's costing more. we could all use extra cash. if you're a veteran and own your home, you've earned a powerful benefit that can really help in uncertain times. it's your va home loan benefit. veterans can get more cash by borrowing up to
8:32 am
100% of their home's value, not just 80% like some other lenders. with home values near record highs, you can have a lot more cash than you think. with the newday 100 va cash out loan, you can take out an average of $60,000 and lower your payments by $600 a month. pay down high-rate credit cards. consolidate second mortgage and car loans. no one knows when inflation will end. get the cash you need. call now. >> harris: house republican leader kevin mccarthy moving quickly to lock down the votes for his party to take power in the house and it looks like that is going to happen. we'll cover it as it does. mccarthy would likely become speaker of the house but he faces a couple of obstacles. the size of the republican majority and if more conservative members of his caucus are on board with that
8:33 am
idea. steve scalise says he won't challenge mccarthy and will run for majority leader. >> i'm supporting kevin mccarthy for speaker and he will win that race. ultimately you've seen us pull together these last two months and focus on the attack against big government socialism. what they have done to our economy have united republicans. we won in a number of places republicans haven't won in decades. >> harris: chad pergram is with us now on all of it. >> this is ratio politics. smaller the majority for kevin mccarthy the bigger the headache. he was emphatic about his chances over the summer. >> will you be speaker in january? >> i believe we'll win the majority and i will be speaker, yeah. >> he also predicted the gop would win a majority of more than five seats. it's about the math. if they wind up with 223 seats
8:34 am
it means mccarthy can only lose a handful of votes because the speaker needs an outright majority of the entire house, 218. >> he certainly going to have dissenters. the challenge will be can you hold all those votes and get 218 votes on the floor? you have some outspoken to criticism. the challenge will be can we hold these numbers on the floor? >> he must make promises to the freedom caucus to secure the speakership. failed to become speaker in 2015 after john boehner resigned. some republicans were looking for a reason to oppose mccarthy. it became the moment that sank mccarthy's bid for speaker. >> everybody thought hillary clinton was unbeatable, right? but we put together a benghazi special committee. >> critics believe mccarthy said the quiet part out loud. benghazi committee.
8:35 am
republicans used that remarks as justification to oppose him. gop leadership elections are next week. full house votes for speaker in january. harris. >> harris: chad, thank you very much. doug collins former republican georgia congressman. that's an important state today. jose, former dnc deputy press secretary. great to see you both. let's talk about the speaker of the house situation. jose, if what we're seeing take shape continues to and republicans take power in the house, what happens to nancy pelosi? she won't be speaker anymore. what's next? >> that is a decision she has to make whether she wants to try to position herself as the minority leader. >> harris: do you think she would? >> i think it's very possible. she still has a lot of energy left in her and continues to raise a very big amount of money for democrats and she is still
8:36 am
highly popular. i think she would and should. >> harris: what about kevin mccarthy, doug? >> he has caught the car he has been chasing for a while. he will work with the conservative members on a deal that will, i believe, make him speaker that gets him to 218 on the floor come january. it will come at a cost. the smaller the majority, the more that may have to be given. >> harris: what do you make of steve scalise saying he wouldn't challenge mccarthy and he will step aside because of all the conservatives depending how it shakes out, there could be quite a few of them. >> it could be. some of this is just an honest assessment. if you have some concerns and leverage it is natural to use the leverage. steve scalise is saying there are enough problems on the table now let's see how kevin will navigate this. this was the same problem kevin had in 2015. john boehner had. not necessarily what he said about hillary clinton.
8:37 am
that was said but mainly the issues underneath in the conference which both republicans and democrats have. everybody wants their say to make sure the speaker is listening to them. >> harris: okay. let's get to this. president biden yesterday was asked about whether he plans to change anything in his leadership the way he is doing his job in the next two years. check out this answer. >> what in the next two years do you intend to do differently to change people's opinion of the direction of the country? >> president biden: nothing. they are just finding out what we're doing. the more we know what we're doing the more support there is. >> harris: trust me. they've known about inflation for quite some time and known about the gas prices for quite some time. fox news voter analysis found 75% of voters believe america is going in the wrong direction. we'll switch directions and go to doug collins first. >> i hope he continues to do exactly what he is doing. people are just not happy. the real thing as they do find out there is a deeper meaning here. if you find out what government
