first up tonight, police in idaho insisting that the trail had not gone cold as they investigate the murders of four college students. the crime scene is literally becoming freezing. they believe it may have been the stalker reference of one of the victims made to friends and family. police

writing in part. two males were seen inside the local business. one male appeared to follow kayleigh and as she exited the male turned away and did not appear he made any contact with her. this is believed to be an isolated incident and police do not think the two males were involved in the murders. the new york police department now releasing this surveillance video hoping to find two armed robbers wanted for stealing more than $10,000 in cash from a smoke shop in queens. the nypd says one of the men fired a bullet into the floor during the heist and nobody was injured. the same could not be said for this story. a 47-year-old man was hit in the head with a baseball bat in manhattan for what appears to be minding his own business. he sustained a laceration to his head and bruising but said to be in stable condition. the attacker had not been caught.

police in texas took custody in a reckless driver that crashed into a two car. the driver turned out to be a dog. the canine was sat in the vehicle and somehow he got the car into motion. a fedex driver is charged with the abduction and murder of a 7-year-old texas girl who went missing last wednesday. the wise county sheriff says the 31-year-old tanner horner conconfessed of killing the li girl. here is laura engel. >> it is one of the toughest investigations i have been involved in because it is a child. any time there is a child that dies just hits you in your heart. >> the devastating end to a search of the 7-year-old. there are so many questions as to a motive after a contracted fedex

delivery driver according to police did not know the little girl or family confessed to the crime. >> we really can't get into the content of the confession but i will say that we have a con if he thinks. >> the 31-year-old tanner horner had been arrested on kidnapping and murder charges following his confession and telling investigators where to find her body last friday. police say there is digital and forensic evidence showing that the 7-year-old had stepped off the school bus in paradise, texas, after 4:00 p.m. on wednesday. two and a half hours later, her family called 911 to report her missing. >> they are devastated and they angry because of what happened. precious child taken from their lives. >> tanner appeared to have no record and he's not on the sex of offender register. horner is
