12:00 am
heroes in our society.sung so h manery people get awards or courage in hollywood. not bad people, but real courage and real generosity of spirit. courage and real generosit we're we're front and center tonight. it was awesome. i loi hope we get a lot of in t business, i would argue undeserved praise people. but all of people here. yeah, the people, they get up every day, work hard, pay their taxes, raise their kids, grown adults, etc. you the show's already over. i know that part. let not your heart trouble. that's how well i guess this is my show now your show. but i know that what we're doing i love doing handoff so i never got to see each other now. we never see each other. we got to remedy that do we. do. oh, i'm so proud of success and thanks for being the great patriot you are now. hannity. i couldn't have done it without you. so. all right. and my brother laura ingraham, sister buddy, i guess this
12:01 am
is the real handoff. this is how we do. i guess we're starting all right. i'm laura ingraham. this is being running on live from the patriot awards. in hollywood, florida. we have a bang up show tonight . and some of your favorite guests are joining us here on set. but first, all right. now that the dust has settled on the midterms, i want to summarize where we are. okay, first, the supreme court overturn roe versus wade earlier this year and that accomplished a decades long goal for the gop. no, the republicans took the house and nancy pelosi's political career is effectively over now. more of that later. third, biden's approval rating is barely eclipsing 40% right now.
12:02 am
unbelievable. and fourth, jp morgan is predicting just a mild recession. twenty , twenty three , nothing to worry about at all. and since republicans are in good shape for 2020 four, ron desantis is betting a betting favorite to win the white house. with trump close behind. so i just laid all that out for you and the democrat thinks they're doing great. now. okay, well, the truth is that despite some individual races that didn't go their way, republicans actually performed remarkably well in the midterms. in fact, they did so well. "the washington post" admitted in a piece this morning that they'll end up with a small majority, but that unexpected result belies a broader movement to the right. when comparing votes in each district to the presidential vote there two years ago, now get this, republicans out ran trump's 2020 margins in
12:03 am
three hundred forty four districts. by comparison, democrat outperformed biden in just sixty nine districts. so what does that amount to ? well, currently, republicans are beating democrats nationwide by more than four points. and we all know how much the left loves that metric. once again. >> last night, the democrats won the popular vote again. democrats saw some historic numbers in the popular vote for the house of representatives. >> the midterms, the popular vote margin matters for arguments about legitimacy. >> every single vote in the country matters for an expression of what this nation is . do they still feel that way? well, the other bit of great news for the gop came from new york , where lee zeldin, of course, ran way ahead of expectations. in fact, he moved to every county in the state, more to the red versus 2020 . furthermore, he's likely responsible for lifting the fortunes of republicans down ballot and securing the house majority.
12:04 am
>> a lot of credit to my soon to be predecessor. lee zeldin made a heck of a run for governor in this very blue state. he was campaigning on the right message here in new york , but bringing law and order back to our state, a lot of our voters, a lot of our citizens are concerned about their safety. he stood for the right principles and that put a lot of wind in our sales to ensure that we run races down ballot and give him a tremendous amount of credit for doing that. >> and that's the reason why so many floated xeljanz name as a possible new head now of the rnc. joining me now is new york congressman zeldin. all right, congressman, i don't want you to play coy tonight, okay? no, coyly. all right. we want the straight shooter, lee zeldin, that managed to help flip all those seats in new york . will you run for rnc chair? yes, or no? well, right now i am seriously considering it. i have not decided.
12:05 am
however, i am not a procrastinator, so i want to very quickly decide whether or not to make this run. what i do know is that it is important for the republican party with this opportunity to retool, to transform, because we have high stakes races coming up in twenty four for president of the united states . we need to elect more republicans to the house and the senate and down ballot candidates who need to get elected as well. so what i do know for sure is that i'm committed to doing absolutely everything in my power to ensure that we save our country. we have a country that needs to be saved. and i plan on doing my part. i am very seriously considering a run for chair of the republican national committee. well, what what factors do you need to still consider? i mean, it seems like you've thought about it really carefully. so again, why the hesitation? so right now i've been communicating with the rnc delegates.
