the press secretary was asked yesterday and could not estimate how many more migrants will be crossing into the u.s. when title 42 goes away. not like these stems don't exist. according to dhs, we are going to be seeing an estimated 9 to 15,000 migrant crossings each and every day. the white house repeatedly defended itself against any criticism saying the president is doing the work to deal with this problem at the border and on immigration they are going to be leaning in on what they call their successful strategy, guys. >> steve: jacqui, how can the press secretary say we have got no estimate when the biden administration's department of homeland security halls as you just detailed an estimate? best case scenario actually worst case scenario year 10 to 20,000 people. >> i'm sure we might have gotten an answer to that if peter doocy had gotten a question in

2,000 migrants on the border wall on the other side of the el paso border wall waiting to get into the country. on the u.s. side, tucker, border patrol officials are so overwhelmed and local churches are so overwhelmed seeing a mass release of migrants onto the street. 100 a day released onto the streets and basically being forced to sleep in the cold streets of downtown el paso including children here, tucker. it's a true humanitarian crisis and they only expect the situation to get worse once title 42 expires. they are saying they could reach up to 4500 illegal crossings here a day just in el paso. >> steve: that is why the mayor should declare a state of emergency but he has got money now and he will not. meanwhile, speaking of emergencies, there are a lot of people on capitol hill it's bipartisan actually, warning about the dangers of an app., it is the number one app. in the world. it has overtaken google. it is called tiktok. it is controlled by bytedance, which is a chinese company. and the worry is you give all your information including information to tiktok the

>> brian: back now with a fox news alert. a new wave of russian missile attacks rocking multiple cities across ukraine early this morning. this as the kremlin promises consequences that the u.s. goes through with plans to send a patriot missile defense system to the embattled nation. here now to react is fox news senior analyst general jack keane. general, your thoughts about our patriot system going in and vladimir putin's warning not to? >> yeah, well, certainly it's a very valuable system. it's a complicated system. and i think that may have been some of the reluctance in terms of why we didn't get there sooner. it should have been there sooner. it does require a little bit more training on it than some of the other systems we provided like himars, which has been so decisive. but, yes, we are glad to see this system going in. obviously russia has changed its strategy. i mean, they are consolidating their forces in the south and in the east. and they have been losing the

ground war in the south and the east. let's face it. the second thing is they are focusing the war on the ukrainian people shutting down the entire energy sector and burdening this country rather severely economically. that is their major objective that is taking place right now. and this air defense system is designed to add protection to those ukrainian cities certainly. and the ukrainians, i mean, brian, we got to tip our hat to them once again. they have had a fair amount of success against this avalanche of rockets and missiles and drones that the russians have been using to attack this cities. they are still penetrating. but their success is quite significant. and the patriots will add to that. >> brian: can patriots -- is it patriots stop drones and does is it cost effective to use these missiles to shoot down drones? >> they don't want them for drones. they want them for the missiles and for the rockets. >> brian: right. for the cruise missiles that are

coming in off of russian airplanes. that's what they want them for. and the -- they will be very effective to be sure. and there is other air defense systems that the ukrainians have already been given. nastams are there. we are have got to give them more. when it comes to putin's threat where he is implying the use of nuclear weapons again. i mean, let's look at it for what that really means. putin is doing everything he cannot to lose this war. his ground forces are losing it. is he making war on the people. is he building up forces in belarus with some of the forces he has mobilized. he has taken a huge political hit. mobilizing additional forces. and what he doesn't want to do, for sure, is expand the war to get the united states and nato in. which guarantees him losing the war. that's what happens if he uses a nuclear weapon. after 10 months, you got realize it doesn't make any sense. and what he is doing is fear-mongering here to try to

get the united states not to provide this assistance. the united states is committed to doing it and that's a good thing. >> brian: right. you say look out belarus. because from belarus you could try to take kyiv, ukrainians are keeping an eye on that real quick, could there be an offensive, another one from the ukrainians? we know they took kherson and kharkiv region back. is there a sense they are going to be looking to move forward again? >> yeah. there is no doubt about it. i mean, the ukrainians, we don't want to get into all the details of it, but certainly they are planning another offensive. the ground is freezing. so, it's very good for operational and maneuver warfare. they really want to move down in the zaporizhzhia, and that access. they wanted to do that initially. actually, we gave them some assistance in war planning, our generals talking to them through the details of that felt that they would culminate if they tried to do that all at once

every place because once they cross the rio grande and the feds say okay, check in, if you want to, in a couple of months. they are everywhere now. >> will: that's true. by the way, rachel, i think that tent city that you have visited has now been torn down. whatever money they put into that has been burned essentially and they moved it. virtuous cycle. this terrible cycle of really stealing money from the american taxpayer. hey, more on that in just a minute. to your point, it's interesting, on the one hand you are right. every state is a border state, steve. but, on the other hand, if you do live in a place that's receiving, i think the numbers are that el paso, for example, the city of el paso will be receiving 2,000 illegal immigrants a day. >> steve: right. >> will: when you have a situation like that and then you see new york with 30,000 total illegal immigrants asking for $1 billion, you say wow, must be really hard up there in new york city. but, you know, he is not the only mayor who has asked for a
