regulation's ranking member james comer said the g.o.p. has sufficient evidence for an investigation into both the fbi and twitter. speak with the that concerns me most with respect to our investigation, what role did the government play in the censorship with the hunter biden laptop stories, especially the fbi? i wonder who else the fbi has a matter of suppressing free speech, especially in conservatives? speed to special agent jonathan, good morning to you. the evidence is there and we know for a fact the fbi was meeting social media companies in censoring americans based on their political views so now that we have the evidence, what can be done with it? rico first of all, i love the way the democrats always pick spokespersons like john kirby who they absolutely cannot lie. what he just said there and to take way of that in the way that

he clears his throat when he is lying is such a tail. joe biden does the same thing. so what we see here is the totality of the circumstances of what we knew was happening like in a court case when everybody knows the person is guilty and they present the evidence, everybody says, "i knew it. we don't have to be rocket scientist to realize we have all been censored and oppressed in one way or another. not only on twitter but across the board. and i think that is one of the big things being missed here is we are seeing evidence of from these twitter drops is the same thing we have seen on facebook, linked in, youtube, and even google with all of these different social media platforms, which are intermarried and i don't just mean from silicon valley but literally they have spouses that work in all these different

places at high levels. so, i think what we are seeing here, we have investigative term, though totality of the circumstance. what we see on twitter is happening everywhere else on social media at the same time. >> todd: jonathan, you are a former fbi agent. you know how the sausage is made and you know how they operation is. but as the backdrop did you think that collusion rent this deep? >> well, i suspected up the higher levels, the way that we sold the entire and still are seeing the entire fiasco surrounding trump and the federal government and democrats have played this out on the world stage. we knew that this was a possibility that they were censoring things or at least telling social media when they should censor, but here, this is what i find very difficult to accept to somebody who has sworn an oath to support and defend

the constitution. whenever i wire a source, i went out and recruited a human source. i knew that if i implied something they did it in it was illegal, it would be guilty of conspiracy with the individual of conspiring with them to get them to do it if i said, welcome it would be great if that guy is dead. then i would actually be held liable for convincing that person to go kill someone. what is the difference here and everything that the democrats stand for is what the social media platforms are doing and we have evidence they met with the fbi, the doj, and people from the biden and even obama administration. what more proof do we need? what i have a real hard ache about is they are people in the agencies sworn to support and defend the constitution, and they are breaking that oath and they are breaking the law when they do it.

>> carley: that this does not surprise me silicon valley is part liberal but 99% of twitter employee donations went to democrats. but i think the real question is how did the fbi became so politically motivated? and do you think there will be an effort to reverse that? >> the fbi has always been political and all these agencies in washington, d.c., to an extent or political because they have a political ponies that run them. so when you see a different political party take control, you will see these different agency shift in the way they do things. that being said, the long-term, the long road were wrong and of the democrats played socialist and infiltrated and subverted this government, they have played the game we are not just one or two political appointees but an entire echelon of administrators throughout the

government. >> carley: real quick, former president trump appointed christopher wray. do you have any confidence in him that he may be able to get this under control? >> absolutely not. and this is one of trump's mistakes that he made, his picker when it came to picking people in washington, d.c. why christopher wray was broken and i think christopher wray is a failed leader just like james comey and just like before him. i want to see one other thing, this will all come down to not what the democrats did, but what the g.o.p. is willing to do to stop it and go after them. if they don't act, then what does it matter? nobody else, the agencies won't stop and we need the representatives to represent us in washington, d.c. >> todd: something you told the producers you believe bic tech violated the third amendment, which is basically military can't stay in your home. explain that. >> if you watched the series

"turn" and that open minds when i saw the british soldiers cornering homes and they basically will press the speech. if they didn't like what they were seeing, the people had to change their conversation. throughout, especially after 2020 and all sense trump has been in office, these social media companies working with the federal government has since oppressed us in our own homes and told our neighbors and her family members if we are not doing what they said during covid and the mandates which was not law they would turn us in. so when you look again at totality circumstances, what you see is the government is in our homes. it doesn't matter if they were sleeping in another room. they are here and they are working with social media companies to oppress our speech. that, to me is no different. they are cornering in her home without consent. >> carley: since the murder of those four idaho college students and police are now telling the community to remain

vigilant, they released a statement "with commencement this weekend, there will be an influence of people coming into town and as always we want to remind the public to stay vigilant and traveling with groups, family and friends as you travel." where do you think this case stands today? the police chief is determined to make sure this doesn't become a cold case. >> well, okay we just talked about the fbi and the fbi now taking the lead. so even though i have faith in the agents on the ground for the most part, this breakdown and who's taking the lead and how those are disseminated to the mother that has to be managed very carefully. so, they can get a lot of leads but if they are not following those leads and cataloging though so they make sure they are cleared, then the investigation will break down. one important thing i think and i just saw in a story is small-scale police department made an announcement that said, they will go after internet

sluice if they don't stop doing whatever they are doing in certain circumstances. i don't see how that is possible to make that statement. two people who are looking online, open source materials and coming up at their own conclusions i think it is i have had arguments with the sluice and i know they are trying to be investigators but if they understand something, what is the problem? i think everyone is suspicious until they are cleared. and i think if we look at it that way with her family members or people who don't know them that they have a suspicion, why not look at them and clear them? >> todd: the community is scared, the university of idaho with absolutely chilling, "how safe i feel is ever ending pendulum the last 24 hours to going home with emotional phone calls with my parents." isn't still the quiet, safe small town where i can walk and be alone? how much do i worry about the darkness now? and i know this is 4:00 p.m.

