letting folks know i really loved that case -- [laughter] happy to buy it. you don't want to take it home, i'll buy it right now. rachel: it's so good to know wes made right here in america, and it's so good to support small businesses especially this holiday season. it's been a off few years for those who take the risk on a small business. will: that's absolutely true. with inflation, with shutdowns, it's good to support local small business. you're absolutely right, it's been a struggling. speaking of struggle, americans having trouble keeping up with soaring inflation. president biden, though, is spending the holiday weekend in nantucket. ing. joey: let's not forget there's a potential rail strike on the horizon that could devastate nearly every u.s. industry. rachel: alexandria hoff is live in washington with all these details. good morning. >> reporter: well, good morning. that rail blow could happen as soon as two weeks from now as the tentative deal brokered by the biden administration back in

september is on track to fall apart. as of this week, 4 of 12 rail unions voted to reject that deal meaning that a strike could take hold december 9th, crippling the already fragile supply chain right before the christmas holiday. with that could come 700,000 jobs lost, a 4% spike in inflation, a 1-point reduction in the gdp, overall a $is 60 -- 160 billion economic drop according to the american chemistry council which has a real stake in this game. 33,000 train carloads of chemicals are ships a-- ships a -- shipped across the country. >> our country literally cannot afford a shutdown of the rail network. this is an economic calamity waiting to happen, so that's why it's so important we have leadership from both the white house and from congress to move ahead x. and so we really are looking to president biden to engage not only with the unions, the railroads, but also with

congress to prevent this strike from happening. >> reporter: spending is already way up for american families. a moody's analysis shows that inflation increased the average household spending to $433 a month, that's up 7.7% from last year. americans in search of discounts prompted a new record high for black pretty online shopping, anded president biden in search of some deals in person; that is, while staying at the $20 million nantucket home of a billionaire friend. while there the president and his family did some black friday shopping. that includes hunter biden who the new gop-led house vows to investigate. at the same time, twitter's new ceo, elon musk, has suggested he will reveal the document that led to twitter banning stories involving punt hunter biden's laptop. one user here saying this is necessary to restore public trust. and, remember, a federal investigation is also continuing into the biden family's overseas business dealings.

hunter, you haven't been charged with anything yet. [laughter] another political cartoon has joe biden saying i pardon turkey, and then hunter says, gobble-gobble. [laughter] i think this is interesting because i think it has been brilliant on the part of joe biden and the media to continue to call in the hunter biden scandal. this is, of course, nefarious, very unseemly things being done by hunter biden, but the real story is joe biden. he's the big guy, and he is the one who is the president and is compromised because of these deals as it pertains to china, a communist country that is our enemy. will: well, republicans have promised they'll get to the bottom of it now that there is control of the house of respectives. there's a promise they will law. there's a promise that they will launch. an investigation into corruption at the highest levels of the american government.

miranda devine says these investigations will reveal something about joe biden. >> i think that the republicans who are talking about their twin committees which will be investigating material related to hunter biden's laptop by going wellen beyond, they have made it crystal clear. james comer and jim jordan have said publicly several times since the midterm elections that this is not about hunter biden, it is about joe biden. it is about the sitting president, the millions of dollars that came through to his family's bank accounts, potentially also benefiting him from foreign countries, from our adversaries, from china, from russia and whether or not that has compromised him now as the sitting president. rachel: that's the question. and i think we have some answers for that. i mean, laptop shows very clear, you know, e-mails. we have tony bobulinski also saying that he testified. said the fbi wasn't interested

in hearing anything about it. he knows joe biden was involved with that. and then we have other things like the keys to hunter biden's office in washington, d.c., jill biden and joe biden had keys to that office. that office he shared with a man who has ties to the communist chinese government, a chinese national. why would joe biden and jill biden have keys to their son's office? i mean, how is that possible? do you parents have keys to your office here? i doubt it. do your parents have keys to your office? probably not unless you have a family business. joey: i don't know, i'm probably stepping into muddy water, but they probably had to keep a close eye on him for some of his bad habits. maybe it's that simple. rachel: you're so nice, joey. you think joe biden was going to check if he had cocaine in the office? [laughter] joey: i mean, the guy's an absolute mess. he's not a very good human being from everything i know about

him, and i don't mind saying that. i completely agree that the story here for the american people is how complicit is joe biden in these accusations against hunter. but at the same time the, hunter biden is nothing more than an american citizen, and he needs to absolutely be held accountable for the things we mow he has done, leaving a gun in a trash and oh things. -- other things. will: these stories always go according to form, and the longer it drags out, the more it gets repetitive and it's dismissed as boring or a gop conspiracy theory or a gop fixation. rachel: right. will: but let's not forget, like, the depth of which the level of importance lies. it is about -- yes, on one hand of course of the censorship and the control of the american mind. but on another, the potential corruption at the highest levels of the american government. are we compromised? look, we're in a situation where some have said, i mean, i think the projection's been made by some that we could be in a kinetic conflict, that's a mice

