think about what he's going through and his close family, they are talking to each other all the time, going over games, wordle. imagine not having that person at the christmas table. let's listen to my interview with the son just moments ago. >> i began calling her at 2:00 with arrival time of 5:00 and she didn't answer, which was unusual. by the time i got to her home around 5:30, i figured something was wrong, this person was doing worse and worse things and it took unfortunately the worst thing imaginable to get him caught. my mom was an all-american woman, she was a loving grandmother, mother and she loved this country. >> carley: michael also said that his mom was not elderly, do

not call her that, they were vivacious and they had a lot planned for the holidays. she was involved in a lot of clubs and was living in this buckhead gated area because of the safety concerns she had and what happened to her he said would have been her worst nightmare, as it would be anybody. you think about the suspect, his name is antonio brown and apparently he had just robbed a liquor store and you can presume he was trying to steal eleanor bowles' car to get away from police and bill white, leading this effort to secede from atlanta because of the safety issues, he says police cannot possibly respond toula the crime and buckhead is getting less and less safe, he said police took

20 minutes to respond to the liquor store theft and if they had responded sooner, no indictment on police, this could have been prevented. we are seeing breakdown of civilized society, so many on the left support not locking individuals that have a progressive as michael said, rap sheet, delving into more and more violent crimes. when you have a situation like this, a son just weeks before christmas, talking about how he's not going to have his mom, not going to have that love that he once had sitting at his christmas table, it puts this in human terms we often don't do enough. >> carley: one last thing on antonio brown's rap sheet, arrested four times since 2019,

felony aggravated assault, grabbing his mom by the throat with a knife and he reached a plea deal. he had been in jail over 12 months, so was released and felony assault charge was never prosecuted and fulton county da says antonio brown's mom was the aggressor, imagine, he could have gotten more prison time and back to imagining what could have been if he were behind bars. the takeaway is a beautiful life lost to senseless violence and the family is heartbroken and the son speaking out. >> todd: no community in america is safe right now. >> carley: turning to the crisis at our southern border, our camera capturing the moment hundreds of illegal minot gras are released to the united states.

all those people? >> quite frankly, they can't, there will be a breaking point. this is a federal problem, not a problem for el paso or brownsville, not a city problem, it is a federal problem and quite frankly, el paso and brownsville are not getting resources they need, mainly money to handle a situation and they are not receiving the funding in a timely manner or adequate amount from the federal government. i feel for the people and the border, especially the city people working for the people that are involved in this. the other thing is that this is going to have an impact on state and local law enforcement agencies on the border and throughout the united states because these migrantses, some are committing crime and a lot of them will become victims of crime. this is an issue where state and

local authorities are handling a federal problem. >> todd: we've been reporting 500,000 record number of encounters beginning in october of this year alone, just encounters, that doesn't mention those that make it to the homeland without being encountered. dhs requesting $4 billion to deal with this, what is the money going to did, it seems like a waste to me, you're the expert. >> the dhs needs the money, more importantly, what i was referring to cities need the money, i talk to city leaders in el paso and they ran out of money, they don't have money, they simply don't have funding to deal with the situation. the federal government needs to advance millions of dollars to el paso and other border towns,

sure that you finish the wall and you provide the resources necessary to the border patrol to enforce title 8 and you don't do away with title 42. those are all tools to stop what's going on at the border. the second thing is exactly what you say. you have to bring people in and hold them accountable to the public and to congress for the policies that they deliberately, intentionally it willfully put into place that are drawing people to this country at the rate of last weekend over 16,000 encounters. and that doesn't include the got-aways, which the tucson sector some days is over 1,000 people known to be getting away. >> carley: yeah. congressman, in both el paso and brownsville, two cities that are nowhere close to each other, those areas are so overwhelmed right now that border patrol is just mass releasing migrants offer of the streets. and these people have nowhere to go. they are essentially homeless. i remember under the trump administration, democrats were incensed over the lack of beds

that migrants had at border patrol facilities. so, where is that outrage now? >> well, they are mute on the subject because they say we can't even admit there is a problem on the border. some of them say it's absolutely okay. there's only one democrat that i know of that is talking about that. i mean, just to your point, they are going to start releasing into the community in yuma as well. they have a city that they put up, holds 1200 people but most days has over 3,000 people. only one ngo, small facilities, the hospital there overrun by people being released into the community who just pop up into the e.r. into their maternity room. this is going on all along the border. it's going to be spreading throughout the entire country. it has to because there is just millions of people that are flooding the border. >> todd: when you look at these numbers, the images we are seeing currently on our screen these are bad but this is before title 42 goes away.
