"new york times" reporting the charges include wire fraud, securities fraud and money laundering. u.s. will move to unseal the indictment this morning. sec is filing on charging him for the alleged "massive years' long fraud." bankman-fried's arrest comes hours before the ftx founder was due to testify remotely this morning. congressman lee zeldin telling fox news, house republicans were ready to grill him six ways to sunday, now breaking, sbf was just arrested.

answers and the questions that need to be asked. >> the timing is just unbelievable. hours before he was actually going to make an appearance before congressional committee he is arrested, which right now i doubt seriously that his attorneys are going to let him testify at all, and i'm sure he is -- he was lawyered up before, he's probably even more lawyered up now, and it's quite disappointing for those of us on the committee because there was a lot of information that we need to go forward because of the significant interaction he had with congress. he was in the halls of congress lobbying, believe it or not, for a crypto regulatory bill his company never would have been able to comply with. and so there was a lot of information that we need that we are probably not going to get at this point. >> steve: exactly right. and there's a real good possibility he will never be interrogated by republicans up on capitol hill. the only time he will be interrogated is by a u.s.

he is also a former school teacher and he is an attorney and a fox news contributor, he used to be a democrat, and now he is a republican. but while we try to get leo back on the screen, let me tell you about the score changes from 2019 to 2022. the 4th grade math scores down five points. reading down three points. when it comes to eighth grade, math down eight points and that's from the national assessment of educational progress, which was as you remember, the national report card. math was down eight points for eighth graders and three points for reading. so our scores have gone down. our students have been in masks, and this teacher's union that randi is in charge of, some controversy on that, promoted a progressive agenda that includes critical race theory. we are going to get leo back on, we will take a break for just a

>> ainsley: try it again. back with the fallout over the teacher's union president randi weingarten giving joe biden a glowing grade, saying he has done more for schools than fdr. we promised you leo terrell, here we go. good morning, leo. >> glad to be back. >> ainsley: glad to have you. what has biden done for our schools? >> absolutely nothing. look, i'm a history teacher, too, and i'm also a lawyer. randi weingarten got it wrong, ainsley. joe biden has done more for teacher's unions than students and parents. joe biden is not a friend of students. he has basically elevated the teacher's union could cabinet status. why? donated $18 million to his campaign. ainsley, the bottom line is this. where roosevelt opened schools up, joe biden closed schools with the permission and cooperation of the union. they kept kids out of school during the pandemic. achievement scores were lower.

re-elected. >> will: one month since four idaho college students were brutally murdered in a house off campus. police have no suspects. timeline of how we got here over four weeks. this all happened in the early morning hours of sunday, november 13th. the four individuals killed, were out that night, ethan and xana had gone to a party, and kaylee and madison were out and went to a food truck. surveillance video showed them interacting with other individuals while ordering food. all four young people returned to their home around 2:00 a.m., a three-story home there in moscow, idaho. law enforcement suspects about one hour later an individual entered on the second floor through the back of the house, possibly a sliding glass door, possibly a window on the second

floor where the murders took place between th3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., 2 other roommates were survived and were on the first floor of the house. a few days later, law enforcement says those two surviving roommates are not suspects. similarly, an individual that encountered kaylee and madison at the food truck where madison said stop being weird to a hooded individual was also cleared as a suspect. not pointing to any individual, kaylee's father steve has told me on "fox & friends" weekend, he thinks they have cleared people too soon, why? the crime scene is just as messy and brutal as you could possibly imagine. you would think evidence would be left behind everywhere, including approximately five vehicles in the parking lot of that house towed on tuesday, november 29th, and are still today in law enforcement

