tv   Tucker Carlson Tonight  FOX News  December 13, 2022 10:00pm-11:00pm PST

10:00 pm
dressing. i'm saying the holidays. harry and david makes entertaining a breeze as they're prepared. meals are delicious and ready in no time. spread joy is here with harry and david. yes, golf. this will help vicks vapor up vicks vapor rubs medicated vapors go straight to the source of your cough so you can relieve your cough to breathe easier. >> vicks vapor rub fast acting cough relief. >> good evening and welcome to tucker carlson. tonight, time for a confession. right off the bat, there were times we will admit it back in the dark ages of cable news when we'd milk a single news event for weeks in some cases. and we're talking to you, oj simpson, for months and months and months, there wasn't that much going on . she couldn't afford to waste a good story. that is not the problem. you're having these days.
10:01 pm
the problem now is the opposite . of course, there's too much going on and some of it's terrifying. >> in just the last week, china signed a fifty billion dollar trade deal with saudi arabia, old ally signaling an end to america's long standing global petro empire. >> that's not a small thing. vladimir putin, meanwhile, who runs russia once again threatened to launch a nuclear war on the west. then wall street began laying off large numbers of people, which is not something you can ignore in an industry whose business it is to predict the future of the economy. and at the same time that was happening, the wealth of the average american household dropped to the lowest levels ever recorded. the cdc responded by trying to resurrect face masks because that'll help, saying sam blankman freedom got arrested and then the mexican drug cartels, which run the largest human trafficking operation since the transiently slave trade ended, now officially have control of our southern border. >> so it's been a busy week. >> in fact, more has happened in this past week than happened during two full terms under bill clinton.
10:02 pm
a lot. >> so if you're running our country right now, you'd be staying up all every night trying to figure out how to respond. >> but that's not what a biden administration is doing. >> not at all. this afternoon, as the old global order collapses to be replaced by god knows what, the biden people decided to hold a drag event at the white house. just in case you were wondering if those comparisons to weimar were overstated. >> no, they're not overstated. the occasion for the celebration is the official signing of the respect for marriage act, which the white house tells will codify gay marriage into law. but wait a moment, you wonder, wasn't gay marriage legalized by the supreme court way back under barack obama? will . >> yeah, but they've legalized it again. it's double legal. and you know what that means? that means it's time to hear from lady gaga dance party at
10:03 pm
the white house. but, ray, what's been legal for years is still legal. >> break out the white claw. cyndi was there, of course, to celebrate. >> cyndi lauper is going to be 70 years old this spring, meaning she's lived in this country a long time. >> but until today, until this afternoon at the white house, under the beneficent gaze of joe biden, the great cyndi lauper informed us that americans were not allowed to love each other until today. love was banned, but joe biden changed that. and now we're free to love. >> watch this and see if you don't choke up just a little . our families are validated. and because we're allowed to love who we love, which sounds odd to say, but americans can now love who we love and bless joe biden and all the people that worked
10:04 pm
on this for allowing people not to worry and their children not to worry about their future. >> wait, didn't that happen ten years ago? >> well, we checked that tape is from today. the party was the white house today. >> and that means that somewhere our nuclear disposal friend, sam brinton, formerly of the energy department, is sitting atop a pile of stolen women's clothes, cursing the fact that airports have security cameras in the baggage claim. ,those cameras. if only britain hadn't been caught, this would have been like christmas for him. he could have spent the morning in sydney loppers dressing room trying to purloin a new halter top talk about a missed opportunity. thankfully, marty, cummings was there to make up for it. cummings is a drag star who likes to in britain, has a long history of unfiltered social media posts f the police . cummings tweeted in 2020. yes, we want to defund the police. yes, we want to abolish ice. no, we won't settle for anything less.
