tv   The Ingraham Angle  FOX News  November 12, 2022 12:00am-1:00am PST

12:00 am
to honor the heroism, the bravery of all the incredible men and women who felt a higher calling to keep this great country, the greatest country. god gave man safe and secure, preserving and protecting our freedoms. thanks to all of you that served all right for news any time. fox news .com .com. let not your heart be troubled. laura ingraham is next. have a great night. >> have a great weekend. see you monday. i'm laura ingraham. this is the "ingraham angle" from los angeles. tonight. right now, we're monitoring election results in two states , arizona and nevada. now, the fox news decision desk is projecting that in nevada, the governorship is flipping from democrat to republican incumbent governor steve cicilline putting out a statement tonight conceding that he will fall short of winning. and he wished republican sheriff joe lombardo much success. and in and in arizona, any moment, we're expecting a new
12:01 am
vote count from maricopa county ,about eighty thousand ballots or so. but that always can change more than 50% of those are early ballots that were then dropped off on election day. we're going to bring you the details as they come in this hour. but first, wrong lessons. >> that's the focus of tonight's angle. >> now, it was predictable. the gop establishment, which has been losing elections since about two thousand six , would declare the republicans disappointing midterm, showing the death knell for populism. now, the rationale being that because certain trump backed candidates lost key races, the entire populist movement lost to on the republican side, they have to reject the maga agenda. democrats ran on an agenda that was going to deliver for the american people the american people rejected the mega extremism. well, david brooks, the liberal's favorite liberal masquerading as something
12:02 am
more sophisticated, likened it all to a fever. finally, breaking performance. populism has begun to ebb, he wrote , and trump's nihilistic violence that lay at the heart at all. writing in the new york times, matthew continetti struck a similar note, arguing that tuesday's results bear a striking resemblance to the midterm elections of 1998 when setback then led to renewal. when the party then went on to embrace texas gov.. george w.. bush, who had won reelection, of course, in 1998 in texas. now, word to the wise, if you're actually trying to help ron desantis in 2020 four, best not to make a comparison to the president who hasn't been invited to speak at any rnc convention since he left office. but the pro-war coalition is they're emboldened. you have to they have to face facts and they're marching together, led by their fallen star general, liz cheney, who's
12:03 am
enjoying the moment herself falsely believing that tuesday's results mean america is hankering for the good old days of fallujah and kandahar. >> it was a clear victory for team normal. >> i do think it was the american people generally sending the message they want to pull us back from the brink. they don't want this nation to go over the edge. you have to make sure that that the incentives are there to elect the kind of people who who are going to make sure that they're part of the solution. >> now, is cheney actually saying that she, a republican, rejected by her own voters in her own state who lives in existence, wholly derivative of donald trump, that she's on team normal now she's vowed to fight ron desantis two, as i recall, and endorsed democrat tim ryan over jd vance, ohio. so for all intents and purposes, she's a pro-war democrat at war with a seventy four million who voted
12:04 am
for trump in 2020 because they were done with the bush-cheney alternatives. >> now, david brooks himself admitted that trump deserves credit for reinventing the gop and then setting the party on a path to being a multiracial working class party. well, you bet he deserves credit for that. and for a whole lot more . now, think about the shape the gop was in back in. 2015 people have very short memories. well, first of all, it is a boring party. it was stuck in a twenty four timewarp with out of touch approaches and totally not in sync with the concerns of average americans. >> i believe that the great majority of people coming here illegally have no other option . >> they want to provide for their family and there should be a path to earn legal status . that bell couldn't have come soon enough. okay, other than the tea party victories of 2010, where was the excitement? growth in the republican party? well, and hadn't had much really energy since about 1996
12:05 am
when pitchfork pat buchanan, the intellectual populist ahead of his time when he won the new hampshire primary before 2016 republicans were losing the working class voters. those reagan democrats, they were falling away and they were also failing to connect with hispanics back then. and let's not forget republicans. they were helping china get richer and more powerful as more americans, of course, had their jobs shipped overseas. obama beat both of their establishment candidates in twenty eight and then 2012. mccain and romney were annihilated. florida went democrat. both cycles. and in the process, obama chalked up two supreme court justices would have had three if it weren't for mcconnell. the establishment gop had embraced globalism and endless war. they'd overseen flattening of america's wealth and presided over the twenty economic
12:06 am
meltdown, all the while paying lip service to social conservatives. well, trump came in and turned that all around. fast forward to today. now, i'm not going to dwell on trump's dust up with other potential. twenty , twenty four nominees. >> but as far as the scientist is concerned, keep your eye on the establishment types who start throwing money at him. the big government coalition representing wall street , big defense contractors, big tech. oh, yeah, they're already circling and they're going to try to co-opt santos and change him. and eventually they'll try to swallow whole his dissent, justice, populism. >> does he get more populist? does he actually replace trump in the fringy way or does he replace trump and sort of move back more to the middle? and i think the gestures are going to be there. but, you know, it's the more mainstream, more mainstream in terms of what wall street what wall street wants
12:07 am
