sure he does have the votes, everyone likes their cable news segment to say this is the death of this, ted cruz is amped up, they'll end up getting in line. i think mitch mcconnell has been successful in terms of what he has been able to do, confirmations and what happened with the supreme court is because of mitch mcconnell. but nancy pelosi isn't going to be speaker of the house. it is interesting, jim clyburn said he doesn't know what role he'll have, he wants to remain in leadership. and i find it fun to watch what people who are really good at their jobs, that are clearly very old, right, have been doing it a long time, want to bring in new generations but aren't ready to retire do about that. we are watches how they get a position for jeffries, how they bring in talents, moderate democrats that won districts, stan burger. >> greg: everybody drink. >> dana: slotkin, no

guy a chance. he came in as leader in the minority, he only added seats. he added seat in 2020 and took the majority in 2022. give him a chance. if he blows it, he blows it, then you get rid of him. you give him a shot. not only can he get seats, he can fund raise like an animal. he is for the investigations, he told jesse watters prime time. i wasn't there that day. i will take him at his word. he has to expert discipline, these are tight margins. how do i like my mutiny, i like it light. there's going to be that. i think eventually he overcomes it. mitch mcconnell, i like what he does with judges and what he did with impeachment. sometimes he guess outfoxed and that happens sometimes. who else is there? name a name. i don't think rick scott has the vote.

♪ ♪ >> dana: american cities are so out of control that the mexican government is using video of homeless people in philadelphia in a new anti-drug ad. mexico is using it to scare kids there, but of course the philly mayor's office blamed the opioid crisis as part of a national epidemic. he said it is hard to see our cities and neighborhoods portrayed in negative light. no neighborhood and person should be defined by the tragic, widespread crisis. if that's not enough, here's a state. 1 out of 179 americans will eventually be murdered over the course of their life times if the murder rate remains at 2020 levels according to a new study. that's a startling statistic. as we talked, that's over

oblivion. >> dana: what did you think of this video, katie? >> katie: embarrassing that a country like mexico ravaged with cartel crime because of the drug trade in mexico is now using this as a warning. it is horrible. la it is largely preventable. even though we are being embarrassed on a national scale, leadership in philadelphia isn't willing to do anything about it and they act like people in that video who are on the streets, that it is the humane thing to do to allow them to continue living that way. generally speaking, mexico has done very little to prevent what's happening in american cities. you see people coming over, drugs come over, the mexican side of the border doing nothing to stop it. you see them work with china to continue to traffic the drugs into the united states. so it is embarrassing and the people in charge of philadelphia and other cities in america have the power to change things and they refuse to. >> greg: do they have a

government operated safe injection site? that's where we're heading. you can set up a tent site, you can be naked. >> greg: that doesn't work. >> jesse: you can shoot drugs, be on drugs, probably get hit by cars, and they're not really policing this area, if you noticed, this area is an unpoliced zone. it is like south side of chicago. north philly is similar. you have this massive expanse of row homes that's unpoliced because it is hard to police these types of neighborhoods because, you know, it is hard to see around corn he is, row homes are all connected, guys can run rooftops, lot of times can go underneath, they don't police them and respond to gunfire. that's not proactive policing. and they've given up the war on drugs. doing a story tomorrow on jesse watters prime time, a dea agent admitted to skimming millions of

soon. >> jesse: do you think he lasts the next two years, katie? >> katie: he's really good carrying out policies from the white house, so maybe. he is good at going after border patrol agents carrying out the mission of the agency by telling people not to cross the border illegally. you look at the mission statement of what the department of homeland security is supposed to do, they're supposed to protect the home land from threats. when you look at the number of people that came through that they know of on the terror watch list, a million people you don't know who they are, don't know people standing in line either, and combine with criminals, they're not doing that and carrying out the mission. guys on the ground trying to carry out the mission on horseback or in a helicopter or whether they're in a processing center are the ones getting falsely accused of illegal immigrants entering the country. suicide up, morale down, they still have a job, the

but this is government in action. i think that's a good thing. >> jesse: how do you think mayorkas conducts himself at these hearings? >> dana: fine. partly because i appreciate there's oversight, but nothing changes. every day we report numbers, get the numbers back. he says the border security are committed to do more. like the philly mayor. you say you need to do more. is there a plan, idea, have you had a meeting or something? no, they fired the guy from cbp. probably needed to be fired. but just the day before, you have administration officials telling us the border was secure. but all along knew they would fire him the next day. they reported today the house democrats are thinking of passing remember the dreamers issue, thinking of trying to pass that in the lame duck, the fix to it, because the judge struck it down. they want to attach it to the must pass funding bill

for the government. on the same day we learn about 230,000 migrant encounters in october. that's not saying we want to do the dreamers, plus we want to do x, y and z at the border, give money to be sure the border is secure. we're not doing anything. >> jesse: did you finish the math equation? >> greg: no, i was so off. it is awesome being a bure bureaucrat. you can always plan to do more. he plans to plan to do more. if you ask him what are you doing, he has nothing, but i'm planning on it. we're going to get right to the planning. come up with a plan for the plan. that's right. i don't think this is solvable when it becomes background noise. i think there was progress when the border state started busing because what that did is it put it to the top of mind, i love that phrase, and shared the burden, so the border states, we're all border state now.

and child abuse, and people can go to the depths of their emotions and experiences and decide for themselves i'm going to pray. prayer can make all the difference in the world. it is a vital strategic tool in a world that would rather we give up. >> jesse: what's one of the miracles you encountered that you thought that's not normal, something miraculous is going on. >> and doctors agreed in this young woman's life. she was told she would be in a wheelchair her whole life, it had been decades. in her 20s, she was put in a nursing home because nobody medically felt they could do anything for her. she met the love of her life there, about her same age. everybody else around her was dying, very sick. some was paliative and hospice. she was praying, there must be a reason i am here and i will walk again. her health was deteriorating along the way.

they get married. her name is danny, his name was doug. he was a medical tech. they get married, start going to church together. in some time, i can't tell the whole story, it is only an hour show, you have to read the book for that. she gets up in church one day and walking. that's the miracle you think only exists in a book. this is a contemporary story. this happened within the past year, after decades of praying. and really speaks to the issue of pray now. you may not be in a storm now, i don't know what season people are in in their lives, but pray now. so to help people do that to get started, if you have fallen away, statistically gallup found we don't believe the way we did in the '50s and '60s. we believe in god, don't think he intervenes in our lives. >> greg: that leads me to if you are not a believer and you pray, is that like stealing cable? >> no.
