republican or democrat but an issue that affects all americans. >> let's work together to the rays all the issues. secure the border and give them the tools they need to do their job. >> this comes on the heels of president biden's controversial comments on the issue saying there are more important issues. that is why he visited arizona without making a stop at the border. this year, 14 cbe agents committed suicide with massive influx of migrants into the u.s. from the southern border. yesterday morning a 38-year-old agent was killed after crashing his atv during a h high-speed chase during the board. releasing the statement on the incident, "the death of an agent who died while securing the nation's border is a tremendous loss for the organization and our nation. our prayers are with his family and coworkers during this difficult time." tthe biden administration that blocks the title 42 protocols

and allows the government to rule the migrants because of health concerns. if title 42 is lifted commencement asked 4200 migrants could cross the southern border every day, todd and carley. >> carley: brings gnomic brooke singman, live, the i.c.e. director ron pattillo. i want to ask about title 42 but the death of this border patrol agent, 38 years old, father of two and he died just hours after the president said there are more important issues in the southern border. he died defending our border. that puts the president's comments in a different light. >> i agree. my condolences to the agents family. his death is a tragic reminder of the wrist the agents take each and every day. what i know about our organization, that organization is the families will come together and support that family and the greek family will never forget what this agent did for a spear of the border is in a real

bad situation and it pulls to the agents, the men and women of cbp and their families. they are the ones on the front lines trying to protect us. when this chaos continues, it affects all of them. >> todd: we don't understand the risk these border agents take but maybe he would know if he didn't get ice cream. let's get to title 42, why the sudden media realizing there was a border crisis? are they worried about the republicans taking over the house and what that is going to mean in the combination of the two? what do you think? >> it very much falls into the category of too little, too late. they prefer an open border, chaos versus control and how they got caught with it, right? they know full title 42 is making a difference. the border has never been in a situation that it's been and now but the title 42 is helping our agents do their work more efficiently. they still got to work on the

policy and they still have to augment the facilities that are down there. they need to give the agents the tools to help secure that border. they refused to do that and so now going back on title 42 thing, it will add additional help but a lot more needs to be done. this administration has been derelict in calling this a crisis, let alone operational and giving the agents the tools they need. >> carley: without question there are 7,000 border crossers everyday. title 42 is lifted, they estimate is it will triple up to 18,000 per day. you can only imagine what that will look like. there was so much news coming down the pipeline when it comes to the border yesterday. there was this bipartisan press conference about the record number of border patrol agent suicide. henry cuellar was a part of it and so was tony gonzalez. congressman gonzalez said it is the job at the federal government, the job of congress

to fix this issue but in order to do that, you have to figure out why this is happening. what do you think about this? why 14 border agents have committed suicide this year? >> they are under a tremendous amount of stress. this is a stressful job. their families face the stress. when they leave to go to the shift in the evening, morning or overnight, they may not come back. you see the worst things imaginable. people dying in the desert, rescuing people in dire straits as they are crossing the border. so the job is very stressful. it affects them inside of the context of their job, and it also affects them at home. so much more must be done. december 15th, we will be in del rio and we will do a conference there was some help from the first health organization, stronger families, the 100 club of san antonio

command the border patrol agency family network. we will rally around the agents give them tools and talk through this issue with them. so hopefully, there is a bit of help and i will encourage my colleagues in the border patrol in the first responders to reach out to first help because there is resources out there to help you and your family get through these tough times. >> todd: wrong, along those lines there is another layer and brandon judd, it is about admitting that you need mental health. his comments, i think are absolutely shocking in the year 2022. take a listen. >> with a border patrol agent or cbp officer comes right now and says they have a mental health issue and seen a doctor, they will immediately have their law enforcement authority revoked. >> todd: ron, how is that possible coming out of this white house that bids itself as the most aggressive white house ever? you would think mental health concerns, specifically with

regard to the border patrol would be front and center but when you hear what brandon judd has to say it is not and that is sickening. what say you a question mark >> we must do more than what is available. it is never enough. families are important here. reaching out to those families, giving those families resources. if agents are reluctant to ask for help and they feel like within the context of the job they can reach out other places. they can go to their private doctor. they need to reach out. they need to go to their friends and their friends need to help each other so they find the help where needed. speed to something should be bipartisan and increased suicide rate among all enforcement is one of them. ron vitiello, thank you so much for joining us. >> thank you. >> carley: absolutely. turning to the biden administration working to broker a deal with tiktok, an effort to maintain u.s. ownership over the social media platform. but national security threats are recorded really delayed and

