they will not be disrespected or treated unfairly and with any way, shape, or form. barry weiss, one of a handful of journalists given to access to it elon musk called the twitter file says the communications revealed an immediate move to ban trump, with one twitter employee allegedly writing "we have to do the right thing here in ban's account." another suggesting it's pretty obvious he's going to try to thread the needle of incitement while not violating the rules. there was pushback according to weiss, one twitter employee saying "maybe because i'm from china, i deeply understand how censorship can destroy the public conversation. elon musk who says the company he now owns should be all about free speech, made use of that freedom to tweet sunday "my pronouns are pro prosecute fauc"

>> these personal attacks that we have been seeing are dangerous. dr. fauci and other public health professionals. they are disgusting and they are divorced from reality. >> twitter says it's going to reintroduce musk plan for users to pay for the blue check mark. if you're the kind of person who needs that validation with the blue check mark, it will cost you $8 to $11 a month. cheaper than a therapist. >> trace: it is. jonathan, back to you later on. let's bring in tom fenton. it's great to have you on. the twitter staff, they evaluate their tweets, they said listen, we don't think the president did anything wrong. i want to read you these and get your opinions. barry weiss, he's pretty clear speaking about trump, the ones who voted for him and not the terrorists. we can call them that?
9:04 pm
another staffer agreed, don't see the incitement angle. finally but twitter executives did ban trump even though key staffers said trump had not incited violence, not even in a coded way. he was removed because there were a bunch of staffers who didn't want him on twitter. your thoughts. >> contrary to what you just read, the activists at twitter consider trump and his supporters to be terrorists, comparative to the nazis. the turn of phrase from "alice in wonderland," it was verdict first, evidence never. they change the rules and they came up with a new rule to ban trump. they acknowledged there is no precedent for it and it was only applying to him. some of the earlier materials show that the fbi was asking twitter to take down its sensor

of the tweets of americans. there's issues here that go beyond the corporate abuse that we are seeing evidence of. now we have the fbi watching our twitter feeds and potentially coming after us in getting us censored. he raises all sorts of additional legal questions. >> trace: it's amazing to me that the media by enlarged and cover any of these twitter file drops and yet elon musk goes after fauci and the left goes crazy. the media goes crazy, "the washington post," the headline is musk's ugly attack on fauci shows how right-wing info warfare works. they don't cover the releases but you say something against their side and you're done. >> that's right. musk said there was evidence of election interference by twitter. i didn't see the headlines there. i'm criticizing powerful government official whose controversial, credibly abusive

capture a massive migrant caravan. you see it crossing into el paso, texas. all while border agents braced for a potentially historic surge when: related asylum restrictions end next week. title 42. kevin corke's live in d.c. with more. >> as we have discussed for some time, the border crisis could get worse. if that weren't bad enough, the biden administration which heretofore has had little success in stemming the onslaught, frankly it appears ill-prepared for the coming surge, case in point as he pointed out, a stunning dilution at the southern border as captured by our fox news colleagues. sources telling fox they are simply overrun. the chief of the border patrol reporting that over 16,000 people have crossed into our sovereign nation in just the last 48 hours, an average of 8,000 people every single day.
9:09 pm
with 5,000 migrants already in custody in the city of el paso, well, they have done what they think they should do which is begin a mass street release of migrants because border patrol was so overwhelmed. let me take you inside the numbers, they are staggering. going back to 2020, a bit of arise frankly compared to 2017. the numbers were around 300,000, look at the encounters in 2021 and 2022. nearly 2.4 million. to hear the white house tell it, there is not much to fret over. they have got a plan. >> the team has been working very hard to ensure that we are taking steps to be able to manage the expiration of title 42 and put in place a process that will be orderly and humane. we believe that in doing so we can protect our national security concerns. >> g.o.p. lawmakers are rolling their eyes because the

where kevin and i left off th there, there really isn't a plan. there doesn't seem to be a plan. the administer she doesn't talk about the migrants coming across, they don't talk about them migrants being raped and who have died and are being victimized by the cartels. i want to listen to these two g.o.p. congressmen. >> asymmetrical warfare. we lost 297 americans, losing 293 a day to opioid overdoses. >> this shouldn't be partisan, it's not a political gain. people's lives at stake. we've got to continue to put pressure on. we also have to work in a bipartisan manner. >> talking about fentanyl deaths and everything that goes with it, your thoughts. >> that's absolutely true. this is a big reason why i started the podcast in order to expose what's happening at the border. talk about asymmetrical warfare, that's exactly what's happening,
9:12 pm
we have our adversaries taking advantage of the chaos of the border and i think what is so stunning is when you see those visuals, it's different when you're on the ground and you're watching people float across, like bill melugin i have witnessed, when it's a thousand people crossing the river and a lot of this doesn't have to do with asylum claims. a lot of this is just the human traffickers pushing and pushing more people for economic purposes into the united states and you have the children that are suffering and the women suffering, it's unbelievable what happens to these people on the road into america, the ra rapes. they are sold in the united states. we've seen deaths increase. united nations has its most dangerous land crossing the world. >> trace: when you look at what's happened over the past three years, we talk with the numbers of migrants coming across, i want to put this up, this is the terror watch list encounter. this is over the past three

years. 2019, zero. 2020, you have three, then you see it kind of take-up, 15 last year, this year you're talking about 98 terror watch list encounters. it's a dangerous prospect to have the border wide open. >> that's right, and it's not just 98 that they have encountered, those other ones that they actually were able to run a background check on, what about all those that came into the united states, over 800,000, the got-aways, how do you deal with that? some people are estimating is close to a million. these are incredible numbers so we have to assume is terrorists have entered the country and this is what our u.s. intelligence is assuming. the dea, the fbi. we have to be prepared that there could be possible attacks. not only are our adversaries taking management terrorist organizations as well and i think this is why this is so

impoverished border town and the federal immigration authorities were already strained by what has been a steady arrival of migrants. more than 5,000 migrants were in border patrol center processing center on monday. we are being told that the orders are to get those people out of there before mayorkas comes tomorrow. >> it is so tragic, so distressing. this is the dog and pony show. they do it all the time, every time the border patrol agents, their hides are tied behind their backs, they are asked to cover up so that when mayorkas arrives everything looks fine and dandy. we have seen children dying out there in the middle of the dangerous terrain. we have seen them disappear on the road with these human traffickers, i interviewed smugglers that have talked about organ harvesting and selling children into the sex trade. when is the vice president the vice president supposed to be