way of saying war -- mice way of saying war, with china within five years. it's important to note if the commander in chief of the united states of america is fully not just about his wits, but about clear-eyed, no compromise when it comes to that adversary. rachel: the problem is this family and joe biden specifically has sold out our country in order to enrich our own family. i asked senator ron johnson directly, is joe biden compromise, and he said, yes, there's no other explanation for several policies that he has gotten behind and, or blocked that would have benefited the chinese government and hurt our own country. so those are things that we have to look at. i also asked michael pillsbury and gordon chang directly, is joe biden compromised based on what you to know from the laptop and the policies they promoted, and they both said, yes. joey: maybe you can stomach a certain amount of corruption if,

perhaps, you're doing the rest of the job well. but look at places like our border. the job's not getting done there. the border patrol many del rio sector is reporting in a single 7-day stretch, 10,343 illegal crossing, almost 6,000 known gotaways and 6 sex offend pers who were arrested. cbp sources are telling us just the del rio sector alone had 34,000 gotaways since october 1st. will: since october 1st. rachel: unbelievable. will, i think it was you who interviewed brandon judd -- joey: yeah, had brandon judd on last hour, and this is him talking about the high numbers. >> del rio is only one of nine sectors. you look across the entire southwest border, we're seeing this everywhere. we're seeing it in the tucson and the rgv sector.

we should only be ap apprehending between 30-40,000 every single month. we're up to 20 the 0,000. we should only be seeing about 5,000 gotaways every single month. we're seeing, you know, upwards of 60,000 gotaways every single month. and this continues to play out. we could bring more judges down to the border, hold people in custody, we could reinstate the remain in mexico program which allowed us to drop illegal migration to 45-year lows, and we can take the handcuffs off of agents, start prosecuting individuals for violating our laws. rachel: so under donald trump we had the most security that we've ever had at our border, and border patrol and residents who live along the border have all testified that that's what happened. and now joe biden comes in, reverses those policies, and we have the worst crisis we've ever had in history of our country in terms of illegal immigration. and what's interesting, will, is the president hasn't come down to see it.

so sean was telling me, you know, in congress as a politician when you do something that you're proud of, you, you know, let's say you got money for the bridge in your district, you want to come for the ribbon cutting. you want everyone to mow i did this, right? -- to know i did this, right? joe biden and kamala harris know exactly what you're seeing right there on the screen, that that has happened, and they don't want to bring attention to it. they know it's hurting our country, but they don't want you to talk about it, which is why they don't come down. they're not proud of it, but they still want it to happen because somehow it's benefiting them. will: when you come into office and you promise transformative change, and that's really what the democratic party has been promising for quite some time now, transformative change, you are talking about digging your resultedder deep into the water -- rudder deep into the water, right? and you have no idea the ripple effects of this. and pete hegseth has said this, it feels like something's about to break.

just ensustainable before something breaks -- unsustainable. we know our economy's hanging on by baling wire right now. we're talking this morning about a potential rail strike. everything feels like it's about to break, and that's what happens, is my point, when you promise transtomorrowtive change. you have no idea the ripple effects into everyday life. rachel: one thing that could, you know, you talk about something's about to break, just in october 40 known terrorists crossed our border. since the beginning of the year we had 90. so this is a huge increase. this is a massive national security threat. st the unbelievable that alejandro mayorkas isn't ashamed of himself, that joe biden isn't ashamed of himself that they would endanger purposefully, open our borders and endanger the american people, put them at kind of risk. it's just unbelievable. joey: their answer is to just not have any. they don't even acknowledge the

problem. democrats in maybe an era past would often the dire situation these great people are in and how important it is we need the labor. right now their answer is to say, oh, the border is secure. just ignore it all together because they know the messaging they've used didn't work. rachel: when i went to the border and interviewed people in the del rio sector, just citizens who live there, i asked hem all, is this intentional? is what is happening here intentional? every single one of them said, yes. will: you're absolutely right, joey. in the past this would have been explained through the lens of empathy, now it's explained through east silence or the lie that the border is secure. rachel: yeah, absolutely. we begin, by the way, your headlines with a fox news alert. at least 8 people are reportedly dead after a landslide on the eyal january eye beyond with -- island of -- you can see it took out a chunk of that house and an entire hillside. crews are searching the rubble and debris for at least 13 people who are reported missing,

that includes a family with 2 children and parents with a few born. a suspect is under arrest in connection with a deadly quadruple shooting near houston on thanksgiving. police say a man stormed in through a back door at the end of dinner, shooting and killing his ex-wife and another man. a 15-year-old boy and a fourth victim were injured. four others who were at the home celebrating the holiday were unharmed. and take a look at these incredible photos out of colorado. 8,000 u.s. soldiers from the 4th infantry division at fort carson are showcasing their skills. st it's part of a tribute to the hundreds who lost their lives 55 years ago in vietnam. it was one of the bloodiest ballots of the war. the fight raged for four behalf days. incredible footage there -- four and a half days. and those are your headlines. joey: you ever see somebody wearing that vietnam hat, it's easy to say thank you for your

