he did on twitter and the other issue is, and another point elon musk has said that selected portions of twitter's files were provided to matt tiebe. so i just don't know if the fbi stuff is somewhere there. i'm sure it exists. but it was good to hear on the twitter spaces last night elon musk basically come out and say that what happened when twitter weighed in on one side of politics before the election, that is election interference and he also said that twitter was behaving as an arm of the dnc, the democratic national committee. so it was sort of -- i guess we knew that but it was good to hear the head of twitter actuallied a mitt that. actuallied a -- actually admit that. rachel: your instingtsz are always right. i will follow your reporting.

6:11 am
basically make twitter the place where truth happens, to create a competition for the truth so that at least one entity in the whole media landscape is not as he says engaging in group think. he wants twitter to be the number one competitor for truth because it's good business. he says therefore, the audience will come to twitter and then he says that will force the rest of the media and social media also to engage in the truth to compete. i think that's a brilliant idea. because the truth has really been lost and the reason for that is because we now have controlled speech, whether we like it or not, in this country there is not free speech when it comes to the media. if you said anything dissenting from the current administration, you were kicked off social media. >> miranda, you've been vindicated many times reporting on things that were called

vindication is nice but results are better. let's say elon musk does what he says he's going to do at twitter. let's say it all happens. can we change the media landscape? because the media is not reporting on this, the rest of the media. >> yeah. washington post did actually do a story but it's so full of caveats and protections for joe biden. it's very consis convoluted and ridiculous. i think, look, if elon musk -- obviously he's not the messiah, he's got his own businesses and all sorts of exposure to the government. he can't really annoy them too much. but if he's genuine about wanting to turn twitter into a place where truth thrives and certainly so far, so good, up to limits which i would understand he has. i think what that he will make an enormous difference. because he's right. if people start flocking to twitter because it's the only
6:14 am
media platform it can trust, that is going to force the rest of the media to tell the truth and as far as john paul mcisaac goes, he's a hero and a his book, american injustice, is a fantastic read. >> i do want to ask you really quickly, john paul mcisaac said something fascinating. is there a smoking gun when it comes to governmental connections, to the fbi? he said he would doubt that actually exists in the twitter files because he would anticipate that there would be fface-to-face meetings. he talked about zuckerberg saying they met with facebook, the fbi on a weekly basis. i hear you holding out some hope there is a digital trail about the government's direct influence. do you think that could exist? >> i can't imagine that it doesn't particularly on october 14, 2020 when they censored our story. we know that the head of site integrity who was meeting with the fbi every week, he has given
6:15 am
a sworn affidavit saying that the fbi warned him that in october there would be this hack and leak operation by state actors, aka russians and they -- the fbi mentioned hunter biden. so you know, the fbi was spying on rudy giuliani. they knew what john paul mcisaac had told him. they saw my text messages so they knew when the new york post was going to publish. they prebunked it because they knew. that's my theory. >> that's the real scandal here, the prebunking from the fbi who knew the truth and told a different story anyway to benefit the political. rachel: and changed an election. rigged an election that has had massive consequences. >> for the second time. for the second time running. yeah. rachel: that's exactly right. >> miranda, on a morning like this on the night after after two days of news like this, we're so happy to have you to comment on this breaking news. thank you. rachel: thank you, miranda. >> thanks so much, guys. rachel: the great miranda
