bill melugin was reporting over the weekend makes you think it could even be worse than expected. >> steve: he has issued a series of tweets and the first one we are going to show you is breaking, an enormous mass of hundreds of migrants have just crossed illegally into el paso, texas. there is now a massive line of migrants waiting to be taken into custody by border patrol. and more are coming. el paso sector has had over 2600 crossings, in 24 hours. friday through saturday. also, bill detailed the fact that there were 20 buses full of migrants traveled to juarez mexican city across the city from el paso. all the people from those 20 buses got out in mexico and went to ngos, nongovernmental offices. and then they walked from the ngos to the river and they crolsed illegally. so, in other words, he also detailed the fact that there were apparently a mexican police

democratic party because both she and -- now, manchin is in a different place. west virginia is so republican you couldn't run against manchin from the left. but arizona has a large vibrant left wing community. and they have a democratic congressman who wanted to run against her anyway. so i think it's legitimate. look, she is the closest thing the democrats have to a moderate, which makes her fairly liberal. but compared to bernie sanders, they are on different planets, i think he wants a party that is entirely committed to wokeism and the big government socialism, so he is going to fight for it. that's his right. >> brian: they say she votes for, with, president biden a lot. a lot of votes don't come up because she is not going to support him. it's almost deceptive. but, newt, here's the thing. did i not know. this they don't run anyone against independent angus king. independent bernie sanders. if they run someone against kyrsten sinema and the democratic vote is divided, the republicans are going to have a

walk to getting that senate seat, so they have to do this tactically, they have to think this out. >> well, unless she -- remember, three-way race you could theoretically win with 34%. and the question would be -- cinema is actually more popular with republicans. than she is with democrats. so her calculus in part may be if she could put together the handful of democrats and handful of republicans and the independents that would give her 35 or 40% in a three-way race. >> brian: interesting. >> i just don't know. but i think clearly, i think there will be a democrat, i think there will be a three-way race and i think you are right fflt. if we nominate a republican who is able to mobilize the republican party, probably they have a shot at winning that seat. >> steve: but you know that bernie and other democrats are steamed that not everybody on their side was all together. you know, to them it's a math problem. they need to have 50, now 51 votes on everything. and if somebody strays it's like

hey, what are you doing? you are just a number, not a name. >> it's really hard to understand what independent means. appearing gus king has supposedly been independent for years although he did start out as a democrat. bernie sanders is a genuine socialist but and the democratic party he is treated as a democrat. you know, manchin ought to be an independent, but he stays with the democratic appeared. if she caucuses with them, i don't know what becoming an independent means. and if both she and manchin were to decide not to side with them, they would be in a very different situation. it would be much harder for them to get anything done. >> ainsley: just because you are an independent doesn't mean you are a socialist. could be more of a moderate appears maybe she is. bernie sanders is obviously the other extreme and he is a socialist. you wrote the book defeating big government socialism. how do you do that? >> well, i think frankly what kevin mccarthy has been doing recruiting minorities, recruiting women, recruiting