>> carley: a new report warning americans to brace for a potential recession in the new year. 2023 with a report from city investments predicts unemployment rate 5.2% resulting in the loss of 2 million jobs. the federal reserve will help trigger the recession a further raising interest rates in an attempt to fight inflation. in the meanwhile the implement rate for the month of november remains 3.7%. not good news there. >> todd: without charities keeping up with food insecurity the season with prices across the board,'s the cost of grocery store items double digits. for the city the chief development officer joins us now, ashley, how many more people are coming to you for help this year than previous years? >> good morning, yes. here in washington, d.c., we serve the low income community. we have noticed an uptick in

needs for services. generally since 2020. so just about a couple of months into the pandemic and right when we hit march, april may, we were seeing huge numbers and those numbers haven't gone down anytime soon. >> todd: most of your clients have jobs, working so hard on day in day out basis to make ends meet but the incomes can't keep up with inflation but what do they tell you when they come for you for help? >> so inflation is impacting everybody across the country. uni and everybody being affected by inflation but especially low-income people below the federal poverty line, that will hit them harder. whenever you have to start your budget, when you think about people who have so much less, that stretch is just about to break. >> todd: it is not just the clients. this is a double whammy. you guys are getting hit by inflation as well and it's

increasing your cost and sort of limiting the value of the donation dollar. describe how tough it is for you to stretch that donation dollar with inflationary year like this compared to previous years? >> you are doing that a little bit more and reports across philanthropy in the u.s., those numbers are still going up, but they are not going up matching inflation. so, now we are in the second year with inflation setting in here that's set in 2021 and even though more in 2021 and likely a jump between 2021 and 2022, it is not keeping up with pace with inflation. so if you think about your local food bake, local nonprofits, we have to raise all of those dollars in the new year and when costs are upcoming donations only up slightly. >> todd: flash forward to 2023, carley just read a story

about concern about the recession. i would argue we are already in one but the overall concern 2023 especially the first half of the year, the recession could become severe. are you worried with all of what you said as a factor, that people will stop donating to you because of the recession because maybe they start losing jobs they start having real significant financial issues to prevent them from contributing to you? >> inflation does impact donations and it does come to the middle class. lower income and inflation isn't going to hit those hairnet individuals who donate the big dollars to philanthropy. but recession does tend to impact high net worth individuals and high net worth individuals give the majority of dollars even though people with low income get the highest percentage of their income to charity, people with high income give those high dollar gifts.

so, philanthropy across the country is nervous about a recession. we have gone through recession before so we have a playbook and we went in 2008. for the most part professionals in philanthropy field are geared up. like you said, likely already in a recession so planning for this for a couple of years. we did get hit with an economic impact in 2020 when the pandemic hit. we are using some of that as well. >> todd: ashley domm on board of the charity and at the gala a couple of weeks ago that the overall census is the need this year was greater than they had ever seen before. the worry, like you said the money keeps up, fingers crossed it does for you, charities across our great country because you are doing the work, god's work we appreciate it. ashley domm, we appreciate it so much. >> thank you so much. >> todd: the border crisis completely out of control. more than 1500 migrants passing in el paso, texas, as searching

thank you for that tom homan retired acting director, cbc force essay and a half a million encounters at the southern border this fiscal year outpacing the past two years and keep in mind fiscal year literally just started in october. it's not like a normal january 1 but it started in october. look at the numbers on your screen setting records left and right and how many more records can the immigration system that sets before it completely collapse? >> first you had 1.7 million and we were talking historic high but numbers we have never seen like this in the history of the nation. then you have -- repeated by many. another historic record in this year we will break another record because this administration is not doing a single thing to stop the flow. people asked me yesterday why the numbers are increasing right now? they thought title 42 goes away in a few days. they will. the reason they are increasing now is because you have people up on capitol hill talking about

amnesty. we have the base most historic immigration on the southern border and you've got senators talking about amnesty. haven't they seen over the last three decades every time you talk about amnesty and daca that created more and after he created the outcome of the next decade hundreds of thousands of children crossing the border or family groups crossing that border hoping to be the next recipient. yesterday's uac, family groups are tomorrow daca or the hapten stop about rewarding behavior or they will never stop this. >> carley: then you have this group of 1,000 local immigrants that crossed all at once which is the largest mass crossing so far this year. dhs though says they have a plan when title 42 goes away. the problem is it is really vague. this is what they say. it includes an increase of resources and manpower as well as greater use of alternative

