seat. hope you have a chance to check out my podcast. jason in the house. check it out anywhere you listen to podcasts. i think you'll enjoy it. sean is back monday. "the ingraham angle" is next. have a great weekend. >> i'm in for "the ingraham angle." we have a big show. let's jump in. the biden administration word of the year is shortage. >> we talk about a teacher shortage. >> we saw the impact of the chip shortage, housing, short anding in the united states. >> shortage in shipping, trucking shortage. >> what haven't we had a shortage of this year? everyone remembers baby

formula in the spring, mothers were stuck driving hours to get one bottle to feed newborns. >> problems being able to feed your baby. >> it has been a nightmare. every few days, hunting for baby formula. >> how haven't we learned from this? the same mothers may be struggling if they have older kids. now we're seeing a shortage of and the bikes, children's tylenol, and labor shortage impacting everything from snowplow drivers to orlando restaurant workers. even 911 calls. there aren't enough ems workers to go around, leading to lag in response time, some situations could mean life or death. your safety is at stake. the "the ingraham angle" well documented the shortages. now we learn about lack of public defenders. listen to what's happening in oregon because of it. >> crimes involving

misdemeanors and felonies are being dismissed, including crimes like property crimes, crimes of firearms, low level assault and cases of domestic violence. >> we cannot continue like this. did you know there's a diesel fuel shortage. one major supplier called this a code red. diesel is used to power trucks, buses, trains, construction and manufacturing equipment. it is even used to heat homes. >> the winter gets really harsh, i don't know how we do it. >> thinking of going back to my other part-time job i had before covid, two part-time jobs to survive. >> that's what it is about for so many now. survival. biden promised us a better america. when are we going to see that? joining me, mike huckabee, former arkansas governor. wisconsin governor, and author of the book put y'all back in chains. governor, good to see you. hope you had a great
7:03 pm
thanksgiving. what's happening here? why are there so many shortages? >> well, what we really have is we have a shortage of informed voters. so the voters keep electing the same people who give us policies that result in shortages. i don't know how that's going to change as long as we have an incredibly dishonest news media that refuses to tell an objective and balanced sense of the truth. they think joe biden is doing a great job because the media says he is doing a great job, the fact he can't put a sentence together, walk off a stage without somebody coming and guiding him by the arm is totally missed by most of the people. and it is a shortage of good information on the part of voters. >> really good point. congressman, here's the concerns. these are good paying jobs. you have people that aren't filling them. is this an education issue or from congress where people are paid to stay home. this is almost unamerican. never had this issue in the past.
7:04 pm
what's going on here? >> this is where so many people, we want to get our economy and country back on track. good news is we can take the speaker gavel from mrooez january 3rd. we can control reckless spending, help get workers back to work. that's one of the big things driving the shortage is labor policies, too many people still sitting on the sidelines. >> what's your take here, what do we need to address this issue. it doesn't just stop there, another shortage, forensic pathologists. 750 are working full time, twice as many are needed to cope with rising case loads due to drug overdose deaths, rise in violent crime and covid-19 pandemic. biden's policies on crime and covid make this shortage even worse. >> michael dukakis once said the fish rots from the head first. this administration is falling for every woke