threw a wrench in the chinese government influence over tiktok operation as an agreement reportedly expected by the end of the year. texas governor greg abbott with all state agencies to ban the app on government issued devices sagging, "tiktok harvests massive amounts of data with user devices when, where, how they conduct internet connectivity and trove of sensitive information to the chinese government. "the attorney general sounding the alarm with tiktok for misleading users over the chinese government while exposing mature content to minors. >> todd: congressman under investigation by the house ethics committee. a health complaint against the squad member accusing her of breaking house rules by accepting free tickets to the met gala luck to mike last year. it cost at least $30,000. at the time, she defended the

appearance as part of her responsibilities in overseeing the city's cultural institutions is a new york congresswoman health ethics committee. they didn't say what they were looking into but make sure that the announcement of the probe does not itself indicate in violation it has occurred or reflect judgment on behalf of the committee. so, it is unclear if this is related to the met gala tickets. but think the bigger picture with regard to the met gala, if you hold yourself out there, carley and i'm not saying you. you better make sure that your own houses in order. at least those are the old rules. and there is no shame in aoc the leaders of the hypocrisy no shame movement. tax the rich. >> carley: i love the dress. tax the rich dress at the met gala where millionaires and billionaires that she was trying to rub elbows with pure deliverance, we don't know why

the house ethics investigation is coming down. it is hard to say what i learned that quickly this morning. congressional ethics, prepared to take up any complaint for any citizens and potentially referred to the committee, the ethics committee to decide to take up the matter or dismiss it. in this case the panel decided to extend the matter. not great for aoc when you find out you are under investigation for possible ethics violation. >> todd: i love how she holds herself there as the woman of the people and a question whether a major, big large corporation paid for that 30k ticket. >> carley: a lot of questions, twitter ceo elon musk reveals to jack dorsey the twitter files he's been releasing were concealed from top management. he is suggesting the files were completely erased. the two responding to each other on twitter with former ceo dorsey questioning why all the twitter files are released at once to which musk rebuild, "the

most important data was hidden from dorsey too and some may have been deleted, but everything be fined will be released." that news comes a day after musk fired twitter general counsel james baker for his possible role in suppressing information. one of the things we learned from the original twitter files is that jack dorsey really kept in the dark about a lot of these decisions. he was kind of out to lunch before he stepped down from the company and handed over to elon musk. jack dorsey's perspective, he really wants all of this information to be released because he was like what was going on behind my back when i was the ceo of the company i founded? >> todd: musk and dorsey were bugs and would have talk this out in public. >> carley: they still seem friendly. >> todd: to be think this little issue would be resolved before twitter but who knows. before it was put out on twitter.

it really looks like really running the assignment. dorsey let twitter get away from him even though he was the ceo. you have to remember if you are the top form, you can't let your company get away from you. and it begs the question, why are we bringing guys like james baker and the first place? let me tell you something a little bit about big law. there are dozens if not hundreds if not thousands of big law partners who take a really good salary who will go work at twitter to make a greater salary with stock options. yet, you take a guy clearly compromised in a type of the investigation would have shown you that this guide was compromised. >> carley: it is so crazy this guy was involved in so many different stories, first of all the trump russia collusion to my collusion and then goes over to twitter and pushing to have hunter biden laptop story suppressed. and then it turns out this week he was looking at the documents that elon musk wanted to release

and sort of holding them back. so censorship on top of censorship. and keep in mind the hunter laptop story was not about the drugs were the positive attitudes but about president biden when he was vice president pressuring ukrainian officials to fire the prosecutor that was looking into the company that hunter biden set on the board of the appearance of it is clear no matter how you solicited that somebody whether in the fbi or social media or a combination of both didn't want people to read that story and they put their thumb on the scale in a big way. >> todd: dorsey is trying to absolve himself from censoring the story and he may not have direct but he was abolished. there are so much you can do. in the meantime senator tom cotton being praised for calling out the woke ceo of kroger for seeking the g.o.p.'s help against democrat regulation even after the grocery chain reportedly fired conservative employees.