10:05 pm
we'll continue to fight for this to happen. and quote that sounds tifa. >> well, yeah. and to prove it this year, cummings has something called a cab coffee using the all but copyrighted slogan of antifa. so here you have an in for friendly drag queen dressing up like a woman and promoting violence. talk about a perfect white house guest. and of course, cummings is also interested in children in all the wrong ways. cummings once tweeted this, quote, the kids are out to sing and to perform. okay, cummings then added, anyone who thinks drag isn't for children is wrong. cummings then posted this picture with the child writing. he performed perform with us next year. so if you think it's unfair to accuse people being creepy with kids, not that unfair, actually . kind of fair. >> he was cummings at a ted talk in 2019. i learned how the power of a 20 second video can change your life. how a 20 second clip can change
10:06 pm
your entire worldview. >> take a look. >> that's me and two year old brody at my drag brunch in new jersey. >> so a lot of times families come to the brunch because they're able to go to a regular drag show late at night. and it's a time that kids an experienced drag because of baby shark. >> i was able to come to the pilgram house and do a series of kids' shows. and i would ask the kids during these shows, i would say, what do you want to be when you grow up? >> and to my surprise, a lot of these kids said they wanted to be a drag queen. >> yeah, well, kids want to be a drag queen. so that's the guy at the white house today, but not really an anomaly. it was just a month ago the administration invited a guy called dillane mulvany. it's a grown man who identifies as a walking stereotype of a little girl and he met the president.
10:07 pm
>> so what's going on here? well, multiple things. of course, this is an effort to degrade the country, to make into a joke. these are people striding through the hallways that once were the work area of, i don't know, abraham lincoln and teddy roosevelt. >> and fdr. whatever you think of their policies, these were serious men who stayed up every night thinking about how to make the country better. and now there's that guy and a lot of people like that. and cindy lopper celebrating gay marriage, which has been legal since the obama administration. what is going on here? well, again, it's an effort to degrade the country, but as a political matter, it's a distraction, offend you so much or mesmerize so completely. forget that there are multiple worlds, historic crises unfolding at the same time, some of which the biden administration cause, none of which it can solve. that's the point. they have no idea what to do about the collapse of
10:08 pm
the postwar order, which is on display or the continued slow motion collapse of the american economy, which you feel because you're poorer than you were last year. >> and they don't have anything to say to you. >> even if they cared, they wouldn't have an answer. here's a drag show. welcome to weimar. know what happens next. but the point is , you lose any perspective about everything else real that is happening. this is a tactic and it's not a new tactic. >> actually , joe biden once recognized this tactic because if nothing else, he knows politics. here's biden in two thousand six in a clip. we were grateful to get recognizing, complaining about gay marriage. whatever you think of gay marriage is a pretty handy way for politicians to distract from their own failures. here's joe biden. the world's going to haiti's in a handbasket. we are desperately concerned about the circumstance relating to avian flu. we don't have enough vaccines.
10:09 pm
we don't have enough police officers. and we're going to debate the next three weeks, i'm told ,gay marriage, a flag amendment, and god only knows what else. i can't believe the american people can't see through this crowd. we have a law, the defense of marriage. we've all voted, not where i voted. and others said, look, marriage is between a man and a woman and states must respect that. nobody's violated that law. there's been no challenge of that law. why do we need a constitutional amendment? marriage is between a man and a woman. >> so he gets a pass because that was pre dementia. he has no memory of saying any of that. now he's just a vessel for the ambitions of others. >> but that was an interesting insight. people talk about stuff like this, particularly when it's not, strictly speaking, relevant because they don't want to talk about other things. and that makes it even more interesting that joe biden's handlers 16 years later are telling him to talk about gay marriage and drag shows, anything to distract
10:10 pm
you. >> and in fact, today's bill signing is to completely pull your attention away from everything else that's going on . joe , biden came out in favor of gay marriage, of course, because it's been legal for ten years. >> and in favor of the mutilation of children here. we need to challenge the hundreds of countless cynical laws introduced in the states targeting transgender children, terrifying families and criminalizing doctors who get children the care they need. we have to protect these children so they know they're loved. and we will stand for them and say, i can speak for themselves. it's pretty interesting when you think about it. so this is a bill signing affirming the legality, legalizing once again gay marriage, which most people support in this country, should be able to get married if they love each other. yeah, they should. that's fine. not that controversial point at this stage, but here's joe biden. using that opportunity to promote gender affirming