solution and they get lauded in the media while ignoring all the more important issues. the supply chain problem is rampant across the board. a quick example. i went looking for some envelopes. i wanted the window on the right side instead of the left side. four different places that i went to and they said they were out. there's a shortage. we have a problem where this administration paid too many people to stay home and threatened to punish people that want to produce and the people that work. >> anyone who shops, go to a grocery store, go to a drugstore, you see bare shelves you've never seen in the history of the country. i want to move on. i'll go to the governor here. biden used a recent tragedy as a way to push his gun grab. >> the idea we still allow
7:06 pm
semi automatic weapons to be purchased is sick. just sick. it has no, no social redeeming value. zero. none. not a single solitary rationale for it. >> governor, you have a tragedy and joe biden is pushing an assault weapons ban. what do you say to the president using this kind of tragedy for political gain? >> it is a horrible tragedy but the president is not helping any by his utter ignorance of firearms. semi automatic has been around more than 100 years. many of us who are hunters as am i, we duck hunt with semi automatic shotguns, turkey hunt with semi automatic weapons, we protect our homes with semi automatic hand guns. a semi automatic is not some exotic technical firearm device. it is a simple device, over around more than 100 years. most people have at least one semi automatic. for him to say there's no
7:07 pm
rational reason to have one is really more truth of saying there's no rational reason joe biden should be president. >> he is a guy that's protected by guys with a lot of semi automatic firearms that keep him safe. you can't have one yourself. congressman, what do you think. this is a tight majority for republicans in the house. can a bill like this pass with republican majority and kevin mccarthy's leadership? >> no, you're not going to see the republican majority coming and banning things like semi automatic guns. this is deer season in wisconsin. i venture to say half the deer season hunters that are out there are with semi automatic guns. you're not going to see republicans and congress move to restrict reasonable guns across our country. >> some in wisconsin call it holy week. hunting season. who i want to move to retirement plans. the biden administration is doubling down on the

esg scam, changing a rule makes it easier for plans to invest in so-called socially responsible companies. the rule covers plans that collectively invest $12 trillion. horace, how is the left injecting their agenda into our retirement plans? >> we need to call this the cat food plan. money you have been working for years if not decades to set aside so when you retire you can live a decent, pleasant life, is going to be snatched out of your hands, and now you'll be given the opportunity to buy cat food. if the supply chain makes it available. this is what this president has done. now, the positive development is this. on the last election, millions more americans actually voted for freedom, for liberty, for self government and

personal responsibility. the media hasn't told us that but if this trend continues, blacks, whites, and browns voting millions more in favor of freedom, we can unshackle ourselves from this president who has the reverse midas touch. >> congressman, you serve on the financial services committee. we already had folks' retirement plans crushed by this market. i hope the committee will take a look into whether funds are giving return on investments for retirees or this esg issue. is that something the committee will look at? >> absolutely, sean. we need proper oversight, particularly over the securities and exchange commission. chairman gensler came before the committee zero times in the last two years. we have a lot of questions we need to be asking to make sure the securities and exchange commission isn't driving awoke agenda. we're going to see the tables turn, opportunity

7:11 pm
for many countries. >> joining me, gored and chang, author of the great u.s. china tech war. gordon, thanks for being with me. happy thanksgiving to you. davos is saying china is the model the world should follow, what say you? >> china is committing genocide, crimes against humanity, stealing hundreds of billions of dollars of u.s. intellectual property each year, spreading covid-19, 6.6 million deaths outside china. this is horrific. especially now when china is actually falling apart. you see the chinese people in uprising, open rebellion at that apple iphone plant. his timing is awful. >> i look at this, american elites, american business leaders go to davos and listen to this garbage and bring it back here. i wonder do american business elites want
7:12 pm
america to look more like china? seems like that's what they're doing. >> go back six months ago, that was clearly the case. you have michael bloomberg and the black rock chairman, larry fink talking about china. you were mentioning esg. yeah. of course, esg. but they invest in china, which is the worst esg violator of them all. >> speaking of michael bloomberg, he is groflg after boris johnson called the chinese government a coercive autocrisy, bloomberg said those were his thoughts and his thoughts alone. to those of you who were upset and concerned by what the speaker said, you have my apologies. gordon, bloomberg is apologizing not to the chinese people who are protesting to your point but actually to the chinese government. >> yeah. bloomberg says xi gin ping is not a dictate or, talks about it like a democracy. he said he was duly
7:13 pm
elected. he chairs the pentagon defense board. he couldn't get clearance or keep one if he made those comments to the fbi. it shows bloomberg is one of the most capable in the world but his comments cast down loyalty to the united states. >> why does he have this position at the pentagon? >> biden appointed it to him. he is a big donor. i don't know what's in biden's head, but he shouldn't be at the pentagon at all. >> after those comments should be fired. >> absolutely. >> is the real solution looking at the rising threat of china, it is a communist country, to we need to decouple from china and look home to manufacture these things, talk about aevnti-by ott imcompetents. do we need to make it here again? >> yes, and computer

