"the faulkner focus" is up next. here is harris. >> harris: fox news alert. georgia runoff election is here. hopefully very soon right after the polls close. we're hoping to find out who will grab the final senate seat and shape the upper chamber for at least the next two years. i'm harris faulkner in "the faulkner focus." warnock and walker spent four weeks of runoff campaigning getting down and dirty. it got pretty nasty. all the ads. if you've been near the peach state you know what i'm talking

about. democrats outraged over new state voting laws. really over nothing. we're seeing record early voting turnout coming into this election day for the runoff. don't get their complaint. don't really understand if it's even real. heavy hitters from both political parties crossing the state for their respective candidates. not president biden, but pretty much everybody else like former president obama. not president biden. and as we reported earlier, today he is in arizona. he hasn't been in georgia to campaign with senator warnock at all. the white house says it's no big deal. >> we've said many times before at the podium the president will do anything that he can do for senator warnock to be helpful to him. he has done a high volume of fundraising, attended several political events including phone banks and unions and with unions and much more.

>> harris: republicans it's good to win a seat. you get closer. but democrats at the end of the day are still going to have at least one seat majority. no matter what the outcome of the runoff. a win by raphael warnock would give the democrats a little of breathing room. they wouldn't need kamala harris to break the tie. it will be easier for democrats to push through their agenda. manchin and sinema. if walker wins republicans would keep joint control of senate committees and democrats would still need to rely on vice president kamala harris to break that tie vote. fox business's connell mcshane is live in norcross, georgia. connell. >> you know, both sides will tell you that the republican herschel walker needs a big in-person turnout with a chance

to win the race today. this is in gwinnett county. we had folks lined up and then a lull. last hour it started to pick up a little bit once again as the weather improved slightly. the heavy rain started to taper off. as we talked to voters on their way out of the gymnasium no matter who they voted for, it was important for them to be here today to do it in person. >> i think it's very important. i encourage everybody to take this initiative every single time because i just don't ever want to feel like i didn't have a chance to express my point of view. >> they said that republicans like to vote in person. that's true. i just don't trust the little polling sites where you drop your ballot in and they go and retrieve them. i'm scared of that. >> both of the candidates have election day events today.

looking at herschel walker meeting and greeting in cobb county. you don't always see that. senator warnock in gwinnett county. we expect to see him at a location where we're set up after spending the entire day yesterday in the city of atlanta talking to young voters. he was adamant at one of the events we attended saying herschel walker could still win. there was a path for walker to beat him in the race. warnock said his biggest fear people would see stories about how he was building momentum and his supporters wouldn't show up today at the polls. so one final observation from here in gwinnett county, we have seen a number of people at this location showing up and they are told when they get here they are in the wrong place. what happens is in the busy early voting period you talked about you can vote anywhere in your county. today on election day itself you have to show up in your particular precincts which is creating an issue for some voters.

>> harris: at the end of the day it will come down as being curious enough as voters to know what to do on election day. democrats make hay of situations like this saying it's broken, it doesn't work. unless they win. and then what is it? was it really republicans messing with voting? no, never was. connell, good to see you. rick scott, chairman of the national republican senatorial committee is looking at the georgia race for all the reasons i mentioned because if republicans can take it, they will maintain that struggle or evenness if you will inside the committees in the senate. that's important. he will go in "focus" minutes from now. watch for that. the white house is apparently doing its very best to downplay elon musk's twitter files ripping the new twitter ceo and his release of internal communications that show platform executives were giving democrats and biden campaign

preferential treatment. now there are receipts. >> we see this as an interesting or a coincidence, if i may, that he would so haphazardly push this distraction, that is a -- full of old news, if you think about it. and at the same time twitter is facing very real and very serious questions about the rising volume of anger, hate, and anti-semitism on their platform. and how they are letting it happen. >> harris: "new york post" pointing the finger at the intelligence community for their letter about the hunter biden laptop story. a couple of opinion headlines here. the f.b.i.'s fake warnings about our hunter story were clearly a cover-up to biden. officials who claimed hunter biden's laptop was russian disinformation are far more blame worthy than twitter

censors. jason, in watching this happen and unfold and learning more and more and seeing kyle rittenhouse come out with a challenge for elon musk, can you look into what they did for me and show them those files? this is picking up speed. what do you think about the white house and what it is doing? >> for the white house spokesperson to suggest that it was merely a coincidence, remember, james baker was the general counsel for the federal bureau of investigation and then he goes over and starts working for twitter. you are telling me he doesn't have any communication with the department of justice along the way? that he wasn't doing something with biden? these types of things in revelations, hats off to elon musk. he did exactly what he said. used his own money, exposing the

truth. the democrats and white house can't stand it and tried to dismiss it. the 51 intel people many who still have security clearances for them to try to sway the election by saying it is just russians but really it was them using russian-type tactics to sway an election away from trump towards biden. that's what is so shameful. those people ought to be called up to congress and have every single one of those security clearances revoked. >> harris: president biden deflecting more than once on the family business during his 2020 campaign. we all watched this happen in realtime. now it has a little more texture and meaning. the "wall street journal" is writing this. there is no -- there is so much recent news about all the people who embraced a political falsehood in 2020 that sometimes it is hard to remember the deceptive statements by the person at the center of the story. here is an example where biden denied hunter made any money in