12:06 am
there's one hundred and sixty eight of them who have a vote . many of them have reached out to me encouraging me to run. and that's why we're here at this point. making this announcement and having this conversation. they have to you need a majority vote . and if a majority of the vote wants to continue with the status quo, then we'll continue with the status quo. if a majority of these one hundred and sixty eight republican national committee delegates want to go in a different direction. well, then that's where we have an important role to play. and i believe that there's an opportunity with the messaging and communications, with fundraising and expenditures, with ensuring that its organization, it's collaboration. we have to look at election integrity, candidate recruitment and ensuring that when you're trying to create a movement, energy, enthusiasm, you have to not just say what you're against. yeah, we're against joe . we're against the democratic party. okay, what are we for? we're for. yeah, exactly. and what we are for is expressing to these americans that we want to do
12:07 am
everything in our power to save america. while these democrats are doing everything in their power to save themselves. there are attacks right now on security. we see that border and in our cities and it's now spilled into the suburbs, attacks on wallets and restriction on opportunities for prosperity or economic opportunity, attacks on our education. and we have to reverse and more . and freedom is run is is running for another term as rnc chair. and she already said she has the support of, i guess, one hundred or so of the rnc members. so do you think she deserves another term? how do you rate her performance as rnc chair? well, if she does, she doesn't have 100 . i mean, that's clear from all the calls that i've been receiving. i think that that was a massive rounding up. i've worked well with with ranna. we've gotten along well. and i'm a military guy. you know, you put someone in a position for two, three ,
12:08 am
four years. they start doing a fantastic job and you promote them. you move them to some other job and you bring in new ideas, new energy and fresh perspective. i happen to be somebody who's in favor of term limits. i'm leaving the house of representatives after four terms in eight years. and i believe that our founding fathers intent was that you come to congress, you bring your ideas, your energy, you try to make a difference, and then you move on . so i think that there's something to benefit from understanding that you can't be . when can we expect a decision from you? this is something that we want to figure out in a matter of days. this isn't a matter of weeks. okay, congressman zeldin, it's great to see you tonight. thank you so much for joining us . we'll be watching very closely and with the new republican congress assured congressman jim jordan, the incoming chair of the house judiciary committee outlined why one of the focal points of his committee's work will be reining in the doj.
12:09 am
>> 2016. they spied on president trump's campaign. twenty , it was the mueller investigation. 2020. they suppressed information about the joe biden story. 2020 two. they raided the president's home. ninety one days before the election. maybe it'd be nice if the fbi, the justice department, stayed out of it. we, the people decide who we think should represent us , who we think should lead us . that's supposed to be how america works. so this is the focus on the judiciary committee. >> well, on the topic of biden, the incoming oversight chair, james comey, to join congressman jordan to make clear that the president's son was not their main target in the 100% congress, this committee will evaluate the status of joe biden's relationship with his family's foreign partners. and whether he is a president who has compromised or swayed by foreign dollars. and influence. i want to be clear . this is an investigation of joe biden, and that's where the committee will focus in this next congress. >> joining me now is the man
12:10 am
you just saw, ohio congressman jim jordan, ranking member and soon to be chair of the house judiciary committee. that sounds nice to say, congressman. how do you respond to the criticism that will surely follow that these investigations? you know, while they're tantalizing to watch, they do nothing to help advance the cause of the american middle class who are struggling right now, today in the united states , the american people deserve the truth. laura , we are going to make sure they get the facts, they get the truth. they know what their government's been up to . and the people who run their government, what they've been up to and what i'm really concerned about is this collaboration, i guess, to use a nicer term. but the fbi and big tech and how the fbi went to facebook and said, oh, don't be don't be talking about and be careful about russian disinformation. just days before the most important election we have, which is for president of the united states . so i would also come back with this. why is it that the biden administration changed
12:11 am
