mostly single adults turning themselves in because they are from countries that for the most part are not subject to title 42, and they know they are likely going to be released into the u.s. after they give themselves up. that del rio sector seeing more than 2,000 the illegal crossings in the last 24 hours. second video, same place yesterday, eagle pass but a much bigger group. this one, a single massive group of 650 migrants that crossed illegally in eagle pass all at the exact same time. on the other side of town, there was another group of 350. our team saw over 1,000 people walk into eagle pass yesterday in a single hour, a huge drain on border patrol resources in that sector. and we'll show you what happens to border patrol as a result of that. take a look at third video, this is one of the tent processing facilities in eagle pass. it's got a capacity of 1,000 people, but as you can see, the overflow has already started. we shot this late yesterday afternoon after those big groups came. you can see migrants waiting in line outside to get into that

facility, then there were border patrol vans loaded up with migrants who had been picked up that couldn't unload because they were waiting for pace to clear out. and keep in mind all happening with title 42 still in place. el paso also getting hammered. this last video given to one -- to us by one of our contacts showing hundreds of migrants crossing illegally into el paso last night, groups of people just walking across the river, then hay gather and wait to walk into el paso illegally. very nonchalant, hay get into a big, long single-file line, and hay wait to be the processed by border patrol. the numbers there, staggering. cbp sources telling us that el paso sector in the last 24 hours alone has seen more than 2,600 illegal crossings, enormous numbers for a single sector especially late in the year in the month of december. and back out here live, we are 11 days from title 42's planned expiration. right now the border's averaging

and talking with our state leaders, yet they're not taking action. alicia: let's bring in jake denton, tech policy research associate at the heritage foundation. jake, good to see you. now, earlier week republican congressman mike gal gallagher -- gallagher was on "special report" and had this to say about tiktok: >> tiktok is on the cusp of becoming the most dominant media company in america, and it is controlled by bytedance which is effectively controlled by the chinese communist party. it's as if in 1958 we decided the let pravda and the kqb buy up "the new york times", the chicago tribune, abc and nbc all at once. no country with even a passing interest in its own security would allow this to happen. alicia: so, jake, we have an increasing number of states hard banning this on government devices. is it too latesome. >> well, it's not too late and, frankly, you know, while the states are doing a great deal here in terms of making sure that government phones don't

have tiktok on it, it's not a solution. the only solution here is an outright ban, and every today that we wait to basically implement it is another day that a child's biometric data is uploaded, that a family's personal information is compromised and that our intellectual property is at jeopardy. alicia: just so pokes understand, the worry is that the concern when people talk about potential security risks here is that tiktok will be forced by the chinese government to give up data on americans, but how do we know that hasn't already happened? >> well, it is. we know that tiktok has special operations with the chinese communist party to track geolocation data. these articles coming out of "forbes" have roadway vealed -- revealed there's extensive communication between the leadership in beijing and the tiktok leadership, so we know this is being used to compromise data the, and we're simply waiting for it to get worse. alicia: and former president trump did move to ban app, that was walked back by the biden

administration. a mistake? >> no -- well, it was a mistake for biden to walk it back. but, you know, president trump was absolutely right in moving to ban it, because it is only solution. and it really is as simple as putting pen to paper and then the app is gone, right? apple is forced to remove it from devices. so there's really nothing to be waiting for, it needs to happen today. alicia: as we see these states make this march toward more secure, toward more security for their employees, let's just say all the states do it. that still leaves tens of millions of teenagers out there, a lot of young people who have been, they've been making selfies ever since they were born, right? and you probably see, you're pretty young, security through a different lens than, say, i see my own security and and privacy. >> and ultimately, it's bad for -- this ban for these states only is in effect for government phones. so the government cell phone from work isn't allowed to have

tiktok, but the device, you know, your personal device which you're logged into the work wi-fi on can have tiktok, your child's device can have tiktok. all the executives have tiktok on them. we have countless amounts of private day at jeopardy here, and a ban from our state governments is great, it does a lot, but governors can't keep doing this all by themselves. we need federal intervention to make sure this app isn't jeopardizing our national security. alicia: i'm just trying to imagine a bunch of members of congress who are holder -- old older than i am discussingic doc. >> there's a lack of understanding as to how this has been ingrained in the lives of our children. and a lot of young adults are going to major corporations, and they're taking tiktok with you. that's tracking geolocation today a that and key strokes, they mow every single thing you're typing into that app, and then logged and never