♪ joey: welcome back. chaos is erupting in china as workers riot at the world's largest iphone factory over a pay dispute in one of the country's most locked-down cities. it comes as covid-19 resurges despite the communist regime's strict zero tolerance policy. get this, with almost 250,000 cases just this past week. here to react is national relations expert, dr. rebecca grant. doctor, good morning.

thanks for joining us. give us your take on the riots in this town and what's happening. >> this tells me that china's xi jinping's got problems. he's got a slow economy, and now this zero covid lockdown policy has caused riots. and this riot was a combination of a wage protest and protests over the lockdowns. this is an iphone 14 plant, they make about 80% of that production, and these workers live in dorms on site. they were told they'd get paid more, showed up and told they wouldn't get paid that amount, and they were under lockdown. joey, i hate seeing these riots over a product that we buy. it's just not right. joey: i like how you connect what's happening in china, you know, you've said this is probably a covid lockdown and wage dispute, not just something technical like wages. it's also how they're being treated. but i like how you connect it back to our own supply chain and the idea that this highlights

our reliance on authoritarian dictatorship or really a country that has no freedoms. so people riot like this, that's a product that we use every day that we don't have anymore. >> yes, it does. and you see the chinese police there are cracking down, and it makes me wonder when are we americans going to wake up to the true costs of having all this manufacturing in china whether it's the supply chain vulnerabilities or these sites that a -- sights that we hate to see. this is just wrong. and this affects not only phones, but solar panel components, rare everetts, whatever it is -- rare earths. we've got to wake up to the true cost of having all this manufacturing in china. joey: heir locking down, they're having all these new cases of covid, big numbers. they're doing a zero tolerance policy here when it comes to getting these places locked down. why is china dealing with this now when, say, here in the u.s. we feel like we're kind of past it? >> most of the world is past it, but china is just starting to

deal with the omicron variant. they've done a lot of vaccinations, but remember, they don't use the mrna vaccine because they're not chinese-made. they use their own vaccines, they're not as effective. they're dead virus vaccines. and they just have a much bigger problem really than any place else in the world right now. and chinese people have been watching the world cup in qatar, seeing the rest of the world is not in lockdown, but they are. that is xi jinping's policy to try to prevent the spread of covid. just tells you communism is not that good at governing. joey: real quick, you point that out that people are watching the world cup and seeing that. we're talking about riots. are you suggesting that this shows that even shi skin ping's power is weakened -- xi jinping's power is weakened? >> china couldn't even qualify a team for the world cup. they're big football fans. they sent two live pandas and some merchandise, but they see the rest of the world is really

defending his use of emergency powers to end the freedom convoy from test against vaccine mandates. joey: here in the u.s. dr. fauci was just depotsed in a lawsuit alleging -- depotsed in a lawsuit. will: outkick founder clay travis joins us now with his reaction. good morning to you prosecute site of, well, maybe the biggest game of the season in college football which we'll get to, but what's your reaction to what you're hearing from justin justin trudeau and the stuff that's beginning to come out with deposition with anthony fauci? >> i think we are continuing, guys, to move in the direction of this is the biggest public policy failure for the united states since the vietnam war. and slowly you are recognizing this rear guard action of trying to defend the decision making. you're with also hearing, guys, a lot of, well, we didn't know any better at the time. and in particular many people are focusing on schools.

but what justin trudeau did to those brave truckers who stood up for freedom and what you're seeing happen now with sort of the vaccine mandate vanishing and people pretending that there was never firings that happened, i think this is why the first bill the house of representatives should pass, guys, and i -- trump said in his announcement for 2024. look, anyone who was fired especially in our armed services for refusing to get the covid shot should get their job back and they should get back pay. and i think this is true for virtually anyone out there who lost a public, you know, facing job whether it was a schoolteacher, someone who worked in a hospital, someone who worked many our military. and until we start to have a reckon reckoning for all the failures of covid policy, i don't think we can get back to normalcy in this country. rachel: you know, clay, it's so important that we -- some people say, let's move on. the atlantic magazine saying we need amnesty on what happened,