10:11 pm
care for kids. and of course, that means the mutilation of children, cutting the of 15 year olds, sterilizing them for life with chemicals. that's what boston children's hospital and many other hospitals have been doing. puberty blockers have fun with osteoporosis when you're 30 . so why would joe biden be promoting that apart from the fact certain special interest groups want him to again, this was supposed to be about gay marriage, but here you have joe biden, president united states , purportedly pushing child mutilation. and then you have this is even weirder. kamala harris out there talking about contraception, really watch for millions of lgbtq i plus americans and interracial couples. this is a victory and it is part of a larger fight. the decision reminds us that fundamental rights are
10:12 pm
interconnected, including the right to marry who you love. the right to access contraception and the right to make decisions about your own body. >> now we're just confused the right to , by contrast, abortion. >> now, no one on this show is a legal scholar, but griswold versus connecticut came down in nineteen sixty seven , which affirmed from the high court the right of americans to buy contraception . that was fifty six years ago. interracial marriage. hmm. that's been legal for our lifetimes. no one's trying to make it illegal. >> not one person is pushing to make that illegal. not one you of joe biden and kamala harris of affirming your right to buy the pill and marry someone of a different race, even though neither right is under attack. >> by any one . why are they doing this?
10:13 pm
>> well, it's of a piece with their agenda recently. remember, this is the same party that pushed through an anti lynching bill this year. lynching. was that on the list of major are there lynchings going? wasn't that already illegal? no, we just banned it for the first time. >> watch. the senate succeeded in taking long overdue action by passing the emmett till anti lynching act. hallelujah. congress has finally declared lynching a federal crime. >> the people of our nation deserve the protection of a federal a federal anti lynching law, lynching is not a relic of the past. racial acts of terror still occur in our nation. >> hate will not prevail in america. white supremacy will not have the last word. we cannot remain silent. silah is complicity.
10:14 pm
finally, after all these years, finally make lynching a federal crime. all these years there are a lot of people were for lynching, but we held off the pro lynching lobby and we got this through the congress. >> we've improved your life, really, where all these lynchings were, all these racial acts of terror committed by white supremacists search the internet for them. you will see some racial acts of terror. >> hard to find a lot committed by white supremacists, any maybe where the numbers on that ,how many racial attacks by white supremacists have there been in the last couple of years? have been a lot. we're not familiar with that. we're not aware that that actually happened. pretty sure didn't actually happen. we do know that nooses have appeared in various places. do you remember that there was one at the construction site of barack obama's new presidential library? >> maybe that's what they're talking about. they offered a six figure award
10:15 pm
to catch the person who tied rope in a forbidden shape. but no culprit was found. how weird. then there was that news in the nascar garage. then there was a news about jesse smoltz neck. is that the lynching they're banning? the funny thing is , you know, that's not real. and most people know it's not real. why are they continuing to say this? well, because as actual problems, real problems mount and they have no answer and no solution, and they're trying to dodge culpability for creating those problems in the first place. >> they have to double down on fake problems. we're banning lynching and no one left. there's not one person is for lynching. bill melungeon in his team, speaking of real problems, just shot this new video of massive crowds of foreign nationals invading a country. >> that's just true. most of them are not from mexico. they're from very, very far away across the oceans. >> and now they're in a mexican border town across from brownsville, texas, and they're waiting there for title forty two to end in eight days.
10:16 pm
and when that happens, when the bush administration drops that last piece of legal defense against invasion, it's going to be an overwhelming wave. >> of course, maybe that's why they're bringing drag stars and cyndi lauper to the white house. because they don't want to talk about, i don't know, the threat of nuclear war from vladimir putin. >> president vladimir putin appearing to dash hopes of a diplomatic solution, warns the war will be long and that the risk of a nuclear conflict is on the rise. >> but he quickly dialed back his language, insisting russia would only use a nuclear weapon for self-defense. never first if it was more of a reminder than an overt threat, someone especially the risk, is increasing, he said, adding, we haven't gone mad . we understand what nuclear weapons are. we are not going to wave it like a razorblade around the world. but of course we must proceed from the fact that we have it so we're now at war.
