they will have to work on the local generators which is very dangerous for them. mike: on a personal level you are a ukrainian official. you've been working very hard for your country. your country has also been at war for 10 months a war you did not choose. how is your family holding up during this difficult time? >> it is really very difficult. because my mom and my older son are still in kyiv and i stay in kyiv as well. my younger son is in berlin alone. i tried to visit him but this is very difficult. i have to spend almost 15 hours to get to berlin from kyiv. this is not an easy trip especially in the winter without light it's dangerous on the roads. parts of your family members thought about leaving the country like many ukrainians unfortunately have been forced to do? >> my mom is 82 and she refused to leave ukraine. she prefers to stay with others
