providing treatment, we were able to establish we believe it is a single shooter and that single shooter is deceased at this time. >> carley: the police say less than ten people were killed and at least one of the victims was found dead at the front of the store. at least five people have been rushed to nearby hospitals. a large police presence responded to the shooting including fbi agents. officers are said to get an update 8:00 a.m. and walmart tweeting this statement, "we are shocked at this tragic event at chesapeake, virginia, store. we are praying for those impacted in the community and associates are working closely with law enforcement. we are focused on supporting your associates." mark warner tweeting, "if another get a mass shooting in chesapeake and i urge those and the community to listen to guidance from local law enforcement and stay away

stalker and after a thorough investigation of the matter, there is no evidence to support the theory. a former profiler for the fbi turned insight into the killer's potential motives telling fox news the defender did not randomly choose this location. he targeted one or more of the people and that could be because he has a relationship or past relationship with one or more of them or because he is talking one or more of them. psychologists lisa miller believes the killer specifically targeted the victims in this case. >> my impression is this is somebody who had a lot of anger toward the victims. it could be the fact that the killer felt slighted by one of them on a personal professional or what these kids represented as being successful young people. >> it has been more than a week and the police have yet to recover a mu weapon or name a

suspect. >> todd: forensic expert joseph from a forensic perspective what questions do you still need answers to? >> well, obviously i'm going to want to know more information how this into individual got into the hall to perp perpetrats crime. you are talking multiple homicide with a sharp object. i'm not saying these don't happen, but in the scheme of things when you talk about multiple homicides, these are rare. so i think the point at which they enter, some people mentioned it might be the sliding glass door. maybe it was left unsecured. may be the killer waited in the darkness until he saw the lights go out and then made his way into the residence here that might explain the fact that the two individuals down below in the first floor area were unharmed. systematically may have gone through the second floor and up into the third.

but again, a lot of this is dependent upon information they were developing inside of the residents relative to the blood entry settings. speed to the police are talking to people that may have some information. they are collecting surveillance footage. a lot of them say solving this crime could come down to the forensics. the evidence left behind of the crime scene. you spoke to fox digital recently and you said, this is a complicated case given level of what was left behind. what do you mean by that? >> what it comes down to as i mentioned, you had for individuals who sustained sharp force injuries. so what happens with this is you have individuals that you have a scene that involves what is referred to comingled samples. so just imagine in your mind as horrible as it is that the first victim was stabbed, obviously, multiple times probably. and then come at the same instrument was a used in the next one and then so forth and

so on. so you have this comingling of biological materials there together. now, the upside of that, i think is if you can determine which one of these individuals may have had the least amount of biological samples from the other individuals, that might give you an anti-cajun who was attacked first. but it is going to be a long process as they attempt to unravel these comingled samples to sample for dna. and a very curious thing here when you have sharp force injuries like this, many times because it said a fevered kind of posture when it comes to these attackers, many times they will actually injure themselves. so they can have biological sample mixed up with the victims as well. >> todd: in the meantime breaking news out of her january shooter opened fire in a chesapeake walmart, we are told. there were multiple fatalities including the shooter. what is happening on the scene

right now in your experience having responded to scenes presumably like this following in the moments and hours immediately after it occurs? what are forensic teams doing right now? >> well, obviously, the scene has been locked down and secured. make no bones about it, yes, it said that the shooter is now neutralized here because this is still a multiple homicide investigation. they are going to painstakingly go every inch of the scene and multiple spent bits of ammunition or press at the scene. there will have to be documented, collected for those individuals who unfortunately died at the scene. those bodies will be examined in place. you will get relationships where the shooter was firing from and where the individuals finally came to rest. and all of that is about relationship, where they were when this occurred and maybe, just maybe, this will go back to

help the public and help the authorities and most importantly the families understand what exactly happened. >> carley: yeah what they are so many unanswered questions in this one as it is still a breaking situation. but you do think forensic teams are on the ground looking at possibly the placement of bodies. we are getting reports there is one body in front of the store. so given that, it could have been that the shooter in this case came into the store shooting or possibly was trying to maybe even shoot people down as they were fleeing? >> right. so the idea here is, the scene for a moment just frozen in time. so, what they have to do is try to assess the movement and the progression of the shooter as they went through firing this weapon taking aim. did they chase anybody down? was anyone down on their knees begging for their life and you know, this essentially executed

saying, the wholesale price increase of 5% to 15% over the last year and other tree growers are seeing price hikes up to 20%. the next guest is the owner of the wizard view christmas tree farm in canton south dakota. todd joins me know. you said to the producers, inflation is 7.7%, but you feel it feels a lot more in your industry. >> yeah, absolutely we see it across the board and every product we use. diesel fuel is more than double, fertilizer is more than double. the smallest is up 20%, 30%. >> carley: i'm sure you mention diesel fuel to fill up your trucks but how much are you paying? >> right now farm diesel is up around $5 a gallon. the speed to it cost to much to fill up your tank?

>> it could be several hundred dollars. >> carley: is it diesel fuel impacting farming and christmas tree farming, fertilizer i'm sure is a major issue but the things more expensive than last year. >> for fertilizer is going upwards of $100 per acre and now $800 an acre for fertilizer. you know, so knitting, christmas tree stands and even mr. sharpies up 20%. it is just everlasting inching up for us. >> carley: even the sharpies, you are right, it is everything. the businesses across the country, restaurants across the country whether utensils, plastic containers to store food. it is not just your industry but across the board. i'm hearing from a lot of places there is a christmas tree shortage right now. why is that? >> we have been working with a

shortage the last couple of years. several things have attributed to that. all the way back in 2012, first seed planted, and since 2012 we have seen increased demand of people trying to get back to rule settings and the farm. and the last couple of seasons have been drought stricken so we haven't gotten the trees that we do have. so coming together with a significant supply shortage. >> carley: oh, boy, how much higher will the prices be this year todd than last year, are you raising them? >> we did raise our trees 10%. not totally shocking the customers but seeing some inflation, 100%, we are trying to keep it still reasonable so people can have a merry christmas. >> carley: 100% plus on some products? >> that we are buying. we have raised things 10%.

>> carley: so you will be taking a little bit of a loss. how much does that impact your bottom line? >> it is pretty significant. we are midwest farmers and we work hard and we'll get through it. >> carley: that midwestern american work mentality, especially among farmers and people like you that make this country run. when it comes to christmas trees, i can imagine a lot of people at home even though they are feeling inflation and it is affecting the bottom line and how much money they take home, people are worried about finances across the board. it is not something they want to skip. are you concerned about demand this year or will people still buy trees? >> we are still seeing people buy trees. it is a great family experience to come out and pick your own tree and that fresh smell. a lot of nostalgia. you still enjoy the holidays and make the magic for the kids. >> carley: absolutely. for those still on the market