8:38 am
is giving to you, if you find out what we're doling out to you and find out how government is more in control of what we want to have coming out of washington, d.c. you'll be happy. i travel all over the country and jose may disagree. people don't want more government, they want more freedom and attention in their own lives and more concerned about themselves than what goes on in washington, d.c. >> harris: that statement last is so true. they want more cash in their pocket right now. jose. >> i respect doug. we may disagree respectfully. first and foremost this morning was good news for the country. we see inflation starting to go down. not entirely but trending. >> harris: you weren't watching the show but okay. yes, if you are a climate that doesn't need heating oil that's fabulous. if you need heating oil it will be chilly. >> if i could finish. the dow jones up 900 points this morning. 10 million jobs created in the
8:39 am
past year and a half. this president passed nor legislation than any in years. we are yet to see the process. give it two years and the story will be a lot different. >> harris: two more years of spending the way president biden has and it will only get worse but you know. stay if your lane and he won't do anything. he said he would do nothing. all right. >> the dow is going up today because the house is taken over by republicans. they know the biden administration won't be able to get what they're getting. that's the reason the dow is going up. things in washington won't be the same. >> that's not true. you guys did horrible. i'm waiting for the red wave. i don't think it came. >> i didn't see a blue trickle, either. didn't happen. >> historically the party in power loses seats. you guys will get the house but not by much. we've seen it. the party opposing the president has never done this bad since
8:40 am
2002. over 20 years. that's not something to be proud of. >> at this point in time i still rather have the speaker be a republican, the house be republican and the senate will have a chance to go republican. we can argue about the blue wave or not. i was predicting 225, 235. we'll be around 225. >> harris: democrats overall doing better than expected in house races but not so much in the blue state of new york. republicans have taken control of four long island house seats for the very first time since 1994. among the democrats' losses not something that you will often here jose talk about. the seat held by the dccc chair sean patrick maloney. that's a very important role he played in fundraising. it's an important role in each party. each party has this. the liberal media, however, gave him the opportunity to downplay his defeat. >> you helped your caucus in a
8:41 am
million different ways. >> thank you for taking an arrow for democrats and for defending them the way you did and helping them have such a great night. >> before you carve me in marble i lost my seat. if we did better than anybody expected it is because we have a good president, ladies and gentlemen, and a rock star in the speaker of the house. >> harris: speaker pelosi has thrown shade at the big upset. republicans may have gained a meaningless victory with this race because it has clearly come at the expense of other possible republican wins. that doesn't change the fact that a sitting house campaign committee chair has not lost re-election in 30 years. as she often does alexandria ocasio-cortez tore into her own party. here is what she tweeted. new york state democratic party leadership works to boost gop. must be accountable. we must recenter the party.
8:42 am
what's going on there, jose? >> look, does anybody care what ocasio-cortez has to say? i don't think so. that would be my answer to that. >> harris: it was a quick answer. doug. >> look, again trying to spend everything. whatever is won is one more vote for republicans in the house and that is where it will be come january. >> harris: good to see you both. thank you. money can buy a lot of things but can't buy beto o'rourke victory. how much democrats have blown on his campaign. that cash went down the drain. plus it looks like president biden is riding high after the mid-term elections. however, some democrats might not be too jazzed about it. >> he will run for president now. they will read all the wrong tea leaves here. the people who wanted to get rid of joe biden and kamala harris are stuck with him now. >> harris: whether the party would rally around somebody
8:43 am

