thinking about what the next few months are going to be. you are obviously being a lot more diligent about saving. >> jesse: you're grocery bill looks more like a mortgage payment. >> which, good luck buying a house. mortgage rates are so bad we found one lady who actually ditch four walls and a roof to live entirely out of her car. which is its own challenge. filling up that tank is easier said than done because we all know what has happened at the gas pump. prices have surged since biden took office and declared war on american energy independence. later, we will talk to an energy executive who shows us how the democrats green nightmare is killing us, because it is not just gas. i hope you have plenty of blankets at home. it is going to get cold this winter. home heating oil prices of skyrocketed leaving millions of americans scrambling to bundle up to stay warm.

[laughs] tonight we are going to play some of our favorite interviews from this past year, talking with the real americans who are doing their get by and creative solutions that are coming up with. but let's start with fox business their own financial group composed of mornings with maria, maria bartiromo, to take stock of the situation. did you get that? take stock? >> that was good. [laughs] >> jesse: tell us about inflation, it has dominated the coverage all year. is ever going to get better? >> not in the near term, jesse. look, i think october was a little better than the month before and we are expecting, over time, maybe things improve, but you are still talking about some serious increases. when you look at what is going on right now, the price of a thanksgiving dinner, turkey up better than 20% year-over-year. you look at eggs.

get this, eggs of 43% year-over-year. >> jesse: i have two every day. >> well, it is getting more expensive for you, and that is the bottom line, so preparing thanksgiving is going to be more expensive. i don't know if there is a lot of things to do about this during thanksgiving. not exactly going to tell you to downgrade your meal. >> jesse: the democrats say each chef boyardee. >> did say that, which is absently outrageous. i would say be grateful like we always are, have that meal, and try to cut corners elsewhere. for example, if you have debt, get rid of that debt as soon as possible because that debt, to carry that debt is going higher, much more expensive as well. >> jesse: all the relief for the college grab students that biden bribe them with, they are using for vacations and fine dining, not paying down debt. >> such a great point you may because i've spoken with a number of young people and they are all talking about this forgiveness of debt and i said, i don't think this is going to happen for you because there are charges that it is unconstitutional, but you know what? it worked.

it worked for the democrats to actually were in -- >> jesse: bribes do work, even though they are illegal, they work politically. if we spend, i believe it was $20 trillion in the last three years, was there anybody in washington that said, wait a second. this might raise prices. >> well, look, you have rand paul, who comes on this show all the time, he obviously was pushing back vehicle there were republicans pushing back on all of this spending and there continues to be republicans pushing back. they borrowed $5 trillion just on joe biden's watch, and this is coming back to roost, and inflation at 40 year highs right now is looking worse and worse, even though we are seeing, for example, the moderation, last month eggs were up 30% year-over-year, now they are up 43%. when you look within the components of the cpi, it is overall of 8%, year-over-year, but there are things within that that we use that we buy every day that are much more than 7%. >> jesse: will the republican

"jesse watters primetime" went out earlier this week to ask americans, what is going on her? ♪ ♪ >> why aren't you driving electric car? joe biden says that is the way to go. >> i don't have $100,000. >> if i could afford one i would. >> i can't afford an electric car. i would be out of money buying gas. >> biden says you are polluting if you don't drive an electric

car. what do you have to say? >> how am i going to work. >> you have to keep in mind, he has been rich forever. a lot of people can't just come i'm going to switch to a tesla. >> gas price, not about the solution. >> jesse: it is not just your average american who doesn't want to drop $50,000 on a plug-in. most democrats in washington do not own electric cars. joe biden himself, does he own electric car? >> you guys are pushing electric vehicles today. this is a president who always talks about the power of our example. does he own an electric vehicle? >> presidents of the united states do not do a lot of driving. >> he posted videos where he is revving the engine of his a corvette. >> he has also driven electric vehicles as president to give a model to the rest of the country. >> does he own one? >> i think the president's record on this is clear, peter. presidents of the united states current and when no longer typically are not doing a lot of driving. >> jesse: that sounds like a note to me. [tires squealing] [laughter] >> jesse: or when he is driving around in the beast, the presidential cadillac limo. this is kind of like what happened with masks. remember, the democrats, they schooled you to wear one, but then they keep getting caught without wearing there is. electric cars are the kavanaugh's biggest talking point. so we had to find out, who actually owns an electric car? what about all of these people? psaki, kamala, what about mayor pete? does he drive a tesla when he is not writing his little bicycle? we reached out to the white house to find out who is driving electric and who is not.

but, of course, we haven't gotten a response yet. and as for the creator and owner of the biggest electric car company in the entire world, the one who has the most to gain from biden's electric push, elon musk himself, he said it best. he tweeted, "hate to say it, but we need to increase oil and cow's immediately." "ask ordinary times demand extraordinary measures." you know things are bad when you have the tesla guy telling us to drill baby drill. but joe is making sure that does not happen. he is making it hard for americans to drill, and now he is blaming big oil for not drilling enough. and it is putin's fault. i'm sorry, it's covid's fault. so we couldn't figure it out, so we decided to go to the source for the answer. let's bring in canary ceo, a company that provides drilling and production services to u.s.

