tucson's over capacity and they only had one coordinator working there at the time and everyone else was an agent. in the drug smugglers and the cartels that are bringing drugs across, they are very much aware of that and they keep closing those gaps because they know we are preoccupied. >> arthel: this is certainly taking a toll on the agent. i would like to play more sound from congress from brian babin from yesterday. speak of these people are working very hard. their morale is low and the recruitment is down. way down. the morale is so low that they had 14 suicides. three suicides in the last week. the mayorkas and biden administration have demonized them and throw them to the curb. >> arthel: without processing, you said you don't feel that there are enough civilians their processing and helping with the processing.

if you get more, how many more would you need that you think those people would step up and how would that help out those agents down there who clearly need a lot of help? >> it helps right now because you can get the agents in the field, but what really needs to be done is we need to bring back policies. you need to be paying individuals. if you have people coming into the united states for asylum and you were just processing them factor and releasing them in the united states with no consequences, it's going to continue. we need to detain these individuals, hold them there, bring asylum officers and immigration judges so they can see the cases and see which ones are actual asylum and the ones that are not commit they need to send individuals back to their countries. it's not working when you say come across. that is not the policy. it was taking advantage customer at the drug cartels. >> arthel: so many guideways.

and he was able to stop the man and take the child off the tr train. the teenager struggled with him to release their brother and the suspect then took off. nypd asking for the public's help in identifying another suspect. this guy sat down on the number for train next to a 24-year-old woman. he removed his pants and underwear and attempted to assault her. the woman was able to run to another train car to safety and nypd reports having extra officers on duty for the holidays along with extra members of the counterterrorism bureau. listen. >> no current threat reporting indicates any active credible or specific threat at this time to the macy's 96th thanksgiving parade. in light of recent events, specifically the shooting and the nightclub in colorado springs and the arrests of two individuals for posting threatening statements online to jewish targets, the counterterrorism bureau will deploy additional resources to ensure the festivities across the city are safe for all.

rail strike. very involved initially with helping to shut down the initial threat of one and it looks like it is looming again. he says that he has not directly engaged. a little back-and-forth on that from the white house podium. your thoughts on what that means for the economy right now? question as we head into the holiday shopping season? >> what worries us as consumers and economists is the rail strike. so many goods and services, half of the things that we get at the stores, groceries, oil and gas, comes on rail. while we have that problem and by the way, i think that they could sell that but i don't think so because i think it's going to happen. but look at what's happened to diesel prices. most people are not getting diesel at the pump, but tina wu does? the nation's truckers. 95% of them use diesel. we need our truckers. that's why i'm not so sure that

a kitchen and it is close to the bedroom where we believe that ethan chapin and xana kernodle were murdered. the killer had to go up a flight of stairs where there are two more bedrooms in this is where kaylee goncalves and madison mogen were found. the two roommates were sleeping on the first floor which is not shown on these floor plans. police are not saying who among the victims was the killer's primary target. >> first and foremost, we have the integrity of the investigation to preserve. we feel like that information is integral to us and how we conduct our investigation. releasing debt to the public may or may not flood us with a lot of information that is not relevant or specific to what we are looking at. >> it came up that there was a very similar knife attack in salem, oregon, and of a married couple last year which is unsolved. the man wearing a mask attacked

on their hands? >> they do in some respect because he is 80 years old. that is weighing on the democrats. they see a field of younger candidates peered potential candidates for president coming up post biden. worry if it's not donald trump and a younger republican, that he would be running against if he has the stamina for it. the flip side is that clyburn is really influential. he was the one who endorsed biden in 2020 and not cut south carolina behind the candidacy. it was straight to the white house from there. he is arguing that this is a civil and decent guy who was a good legislative record behind him and continuity is a good thing. he is up for the job. >> arthel: timing is everything as they say.

why is when president biden makes the decision important? >> he is expected to say something by early 2023. you have to get these machines going pretty early. candidacies are quite complicated. if he is not going to run, he has to give time for a democratic candidate to replace him. is it going to be kamala harris, his vice president? her approval ratings are roughly as low as his art. is it going to be somebody like a governor murphy from new jersey or someone from illinois or gavin newsom from california? amy klobuchar from minnesota? it could be any of those, but they have to gear up. you have to give them plenty of time to get there candidacies and ground games organized. he has to declare pretty early in 2023. >> arthel: finally, how much does who prevails as the g.o.p. presidential front runner factor

in? >> it will matter quite a bit. if it is donald trump, i think that biden has already said that he wants to run against him again. the electorate seems to have shifted a bit. it shows up in the mid terms including the results you just announced from alaska. the politics of blue regions that trump conducted of politicy in the midterms. and a lot of nontrump endorsed candidates won. a lot of candidates are looking and said this is a good sign that what biden has brought to politics which is a certain amount of stability might once again carry him through in 2024. the electorate is moving away from the politics of belligerency. they want mannerisms in the j jobs. on the other hand, there republican candidates who are as civil and good managers.