amazing thing that we have all done together over the course of the last year. i don't know what my role or yours will be going forward but i'm in this fight for life. >> harris: oh my goodness. it cost so much money to keep him in the fight and he keeps losing. okay. really? will he fight another day? $175 million is how much party cash texas democrat beto o'rourke has burned through in three failed campaigns. this time it was an 11-point beat down. greg abbott won re-election by nearly 1 million votes. not exactly money well spent on beto. tyrus is in "focus" now. beto. >> he is a professional campaign guy. is he a loser?

- >> he loves it >> he is making $175 million for 3 or 4 months and go to the dentist a couple times. say some stuff and lose and right back on it. he is not going to stop. abrams is not going to stop. these celebrity, they get so much money from virtue signaling donors because it's about the mission, not the results. so there is no reason to stop. he will be running for my job. >> harris: my brain broke for a second when you said celebrities. i don't think of o'rourke and abrams as celebrities. >> we don't but they're celebrity candidates. they're on every magazine cover and part of the woke thing where there is no votes but there is the machine behind it. it is like they have everything but the people. unfortunately in politics unless things change, you have to have the votes. but the machine -- we're talking about him. no one else that got beat this

bad will we be talking about. >> harris: if they're celebrities they've been built up in the legacy media. >> worst case scenario they have at least 2 to 3 networks they'll be working for. >> harris: worst case he will give money back. >> to who? he needed a bus. you have to have that private jet to get to those green meetings in finland. you have to have these things. >> harris: if you want to be woke. >> you have to have a rolex, you have to. >> harris: republicans on both sides of the political aisle say if they have the opportunity they'll call hearings to hold president biden and his administration accountable, which would include an investigation into hunter biden's foreign shady business deals and possible influence peddling. the president on that yesterday. >> what is your message to republicans who are considering investigating your family, particularly your son hunter's

business dealings? >> president biden: lots of luck in your senior year. the american public wants us to move on and get something down. i think the american people will look at all that for what it is. it's almost comedy. i can't control what they are going to do. i can continue to try to make life better for the american people. >> good luck in your senior year. what does that mean? sometimes i think we knew for sure that barack obama didn't drink and we knew for sure that president trump didn't drink. are we sure he is not? some of the stuff he is saying, good luck in your senior year. i don't know what's that about. he had, considering his approval rating, he had a really strong mid-term. historic. so he will gloat a little bit. i think -- i even think he is under the idea they could still get the house and the senate. so he wasn't willing to concede

those two points. i feel like he is feeling it right now and he was like bring it. i'm not concerned with it. you can't touch me. so -- but i really hope republicans if we haven't learned anything you need more than an endorsement. you've got to have something behind it and do more than get a former president to endorse you. we saw that. >> harris: you are talking about the trump candidates. 24 of them. who didn't go forward. on election evening, the former president trump gave an interview and he said win big, if you win it was me. if you lose, don't blame me. >> i can bring you the water but you have to drink. >> harris: senator blackburn same thing. you is the most important person in your campaign in terms of making it go. terrible job approval. majority of voters concerned about his fitness of office.

president biden is shrugging all of it and teasing heavily plans for 2024. >> president biden: our intention is to run again. it's been our intention regardless of what the outcome of this election was. >> 2/3 of americans say they don't think you should run for re-election. what is your message to them? how does that factor into your final decision whether or not to run for re-election? >> president biden: it doesn't. >> what is your message to those 2/3 of americans? >> president biden: watch me. >> harris: we do watch. sometimes we don't know what it means. a growing number of democrats are dodging whether they would back another biden run. some outright saying he should not do it. one of them lost, tim ryan, of course. one far left group linked to senator bernie sanders just launched a campaign after the mid-terms #don't run joe. wow. >> like i said, basically i

always break things down into my wheel house. he is basically won his division but was under.500 and made the playoffs but 7-9 going into the playoffs. why does he get a home game? this was his victory lap yesterday and he had watch me and bring it and he just -- good luck in your senior year. he was dropping them all. i was excited they made sense in terms of the context but the question was real and i think if it was me, i think he could have -- we saw the polls didn't mean much of anything. so he could -- that's an easy question to say the polls said there would be a red wave so, you know, he is in there until he is not in there and the only people that will decide whether he runs or doesn't run is us american people by the vote. >> harris: senator blackburn earlier this hour was talking about the fact that this could be one of the worst things for joe biden, though.
8:55 am
he can say that look, i delivered for you in the mid-terms everything and his party could say to him you've done everything we needed you to do, now sit down. >> they can't. if he didn't run for them, they wouldn't have won. bernie sanders can't carry america otherwise he would have. so they -- who else? who is coming up? >> harris: that's a good question.