oil companies, and author of "switching gears: the petroleum powered electric car," dan eberhardt. all right, dan. how difficult is it for you guys to get underneath the ground and get that oil out? you must jump through a ton of hurdles. >> oh, it's an awful lot of work, an awful lot of hard work, really every day, and off a lot of paperwork for the oil companies, our customers, to be able to drill. >> jesse: they must throw up so many roadblocks, whether it is a salamander that is protected, you might have to probably take someone out to dinner at the department of interior. there must be so many goofy things you guys must have to go through. >> yeah, no, look, it is pretty difficult. there has definitely been a switch from the trump administration to the biden administration. i feel like they keep throwing wet blankets at us and keep trying to pull the industry back and keep us from doing what we do every day. >> jesse: do they ever call you guys on the phone and say,

hey, boys, the price of gas is bought, now, almost $4.50? today, hey, maybe you could help us out, have you heard from them? >> no, quite the opposite beer i will tell you, it really upsets when they talk about this price gouging. people i know in the oil field which supports about 11 million jobs in the u.s., they work hard every day, we go out there and get dirty, we work very, very hard. these jobs are very difficult and is not that easy sometimes, and to just hear these people from jen psaki from the white house podium go on and on about 9,000 leases and not being drilled when she doesn't know the difference between a lease and a permit, it's just really frustrating. i would like to invite her to south dakota or texas, comes the what we do every day, come get some mud on your boots, find the difference between a lease and permit. >> jesse: a b.s. talking point, a tough job, a dirty job come at a dangerous job.

[laughs] >> everybody looks at me and says, have you ever been on a farm? and i remind them, what nobody knows, i come from the state of delaware. i represented delaware for 36 years in the united states senate, and we have more chickens than are americans. more broilers. so, you know, i have been very -- let me put it this way. if i didn't know something about farms, i would have been a united states senator for six years. not 36 years. >> jesse: but old nick biden does not know how to farm,

because if he did, he would know this, diesel fuel is now averaging $5.57 a gallon and farmers can't keep up with the cost, they need cheap fuel for their tractors, so they are passing on the cost of fielding their crops up to us. you add fertilizer prices going bananas, all of this corn and the soy planes we use to feed livestock are much more expensive, which raises the prices of meat. my favorite thing to eat. my next guest says if things keep heading in this direction, we can expect food shortages, grocery bills doubling, and americans are going to get angry, and there is nothing scarier than a hanger he american. as a corn and soybean farmer and owner of farming company, did i get that right, my analysis? i am not from delaware. >> i think you are spot on, jesse. if you think we are seeing food price spikes right now, i think the food price increases are

just starting. and i don't think your grocery bill will be a thousand dollars a month, i think it may go up a thousand dollars a month. as a farmer, what i -- >> jesse: you've got to be kidding me. >> this is not a transitory problem. this is chronic and systemic. i think we are going to see real food scarcity and empty shelves. that is the end game of this. my diesel prices, that's crushing my profit, and my fertilizer prices for phosphorus, nitrogen, and potassium, the three key nutrients i need to grow my crops, are up three times. i just opened a fertilizer bill. it was a million dollars. and it is 1 of 3 that i am going to receive. it is up three times from last year. >> jesse: that's unbelievable. i just want the american people to understand something. right now, it's almost june. and you are coming on "jesse watters primetime" as a farmer, and you are saying that this is going to happen.

you are going to see grocery prices up a thousand dollars. you are going to see food scarcity. things are not going to be on the shelves. you are saying this now, in late may. i don't think the biden administration, even if they saw this interview, is going to do anything about this. do you have a message for the fight in administration? >> well, to look at this, high prices are shutting down right now might demand for egg inputs, spreading things then, farmers have quit buying and reluctant to restock. how do we fix it? it started a year ago when this administration put tariffs on fertilizer inputs from friendly nations that could help us out. our energy policy, the green new deal esg sort of ideas have made energy, particularly natural gas much more expensive, and that is critical to the feedstock for fertilizer, especially ammonium and nitrate fertilizers.

president biden announced plans last week to help stimulate new fertilizer plants, but let's be realistic, but will take most of a decade to bring it online. and then, of course, you know, the russia-ukraine conflict, that is a region of the country that supplies about a quarter of all grain exports, about a third of all fertilizers. that is an accessible to the right now. there is a lot of policy changes we need to make this better. >> jesse: some policy changes and political changes and i think we know what those are. our hearts are going out to you. hopefully you keep up with all of this craziness, and keep helping putting food on our table, we really appreciate all that you do, ben, and everything else that is done out there in the heartland. thank you. >> you're welcome. >> jesse: the rising cost of inflation is going from their farm to your table. just look at the price of chicken wings right now, america's favorite bar food, mine included.