alicia: a multiagency search for a 62-year-old woman who went missing while snorkeling in hawaii is over. peers are growing that she may have been attacked by a shark off the coast of maui. of charles watson is following this story for us. >> reporter: hey, good afternoon, alicia. before the search was called off, the u.s. coast guard says it had conducted 17 surveys. spanning more than 300 miles, but it had not been able to

locate the unidentified female snorkeler who authorities say may have been attacked by a shark after she went missing off the coast of maui on thursday. hawaii officials say the unidentified 60-year-old woman had been snorkeling with her husband at the beach in maui when witnesses reported seeing a large shark in the water about 50 yards offshore. we're told the woman's husband reported that when the two were smokerring, he saw a shark pass him several times but eventually lost the location of his wife. after being unable to successfully locate his wife, we're told that the manmade his way back onshore, and that is where he reported his wife missing. the woman never made it back on land, but witnesses did see first responders pull personal belongings from the if water. >> we saw the air million copter come over really low and fast and wondering what's going on.

we saw a lifeguard, swimmer out here. 30 minutes later, found a snorkel and a mask. >> reporter: hawaii officials say a large 10 to 12-foot tiger shark was spotted in the area, but as of pretty afternoon, a survey provided no evidence that the shark was still in the vicinity. all shark warning signs have since been removed. this is the seventh shark attack in hawaii year, the second to happen on the island of maui since september when a shark bit another snorkeler and seriously injured them. >> i don't know if it is -- season right now, but, yeah, i think maui has most human shark encounters of the many hawaiian islands. >> reporter: hawaii in 2032 ranks among the top states in terms of unprovoked shark attacks, so how do you prevent a shark attack? experts, alicia, say, number one folks should avoid getting into

million ukrainians just in that region are now without electricity. this comes just one day after the united states announced a new aid package, a defense aid package for ukraine worth $275 million and a big part of that is air defense, specifically against drones and more specifically against iranian-made drones. more on that the in a second. first, take a look at this video. as you have seen from the donbas region, intense fighting there there, and president zelenskyy says one town is destroyed because of that fighting. so russia continues pushing for full control of the donbas region. putin has stated this as as goal of his, and russia is expending tremendous amounts of resources in trying to achieve that goal. so far they've been unsuccessful. back to those iranian-made drones, eric, there was about a 3-week lull where we didn't see them. seeing more of hem this week, but the larger relationship between the russia and iran is

around -- [inaudible] finding out what are day-to-day basis to become mayor, and that's what's prepared me for today. alicia: at what age did you decide that you wanted a life of in public service? >> i was 17 years old. it goes back to when i was in student government in high school, and i made a difference there, and not only did i make a difference in high school, i also made a difference within the community. and so that organization drove me here, where i'm at today. liberty liver and you're in a town of about 1800 people, is that correct? >> correct. alicia: what is it that you're hoping to accomplish during your time in office? >> i'm hoping to accomplish, or you know, public safety, beautifying the city,. abandoned houses, putting grocery stores, transportation, streets flooding, sewer system, different things like that, etc.

alicia: and you're a college student as well, correct? you're a freshman at arkansas state university-mid south? >> correct, correct. alicia: how are you planning to balance the life of being a mayor and the life of a college student? >> well, as going to college and and being the mayor, i'll do my college work online. you know, with college it's different, you have 3-4 weeks to get your work on, and also the mayor job is my priority as well, but balancing that i'll do my college work for my educational -- [inaudible] alicia: and also have you been talking to other mayors around arkansas? are you getting any advice? >> yes. i've been talking with the mayor of west memphis, mayor of little rock, of north little rock, camden and other areas not only in the state of arkansas, but different states, kentucky, new

jersey. alicia: okay, i've got to ask, what do you do for funsome because you're very serious. you're 18, it's great to be so serious and so accomplished at this age. i'm just curious, what do you do for fun? >> what do i do for fun? i mainly just work because i always had a passion of caring and loving for people. so my fashion -- my fun time is helping others. i feed the homeless on my prix time, volunteer with different -- [inaudible] most definitely. and basically, yeah, i just work on my free time. alicia: that's amazing. what are your -- what do the members of your family think about all this? >> they're very excited and very supportive, you know? they didn't think a guy like me in the family, you know, would become the first african-american mayor of the nation. alicia: i'm guessing you don't spend a lot of time partying like a a -- a lot of 18-year-olds, i'm the moe of -- her of an 18-year-old --