speak with the silence conservatives and voters, they probably shouldn't, and asked republican senators to carry the water for them whenever the democratic friends want to regulate them. i'm sorry this happened to you, best of luck. >> todd: taking to twitter to support that message g.o.p. after tweeting, let's go, tom cotton. and also weighing in, "go woke, go broke." the ceo rodney mcmullen was accused of silencing his christian employees and refused to wear a gay pride symbol. he was more from senator cotton and why so important for republicans to hold woke ceos accountable. speak with a large public corporations have in fact become an arm of the democratic party. in this case kroger didn't just refusing to wear what they perceived as a gay pride symbol and being sued by the trump equal opportunity commission and settling it.

♪ ♪ >> todd: police arresting the guy smashing a person in the head with a baseball bat on a new york city sidewalk. officials a verbal argument between the victim and suspect started the brutal attack. watch, you can see him pull a bat out of his pants before swinging at that person's head. that victim was taken to the hospital but miraculously is in stable condition. he has been charged with attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon. the police arrested him at his home in carlo a few blocks where the incident happened. a terrifying confrontation caught on camera showing a suspect stealing a car while shooting its own on the north side of the city. the police at the cars owner returned to his vehicle while the robbery was in progress. the suspect pulls out a gun and fired at him before driving off. local officials say the car has since been recovered but not released any information on the victim's condition. the police are asking for the

do you think it is necessary? >> for the safety of his customers and his employees, yeah, i do think it is necessary. you have to look at what is going on right now in the united states. it is not just philadelphia, but it is happening also in philadelphia but throughout the united states. crime is rampant. just the statistics itself sticks out. in philadelphia loan, statistics, 62% of all carjackings, not one or two but carjacking's in philadelphia happen at the gas pump. >> carley: yeah, you are right more statistics like that 152% increase in burglary and 44% and 53% retail theft. so i would say that is necessary. one thing that may differ from what you guys do and a lot of other security guards that people are used to seeing a lot

of unarmed security guards in new york city protecting businesses, but they were told not to intervene if you see a crime. you are intervening. >> we have to because we have to protect our client and our clients assets. so we should really be thinking because what he's doing is saying, hey, not just protecting my business but also making it safer my customers. i want my customers to have to pull up at the gas tank and worry about being shot, stabbed, robbed or hurt. and the other issue is drug dealers. and drug dealers took over these incidents. now he doesn't have that issue anymore. >> carley: so you haven't had to intervene in any crime since you have been there? >> the little miss half as

someone is drunk and disorderly but other than that no. >> carley: you have an a or 15 so i would say that is key here. tell us about the agency. are you former police officers? >> not everyone, we are former police officers, military, people who have over 25 years training. we have an assortment of people but they all have one type of training. also, by being a part of my company, they are taught the low. >> carley: this gas owner, his name is neil patel but he's doing something necessarily. it costs money to hire you and your other agents while paying taxes for police officers to keep his business secure, but that is not working. the number one job of the government, whatever level, federal, state, local is to keep their citizens safe. if you are hiring an outside agency, that is a clear

indicator that government is failing its people. are you noticing an increase in other businesses reaching out to you for help? >> since this incident, yes, a lot of gas stations have reached out to me. i had an actual manager, female at wawa who says, i'm really going to talk to my boss and see if we can have you and your agency at least two people stand at each wall wall. she said we need it anyway because the public would love it. we need to feel safe. we wouldn't have to worry about incidents like just happened a few months ago where a guy walked in and shot and killed everybody. >> carley: my gosh -- >> people coming and grabbing stuff, stealing it and running out. >> carley: absolutely. >> he told me security just watched people grab stuff, steal

and walk out the door. >> carley: that is the experience i have a new york city when i go into a drugstore. there are security guards there but they don't do anything because they are unarmed. you are not. really quickly before i let you go, there is a question why this is happening. there is this effort to impeach d.a. larry krasner. if that happens, do you think that it will get safer? >> you know what, let's be clear about something, d.a. larry krasner is definitely a big part of it because when we elected him, we elected him to be a prosecutor. he failed us. but he has not been the police commissioner that she should be. she's been missing in action. she's really been missing in action. since she's been in office, a direct plan set forth by the philadelphia police department to stop the flow of crime.

