>> big q. thank you. fox news @ night with trace gallagher is next. i love you america >> thank you will good evening everyone welcome to america's lateness. fox news @ night i'm trace gallagher. >> breaking tonight elon musk with help and end up in end up in the general hazmat tidy laying out in detail what led twitter to suppress the hunt drawer, biting laptop story jus weeks before the twentytwenty election. we will show you the big reveal in moments. at the november jobs report
9:01 pm
better than expected. but even liberal economists say that's a bad sign for inflation. florida governor rhonda santos says he has not backing down from disney but it sure looks like the magic kingdom is hopin there's wiggle room room to cut a deal. we begin with a twitter bombshell in the company's efforts to censor the hunter biden laptop story. >> we've been monitoring twitte all night and here is the latest . elon musk purchasing twitter an essentially becoming a twitter whistleblower. musk gave it substance journalist matt tybee access to twitter's internal documents. matt published a twitter post tonight when he said reveals ho twitter suppressed the hunter biden laptop story in the final weeks before the twentytwenty presidential election. twitter took extraordinary step to suppress the story removing links and a posting warnings that it might be unsafe.
9:02 pm
if they even blocked its transmission via direct message. a tool reserved for extreme cases like child pornography. matt reports that the decision to squash the hunter biden stor was made at the highest levels. with former legal head playing key role. whether often knowledge of previous ceo jack dorsey. it was deemed a hacking story that went against twitter's policy. soon, he reports everyone realized that that was not goin to hold. had he been twitters of a forme vice president of global communications questioned in an e-mail quote can we truthfully claim this is part of the policy ? he also reports in twentytwenty a became routine for twitter to give preference to celebrities and the biden campaign when the wanted tweets taken down. he writes that trump and biden campaign both could flag tweets but quote the system was not balanced. it was based on contacts becaus it twitter was and is overwhelmingly staffed by peopl

of one political orientation. there were more channels in mor ways to complain open to the left. democrats then the right. it tonight musk tweeting to the in for episode two of the twitter files tomorrow. he says that there will be more in this issue is not limited to the far right. he will be giving answers about shadow banding as well. musk says he will hold a live question and answer tomorrow. we will look out for that. >> we will indeed. let's bring in townhall.com managing editor spencer brown and at wma l talk radio host larry o'connor. he first twitter is shutting down the laptop story the odd i that they because you have a democratic congressman he's messaging and saying i think it's a first amendment violation . you have twitter employees agreeing and yet when all is said and done, they totally agree with what the biden campaign tells them to do. >> it's like they had their

agenda. they knew what they wanted to d they did not like the story the wanted to delete it. they wanted to censor it. they tried that she went into this policy regarding hacked materials. illegally obtained materials that's where it really comes in strong. democrat in a biden supporter but he said the first amendment isn't a get at a jail free card for people is a get out of jail free card if you have illegally obtained information. there is still a right for the people to know. we know that from the pentagon papers story. and that there was no discussio at the highest levels of twitte that had anything to do with th first amendment or free speech. that is terrifying. >> edits. i want to get through these because of this was what matt tweeted he said quoting twitter took extraordinary steps to suppress the story removing links and a positive warnings that it may be unsafe. they even blocked its
9:05 pm
transmission via direct message a tool reserved for extreme cases e.g. child pornography. this was a case of using every tool they had to block the story . >> absolutely. they threw the kitchen sink at trying to kill the story until larry's point about a hat did not know exactly what they were doing it was kind of the fix wa in from the start. basically they were freelancing their response to this and how they were reasoning and getting rationale for how to block the story. they used to hacked materials policy even though the situatio did not meet the normal criteria . i think what was really interesting you look at who the lawyer twitter was who is pushing for this and saying at about abundance of caution we can keep doing and that former general counsel for the fbi. it opens up another realm of questions. he really did not know what was happening who was in charge of what they were trying to do? >> he talks about the hacked materials i want to put that
9:06 pm
tweet up on screen he goes on t write quoting they just freelanced at is how one former employee characterized the decision hacking was the excuse but within a few hours pretty much everyone realized it wasn' going to hold. no one had the guts to reverse that and so it stayed. even the vice president of global communications came on and said, can we truthfully claim it's part of the policy? >> exactly. this was collusion. it was collusion by big tech an a media to squash a really big story. a story that polls have shown what it really affected the selection. this metal and the outcome of the twentytwenty presidential election. there is no two ways about it. he has another important thing there was an fec complaint. file about this against a twitter twitter executives unde oath said that they had no contact with the biden campaign
9:07 pm
but here in the e-mails you can see the smoking gun e-mails tha show the biden campaign proactively said here are the tweets we want you to delete them and the twitter executives charged up the hill and that they the censorship bidding. >> and that they were shutting down cailee. >> and his twitter account because it she mentioned to the new york post. they were shutting down everything because they panicked . an amazing subplot of the twitter hunter biden laptop affair was how much was done without the knowledge of ceo jack dorsey and how long it too for the situation to get on after as ex-employee put it eve after dorsey jumped in. they had no choice final answer. to really just kind of double down. >> exactly. they painted themselves into a corner from the first time they labeled this as being unsafe fo consumption are being spread on twitter.
9:08 pm
a lot of the stuff reported wer kind of elements of the story that conservative believed to b true. i think it's instructive about the reporting is potentially republicans majority of the house can look for oversight an investigations and it might not be the ceos it could be the people at the bps illegal of communications and i think it creates a haunted jumping off point. >> you talk about what's instructive here's what's instructive. i have all the news channels in my office and msnbc and cnn never touched it. it did not touch the story at all while these things are coming online. there goes cnn's news cnn thing. >> that's right. >> big q both we appreciate. >> meantime president biden is talking of the november jobs report showing unemployment holding steady but nobody at th administration or the mainstrea media is talking about how the jobs report will impact inflation.