10:17 pm
a hot war, not a proxy war, a hot war. with russia, american military personnel, lots of u.s. government employees are in ukraine fighting that war with american weapons that you paid for. and the guy we're at war with just threaten to use nuclear weapons against us . now, whatever you think of that war, that's not a story that's not bigger than banning lynching or legalizing gay marriage. again, when it was already legal or legalizing contraception, which has been legal since nineteen sixty seven or interracial marriage. >> what talk about a head fake. who's falling for this? oh, everyone. >> chris bedford is executive editor of the common sense society. he joins us tonight. chris , good to see you. >> maybe this is like a human thing where when really serious things start to happen, you decide to rearrange the books in your bookshelf or something. >> but i've never seen more frivolous coverage of anything in my life. than what we're watching now. >> it's looking more or more like late stages of pagan rome, where no one seems to have the answers.
10:18 pm
republican party, by the way, doesn't seem to have the answers to the fact that globalization is hollowed out, the american economy, that the workers are taking over corporate have taken over sports , taking over hollywood. the children are being attacked in their schools. but the democrats have become like niros court where you just look to there and it's a grotesque theater to distract people. this was supposedly about the respect for marriage act you were talking about. what about gay couples or interracial couples are represented by a man dressing up as a ridiculous stereotype of a woman and prancing back and forth. what about respect is about respect for marriage? is persecuting christians and people who are who refuse to go along with this bill that's what they are focused on . and it seems to me their ideology stops a lot of people in the white house from actually attacking, tackling what's going on at the border. they're so committed to what's going on in ukraine, they can't even see nuclear war as it comes with them in the face. so this handed over control to this pageantry and these children. and this is what we're getting. >> and the american people are suffering and they're putting on this kind of theater. >> i would even i would have respect. and i do have respect, actually , for people
10:19 pm
who disagree with me, but who are trying hard to arrive at the right answer. i mean, i think that's worth respecting. effort is worth respecting. they're not even trying. no, they're pushing their own kind of theater here. and just like you said, who was a lynching act actually defending what is this actually protecting? this is just not even really just a base card as much as it is simply a distraction spent something that joe biden has done for years, he said on the campaign trail against mitt romney and paul ryan . milquetoast, as you can get , that the republicans are going to y'all back in chains. but at the same time, no one in washington is actually tackling what's going on , whether it's offshore and whether it's a threat of china, whether it's the fact that we're engaged in the wrong theater, whether it's the fact that our borders collapse, the republicans keep on saying things like my wall. we're going to put that back in place and we're going to read the constitution on the house floor. again, like governor mccarthy is pushing. but how does it actually solve the the rot that we have here in this country? people can tell there's still a lot a good beating heart in the heartland of america. there are good people who are ready to to work on this. but in our capital cities, in washington, d.c., there's a lot
10:20 pm
of ugliness that's totally true. >> everything you said is true. and there are great people, the best people in this country and a lot of smart, dedicated, brave people. and you hope one rises to the top . you really do in this next political cycle. chris bedford, great to see you. thank you. thank you so mike tyson's been one of the world's most famous men for more . thirty five years. but what's he really like? he's not at all. not at all. what you might imagine, he's like really smart and insightful and he's led an unusually, amazingly interesting life, very long conversation with part of this next. >> and greetings to you. thrill seekers, conversationalists and music lovers all across the be full and optimistic fruited plain. it's the rush limbaugh program here on the excellence in broadcasting on it's christmas
10:21 pm
time. don't let the news frustrate you. turn to god. >> put all your worry or hope, your faith, trust, particularly this week to god if there's hope and if there is hopefulness that there are good signs, that's where you'll find god bless. merry christmas. thank you. ever so much. i don't own a single stock or bond. i know. i'm mr. amtrac. i know i'm called middle class joe lunchpail. >> joe middle class joy . the truth of these lifestyle is the opposite . the biden family amassed a fortune, as in comedy, with corruption. timing is everything. there's multitudes of evidence
10:22 pm
of criminal behavior by hunter. any time hunter had a business deal to do, joe , was the fbi intelligence agencies and the american news media. they simply decided we don't want the american people to know about. i have not taken any from any foreign source. >> the biden's got some thirty $1 billion from chinese businessmen hunter biden and jim biden had defrauded me. cfc was dismantled. the biden family still made millions within hours of our story going lodge twitter shut us down. you have to fight the cancer of corruption. hello, i'm mike lindell and i'm excited to bring you my biggest betting sale ever. just in time for christmas, get my giza dream bedsheets for as little as twenty nine . ninety eight . a set of pillowcases. only nine ninety eight rejuvenate your bed with my pillow mattress topper for as low as ninety nine ninety nine .

