give me 50% off anything i'd buy in the store. >> carley: so you pro spam email. one person in america that gets the junk email and it works on them. i love your fact about black friday. i did not know that. i never shop black friday or go to the mall or anything like that. but there is a small business saturday and we just had this great panel of people on the show a few minutes ago and all small business owners. things have been rough for small business owners the past few years. so tomorrow is important for them and then there is monday and you can shop in your jammies on your couch which is what i like to do. but the sales, the years, it is not one day but like a whole week or two week extravaganza appearance be one that is a i like small business and go out and hit the surf shops to keep them in business. by the way, did you have a great thanksgiving? >> carley: i did. it was a wonderful thanksgiving.

this is my family on the left, my dad when my husband and my mom on the other side. my sister and boyfriend justin. so the family came to new york city to spend time with me and my husband and made the track in and last hour, so true, giving them big props because they had to battle the parade traffic and barriers. thanksgiving is a nightmare to come to new york city, but they did it anyway to see my husband and me. the restaurant we went to, quality bistro. i've never been there before. there are a few quality restaurants, all over new york city but this one was really good, really pretty, and the food was delicious. what did you do? >> griff: your pictures look so awesome and professionally done. i stayed at home and cooked with my family, and i took pictures sitting at the table. as a photographer i did a portrait mode. half of the family is out of focus.

i did have to take an action shot of the turkey because i felt like that is something you are supposed to do. we bribed that thing or my daughter did. it turned out amazing. and then come of course, the gravy is the most important, cherished job in the family. madeline taking over. she knocked it out of the park. she is now the gravy queen. smooth, just the right taste, oh, my goodness, so very, very good. >> carley: you know what it is about the first picture, you are trying to protect your children's identities, lurking in the background. >> griff: this, by the way is rascal looking at my plate. he didn't want to look at the camera. >> carley: what kind of dog as he because he so cute. >> griff: a jack russell and the house involves around making sure he has the comfort he needs. he obviously got some last night as well. >> carley: that is so great. the last thing about my

thanksgiving that i will mention is my parents and my sister came early because, you know, we have to go to bed early to wake up for the show. so, my husband and i before bed, still hankering for turkey and thanksgiving day food because we ate sorely. so more food from a diner. it was honestly really good, too. we had a very successful thanksgiving. a little nontraditional but maybe next year i will cook a turkey. >> griff: there you go. >> ca>> griff: we will send youe gravy recipe. meanwhile, he could be harder to get groceries, gifts and other goods with possible massive strike looming. >> carley: this is not good news and president biden contradicting the white house where things really stand. kevin corke live in washington with more, kevin. >> carley, griff, good morning the white house messaging on potential rail strike is, at

the white house team is working behind the scenes to avert potentially a shut down. the impact of which could be devastating to the u.s. economy. let me show some numbers. and this will crystallize why we believe this will be potentially a dramatic and possibly catastrophic rail shutdown. we are talking about not just the holiday shopping season but all the shipping. think about the boxes and stuff that have to go everywhere. and around 160 billion job loss, 700,000. and in case you are wondering diesel fuel costs keep rising and rising and rising. if you are not going to get it out there by rail, you have to get it out there by truck. and that's more than premium in a lot of places. economists a potential rail strike, frankly, does not come as a big surprise. >> so much of the goods and services, you know, half of the stuff we get at the stores, the

with a budget under president trump year of the center for renewing america. thank you for coming on. i hope you had a great thanksgiving. i want to get right into this as people head out to shop. let me show you a recent survey of american shoppers who found 51% are buying things for the holidays because of inflation. 36% say they will be using more coupons and 27% are scaling back on gift giving. what do you make of this? >> this is a basic response to what consumers, families, small businesses are saying right now. they have less money at their disposal. inflation is up. everything is costing a lot more. we saw thanksgiving with people not being able to have the expensive food spread and be able to have the thanksgiving day dinner at the same level they were previous years. so families are making decisions on the basis of that year that is one of the reasons why we

have to get this economy growing more. you have to tackle inflation and be able to get the fundamentals and a situation where families are not having to make these kind of decisions because of the economic reality that they are facing in the supermarket or today as they go out for black friday. >> griff: you are right. and the cbi indexes prices are up nearly 8%. you know, we did hold the country but let me show you the fox voter analysis of what issue matters most to you as you properly pointed out, it is the economy and jobs. of course, that is due to inflation and abortion, immigration and health care. even though it hurts our pocketbooks, the ballot box, if you will. that is not going to bode well for businesses. >> no. i don't think so. i don't think it will improve next year either. but thankfully, we have a new

house majority coming into office and the new year and perhaps we have some sanity to allow us to be able to have a different energy policy that gets all of the above or at least all of american energy without substitutes back on the table and allows us to stop spending money that creates inflation hole and allows people to just save money and not have fritter away and made a fool. but then have money to spend it when they need to and not be making decisions based on the high prices that they are facing. we have got to get beyond where we are as a country right now. >> griff: just in the last 30 seconds with speaker kevin mccarthy coming in, we presume, is there one thing you would advise him to do to get the inflation under control? >> well, i'm not sure it will be kevin mccarthy. there will be a vote in january

for thanksgiving day break all students and staff will be expected to provide proof of a negative covid-19 test. patrick and stacy are parents and join me now. this is a little bit shocking because the cdc no longer recommends that schools should have test to bring kids back into the classroom. stacy, your reaction. >> you are right. i spoke with some parents recently. and we collectively expressed our grievances about the d.c. government involved in parent family decisions and regarding our children and the medical health. we want limited government involvement. and we want them in disagreement fully with the mandates. where were the mandates,

>> good morning. yes, this is another example of democrat overreach and a big city. griff, d.c. school students were out a better part of the year and forced to take virtual learning. we lost a lot of kids. and disproportionately impacted, disadvantage constituencies with huge overlap with the african american community. this is another barrier to learning for the district of columbia. this is unusual orthodox and not being done anywhere else. it is just another wall that d.c. public schools and democrats in the city are putting up to prevent here or there is no reason for this whatsoever. >> griff: stacy, is there any recourse? who can you call? the superintendent and mayor muriel bowser? >> you know, i have tried

calling and for other reasons. they will be involved in our decision-making when they feel like it. yes, we can call all we want, but the word around town is you won't get a call back. you will barely even get any response by email. and then, who is to say that these covid tests or even valid when done at home? i remember when it was before and after i had a covid experience. my daughter was trying to help me take the covid test. i kept trying to get the swab of my nose. these tests, who is to say these test results are even real and correct? >> griff: well, you raise a good point. you raise an interesting point, those are tough tests. here is what i want to focus on, patrick. our parents voices being heard

small business and foreign affairs committee. happy thanksgiving and thanks for joining us. your reaction to all these moves by elon musk. >> thank you, griff, i used to be a small newspaper owner. we had a family-owned newspaper and transparency and giving the information directly to the people so they can make decisions about government is essential to any newspaper or in this case twitter and online public outlet. i think it's great that elon musk is going to expose. this probably nothing interfered more with the 2020 election than the suppression of the evidence that was in hunter biden's laptop. remember, there were 5 # so-called intelligence agents who claimed this was typically russian disinformation and not credible. now we know that it's credible and i think it's important that elon musk reveals this. and reveals the conversations as to why we're suppressing evidence that was critical in knowing the president of the united states or soon-to-be his relationship with his son, with corrupt organizations and his