with corporate america wanting to pick a fight with disney today. >> picking a fight with disney ,disney was picking a fight with parents. >> andrew . now, populism is an extreme. it's pragmatic. there was plenty of good news for republicans that the media seek to ignore. of course, on tuesday, the inroads made in new york flipping for seats there, the closer than expected races in the pacific northwest ,the continued shift rightward of hispanic voters and of course, the huge populist expansion in texas and , of course, in florida, pretty boy bado lost by almost 11 points to incumbent greg abbott and strong populist social conservative conservative dan patrick was reelected as lieutenant governor by double digits as well. so if the establishment really has all the answers, how is it that lisa murkowski didn't sail to victory in alaska? and how did romney
12:08 am
get embarrassed in utah when he refused to endorse mike lee, who ended up winning handily? now, if not trump, whoever rises to the top of the pack in 2020 four, he or she is going to be bombarded by the romney cheney crowd. they're going to pull out every possible stop to push him or her toward the old bush policies. of endless war. partnering with the ccp and open borders. >> and here's the thing. it's really tough if you're a republican to avoid getting pushed in that direction. most gop foreign policy types support the bush foreign policy . most gop trade policy experts are pro ccp and pro world trade organization, and most gop policy types have sympathy for generous immigration amnesty. to santos and his team. >> they will be flooded with memoranda supporting all of these bad ideas. but my guess, and it's just
12:09 am
a guess right now, is that disinterest in any smart, serious candidate will consult with everyone in the gop but avoid the establishment trap. i'm thinking a campaign with a positive, fresh populist message that affirmatively embraces america first policies that has the best chance of winning. and that's the angle. all right. now all eyes are on georgia, nevada, and arizona as the senate majority hangs in the balance any moment now, we are expecting a new number out of maricopa county in arizona. joining me now is harmeet dhillon, civil rights attorney , chairwoman of the republican national lawyers association. harmeet , first of all, thank you for joining us . i know you're a little under the weather, but you fight and play through through injury and illness. so thank you so much. you're down there in arizona. what are you hearing thus? far ? >> it's been a long day in the war room today.
12:10 am
laura . we've had all kinds of different reports out of the maricopa county recorder's office. they've really moved the goalposts. earlier in the week, they were telling us that they'd have 95% of the votes counted by today. that's clearly not true. we have about four hundred fifty thousand ballots remaining statewide. most of those are in maricopa county and so what we are seeing, however, is that the last batches of good katie hobs ballots are trickling in and for whatever reason, they haven't gotten to the same day ballots, the ballots that are dropped off on election day, we expect from 2020 and and modeling that those are going to be strongly cutting towards charolais in the other republican candidates. and so it's only going to get better from from there. but outside maricopa county, several of the drops today show a strong performance by the republican candidates in in yuma county. we've been outperforming significantly. that's a heavy latino population county by six points
12:11 am
compared to twenty twenty . and so overall, the trend is very good. so it's a nail biter. it's been like i said, i was hoping to be at home with my family this day and i'm here instead. so it's a sacrifice for everybody. but we're in good spirits. harmeet, we're just hearing and just moments ago that now apparently katy hobbs is what is up one point four, four percent, edging up slightly from what she was like an hour ago. so they're driving that percentage up a little bit. but your point is at the ballots that are expected to be coming in now, are less favorable percentage wise to her than they are to carry like this. for people out there watching tonight, this is they're ready for thanksgiving and christmas. none of any of this makes sense. they don't understand why this is taking so long. they don't get it. and frankly, they're annoyed by it. well, so let me give you a little perspective. so, first of all, yes, there
12:12 am
was a drop from pima county, which is more liberal a little while ago that is predicted by our modeling. so we're not concerned about that. it's within lines of the modeling. what happened here, laura ? something the new governor needs to change, which is changes to the election laws, not accompanied by voter integrity measures. and so on . the ballot on this election is a proposition that strengthens the voter i.d. requirements in arizona. it looks like it's going to pass, which will be great, which will get rid of some of the slow procedures, i believe. but but we are looking at that. the new governor is going to convene a session of the legislature. and carrie is going to make sure that the new laws are going to take care of a lot of inefficiencies. so it is ridiculous. four hundred and fifty thousand ballots remaining to be counted. they had them in hand on election day. it isn't like nevada or you can continue to accept them for days afterwards. so this is not good in america and it doesn't we got to be this way. when you have a republican
12:13 am
legislature and governor, you can change it. harmeet, you've been fantastic throughout all of this. we'll check back in with you. but thank you so much for that latest update. and we're going to stay on , obviously, tonight. >> thank you. >> they said we're in overtime . in overtime. that means we got a little pay out of the bill for this. >> georgia is the third state that could decide the fate of the senate. and with its second runoff election and just as many years, it's also the second most expensive race this cycle. totaling two hundred and sixty two million dollars thus far . joining us now is republican herschel walker, who is really good. and over time, i have to say, georgia senate candidate. so great to see you tonight, as always. how are you feeling right now after this wild week where we have so many races across the country still undecided and you are heading to this runoff? >> well, i feel pretty good.