the policy suddenly on the congress's ability to look at these suspicious activity reports, these banking reports that show that there was all kinds of suspicious activity around the biden banking practices? why did they change that policy? there were a hundred and fifty of these out there. most americans never get one hundred and fifty about hunter biden and his family's business. endeavors. why did they suddenly change that policy? we seem to i'd like to see the other hundred and forty eight . and i think the american people would as well. now, even sam says spokesman congressmen for the white house counsel's office said that instead of working with president biden to address issues important to the american people, like lowering costs, congressional republicans top priority is to go after the president with politically motivated attacks chock full of long debunked conspiracy theories. congressman, the republicans got caught with the lewinsky
12:12 am
impeachment fight that ended up not redounding politically to the republicans benefit. do you think this runs the risk of having the same political effect on the republicans chances in 2020 four? >> not at all. i think we live in the greatest country in history. but america is not america. if you have a justice department that is operating in a political fashion and that is exactly what we have. again, don't take my word for a take the words of a 14 fbi agents who come to us whistleblowers and talk to us about how political that place has become. one whistleblower said at the upper level, the washington field office, it is rotten at its core. so that's what we need to focus on , because you don't have this great country, the greatest nation ever. if you've got a justice department that's not treating people equally under the law, it is not a conspiracy theory. when you look at how their story on this particular subject has changed. first it was it's not his laptop, then it was, oh, it's his laptop, but it's russian
12:13 am
disinformation. then it's. oh, well, i guess it is his laptop. it's not russian disinformation, but joe biden really wasn't involved. now it's all the way to joe biden was involved. but he really didn't factor into any decisions he made to 100% business dealings. so what a change over just several months now. so there's no conspiracy theory here. they're the ones who have changed the story. they're the ones who have changed the policy on congress's ability to look at these banking records, these suspicious activity reports. they're the ones who have changed. congressman, it's great to see you tonight. thank you. so much. now, everything we just laid out makes one thing clear . all nance losing her gavel. >> but what are her plans for the future? for me, the hours come for a new generation to lead the democratic caucus that i so deeply respect in this continued work, i will strive to answer the call. the patron saint of our city, saint francis. >> a new day is dawning
12:14 am
on the horizon and i look forward. always forward to the unfolding story of our nation. >> putting saint francis. that's pretty good. joining me now is dan gina, host of unfiltered with dan bongino and harris faulkner. anchor of the faulkner focus and author of the fantastic new book i so excited. faith still moves mountains. so great to have you both on set, dan . so pelosi's still going to act as kind of a caretaker in a caretaker role and the house of representatives. how is that going to fly? i she should sell ice cream. remember that little thing? she did not know. she opened the freezer door in corona and showed us the $500 tubs of ice cream. she really bumped the stock on that. she'd be terrific at that. but listen, she understands the golden rule of politics in d.c., which is this most republicans in d.c. are really democrats, but no democrats in d.c. are really republicans.
12:15 am
and for as much as you can't stand her, she got a lot of things pushed through that did a lot of damage to this country. but she understood politics. she understood that golden rule. we got to get more aligned in the republican side to coalesce caucus around liberty and freedom. and maybe we can get some stuff pushed through to paris. if you had to rate nancy pelosi's the span of her career since first took over as speaker, obviously taking over speaker again. how would you rate it for our political success? political success? for her team, for those who wear her jersey? she did pretty well. i mean, she's in a territory because as dan just spoke, she got democrats what they wanted . now, if you look at what's next, i was reading this evening, hakeem jeffries is what they're looking at next. i remember who he is and he's already got the endorsement of some of the higher profile members of the house. steny hoyer is leaving, but he still endorsed hakeem jeffries is somebody who was willing to call the former president of
12:16 am
the united states , donald trump, the grand wizard very soon from the kkk, although then he backtracked and said, no, no, no, trump's not a racist. i mean, this is the person that is winning endorsements. now, i don't know how effective that radical talk will be replacing a woman who not just once nation's first house speaker to be female, but twice, as you say, very effective for her team. the angst and the anger and the radical talk. i don't know how effective their team that will be. and to that point, harris' point and hakeem jeffries also tweeted in 2018 that the more we learn about the 2016 election, the more illegitimate it becomes. america deserves to know whether we have a fake president in the oval office. then hashtag russian interference. dan , i guess questioning an election results isn't the sole purview of of donald. did you ever notice how full of these people are doing? they tell you that you that