chips. not just the sophisticated stuff. we have communities in tennessee that have fentanyl because people lost hope. people need to have manufacturing jobs. all of the folks coming across the southern border come from central america. those central american countries were devastated by china's admission to world trade organization, all of the factories went across the pacific. we need factories to not only stabilize the southern border but stabilize kentucky and over states where people don't have hope because they don't have jobs. >> you need business leaders to say i care about my country men and communities that helped build this business, you can't throw them to the side and go to china and say i will make my goods in china and come back and sell them in the u.s. you need patriots in business that care about the home land, right? >> absolutely. you were talking about antibiotics. first months of the pandemic, china threatened
7:15 pm
to cut off anti-by the imcompetents. stopped 15e8 of personal protective equipment. they stopped manufacturing n95 masks. >> thanks for joining me. happy thanksgiving. >> thank you, sean. >> 230,000, that's how many liillegal immigrants were apprehended at the border. that doesn't include the number is of got aways. sources tell fox news the average of 2700 got aways illegally cross daily. and with weeks left to expected end of title 42, that number is expected to absolutely explode. house minority leader kevin mccarthy was just down at the border, says that chaos like this is why dhs secretary mayorkas needs to resign. >> if secretary mayorkas does not resign, house
7:16 pm
republicans will investigate every order, every action and every failure. we will hold our hearings at the border so the democrats can no longer hide from the crisis they have created. >> joining me, republican congressman and former acting i.c.e. director under president trump. thank you for joining me. congresswoman, dhs told fox news mayorkas has no plan to resign, congress needs to stop finger pointing and work on solutions. what's your reaction? >> well, i would say he had solutions when he took the position. they handed him solutions, remain in mexico policy, title 42, these were tools in the tool box that were doing the job. he systematically because they were trump policies has been undermining them, taking them off the table since the very beginning. i have a message for mayorkas. do your job. protect our country, secure our borders. every day that you take
7:17 pm
more tools and empower drug cartels, you enrich sex traffickers, you are putting americans in harm and you have to be held accountable and congress is going to do exactly that. >> ron, i look at this. it is disgusting, the policies at the border. you can change out mayorkas, but if you don't change joe biden, he will just put another mayorkas in place, keep the border open and flow of illegals coming in. isn't biden the problem and not mayorkas? >> well, certainly starts at the top, right? the buck stops at the white house. they've had two years to work on this problem and in the last two years it has gotten worse every single day. you talk about the numbers. thousands and thousands of people coming across the border every night, many never seen by law enforcement. what we know in history is that there's criminals inside the groups, people wanted on the terror watch
7:18 pm
database. pedophiles, you name it. those are the ones trying to evade law enforcement. mayorkas comes to the job day one and knows what goes on at the border. he was the deputy at the dhs when the surge in 2014 occurred and saw us fix it. he knows what the policy should be and what works. and they're moving the other direction. yeah, it is due to the white house putting him in charge. >> congresswoman went on the defensive when asked about the border. >> what is his plan, what is he doing to help the situation we're seeing? we have put a solution to this on the president's first day in the white house, he put forth a comprehensive immigration, stopping fentanyl before it makes it to the streets of the united states. so we have a plan, the republican party has no plan. they do nothing except do political stunts. >> congresswoman, the democrat plan, the pied plan is to keep the border open. there is a republican plan
7:19 pm
that probably looks like president trump's former plan, but what will republicans do here? >> so i would suggest the white house actually look at the bills we have put forward, that we have been able to make sight of day because we have an administration and speaker that won't bring them to the floor. there's a number of bills to address this. texas congress members working with the state of texas, working with leadership have come up with a plan for our borders, specifically within texas. we have a plan. the plan was already in existence before the president took office. i would argue you can say that biden because of mental incapacity does not have the ability to be able to say, look at the circumstances in which he put the country. mayorkas cannot use that excuse. he had the tools. we have a plan. they've seen the plan. they just have chosen to completely ignore it. and people that are in office in place before the administration came in met
7:20 pm
with them. they told them these are the tools that are working. if you take these away, this will be the consequence. they knew it and they did it anyway. >> saying listen, we are stopping fentanyl at the border. >> last time i looked it is all over the country. people are dying. they're not stopping fentanyl at the border. it is raging into the country and devastating families and people's lives. >> it is not a coincidence. we lost over 100,000 americans last year at the same time the border is completely out of control. those are related and for them to say they have a plan and what we watched in the last two years, all of the deterioration, when the president took over, they had 40 year lows in activity at the southwest border. now look at it. now it is unrecognizable. we have never seen a surge like we see now on the southwest border. never happened before. >> ron, i want to come back to you again. 2007, 100 a day got aways. most people come across
7:21 pm
the border want to turn themselves into border patrol, they want to be caught, but 2700 that don't want to be caught, want to run away, these are not good people, right? this is a real risk to safety of the country, whether drug dealers, murderers, rapists, terrorists. a threat to the home land. >> they're trying to evade law enforcement because they have criminal da records. they're going all over the country and will settle in terrible neighborhoods, prey upon poor people in those places. that's what criminals do. those are in the mix. those are people that are trying to evade. >> congresswoman, senator kelly from arizona was asked about whether democrats understand the problem at the border, in essence, he responded no, they don't understand it. do you think democrats are figuring out the border is a problem, especially those that represent states or districts in the southern part of the country? >> congresswoman escobar