12:14 am
the reason why i'm still fighting for the people of georgia, you know, that's what i got in this race. about it was about the people of georgia that they were not represented well in washington. we have a senator that seemed to be representing washington or california. new york , not georgia and georgia need a champion. and i'm that champion because i'm going to get into washington and let the people voices be heard and let the people know that they have a champion there. go , senator , one that has not done it since he went to washington less than two years. >> people see where we're at. hershel mcconnell, mitch mcconnell is turning to governor camp for help in this race. politico is reporting that kemp is loaning his get out the vote machine to the senate's gop voter turnout efforts, giving the party on trade to a political team that is increasingly viewed as one of the gop's most formidable state operations. and at the same time, we understand the democrats have already invested seven million dollars in get out the vote efforts, which sounds like
12:15 am
ballot harvesting to me, which is legal in your state. what's the way to win this race now with the remaining weeks that you have? >> well, you know, it's such a short time and the democrat is trying to buy the seat. they are trying to buy the seat . so that's why i encourage everyone to go to team hirsche .com, contribute to my campaign . but at the same time, i think governor kemp you know, stacey abrams, you know, she had a good, good machine. also, governor kemp proving that he can beat that machine. he beat that machine by getting people that were going to get out and knock on doors, get out and do the work. that's what i've been doing. i've been doing the work. they let the voters know i stand with you guys. i've always stood with george. and i will continue to stand with george because right now what i want to do, i want every kid in georgia, every kid in the united states of america to have that america dream that i've had. well, senator , why not get elected back to the senate? they won't ever have that chance to have that dream. well, then i said not on my watch. not on my watch, because i've
12:16 am
been blessed. and i want to show everyone to have those blessings as well. >> hershel, i was talking to a friend of mine, used to live in georgia and he said the way to guarantee herschel's when it's not about money, it's about unity, republican unity. would it be not ideal for you and for your run off chances to have donald trump on stage ron desantis on stage, gleni oncken and governor camp and anyone else who is a prominent republican conservative all together, putting all their differences aside and urging the voters to get out to save this senate for republicans. >> wouldn't that be ideal? well, that would be totally ideal . and i would absolutely, absolutely love it because this is not ego for herschel walker. this is about the people of georgia. this is about the people of the united states of america. that's what i got in this race about say i want to bring unity into this country right now. a guy running against want
12:17 am
to divide the left want to divide. so that's how he conquered. they want to divide us in my great byberry is a house divided cannot stand right now. this country is separated. we're separated because you even see our president. he want to divide. you see, senator one, i want to divide us by saying you're america need to apologize for whiteness. the problem with america is racism. well, you know, we have problems here, but we're still the greatest country in the world. you don't see people trying to cross the border to get into china, trying to cross a border to get into russia, but they're trying to get into the united states of america because we got the greatest thing right here. >> so the big line out of the media this week has been maga make america great again. like populist conservatism is extreme. what do you say in reaction to that? it's the mantra of the left that they think it works for them. so they're going to keep repeating it. >> so america first is now extreme. well, let me say this. if you live in america, should
12:18 am
you want america to be great again? if you live in america, you want america to be great again. i would never announce i want china to be great again. when i'm living in america right now. the people in washington has put a second right now. they want to pretend like we are this country that has done things so bad. but yet we've come so far we've advanced so far not to want to take us back. and i'm one of the people i say this here to green agenda. when we're prepared for i'll be the first one to raise my right. now, we're not prepared right now. we're not ready right now. putting ourself in a national security problem because we're not securing the border. we're putting our self in a national security problem. we've given up our energies, our economy. we're putting ourselves in a national security problem because we're not leaders anymore in washington. and when when the united states lead, this whole world does. well, we're right now, we're not the leader. and the people in washington seem to be okay with that. we can do better. >> and i want everyone to know that this is not the new normal. all herschel walker, i can't
12:19 am
wait to see how this unfolds, but i would not bet against you . and over time, herschel, thanks so much. now, one of the biggest success stories from tuesday night is being ignored by the mainstream media from coast to coast. school boards were completely overhauled by parents who had enough. we examined that red wave next . >> stay there. an unthinkable took the lives of six million and thousands of jewish survivors are still suffering in poverty today. god calls on people who believe in him to act on his word. comfort, e comfort my people when i come here and i sit with lily, i realize what she needs right now is these elderly are weak and they're sick. they're living on two dollars a day, which is impossible like this. now, is how god's children are