12:17 am
you're doing they're doing themselves? look, i just read they're like obsessed with these weird things, like election denialism ,which was we don't deny elections. elections happen. we just don't like that they happen. this way. we'd like a more secure where it's easy to vote and hard to cheat like no one's denying an election, but everything they accuse you of. and tucker says on a they're actually doing themselves projection. yeah. who the hell denying elections? elections happen. there's not happening in a safe, secure way. that's what we're concerned about. it's not hard, harris. you know, we're talking about leadership turnover among the democrats in the house. right. but the senate republicans decided to go the same way with mitch mcconnell, who doesn't like to speak very much except when he's criticizing republican . he doesn't really talk much except when he's saying, well, you know, they're too chaotic. they're too negative, they're too acerbically, whatever . what about that? what about sticking with the same horse? he's 80 years old. is it time for new blood? you know, they didn't win the seats they needed this time around. i think that you've got to look at the leadership in the senate
12:18 am
for republicans and ask, well, what are your goals? you were just talking with congressman jim jordan, obviously across the the chamber there in the house. but the goal should be to help the american people. and in that in that sense, what gets passed under mitch mcconnell, he has, again, like nancy pelosi, been productive. but we're in a different place now. we just came out of as a country, a midterm election where all the polling was wrong and either republican showed voting for somebody different or they . you ever heard chuck schumer criticizing his people? well, nobody ever heard chuck schumer say their candidates are no good or their people are too chaotic or negative or are attacking. i never heard him attacking democrats. no, democrats are really republicans, but a lot of swampy republicans are really democrats. you'll never be disappointed again if you remember that golden rule, right? i told you at first we have to ask about the inspiration
12:19 am
behind your book, because at a time where so many people are really struggling in america, faith is more important than ever. so your book is all about embracing that core faith, which frankly is missing in a lot of our society. well, thank you. and i you know, i would say galam started this back in the nineteen fifties, taking a look at whether or not americans were strong in their faith and what we've noticed today all these years later, is that we are losing some of that. but laura , we're losing the belief that god intervenes in our lives while he still does the miracles every and by praying we connect with god, we lean into him and then he leans into us . i wrote this book of other people's testimonies so that we could shore each other up. they closed down places of worship. they lost it was gunned down during the height of the pandemic. but they left the reader's front series. its essential faith. i hate to i hate to break it to the elites, but our faith, whatever it is essential. there's no taking our faith away going forward. that's great to see.
12:20 am
congrats on the bank. you amazing. dan bongino. i've never seen you only hang out at 8:00 on . you're always sleeping. it's come on . you're both you and you're both great. great to see. all right. coming up next, the person who killed for university of idaho students is still on the loose. and tonight we have some new details about who else was in the house that night. a breaking report moments. plus, in the middle of a violent crime wave. washington, d.c. just made things a hell of a lot easier for criminals. senator tom cotton is here to tell us how this informs our national democratic policy. >> when i read what it took for yellowstone to be here, i realized this was a story that i suddenly wanted to share an yellowstone look the same

g me now is tom cotton of arkansas, senator , a member ofs judisenate judiciary m committee ,also authorci of the new book, only the strong senator . i think it's fair to say that places like d.c., california, i mean this seriously kind of informs whersee the overall democrat direction is right now vis a vis criminals. laura , this is amazing. from the d.c. city council, putting left wing ideology ahead of the safety of the residents of our nation's capital . we're not talking about reducing sentences for people who are arrestedr pe with a dimw bag of marijuana. we're talking about things like carjn a city that's hads in a wave of carjackings in a cityo or a professional football player. a washington redskin was thrjackenaballton redsd and show months ago. this reflects the democratsft soft on crime, left wing ideology. this is a majo iogy,r issue inh the georgia senate race. this is whgey georgians shouldtr get out and vote for herschel walkerl walk. s will and it's also something that