10:24 pm
10:25 pm
one . just pay a separate fee call or log on to buy bioactive plus .com when tyson is not the sort of person we generally interview on this show, he's not a political figure. he's not still boxing. why did we talk to him? well, because mike tyson has spent almost forty years at the very pinnacle of american society. and then at the very bottom , he went to prison. >> at one point he's seen everything and a lot of people who lead lives like that are destroyed by them. they become numb and insensible ,particularly if they're boxers. but a rare few become wise and fascinating and able to communicate what they've learned.
10:26 pm
and tyson is definitely in that category. so for brand new episode, tucker carlson, we sat down with tyson and we began by asking him what was it like growing up? here's part of that i'm ashamed of, but i'm really proud of my childhood. yeah, but no advantages. yeah. my disadvantage. my advantage. what do you mean by adversity? inspired me to be more than what i truly was. i believe that. so you are inspired by ali. >> then you go to a different reform school and they have a former fighter there who trains you. it's at the point when you realize you're going to do this for a living. yeah, but this is the thing. when i came here, i was in another facility on that campus and i believe i if i don't want to get stabbed for my bed, i had an altercation with somebody, so i came. when he met me, i had handcuffs and i'm rearrested and i was a mess. and so when i when the guys are
10:27 pm
talking to me because they wanted me, they said, well, you're not a bad guy because you did that. so we thought if we have x, y, but we still need to me, that will probably get you in shape. and i said, well, i would love to meet them. i met muhammad ali fauci, muhammad ali one , and then this guy. nasima, do you want to talk or what do you want? >> i want to be a fighter. everybody wants to be a family . show me you want to be a fighter. let's just see how your conduct is . and i went from being a really jerky, nasty guy to becoming a ac2. really? yeah. they start training me. what was it about that is the discipline that he imposed? yes. i wanted to be a fighter so that if you hadn't become a professional boxer, what would you have done? >> there's no doubt that was will be that champ you knew you were going to be. >> at what age? thirty , forty and four years later, you were seven years later. >> seven years later. so when did you meet customizer? >> when i was twelve.
10:28 pm
that the facility in the guy drove me to me, though i made my levels. that was a trustee now. yes, i was a good kid, a trustee so i can get a year off campus and go visit them. >> what was he like? >> total disciplinarian? yeah, pignol. >> yeah. yeah, that's what i need. not a those signs of weakness. yeah. no side of the wing. if you didn't conduct yourself the way he conducts yourself, you're not italian. he's going to tell you what italian. if he thought like one of those guys, pauly shore. well the poorly named italian guys, the jersey sugar. yeah. i'm not italian because they are italian. they are not italian. you would say something like that. we don't conduct yourself. okay, pat cipollone conduct themselves like this. he's not italian. he was he was that kind of guy. amazing. so when i was in playful, he's nothing playful, playful.
10:29 pm
we had to teach talk behind his back and nothing about him. and you like that. hey noah. i loved someone cared about me. yeah. and my faith and to me to punch him in the face, tackle so so his most to your voice and about me attack you physical. were you ever afraid. >> although i'm afraid of them, i'm afraid of them that they are bad. he may sure. you afraid of him. and you like that. >> listen we were on the third floor. we talk. yeah. we talk about girls and stuff and then we hear him come off. didn't anybody stop talking? and then he come to say, hey, everybody laughing from the first floor, i can't hear you not laugh. i want to laugh to do nothing because we were just talking, you know, just on our back . >> we don't we talk about girl that's the girl. you have to get girls up. you we can't be this thing about girls.
