friends@foxnews.com. rachel: good morning. pete: good morning. will: great to see you both. pete: what are you thinking about? what are you talking about? rachel: let's be honest what we're talking about, what we're thinking about. will: what? rachel: so pete has got a haircut. it has got a name. it is a mullet. pete says it is a mullet. pete: long on the sides. short in the back. will: mullet over. see if we figure out a name. a little bit of fade on the side. mullet on the back. high top fade in the front. pete: i like it. my wife approves of it. so i'm standing by it. will: it is something. i like it too. what i like about it, i would say in the end of the show, fourth hour, call in relief pitcher, you're our guy. pete: i always thought relief pitchers are cool.
3:03 am
will: you're like mitch wild thing in "major league." morgan walling, break out a quick song. pete: if i everybody mentioned in the same conversation as more gahn walling. rachel: done, done. pete: you didn't me at all. you gave me that face. rachel: i gave you the disapproving face. you're such a handsome guy. this haircut i don't think enhances it. pete: we'll heat the viewers weigh in. will: pete is whether or not all in, new boots, new hair, you're all in. you're all in. pete: all in for my vikings, i presume as well for an hour today. rachel: that is today. will: maybe the 8:00 hour. nine. pete: 8:00. we'll see. stick around. you will find out. speaking of all in i don't want to speak for you, will, last night was kind of an odd evening, in that i jumped on
3:04 am
twitter. there was a live q&a going on. i popped into it. there were tens of thousands of people on it. talking about how elon is listening. they said maybe they will come in and talk t was not elon musk's press conference t was a free speech forum, put on by a bunch of people on twitter hoping elon musk will. elon popped in. i'm on my private jet using starlink hope this works. like a total superhero move. he started taking questions. the first time from what i understand that he had taken questions about his release of the twitter files. he said i have 30 minutes. it went on for about two hours. he answered almost every question. rachel: that is very trumpian of him. pete: very candid. here is a portion. twitter spaces. you can host a forum. invite other people. you can listen, raise your hand to try to ask a question. here is a part of what elon musk
3:05 am
said last night. >> seem to be like this more and more group think amongst the media. more and more sort of towing the line amongst digital social media companies and basically just we're traveling the path more and more of suppression of free speech. if twitter is doing one team's bidding before an election, shutting down dissenting voices, on a pivotal election, that is a very definition of election interference. this may sound bizarre, president biden seems kind of fun to be honest. twitter was acting like an arm of the democratic national committee t was absurd. i think there will be more smoking guns. the next question is what happened after the election? will: was, as you said, pete a feature within twitter called
3:06 am
twitter spaces, three, four, hosts can create a essentially like a digital hangout. everyone can come in. it is not unlike a radio show. it is audio only. and at one point last night there were about 101,000 people concurrently in this space listening to elon musk. he did for two hours take questions on everything from the future of twitter. what features he might ultimately implement. the future of free speech. i think he addressed why he has now suspended kanye west from twitter. and i did get a chance last night. rachel and i were very fortunate that pete texted us, hey you guys got to text this out. this is going on. i wasn't on twitter. i was watching college football. pete: you were. will: that was interesting. i popped over. at time 95,000 people there. i will jump in. we texted. you have to jump in.
3:07 am
will: i jumped in. yesterday on "fox & friends" we asked questions where does this go? hunter biden is the start, where does it go. i actually got a chance to jump in there and ask elon that question? >> this is will cain from fox news. what subjects outside of hunter biden were subject to the most government-induced censorship? >> i've been working on twitter to be healthy, fixing the engine of engineering. i've not been pouring over the twitter files personally. that is sort of been matt taibbi doing that. bari weiss is doing well. anything i say would be somewhat guesswork really but you know, so i don't know. obviously a lot of questions around jan 6. there is questions around covid. there is a lot of questions. but i think one thing that we just get you know, bring daylight to all of these things and so anything that twitter has done, sometimes i think, a lot
3:08 am
of times twitter done things that were, that wasn't malicious, it was just foolish. will: you heard there. i don't think, i don't think it is gratuitous. january 6th, covid. we know we have suspicions but what we need is the daylight he has begun to provide on hunter biden around those subjects. rachel: very interesting. love that you could come on. i felt like you were representing the show. pete: that is how i felt. rachael ray the producer is on the text. you boys should ask question. i hadn't thought about it. i was just listening. i don't have a check mark. will, you're the only one. you did a great job. exactly the right question. rachel: it was a great question. here is what is interesting to me, he did not shy away from the topic of election interference. i don't know if i'm a political background as a election spouse. i know the family sacrifice that goes into running and to see the democrat party in conjunction with big tech put their hand on the scale to that level. no matter how bad the country is
3:09 am
going, is ready for a new, you know, new ideas, new way of looking at things, no matter how food the candidate, if you were running pete, i gave you $10 million, and he is your open.and big tech is on his side, that's priceless. it doesn't matter how good of a candidate, doesn't matter how good you work, doesn't matter how good your ideas, if big tech tunes you down, turns him up, he will win. that is moving across the line. talking about red wave. it is remarkable any republicans win in this environment. pete: elon musk acknowledged that. so much he talked about. the only way to bring credibility back to twitter is open the books completely. matt taibbi, bari weiss, has full access to all twitter files wherever you she wants to go, whatever she wants to reconcile what happened in the past.
3:10 am
twitter's credibility is so damaged. i want free speech the place for it. looks likes democrats benefited in the past. let's find out. will: matt taibbi, bari weiss journalists from the left who showed integrity past couple years, not just simply partisan hacks. both exist out on the mainstream media and substacks. we need to see what they end up publishing from this. i find this fascinating, checking this last night, how the partisan hackery responded. one two ways, dismiss hal, what happened last night was a right-wing hangout fest. it was not listening to the people. he took a question from tommy vitor used to work for barack obama t was antagonistic question, it was not a dumb question. took a question from the left. it was that or absolutely ignoring it. that is what we've seen since friday since the twitter files.
3:11 am
rachel: third thing, they said it was a dud. how they justify this. no, you can't even call it a dud if you devote zero minutes to it. cbs, abc, msnbc, as well, zero minutes to this whole story. yeah -- pete: cnn we see you. will: some on social media said it is a dud. you got to devote a minute to calling it a dud. they pretented it didn't happen. >> the censorship continues. more forces. it is not just big tech. the media covering for it. the lack of curiosity. don't they want more information? i mean shocking. pete: charlie kirk said this last night. elon musk did not buy a company. he bought a democratic super pax. those are charlie kirk's words not mind. will: he didn't buy a social media company, he bought a crime scene. both are correct. rachel: both are true. both are true.
3:12 am
pete: we'll play a little more sound from elon musk last night. listen. or not? we don't have it. not cued. we have more. rachel: we'll pull it up later on in the show. we'll continue this story. will: i love to say this elon was going on his private jet going from somewhere to somewhere. i think he is highly plugged into digital media. if he turns on linear cable television as well, 3 hours 50 minutes left in this program. i have still some remaining questions which i tweeted @elon musk last night. i would like to know what the standard is free speech going forward? when will someone shadow-banned on twitter? i think that is still a question remains unanswered. ii want to hear what other topis in the past were censored. how big was this outside of twitter? was the government messing around with youtube, facebook, google. rachel: of course they were. will: i would love to hear a guy who made billions from this industry with insider knowledge. there are more questions.
