member of a border patrol agent. >> as a family, my husband the perfect example i can provide, he himself has had to be a first responder to an infant that was drowned in the river and he desperately was trying to breathe life back into little baby girl's body and it was later learned that she had been brutalized and savagely abused. all he could think of it not moment was our little girl, our youngest daughter was same age as that little girl the john to the river. it's devastating. those are images that they never forget. they come home with her agents. >> it's an image you painted for us it's a difficult picture. actually i would like to ask you the same question. you see this from a different perspective than anyone including all of us listening right now. what do your husbands bring home? >> very much what she said the

pete: of florida sheriff is doubling down for his push for discipline and order in local schools hoping to reach a growing number of unruly students. brevard county has reportedly lost a whopping 50 teachers and bus drivers in the last two years.

many siding disrespectful and violent classroom behavior. sheriff iv joins us now taking matters into his own hands. thank you for being here. in the video were standing in front of a prison. you're saying if we don't get in front of this this is where can kids end up. how did he get to the point where the sheriff has to proactively talk about discipline in schools? >> this is a partnership between us and the school board. were in charge of district school security and this is a partnership with us, the school board members, the state attorney and all her local partners. it's gotten to the point were discipline is not being enforced in our schools and our teachers and are good students are the ones that are paying for it. we came together collectively and said we're going to put discipline rules in place that will be forced and give our teachers a good safe environment to teach and students a safe place to learn in. pete: the question is why is discipline not being enforced?

>> you hit the nail on the head it was upbeat and forced it was great discipline rules in place but they were being enforced because the teachers were handcuffed and sending referrals up. the principles were handcuffed and what they could actually do. they were having to go on a lot of the cases and go to the district school security people for them to make a decision. the principles had no authority, the teachers had no authority in it was being allowed to run amuck. the stories that we heard during the emergency school board meeting were frightening, bus drivers being struck in the back of the head bus drivers being bitten, teachers with her hair pulled in all sorts of obscenities and other things so we said enough is enough forget a partner together and we're going to put a stop to this. a great school board meeting as you saw i got a little bit of a pushback for doing the video in front of a county jail but that was by design. it was designed to send a message if you don't straighten your butt up you can end up

right here in this jail as your life continues. pete: is not just to the teachers unions are actually on your side. on thursday at one of the school board meetings you're talking about the teacher union representative laid out a couple of examples and you mentioned a few of them teachers being hit in the face with a tape dispenser student left a bite mark the size of an orange on the teacher, removal of furniture because students were throwing it. by you standing up and saying this does this mean teachers once they hold the child to account the school will have their back, you are getting detention and being suspended is a culture going to change immediately? how do you change that. >> i believe the changes in effect. for example at the thursday emergency meeting they said no more cell phones, no more earplugs or anything of that nature in the classroom students are being allowed to sit in class and play on their phones and not have to pay attention.
