administration department of justice swept him up and he was indicted by the sec. well, yesterday, they had a hearing up on capitol hill on the senate side and elizabeth warren who has railed against crypto currencies for a long time, had on the hot seat kevin o'leary who has been an endorser of ftx. >> ainsley: the guy from shark tank. >> steve: shark tank is how everybody knows him. she asked him very pointedly, hey, one of the problems with crypto is it did can be used for money laundering, right? well, he didn't want to admit to that, and here's the exchange. >> if banks and western union said they shouldn't have to follow any money laundering rules, so that they could make more money, they could improve their profitability, what would our country say and what does every country around the world in the financial system say? >> i take issue, senator, with your concept that it makes it easier to do money laundering. currencies have been used for

would like to see it regulated. and kevin o'leary himself did say earlier that it should be crypto currency should be regulated. ben mackenzie who is an actor you probably recognize from the o.c. a lot of people don't realize he also has an economics degree. and he has been trying to -- he has been working with a journalist to expose these celebrities who go out and who have endorsed crypto currencies. and he essentially accuses them of shilling for these companies which he says are a gigantic scandal and scam. here he is yesterday in the senate. >> in my opinion, the crypto currency industry represents the largest ponzi scheme in history. in fact, by the time the dust settles, crypto may well represent a fraud, at least 10 times bigger than madoff. the fact that he has roped in

tens of millions of americans from all walks of life, as well as hundreds of millions of people worldwide, should be of concern to us all. >> steve: so many people invested in crypto when it was -- in its infancy trying to get that skyrocketing, you know, profits. and now they are holding worthless currency numbers that don't activate cash anymore. people are like i thought it was okay. >> brian: according to ftx 1.2 million retailers, aka, regular folks and 5 million worldwide have lost access to the money that they put to ftx. not just rich people like kevin o'leary wondering what happened to this investment or tom brady wondering what's going to happen with the class action suit. it's everyday people. >> ainsley: regular people. >> brian: that's going to force these politicians to give back that money. when you see regular people say i lost everything so you could have some more campaign ads to

going on in the holidays. keep in mind, too. this is fresh off the midterm elections. you would think these numbers would be death to a party in power but it wasn't. this is another fox news poll question has inflation caused you financial hardship over the last six months? 74 percent said yes. 25 percent said no. also just about everybody says it is effects christmas shopping 4 in 10 christmas shopping this year. people aren't feeling optimistic. >> ainsley: real estate is not moving. you are right. if you talk to any real estate agent right now, they are saying the real estate market is not moving. >> steve: if you are going to buy a mortgage. you absolutely cannot. because, yesterday, the federal reserve upped the rate, you know, in the past it's been three quarters of a point. yesterday it was half a point. now their target fund rate is between 4.25 and 450. which is the highest since 2007. it's like if you -- you know a year ago, if you tried to buy a house, and you wanted your mortgage payment to be about 2500 bucks, you could get a

house about $600,000 in costs. now, for that same payment, you can get something in the 300s. >> ainsley: half of it. >> steve: wind up with half a house. they expect the interest rates to continue to go up in the coming year until they bring inflation down. but, here's the problem. this is what everybody is worried about. that is will the interest rates kill jobs? and they said yesterday, yes, they will. they are forecasting that a year from now, the unemployment rate will be about 1% higher than it is. so, so many people are going to lose their jobs when we know for a fact that if joe biden simply increased domestic oil production, it would drop the rate of inflation all across the country and people would save money, but he doesn't want to do it because he wants people to drive electric cars. >> brian: so joe piscopo just wrote me a frank sinatra aficionado. he has his own morning show.

such a big problem with migrants being chased by texas authorities and whatnot, there are a lot of high-speed chases. so the police in your town have put military borders around the schools so that if there's high-speed chase, these guys don't crash into the school building. as a parent, that's got to just horrify you. >> yeah. it does. and, you know, the people of texas and our community in kinney county, we have had to take measures like this to protect the children on campus. and texans across the board, i believe, feel abandoned by the federal government. we realize there is two people that can fix this situation either joe biden or greg abbott. texans, i believe, are praying every day that abbott, you know, stops this nightmare and secures the border. >> steve: sure. and, just like rosa and stephanie, your property is vandalized every week by the migrants. there are thousands of migrants coming in. and your houses, your ranches

are between them and wherever they are going. so they cut right through, brent, how much have you had to spend out of pocket just to repair the stuff that you will never be reimbursed for that has been vandalized or destroyed by the migrants? >> oh, it's hard to put a number on it. i mean, you know, my family ranches, the entire community is a ranching community. it's in the thousands. you know, each fence. high fence for exotic or low fence cattle or just barbed wire. it all costs money. we have to hire one person that does nothing but patrol the fences every day. that's his first task he does every single day to make sure the fences are intact. and that's hiring someone year around just to do it. >> steve: absolutely. as joe biden and his administration let people in, you know, they are giving the big cities money for short-terms, to provide housing and food for the migrants. but, for the supreme like the three of you, who have been