authorities such as expedited removal and punishment for illegal crossings. can you parse through that and tell us what that means and what they might mean by that? >> they say more resources, and they don't need to spend another dime on the border. all they've got to do is reinstitute the current policies at work. this is a policy issue. the trump administration prove that. common sense policies and they can push these numbers down. everybody is panicking over title 42. the second homeland security alejandro mayorkas wanted to go down they will institute the mexican program which was a game changer in the trump administration peer the data clearly shows that but by sending more resources down they're here is what they will do from a process quicker and release quicker. why? they don't want overcrowding. if there is overcrowding, they may have a crisis. they spend all their efforts

trying to control the crisis. you know, t let's controlled the optics of the crisis rather than the crisis itself. this will not fix the problem. we have the policies of the trump administration, turn them on and secure the border in a matter of 60 days. >> todd: you said repeatedly on this program for the administration is all about the objects. and this is another example of that. tom, this weekend a guatemalan citizen with aggravated child molestation in 2013 was arrested at the border. last year, 2,000 more noncitizen arrest than the year before and the most since 2016. look, for every convicted felon we catch, tom how many more go on call and make their way into the communities? >> they are catching -- over the last three decades, by average

20, 22% over the last decade of everybody border patrol rest has a prior terminal history. and over 100 of murder. so not everyone that crosses the border is a criminal but many of them are drug dealers, carrying fentanyl, child molesters, criminals, gang members, and the numbers prove it. president trump was not around, a lot of criminals cross the border and a lot of bad people because they do. not all of them but many are in the younger president trump when he secured the border, he saved lives. what you think so many cross el paso? the criminal cartels in mexico send a thousand people in this one area, why? border patrol is tied up responding to the crisis and that is when they move to fentanyl and gang members of the parts of the border. >> carley: joe manchin said it could be effective but his hands are tied by the biden

administration policies. is that how you see it? >> secretary of homeland security. he knows his borders and national security issue. they rested a hundred 60 known here is trying to sneak into the country. he knows what the national security issue this is. he should step up and have a backbone until the white house i cannot support this agenda because it put this country at great risk of a massive security incident and he needs to stand up and do his job and the white house doesn't help him resign because you cannot keep supporting an open border which is endangering the country. >> todd: you think cole sheriffs at the border in lockstep with your line of thinking trying to protect your people but one in arizona with cruz county arizona to punish anyone who building makeshift border wall for governor doug ducey with large shipping containers, take a listen for this. speak with the area of placing the containers entirely on

federal land on national forest land and not state the gnomic state land or private land but illegal activity peers are just the same way if i saw somebody doing assault, homicide or vehicle theft on public land within my county i would charge that person with a crime. >> todd: how can a share put politics over his own policy gnomic public safety of his people like this? >> he failed to mention that border barrier isn't even in his county and he doesn't have jurisdiction where that border is being built number one. number two yet to try to be a sheriff of law enforcement officer rather than politician. does he care that fentanyl is coming across the board of that is killing thousands of americans? does he care that migrants have died crossing the border? does he care the highest number of sex trafficking on women and children in the history of the nation? if you want to be a sheriff and law enforcement officer you would think he would support anything he could to secure the

what do you think about that? >> good morning, carley. thank you for having made this morning. i think they should not happen. this is wrong and everywhere that you look at it. this is causing a safety issue for our kids. and last but not least, this shouldn't ever be a priority right now and more pressing and urgent issue should be addressed such as allowing kids from any type of neighborhood social background to have access to a better education. i'm just sad that this is being considered and the parent needs awareness to make sure this does not occur. this will post our kids into -- there was no words for it. >> carley: you said your daughter played volleyball at

the ymca but she stop playing because there were no points on the team. tell us what happened there. >> so my daughter last year in basketball, come up volleyball actually, she wanted to see which she likes better. and at the time, she was 12 and the ymca girl basketball, she had to be placed together with the boys and the girl. and she didn't feel comfortable at all. this is the reason why my daughter really likes basketball decided to go to volleyball because she pulled me aside and told me that she doesn't feel comfortable playing with other boys on the team. it is stronger and not really a competition of women because the boys, too, will hold them self not to play well because they

don't want to be too aggressive with the girls. she finally decided to go with volleyball, okay, i notice boys are not very interested in volleyball. and it's an all girl team. i feel much more comfortable sticking to this board. and this can happen too many other kids as well. shying away from what they really like because they want to be comfortable and i think that is unfair. >> todd: we reported on the story of a navy seal who transition from male to female and is in the process of detransitioning. his message is children or getting pressure to make transgender decisions far too early by adults and health care professionals. what do you think about that message? do you think he is right? >> he is totally right. i think. children should be given time. they should be given time.

i'm not against -- but i should be given time and really know where they stand. this happened at the child's age. they should not happen at the child's age. this should not be a decision for the children to make. the only thing the parent can do is to support and let -- because growing up, you are going through different stages of life. and growing up, when you are trying to find yourself in balance and figuring it out, you could be making mistakes. so, this is not a parents decision to make it all. and this is very dangerous. >> carley: daniel, let's leave it there. thank you for speaking to us on this issue. we appreciate you. >> you are welcome. thank you for letting me speak. >> carley: absolutely.