congress will take a look at if the mayor of washington, d.c.,co goes forward with thises resolution or with this bill , reen i will introduce a resolution of disapproval in congress to stop it. from happening because the people of washington deserve better and americansrvet deserve better.on's our nation's capital belongs to the american people, not to left wing politicians here. >> now, senator , i want to switch gears here, because the daily caller is reporting t tonight that house republicansep have introduceortingd legislatin to audit funds appropriated by congress from the american people to ukraine. this is now, do you think this t is something republicans ihen w the senate will support? i know. i support it. because i think we should know y how our money is being spent, ,n where it's being spent, and if,f in fact, it's being used in the appropriate manner wherever it set that law. i agree with you in all those principles. i haven't seen the exact bugislation, but i think
12:30 am
the american people deserve that kind of accountability whenever there tax dollars arew spent. i'd also like to add that whille there are some thingns thattate only the united states and our military in our defense industry can provides d defens w ,the european partners we have can provide money to ukraine, whether it's france or germany or the european union, the bye n the administration to do a better job of senator . strationh allsenator , they're t i know we'd like that, but i'dys like a lot of things. not but germany is not ponying up france is really not ponying up. we're certainly not seeing the money coming from italy. this is all on the backs of the american taxpayer and i know there's like a split inthin the republican party on this with a peopl e who think wepeople w should be all in ihon ukraine.kt the people who think we have to take a sober look at this. ir but at some point, is europee bn going to ever carry the burden for europe e or is it always going to be us ? no.? to nato, as we know, flora,d they need to and the biden administration needsnistrati toe more pressure and leverage to compel them to . again, there are
12:31 am
certain weapons systems thata ca only america can provide, but european nationsn and the european union can providet to more funds to support ukraine.i. it should not be only on the back it shouldn't be onlyof the on the backs of the american taxpayer. awell, right now, senator , there is an enormous amount of o angst in the republican partys n about what's next, what's going to happen in twenty ,2024. twenty four . and on this issue of accountability, listen to thissi shocking revelation. after sixteen hundred auditors comb through the dod's three point five trillion in assets and three point seven trillion in liabilities, officials found that de the department couldn't account. thisould not is the pentagon cot account for about 61% of its assets. i mean, i know, again, republicans, the pentagon can do nicans, theo wrong. i mean, i'm sorry, but that's ti what a lot of republicans seem f to think they can count for.
12:32 am
61% of their assets. ar te you going to lead the the charge on this from the senate? this is ridiculous. ate?this iyeah. so, solara, the reason we finally know this is that during the trump or the trumpran administration in congress a insisted that the department of defense finallsted that y go tht with these kind of audits and we ought not wait till 20202 four. and the presidential4 and eleci we should start right now, ghld build upon this audit, make valu the dod is getting good value for our taxpayers. i meane taxpay, right now, you y almost as many civilians in ce the department of defense as you hav e troops. we also need to make sure makin the focus is where it should be , which is making sure that e our troops have the best equipment and training to defend our nation.on drill sergeants are not that our drill sergeants are using the right pronoun. roohere's a lot of room for oversight. e ne >> the new congress of thandepartment of defense, senator , great to see youk as always, for joining us and answering all of our questions. thaning all stionsk you so much. and up next, cnn is forced to ditch the source while voters ditch nancy. raymond arroyo joins mtche on st the record.

i'll never forget sitting in school on that morning and watching those towers come down on the tv. february 2014 was the day that changed my life. we were on a patrol in afghanistan supporting the sister unit. the ground explode underneath me, sent me the good bit in the air, landed in a crater probably six feet wide, a couple of feet deep. i looked down. that's when i saw that part of my left leg was missing. i was losing a lot of blood . infection was starting to take over in my body. they went through multiple hundred units worth of blood . so much so that actually cleared out the entire blood bank on the base. there was still less than five percent chance that it would make it. so they flew my family and my ex-wife, my daughter, my my parents all flown to germany