custody. a day later, vigils are held in moscow, idaho. roughly ten days after the university of idaho says students can begin the process of learning online. of course, various times saying it was a targeted attack, there was a possible motivation and then they think it's not a targeted attack, they don't have a motivation. leaving parents and students at the university of idaho lost in fear. they are capable of getting together on wednesday november 30th and say good-bye to some of their friends. as i mentioned, at this point it seems the investigation is going nowhere, at least publicly and now you are hearing, for example, from steve goncalves, kaylee's father. parents speak out and saturday and sunday, december 3rd and four. >> but as a father, i can't even sleep thinking that i could be doing something. i do not feel confident and

that's why i pushed the envelope and say a little bit more. >> nothing has been clarified or been told to us at all. >> we need somebody to step up and be an alpha, be somebody to be a leader. >> will: steve goncalves has taken that position somewhat in the last couple of weeks. as recently as yesterday he told fox news digital, while madison and kaylee were murdered in the same bed, their manner of death was different, and it was not a simple stabbing, deep cuts to their bodies. deep as the lung and the liver. it does not seem like the law enforcement is getting anywhere, at least not publicly until this week, or last week, wednesday, december 7th. when law enforcement says they are looking for a white hyundai elantra, roughly 2011 to 2013. some suspicion, some evidence that that vehicle was in the area, somewhere in the early hour mornings of the killings as to whether or not it's connected to the murders, that's still yet

detained or held, but a tough one to get americans back. we effectively set an incredibly high price and high bar for paul whelan. if you are willing to trade someone like viktor bout and you are not going to get all the americans back, then the russians know, this guy is special, he means something to you. let me give you context. in the trump administration, we were able to get 55 americans, either held hostage tore wrongfully detained hope. trump's national security adviser had the job at the state department and one of the reasons why we had more people return to the united states again that were hostages or wrongfully detained is because he and brian hook and others were able to negotiate from a position of strengths and we didn't make these kinds of trades and deals. go back to the obama-biden administration. you remember the bergdahl trade and the five taliban members are in senior positions in afghanistan right now. so getting hostages, wrongfully detained people back is

incredibly difficult negotiation. if you talk to anyone who has done it, if you have a president that has, that comes from a position of strength like trump, it gives you so much more of that negotiation. >> steve: i talked to somebody close on the negotiations on this deal and as you have heard through open source media, the russians regard him as a spy, and so he's in a special category. they obviously want another spy, don't know who we might have to give them in return. but short of a spy, we have a million sanctions against russia. what about some horse trading where it's like ok, we'll throw these sanctions out if you give us our guy. >> the problem with that is sanctions are not supposed to be a political tool. you know, you are supposed to use sanctions to curb behavior. you say it's a piece of the pie, it's not going to change totally iran from getting a nuclear weapon or north korea, but it's a piece of the puzzle. and one of the problems of the

way the biden administration negotiates not just in this -- when you are talking about russia, but they are not enforcing the sanctions in iran. china is buying a ton of oil. when you use them as a political tool, it depletes their effectiveness. >> ainsley: let's talk about twitter. the fifth leak of the twitter files have been released by bari weiss and other journalists, and we are learning that president trump was banned from twitter even though you have people inside questioning whether that should happen. one saying maybe because i'm from china i understand how censorship can destroy the conversation, worrying about what the public finds out. >> what we can tell from the slack channel conversations, american employees shut down the chinese employees who were warning and saying wait a minute, this sounds like the chinese communist party. i actually, as state department spokesperson, had conversations with twitter because we were

very concerned about the proliferation of chinese, russian and iranian bots and misinformation. i always took the opportunity to remind them the ayatollah, who calls for death to israel and jews and everyone else is still on twitter. so, it was clearly something they made as a one-off decision for president trump but i don't think they will do it under musk, but why they previously allowed the dictators to be on twitter and the chinese communist party. their leaders are on twitter, citizens cannot get on twitter. >> steve: morgan, a headline in there, you were one of the trump administration officials who spoke to a social media about this disinformation. >> i had a call with them, plenty of us did, saying how can you allow dictators who don't allow their own people on twitter, how do you allow them to have unfetterred access to twitter and incite violence against jews and the state of israel. >> steve: so take those guys