10:30 pm
okay, so we never told what we think because we're not doing that because me talking nothing about what i want to know. >> you guys all laughing houses up in cheers. >> laughter i want to know, how did you stop laughing? why? >> and you know, the guy is scared to death to say anything. >> but i mean, you're like twice as big as him. not to me. nothing. he he had the he had the he had the system of intimidation down like a science really. he had it down to a science. what were his methods. not talking. you know, he got languages or language without making to make it sound. yeah. so you understand if he's bad in that i get that. oh look at me. i'm a little boy. so happy to be with this guy. look how big i am. a fourteen year fourteen. look how big i am. yeah. you're enormous. baby . >> so did he and i. pardon my bad memory. did he live to see you become.
10:31 pm
>> no, he died a year before i left in a year. really. eight , nine months. something like that. and he by that point i think was your guardian, right? >> yeah. my mother signed me to him before she died. how old were you when she died? sixteen . >> sixteen . so he wasn't just your coach. he was your mentor and your. yeah, they didn't make them fight. i had to be here, you know. can't go that way. we had to get a job. i had to be there. did you live with him? yeah, i was there for thirteen . you lived at his house? yeah. that's so different. hey, listen, any time i saw a white guy with a judge, a cop, he was a victim. >> and i come to this guy house and this guy showed me love and why i love his powerful one of the reasons i wanted to interview you is because you're the author of one of my favorite quotes ever in english, which is everybody's got a plan till he gets hit in the face 100% because people
10:32 pm
now, especially now, no one's going to find people like talking now to get on the stage youtube and they start talking. yeah. and that's why some people, some people are made for handling handelman criticism. they just not made some people go off the deep end once you criticize them. yes. some people just can't handle it. and some of the problem with powerful people, you can't handle it. >> they're not mature enough to handle criticism. >> where have you gotten better at handling criticism? as you've gotten older? yes, but mostly, yeah. but it's still you can it can get even better sometimes. than that. i get in my head and think i'm somebody and then i'm easily offended. but when i know i'm nobody, i could never be offended. deep inside. sometimes they get in my head that i'm somebody and i'm easily offended. and then i remind myself i'm nobody. >> and i'm not offended that 100%. so if you you know, if you're that well known everywhere you
10:33 pm
go , people are up to you and taking pictures with you. how do you remind yourself, as you said, that actually i'm nobody. well, i'm not god god did to act for this. and this is what he gave me. it's not like someone gave me something i didn't require. i wanted this life. i prayed for this life and i received it. when i think i'm somebody, i'm offended. remember, i'm nobody. i'm not. there's a lot more in that vein tomorrow. and talks about his faith and his love of animals. really one of the most remarkable conversations we've ever had. and then he describes how he really felt about the men he fought in the ring over the years. and we'll give you a preview. >> i wanted to kill them, but you know that. stay tuned for that. absolutely worth watching. so like a lot of people, we always said that twitter was a social media site. then why were all these into agents working for twitter?