12:20 am
living here at this time. to send a survival food box to these forgotten, the international fellowship of christians and urgently need your gift of twenty five dollars now to help provide one survival food box with all of the essentials they critically need for their diet for one month. >> when you call right now, your gifts impact will be doubled. they help save lives, no vitamins and no protein. >> so my legs and hands are very weak. >> oh oh. let's make sure that we bring them just a little bit of hope. by bringing them a little bit of food for just twenty five dollars, you can help supply the essential foods they desperately need for one month. when you call right now, your gifts impact will be doubled to help save lives. >> your support will provide them with a box overflowing
12:21 am
with nourishing food and the knowledge that faithful christians around the world care about them. >> god tells us to take care of them, to feed the hungry, and i pray holocaust survivors will be given the basic needs that they so desperately pray for it to survive. >> diamonds at bargain prices have carried solitaires for ninety nine one carat nine ninety two carat nine ninety per carat plus one carat stud's five ninety nine . and the guaranteed lowest price on thousands of diamonds by direct the jewelry exchange knew i visited dry eye drops made with hydrating polymers, moisturizing hyaluronic acid and revitalizing tray hello's to reduce dryness discomfort and strain. i visit. we see a better way. a heart attack. do they have life insurance? no, but we have life insurance, john . >> i'm trying to find something
12:22 am
we can afford. >> fortunately, in only a few minutes, aliquot found john a five hundred thousand dollar policy for only twenty nine dollars a month and his wife and of five hundred thousand dollar policy for only twenty one dollars a month. go to select cocom now and get the insurance your family needs at a price you can afford. >> selectquote we shop, you save election reaction. rick scott sounds off on midterm results. plus, call 800
12:23 am
five five eight five nine one four. >> that's 855 five eight
12:24 am
five nine one four. all right. breaking moments ago, the fox news decision desk is now projecting that incumbent democrat senator mark kelly has won reelection in arizona, bringing the balance of power in the senate tied at forty nine . forty nine . >> we're going to bring you details as we get them tonight. for years, we've been talking to parents who are ticked off at what schools are forcing on their kids from lockdowns, of course, to see the destruction of girls sports . all of this awakened a sleeping giant and now parents are fighting back where it matters . school boards and their success tuesday night is really upset. the some usual suspects on the left, jessica winter at the new yorker writes, candidates who railed against teachers unions critical race theory fair depressingly well. and yesterday's superintend and school board races. oh, so sorry, sweetie.
12:25 am
and eric swalwell provided an unhinged tweet in response to senator tim scott applauding the fact that parents will get their power back . well, how could either of these dopes be against parents becoming more involved in their kids education unless they want to separate parents values from their own children? well, some of the stories like this, the account lives of tick-tock spoke with an oklahoma dad who says he confronted the principal there over a book that depicts , and a child getting. the police were called and now the father is banned. from the school. okay, joining me now is ryan gordievsky, chairman of seventeen seventy six project pac, and ryan walters, oklahoma's newly elected state superintendent of public instruction. i'm so excited about this. ryan walters, what the heck happened in your state? >> i'm so excited about this result. well, the teachers union and other democrat groups spent
12:26 am
a record amount. fifty million dollars against me and the governor record in oklahoma. we got a great governor here that we've been standing up for parents and the radicalism that has gone on . it's a civil war. joe biden, the far left, have declared a civil war on our classrooms. we have seen it critical race during the transgender education and then what, you know, apparent is upset with being given to his kids, goes to the school board meeting and now is banned from the school board meeting. this is just outrageous. silencing of parents and again, trying to separate kids from their parents. now, round your desk, the left is insisting at this school issue is really kind of a white christian nationalist trend. but of course, that is total bull. >> what any of the teachers that are here, our beef is not with you. our beef is with you. i have used grindr. the advantages are you can get what you want quickly. this is from the book. i've met a variety of interesting people through apps. does anybody need a college
12:27 am
education or a ph.d. to know that this book is not appropriate for kids? >> ryan . this issue transcends income levels, race, religion, all of it. and seventeen seventy six project. >> you guys have been on this. we had ryan walters was a kennedy supporter. we flipped school districts in maryland that were in blue counties. we won school board districts throughout ohio, john hagan. and it's bigger than us conservatives won in kansas. they won in minnesota. twenty three year old, one flipped the school district in bergen county, new jersey. there's a real, real movement for this. >> if this was just thing people beat up, if something like you and i made up, we wouldn't have this kind of reaction from people. one of the largest groups of voters that move to the right in this november's elections. we're moms, moms and dads. there's not there's a reason for that. when you think of how young people voted overwhelmingly for one party this election overwhelmingly voted for the democrats. from eighteen to twenty nine year olds, we see the effective education.
