the threats will continue today as the storm moves east. fox meteorologist janice dean. >> janice: these are storm reportses, 24 reports of tornados and large hail and damaging winds across the mississippi river valley, storms in progress right now, tornado watch right now for parts of mississippi toward alabama. we did have a tornado watch that has been lifted, that is why it says 4 a.m. central time so 5 a.m. eastern time, this watch is good until 6:00 a.m. central time, conditions are favorable for more tornados and severe storms. looking at severe weather now, yellow box, severe thunderstorm storms and flash flooding for parts of louisiana and mississippi and alabama. we don't have any active tornado warnings just now, that doesn't mean we will not throughout the

whatever we want. lower court decisions be damned. >> that's exactly what is going on. the biden administration, it's hard to believe this. we have been fighting immigration and illegal immigration and violating federal law since they have been in office. but it's hard to believe that what they are fighting for here is the ability to release criminals into our society who are here illegally, they are fighting to keep those people here as well. >> carley car there is a piece in axios saying the biden administration is eyeing border overhaul as title 42 ends. the administration is scrambling to figure all this out. title 42 ends next month and there will be greater influx of people on the border, if you can believe it, as a result. how do you think the biden administration handles this and what should they do? >> well, look, from day one, they said that they would not deport people. they have done everything they can to end the remain in mexico program and catch and release,

end title 42, end the building of the wall. so it's hard to believe at some point they are actually going to try to stop illegal immigration. what it looks like they are inviting the cartels to bring as many people here as fast as possible and the consequences to them, the negative consequences they are fine with. >> todd: when it comes to are meantime travis county in your state now on pace to record the double the number of fentanyl deaths this year compared to 2021. 118 fentanyl deaths recorded in the first eight months. that's the exact same amount in the entirety of last year. a push in this county to add narcan to bars and lots of other places. i'm all for that in order to save lives. a.g. paxton, why doesn't the biden administration en40s law on the books to keep the

fentanyl out to begin with? >> again, it's shocking they know by not protecting the border there will be more people dying from fentanyl and other drugs. they have been fine with that. and this d.a. and others should speak out about that. because that's ultimately the problem here because border patrol is so busy cooking row jis sticks and processing people they're not able to do the job which they are supposed to do, which they want to do, protect border from the importation of illegal drugs. as the numbers go up, we are dealing with more people dying every day and the biden administration is promoting that. >> carley: yesterday, kevin mccarthy had a press conference after he met with the president, during that meeting he said that he invited the president to go to the border with him. i doubt the president is going to do it. he is going to hold some congressional hearings there do you think that will be helpful? quick answer here about 15 seconds to you. >> absolutely helpful. i hope congress digs into this and exposes more and more of what the biden administration is doing. which is violating federal law