we've just got to move on, let's move forward, look forward. no. we don't correct this, aren't we just setting ourselves up for a repeat of all of these freedom cans that were taken away and also, clay, a generation of young people, those people that are in the universities right behind you there, those college can kids, they've been normalized. they think that what happened is normal, and it's not. >> i think that's 100% right. and that's why we need to have a reckoning in some form or fashion for the failures of public policy. i also think, look, a lot of people who are the so-called experts in country that got everything wrong with the idea that we had, remember, essential and nonessential businesses. you know what an essential business is? every single one that employs somebody and lets them pay their mortgages. and, unfortunately, we're just now dealing with a lot of the fallout, you know, in the economy. i think into 2023 so many people have not reentered the work force, and the precedent,

rachel, to your point, we don't know when another virus like is going to arise. hopefully it's not for another hundred years, hopefully no one alive today goes true this again -- through this again, but there is a decent chance will happen again, and we have to learn from these failures and ensure that we never if repeat them again and also, frankly, we have to hold, i believe, our political leaders who allowed this to occur accountable going forward for their failures of judgment. joey: you know, clay, you're talking about accountability, responsibility, you're talking about learning lessons, admitting your failures, moving on and doing better, and you're standing there at the site of a game we play in this country where all of those things actually still happen. >> yes, yes. joey: it's such an american thing. we've got michigan and, i hate to say this, the ohio state university playing today. tell us what you got on this game and what the fallout of this game could be. >> yes. look, it's the biggest game of the year, i think, in college football. just to my right right now, you guys may be able to hear some of

turning now to your headlines. two jeffrey epstein victims filing separate lawsuits on thursday against two banking giants. they claim deutsche and jpmorgan chase knowingly benefited financially from from epstein's sex trafficking operation. wow. the accusers remain anonymous. deutsche bank denies the allegations. jpmorgan chase declined to excellent. comment. and dramatic video shows the coast guard rescuing a man who fell off a carnival cruise ship into the gulf of mexico on thanksgiving. you can see him treading water andawaying his arms. i thought this might be a typo, but it's not. he was out there for about 15 hours. i couldn't survive in a bathtub for 15 hours. eventually, guardsmen were able to pull the man out. he was showing signs of hypothermia but is in stable condition. his sister reported him missing and said he was last seen at the cruise ship's bar. be safe on those boats.

a statue of a young abraham lincoln vandalized in a a chicago park on thanksgiving day. activists splashing red paint on the i statue. they also defaced it with graffiti with the words colonizer and land bag. this is the second time in the last month that a lincoln statue has been vandalized in the windy city, and there's just nothing safe. they're coming after everything. and as we just mentioned, it's football saturday, and mans across -- fans across the country are out in force tailgating. fox news digital traveled to the university of georgia for a recent home game and asked, what is the best tailgate food. please don't let me down. let's take a listen. >> my favorite is barbecued ribs because don't nobody if do it like i do it. >> i love macaroni and cheese. it's so cheesy. officially adopted baby maya after the newborn was given up and left in a safe haven baby box when e she was only one day old. bruce and shelby join us now with their two beautiful adopted daughters, 8-year-old kaia and baby maya. welcome to "fox & friends." tell us about this story and the importance of the safe haven box that was left in front of your hospital for moms who are in crisis pregnancies and birth and how you got this baby. >> to be honest, we didn't know anything about safe haven baby boxes before we got the call prosecute if department of child services. so it's our understanding that these boxes are located all across the country, and her primarily stationed at -- they are primarily station thed at fire stations and hospitals. and they are a place where a mom who maybe has an unplanned pregnancy or a baby that she can't care for can safely and

anonymously surrender that child and then it can find a forever home, and that was our story of how we got maya. rachel: so, bruce, baby maya's left in this box, and who calls you to say are you interested? was it first a fostering situation that turned into an adoption? how did that work? >> well, the department of child services got ahold of us, so dcs contacted my wife and i for the potential to interview for the process for baby maya. and our foster journey start ised with we were just foster parents for kaia, and when we had the opportunity to adopt kaia after a year of fostering her, we went through the training to be foster to adopt delaware parents. and through that training, that's what allowed us to be on a list to be an adoptive the parent. rachel: so, kaia, i'm looking at this picture of you with your baby sister. what's it like being a big

sister? >> awesome. [inaudible] >> say it a little louder. a little louder. >> awesome being a big sister. i can hold her and feed her and play with her. it's really fun to be with her. rachel: yeah, i can't think of - >> kaia has wanted a baby sister for a long time. rachel: well, she looks like a great big sister. simply is the best gift ever. let's talk about the birth mom because she's sort of the unsung hero here. she showed such courage and selflessness in dropping the baby off at some point, for someone like you to take care of maya. >> we'll forever be grateful for both kaia's mommy and maya's mommy. both girls are so blessed to have two mommies that love them and only want the best for them. and so we have nothing but just respect and admiration and