a pizza joint in mississippi that is known for its wings has watched the price more than double since the start of the pandemic. in 2020, 15 wings would cost you $13.95. fair deal. now they are charging $27 for the same play of wings vehicle and get this -- they are still losing money. soon we will be paying $34 for an order of wings. that is about how much a halfway decent stake costs. john tapper is the host and executive producer of -- author of "the power of conflict." $34 for wings? john? i'm sorry, man. i don't know, might have to eat celery with blue cheese. >> you know, think about that, though. wings are costing us over a dollar a piece now, but it is more than that. i get different size wings every time. even a supply chain is inconsistent. they are smaller, they are bigger. chicken breasts, they are

smaller, they are bigger. suddenly it does not fit on the bun. here is a good one for you, those little ketchup packets, those are up to 30-$0.35 each. if you could get them. let's say you can't get them, now you get bulk ketchup, what do you put the ketchup in? you have to have something on the play to put the ketchup in. now you can't get that. than the play you have is not big enough for the sandwich -- it keeps compounding itself. it is a battle for a restaurant just to get the product out today in a consistent way. >> jesse: do you feel that having to raise prices on your customers? it must break the hearts of a lot of these restaurant owners that see the same people come in and out every week, same families, and they are struggling, too, but if you do not raise prices you are not going to be able to stay in business, and that that right? >> we have families, too, so customers paying high fuel

prices, higher prices for everything else. you bet we feel terrible raising was prices. but we have families, too. so it's a very difficult situation. but you almost can't raise the prices quickly enough, just, because things are going up on a daily basis. we can't keep printing menus or posting menus on a daily basis. we sell the chicken wings for $27, they cost $34, so we are losing $7 on an order, i've got to pray that you will have a couple of cokes, may be a dessert or something else that i make money on. it is difficult. >> jesse: money on alcohol, don't you? yeah, it's crazy. just keep giving people booze, that is the only way to get bailed out there. the world is full -- >> but even that, jess -- >> jesse: in your book -- i know, listen, i know. i have dragged my fair share of beverages. i want to plug your book. it is called the power of conflict, and how can we use

a little sticker of joe biden admitting guilt, confessing. and the left is upset because they know every time you fill up the tank, you are reminded of who's fault it is. so the media is doing what they do best: kill the messenger. business insider, probably one of the nastiest and does honest publications in, wrote a hit piece exposing the guy behind the joe biden stickers. calling them the most successful piece of maga propaganda. [laughs] "business insider," and actual propaganda arm of the biden administration, regurgitated the white house false talking point that the president doesn't have any control over gas prices. [laughs] this is another quote they used. "the gas price issue is no different than replacement theory." [laughs] so the media is drawing a straight line from gas prices to mass shooters. the media is breaking their backs shoveling all this crap

take off like this and are you now filthy rich? >> no, we did not know it would. my creative partner in business partner jesse ryan, we were in the office and we do this often, we spitball about things that are said and any time biden opens his bus mouth, it is goodr business. we also -- any time he does it. we were in the office and basically complaining like everybody was on the gas prices first started going up and i basically said there is no one you can blame now, they have to blame him, basically, quays the phrase "i did this" and came up with the sticker as far as him pointing and the rest is history. we have been knocked off by many people, we don't cover, refunded a lot of people that bought stickers. we refunded them and still sent the stickers and also put $20 in random orders to help them with a price.

your ultra maga stuff, really trigger the other side because it is true. >> jesse: hopefully those prices go down soon. don't need to sell stickers like this. i think we all agree on that. >> that is really what they should be focused on, is why the stickers exist. >> jesse: all right. thanks again and you, too. one wisconsin gas station, the sticker shock was just too much. oil giant bp isn't laughing at this little decal situation. they are taking it out on the station's owner. pam coy is now out $400 after the oil company punished her for not peeling off the little stickers from the pumps. bp says they are unauthorized. they go against the rags. but people are frustrated and they are having some fun, and coy is just as fed up with high gas prices as for customers, so she is leaving the stickers up.

with the cars, everybody is suffering through it, everyone is looking for a way to vent and get it off their chest. no one is listening to them. so, for them, it is a way to get that out there. yeah, you know, this is small-town america. we are blue-collar workers in this area. the middle-class and the lower class, they are feeling at the worst. prior to this administration, they were starting to gain. they were all gaining in their incomes and things were better for everybody. you can see it going back the other way. this is really hurting everyone with the gas prices and the increases in groceries, it's crazy. >> jesse: all right. >> oil prices affect everything. >> jesse: they do. and, you know, i know you guys are losing some bonus money. we will send out some copies of "how i save the world," [laughs] may be some fox gear. maybe some goody bags or something like that to kind of take the edge off. we really appreciate all of the hard work you guys are putting in. you know what, tell them not to