because as a prosecutor, that is a very scary concept, and i think george gascon needs to step up and described to the citizens of l.a. and the prosecutors what exactly this policy means. it is open for interpretation, but we see and have seen that l.a., the influence extends to other parts of the states. and the other thing that we have seen is without a doubt the soft on crime policies are creating a vacuum. the criminals are exploiting that vacuum. we have seen it unfold with our retail stores, retail theft. i'm afraid this since message as an invitation to do crime in l.a. and you will get preferential treatment. >> todd: to be clear, we are talking about illegal immigrants who have committed crimes. we are not just talking about immigration, obviously, where you are in central valley you cannot survive without migrants

criminals are afraid of accountability. regardless of your immigration status. it doesn't matter. what i would like his office to explain, answer me this. do robbers that use a gun, is there more punishment than robbers that don't use a gun? what about the victims of crime? immigrant victims of crime? are they not worthy of the protection that the oath that he has taken affords them? it a slippery slope when you give preferential treatment and decisions to file. now the flip side of that is the law in california, every office across the street, certainly we consider immigration consequences at the time of making a plea. if we can find a resolution that satisfies our interest, that satisfies the victim's interests and make them whole analyst burnham son consequence going forward, we are fine with that. this is a different take on it. this is at the piling stage. and it sounds like he wants the

prosecutors to be defense attorneys as well. >> todd: he does and it doesn't have to be this way, you get out these works. the inmates talking about inmates and republican county. >> . [indistinct] >> todd: that is the way it supposed to be and always has been. but you go to a state like illinois and set to eliminate cash bail next year. obviously looking how new york city and new york state doing we've got to follow the mess there. how can illinois democrats do that? >> you know him if there is one thing that california has been able to teach the rest of the nation, and that is this zero cash bail and this push for the incarceration was a social

experiment, born on the back of law-abiding citizens and ended in abject failure. when a policy is so extreme in california that the voters resend it and return to cash bail system, the rest of the nation should take notice of that. we have seen time and time again tragic situations of the murder in sacramento, the sacramento shooting of the individual who was an early release. now, i understand zero cash bail an early release are not necessarily the same thing, but i will tell you there are two sides to the same coin. we have seen that here in the county with inmates released for murder and you and i have talked about dealers arrested and released. >> todd: we have talked about that in illinois democrats looking up at and say give us that in the land of wicked. tim ward, great insight today. >> thank you for having me. keep up the good work. >> todd: the baby formula shortage to continue into the

i was actually down last week and was not able to find it anywhere. i went to multiple stores. i contacted family, friends out of town. you know, i did the best that i could trying to find something. i posted a few different facebook groups looking for formula. fortunately, somebody did reach out to me. i was able to get it, but it came down to the line. it came down to half a can of formula with twins and that doesn't last long. >> carley: no commit doesn't. i think a lot of people thought because this story, this was better. you say you are still going through it. is there any period of time throughout this year where it was easy to find formula for you? >> no. my babies were born premature, so they were on a specific formula for the first few months of their lives.

now, they are on a hypoallergenic formula. unfortunately, that is one of the hardest ones to find right now. skye has a heart issue called asd and g.i. issue. unfortunately, she can't switch to table food. and so, she has to have it. it is vital. >> carley: amber, i wanted to ask you because i was reading that that is one of the hardest formulas to find. it is for babies that have allergies. so if you have an allergy, there is really no other option and that is the one your baby is on? >> absolutely, yes, ma'am, both of them. both twins. >> carley: my goodness. now you have enfamil, one of the big makers of baby formula, and they say the shortage could last until spring. when he heard something like that, what goes through your head? >> i'm fortunate. my babies are eight months old

so they should be able to transition to table food shortly. but it's not just about me and my twins. at this about all the babies in america going without, not being fed and not being a priority to anybody. but what is really disheartening is the fact i have had to fight to feed my children for eight months now. their entire lives. >> carley: their entire lives. the biden administration created operation fly formula and the last shipment of operation that brings formula from other countries. and that last shipment was in september. that does not help you. has the biden administration forgot about this? >> i don't think they have remembered that since the very beginning. like i said, it is not a priority to them. and i don't see how the children, our future is not something they can prioritize. >> carley: amber, best of luck to you. we know you are a good mom. we will check in with you to see