mexico. we have louie fried, the former f.b.i. director in the clinton administration sending a thank you note to hunter biden in an email saying i've deposited $1 hundred thousand into a trust account for relatives of joe biden. so this is such a lie that they continue to spiel out there. i want to see louiefree in front of the country testifying and explaining why $1 hundred thousand went into joe biden's relatives' account as a thank you for them opening up the doors at the department of justice to give them business out of romania. explain that to us. somebody has to ask the white house about this. it still hasn't happened. >> harris: it's interesting. i'm often reminded because you know so much about the process that you were the chairman of the oversight committee. it is from that point of view you must be looking at this. americans need to know the answers to this. this is about is a president free to make decisions on our

all of those medals for the 100 police officers who will get it. they will show up in four locations we're told. let's move back now to georgia and what is happening there. joining "focus" now the chair of senate republicans campaign arm senator rick scott of florida. first of all, before we went to the ceremony we were hearing from senator kennedy really making a push for herschel walker. he feels like he has a good chance. i just want to get your top line thoughts on the actual runoff today. >> i want to thank capitol police and kept us safe. law enforcement across the country care about our safety every day. with regard to herschel walker i am confident he will win. the reason why is people want a senator that will represent georgia. his opponent warnock doesn't represent georgia. here is the key. the key is you. if you are in georgia, if you know somebody in georgia, you have to do everything you can to make sure you go vote or you call that person in georgia and

say this is important. we have got to make sure herschel wins. herschel will be a great senator. he has run a business and knows what it is like to be an employee and an owner and knows what it is like to have to worry about a paycheck. he has done those things. he works his butt off all the time and the importance of representing his state. warnock represents new york. so the whole key is get out to vote. the benefit of a 50/50 senate rather than 51 democrats, 49 republicans. all of our committees, if it's 50/50 we'll have the same number republicans and democrats which means if you want any legislation passed or nominee to come out of a committee you have to get one member of the republican party to vote for them. if not it doesn't come out of committee. it makes a big difference whether it's 50/50 or 51-49. this race is very important if we want to block bad bills, want to block wasteful spending, want to block bad nominees.

herschel has to win today. get out and vote and make sure you know -- everybody you know that can vote today in georgia get them to go out and vote for herschel walker. >> harris: you make exactly a fine point of what i've been saying for weeks now since the early voting started and even back in the mid-term elections. where is it true what democrats were saying, which really they were trying to victimize voters, were saying about the unfair election laws in georgia? where is that playing out to be true with the record numbers of people who voted just to get to this day? >> it is just lies by democrats. they can't talk about inflation. they caused it. or crime because they caused high crime and the woke military. they want to distract the voters. voters have to focus on what's important to them. what should be important to most americans is we have to get this inflation down. republicans can do that. we have to balance the budget.

republicans will do that. republicans are focused on crime and strong military. republicans can do that. the democrats want to distract the voters, republicans want to accomplish something. we have to be clear what we'll do and make sure it happens. >> harris: the real damage that's done by not being honest with people that they can get to the polls and they can do what they need to do early vote or today is that some of them will listen and sit down and that matters to both political parties because we should want and need an engaged electorate. we have one. they are not really listening to all the bad messaging. while you were talking. i want to talk about this. a lot of money poured into the mid-term elections. you told us the stakes are today. why are democrats willing to spend -- almost three times as much as republicans for something that they are the

january 6th will always seem like yesterday to me. i can remember sitting on the floor of the senate that day when my detail suddenly came up and said senator, we have to get you out of here. you are in danger. and he grabbed me by the jacket as we ran out of the chamber. at one point i was within 30 feet of the rioters before my brave detail pulled me away to safety. their quick thinking, valor, ability to stay calm in the face of violence undoubtedly saved lives that day. and again, our thanks will forever remain immeasurable. so, too, will our gratitude towards everyone who stepped up that day from the national guard to the capitol staff who restored these halls after the violence. as we observe this solemn

capitol, which let us recall was built during the civil war. at the time, the iron and steel used for the construction was said to be needed for the war effort but president lincoln said to halt the work on the dome would be -- wouldn't be right. and he said no. and so in face of brutal violence at the time, the work went on. the work went on because lincoln knew that we needed a national symbol, a beacon of patriotism, determination, and resilience. isn't it magnificent? may we be worthy to work under it. [applause] more than a century and a half later, these high ideals were once again on display right here

on this sacred ground beneath the dome. on january 6th we all witnessed the gleeful desecration of our temple of democracy in a violent insurrection against our republic. our congressional community knows profound terror of that day firsthand. members of congress fled for their lives. staff barricaded behind office doors. support staff who were on this capitol hid under furniture at the sound of blood curdling screams and the smell of gas and smoke remain raw. that day the capitol police, metr metro poll -- may i thank the national guard for continuing that protection ending the day and continuing that protection. with great patriotism -- [applause]

again, harkening back to lincoln, with great patriotism, determination and resilience, they answered the call to serve putting their lives on the line to protect the capitol, the congress, and the constitution. your valor on that dark day is the stuff of legend, and like the dome, they fought to defend a source of strength and hope and we thank you for that. united in grief and gratitude today we award them the congressional gold medal forever etching their herroism into our history. in doing so we thank those heroes for their service and sacrifice, especially more than

today's trip out west was planed the way it was. >> why go to a border state and not visit the border? >> president biden: more important thing going on. they'll invest billions of dollars in a new enterprise. >> today is more of a celebration of an administration policy that appears to be working well. going to a plant that makes micro chips in the u.s. and invest $40 billion in its arizona operation. that is something that could have a huge long-lasting impact, since we've seen how finicky supply chains can be. with that said regarding the president's comment the national border patrol president is tweeting visiting an ice cream shop very important. visiting our border where deaths and fentanyl smuggling with thousands dying as a result not important. there are other critics in congress who believe the president could squeeze in a trip a little further south. >> when you're done visiting the