12:28 am
they're not really getting the full story about our economy, who's responsible. and it's like a purposeful ignorance being foisted on our young people. so the left knows if you can get them in the primary schools and the secondary schools, you got perhaps for life. >> oh, that's absolutely their plan. their plan is to indoctrinate kids and force them into the democrat party with this radical ideology, turn them against their parents, turn them against the country and the values of this country. and again, what we're seeing is parents waking up again, the seventeen seventy six was a tremendous help here in the state of oklahoma to shine a light on this unbelievable radicalism. >> and here's to msnbc guest trying to explain why minorities are part of this effort to fight back against this really insidious indoctrination. >> schools watch the whole purpose of it is to scare parents into thinking that by voting democrat, all of a sudden your child is at
12:29 am
danger. it's nothing different than what we saw earlier with critical race theory, which is was also a bogus claim . the challenge that we see in the latino community when it comes to the disinformation is that oftentimes it's used to peddle this so that people stay home where anger does get clearly the latinos are are just being tricked here into actually caring about their kids education. and if she thinks latinos are way to support the asian parents, i have to sit there and say because they're furious with it, listen, you come to america. and part of the idea of being an american dream is you work hard, you work through merit and you succeed. and it gives you the opportunity to succeed regardless of your background. that's what the american history has really been. but they've sat there and they said, no, we should demonize people. we should incorporate critical race theory and tokenism to almost every skew of of of education. and we are we are more knowledgeable than us parents. and of course, they be outrage . >> everyone's outrage. this is and if they think that doubling down on this woke usually like college educated
12:30 am
white liberal talking point is the way to win them back , i'd say bring it on . and ryan walters now, you won in a red state, but even in blue states like minnesota, i know there are some rural, more conservative areas for sure in minnesota. but the minnesota parents alliance, which is another group doing good work, they won forty nine seats statewide and school board victories in 15 of their 19 targeted districts. this isn't slowing down any time soon. i mean, there are a couple of races were lost in san diego unified. i saw in a couple of other races and other states that didn't go the way we wanted, but schools weren't ruined overnight and they're not going to be saved overnight. >> ryan , you know, that's exactly when i said a couple of weeks ago in my race, really, sanity is on the ballot here. i mean, are we really going to allow far left of center red state to come in here, push on our kids, tell our boys in kindergarten they might be girls, tell kids as young as first and second grade that
12:31 am
they're racist because of the color of their skin or we're going to fight to take our schools back . are we going to fight to empower parents or have we really come so far that we're going to allow teachers unions to bully our schools into pushing ideology? and it has to be a broad based coalition and parents from all backgrounds. ryan gorodetsky, ryan walters, great work. thank you both. thank you. well, when reality doesn't go as planned, liberals turn to fantasy. and biden creates this international climate crisis with this mouth. >> friday follies with raymond is next. nobody celebrates our nation's heroes like fox nation with a new season of hero dogs and a new modern warrior special dog will give life for me and i know it. in a new season of hero dogs, the loyalty, bravery reach a new level. dogs are there to protect the white house. we had a fence jumper at the 70 pounds of wrestling, a 200 pound man.

12:37 am
if people want to engage in fantasy or criticize a political opponent, have at it. but when a scripted television show like the good fight on paramount plus slanders a real person, it's problematic law. case in point, ron desantis wins florida by 20 points and the good fight goes really bad in the show's finale, a male character charges ron desantis with assault. >> i kid you not offered my political services to governor desanctis. >> he saw me in my bicycle shorts, worn purely for medical reasons. ron invited me to cpac so i could work on his speech and then and there he drugged me and forced me into oral . >> laura , this this was the focus of the entire episode. now, in the end, the guy is finally revealed to be a fraud.