sports app. the masks is back with the biggest season yet. and we've got let the games begin. fox wednesdays, new costumes, every episode, deep history. i love that double unmasking every week and more stars than ever before. could this be tommy lee? >> tom holland, the coach, tom brady. the best zinger wednesdays on fox and watch any time on hulu, our generation's greatest fear is not coming home safe . i wish we could sit here and part ways knowing that this is never going to happen again. there's a shooter at school and that there's not other families out there that are going to be affected by something this tragic. i immediately jumped up and i yelled, my son's in the building. but that's that's dreamland. that's not reality. this has to end. what could be more important than protecting our kids? who are we? we are the youth of the nation
10:39 pm
are the youth of the nation, are the youth of the nation. and we're all in this together and we're all in this together. this this is a national is a national code red . code red . this is a national code red . >> let's say we're trying to staff a social media site. who would you hire? well, obviously, since it's a tech business, you would hire tech people, coders, software engineers to keep the place running. >> they need hired administrative staff because you had to some lawyers, a caterer, a flack or to maybe an interior decorator if you wanted hq to look good. >> but how many spies would you hire? we'll probably run. spies have nothing to do with the mission of a social media company. they would not be needed. >> and you wouldn't hire any
10:40 pm
opera singers either. yet for some reason, twitter seems to need an awful lot of spies. >> the upper ranks of twitter, we now know we're absolutely loaded with people who once did intel work for government agencies. >> at least 15 of these people and possibly many more . >> most of them were hired in the wake of donald trump's election. now, what were these people doing all day and what was supposedly a social media company? >> well, that's the question, isn't it? we know that james baker came from the fbi has been accused of secretly censoring incriminating internal files before elon musk could release them to the public. baker was fired for that. so that's some of what james baker was doing at twitter. but how about charles smith of twitters trust and safety department? smith joined twitter after working at us cyber command. hmm. or how about jeff topcoder, formerly a director of naval counterintelligence? what was he doing? or kevin michalina or doug hunt or mark jasinowski or douglas turner? or karen walsh. russell handler. vincent luzira. all of these people once worked
10:41 pm
for the fbi as well. their colleague, jeff carlton came from the cia. >> patrick conlon once worked at the nsa and so on . >> and it wasn't just american intel officers who found home at twitter. the company hired foreign spies to . in january , peter zakho was fired from his position as twitter's head of security. reportedly, zeljko lost his job because he complained about the level of control that foreign intelligence agencies had over virtually all of twitter's operations. according to zakho, there were operatives on twitter's payroll from other governments, including china and india, and they had access to a private user data. >> and those are just the details that we know about . elon musk was asked recently how many former fbi agents are currently employed by twitter, but he wouldn't say it's all pretty weird. >> could it be that while the rest of us imagine that twitter was a social media site, a place to vent about politics and sports and the kardashians, could it be that twitter was actually maybe primarily a propaganda tool and intelligence gathering apparatus?
10:42 pm
for a variety of intel agencies? well, yes, that's possible. and you can see why various governments would want access to the information that twitter had. keep in mind that twitter's direct message to d.m. feature function for many years as a kind of private text app for some of the world's most prominent people. >> so if you want to know what high government officials really thought or if you want to know what well-informed sources were telling reporters off the record, you would want to see those messages. >> did twitter executives ever share those dm's those private messages with anyone outside the company without a warrant? we strongly suspect that they did the proof. of course, resides on twitter servers along with a lot else. think about it. >> if twitter's been functioning as the arm of government intel agencies and clearly it has been, then its internal documents will contain information about all kinds of things, not just about the sentencing of donald trump. not just about tony fauci. he's buffoonish lies about the covid shot, no information about big history shaping
10:43 pm
events, the sabotage of nord stream two, for example, the supposed poison gas attacks in syria, both of them the imprisonment of julian assange. why is he there? >> the theft of incriminating emails from the dnc. what is that story? the motive behind the russian invasion of ukraine? and much, much more ? >> in other words, elon musk now has control of the most significant trove of secret information ever to reside in private hands. so far , we have not seen much of it. >> and you have to wonder why we haven't. let's hope that we do. so brazil held its general election back in october, and there were a lot of concerns about whether the election was on the level where all the votes counted. for example, was this a fair election? but brazil's top courts banned any investigate or discussion of the topic. >> and now, not surprisingly, brazil is descending into chaos. >> police are shooting at people.