7:30 pm
know we had some friends of the survivors at the house before law enforcement arrived. we know we have local law enforcement first on the scene, not experts from the fbi. could the scene have been contaminated and could be impacting the investigation? >> could very well. not just the crime scene immediately inside the house and in the rooms but the surrounding area as well. it was a pretty narrow crime scene to begin with, they were expanding it out wards and out wards. i noticed snow was on the ground where the sliding glass door is. it could well have been trampled outside and inside. just very -- this type of crime scene needs to be pristine for you to get the maximum or best results out of it. i hate to describe it in that clinical since when these are human beings, but you have to know what you're doing. >> hate to monday morning quarterback the local law enforcement but you're right, they arrive first, they don't deal with these cases very often, probably

didn't wait until experts came in. the house is three stories, two bedrooms on each floor. two victims found on the second floor, two on the third floor. two other roommates were home at the time but weren't harmed. what can we learn about the attacker that bypassed the first floor, went to the second and third floor? >> if you look at the house, it is kind of a split level house. the first floor, i interpret that to be kind of a basement floor. you come in at ground level, you're on second floor. that would make sense if he's a target of opportunity or whether it was targeting a specific person that you feel would come in on the ground floor and go up. we don't know. downstairs basement might have been locked, doors might have been locked. my spidey sense tells me this is a target of opportunity. this is a predator, not someone who as they say
7:32 pm
targeted a specific person because they knew them. they may have targeted them because they followed them, drove them, had some passing contact with them. but i don't see this as a very close up and personal relationship type killing. >> which would say it wa wasn't a crime of passion. to that point as the killer came in the house, obviously look in one bedroom. if the target was there, if that's what was happening, and they kill both people in the room, why go to the other bedroom and commit another crime, or if they weren't in the first bedroom, why not leave it alone, go to the target's bedroom. but you have two different bedrooms, four people dead. to your point, it seems like it was something other than a crime of passion. >> this seems to me to be someone who wanted to kill. that's why i say there needs to be a team, there probably are by now, looking at other murders around the country that are similar. ted bundy hit in four or

five states over about five years, and the police departments never really connected those dots for several years actually. so i don't know that the system exists out there between states that allows them to sort of mine the data inside police files around the country if you will. there's rudimentary databases, but not the kind of databases they need to connect up the dots. they have to do it almost manually or have someone call from another department, say we have something here. again, my mind goes to a predator. it goes to someone who is a psychotic killer if you will. hate to describe it in those terms, but close up and personal. i just don't see that here. >> it is almost a benefit of the internet and the crime had so much press that people who had similar crimes in their communities that aren't far away are raising their voices, making those connections for law enforcement which i think