10:44 pm
letterman is an investigative journalist who's one of the few in america who did cover brazil. >> he joins us tonight with an update on what's happening there. matt , thanks for coming. what is happening in brazil right now and why? >> well, we are in day forty four of continuous protests with millions of brazilians taking the street to exercise their constitutional right, free assembly, free protest as well as their god-given right. that is absolutely enshrined in brazilians order and progress its rule of law. but at the same time, the supreme court yesterday, they certified lula's election . that is akin to our january 6th, where we certify the presidential election. and upon certification with the protests continuing, the supreme court justice, chief justice alexander de moraes, who is head of the supreme court and the subsidiary court, the supreme electoral court, issued an arrest warrant for one of the protest leaders who happens to be an indigenous leader from
10:45 pm
the amazon. the jovanotti tribe and the upon his arrest, protest continued and then it actually erupt into violence. and in forty four days, there has. >> and no violence, no arson, no vandalism. and you know how you know, because you would have been reading all about it everywhere in the brazilian mainstream press and even the global press, it has been peaceful and prayerful and the people just want to be heard. they want to see a military audit done. >> and the supreme court has blocked that. so they continue to protest. the parallels are amazing. and so, by the way, is the information controlled by the social media companies that tirman. thank you so much for that update tonight. well, as if america didn't have enough drug problems, there is a new drug being sold, apparently legally at gas stations in your neighborhood that's very serious and can have deadly consequences. we'll tell you what it is next. do you have trouble hearing conversations? are you constantly asking loved ones to repeat themselves?

orchestrated the biggest financial fraud in history. now he's been arrested in the bahamas. there's just been a major development in that case. fox has trace gallagher, as always, has the details for hey trace. hey, tucker. just weeks ago, sam bakeman frade was a billionaire. now he says he's down to just one hundred thousand dollars. still, a judge in the bahamas denied bail, saying that he was a flight risk. the judge also wants bakeman to remain in the bahamas until february 8th. and bank manfred's lawyers say they will fight us extradition. meantime, the charges include wire fraud, bank fraud, securities fraud and conspiracy. to commit campaign finance violations. after handing out tens of millions of dollars in illegal donations almost exclusively to democrats. in fact, bank been freed , spent thirty nine million dollars in the recent midterms elections second only to george soros. and in 2020 sbf was directly and indirectly one of president biden's biggest donors. but the white house won't say if biden will return the campaign contributions.
10:52 pm
white house press secretary karine jean-pierre piara gave one of her standard answers much to look. i'm covered here by hatch act, limited on what i can say and anything that's connected to political contributions from here. >> i would have to refer you to the dnc, but as many point, the president's opinion does not fall under the hatch act. then again, he has used the hatch act to remain silent on numerous issues. >> we were supposed to hear from sbf today, testifying before congress. instead, he was arrested at the eleventh hour and former federal prosecutors say the arrest does not make any sense because normally prosecutors want suspects to talk because they tend to indict themselves. clearly, somebody in a position of power did not want to hear what sbf had to say. tucker. >> so he's arrested, right, for the testimony. amazing. gallagher, you can see every night, midnight at fox news at night, and you should.
10:53 pm
>> so america has a drug problem. no one in power wants to talk about it. the opioid epidemic alone has killed hundreds and hundreds of thousands of americans. now, a new drug that acts in some ways like an opioid is available legally at gas stations all over the country. it's being called gas station heroin. what is this exactly and why is it legal? >> dr. marc siegel joins us to explain. dr. tucker, listen. there's a forty six billion dollar industry in the united states for dietary supplements, which are actually active chemicals. yes, we have a pill popping society. yes, doctors are responsible for a lot of it. but this stuff is over the counter. one of them is called tionne neptun. you're never going to hear that name, tucker. it goes by zazai red or taiana red , and you'll find it in bodega or in a gas station or in the grocery store. and it works on the opioid receptors in the brain, supposed to be an anti depressant, but it works as an opioid like heroin. and there's nothing that anyone can do about it.
10:54 pm
now, six states have banned this stuff. and by the way, people get addicted in the other states and they rush to these states for rehab where other dietary supplements are available. where is the fda? the fda has been saber rattling on this and putting announcements up on their website and they know how dangerous this is , but they are not banning this. only six states people are overdosing. there's plenty of calls to poison centers. doctors can do nothing about it. fda must act, tucker. >> yeah, it's the least they can do. they owe us . >> dr. marc siegel, thank you so much, linda. thank you. more news just ahead. i am katie. i've asked one hundred and ten pounds onkalo and just over a year ago is different than other programs i had been on because i was specifically looking for something that helped with insulin resistance. i had had conversations with my physician indicating that that was probably an issue that i was facing and making more difficult for me to sustain weight loss. golo has been more sustainable.
