site committee. how do you think the biden administration is going to respond to the temporary pause by the supreme court? i think if being honest with themselves they would admit they don't want title 42 to end even though they advocate for it. >> i don't know that they do this is the biden open border policy and this is consistent where they have been from day one. over the past two years, this has turned the border patrol into the welcoming committee. they want more people to roll into the united states, and part of the social equality campaign, fundamentally to change america. they don't care what this cost the american taxpayers. they don't care what this does to the crime rate. all defense all defensible, human trafficking pouring into the country, they don't care. they want to continue to pander to the left wing to make appear they are welcoming, making this country open to anyone in the

world that wants to go there. so give my hats off to the attorney general who is doing the right thing and everything in their ability to try to do with this administration has failed to do. that is to secure the border with the one tool, the one tool that we have in the toolbox, title 42 to send people back to where they came from here it's been when i think it goes further. the state exposes the hypocrisy of the biden administration and forces them to put the money where their mouth is. on the one hand, we believe in the border and we want more funding for border security but it is also going to be forced to oppose title 42 in court for the whole world to see by 5:00 p.m. today. what is your take? >> well, that is a great point. everything is about more money for the biden administration. when they say the republicans haven't funded this, we would like to cut off all funding for everything and have a discussion about how to secure this border. there was no telling how much

they have cost american taxpayers on transportation cost, medicaid costs, food and clothing cost, public education caused from a costs. it goes on and on and on. we can't get near full accounting of what this over the cost. and then they have the nerve to stand up and say the republicans need to give them more money so they can do their job to secure the border? they don't want to secure the border. they want an open border. they will do everything they can to extract more money from the taxpayers of america. >> carley: "the wall street journal" is reporting the biden domestic the biden administration if ends, limiting asylum claims at the border but allowing people to apply for asylum in the country and flying here, which says a whole lot like something the former president former president trump was advocating for it. what is your reaction to that? >> well, president trump had the correct border policy. and the problem with the biden

administration trying to do both sides in this issue is there's no way to process all these people. the courts are back on. isis is back on. they don't have a full accounting near the number of people that have come across the border. if we have 15,000 people crossing the border every day, the federal government only has the capacity to process about 500 of those. that is at its best. so everything they have held back, if you think they have tried to justify, their position and failures on securing the border just won't hold up. this administration has created a crisis at the southern border. it is only getting worse every day, and we have to have what little tools we have in place like title 42 to send these people back to where they came from. at the very least, we need to let the border patrol do their job. the administration continues to tie the hands of the border patrol. as i said earlier, they turned the border patrol into the

welcoming committee. we need a military presence on the border and send a statement to the world we have a secure border and you are not allowed to come to the united states without filling out the proper paperwork and applying for citizenship like the law states. >> todd: congressman, to a topic you have been focused on, quite frankly, for years even though you didn't know the extent of it. the twitter files were released. this is fascinating. according to a new round of twitter files, there was an insane symbiosis between democrats and fbi and twitter. this whole kind of symbiosis at the highest level. so, i guess you guys get into the majority there in a couple of weeks, what are you going to do to further expose the elon musk on these amazing journalists, matthew the other guy have expose so far?

>> thank goodness for elon musk. he's been transparent and turn a great service to america. he has exposed a corrupt fbi. as i said in earlier interviews, i thought this was one or two rogue fbi employees going to twitter, that may be were liberal and just like donald trump for whatever reason they wanted to do to get joe biden in the administration. but what we have found out thanks to elon musk, there was a whole agency of 80 fbi agents. we learned they paid twitter over $3 million. this is just twitter. we haven't gotten to facebook, google and other platforms. nowhere has congress ever authorize the fbi to do anything like this. this is the federal government cinch dominic censoring free speech with taxpayer expense. this is wrong. the fbi does not have authority to do this, and they need to be held accountable. day one, twitter employees, we will get the truth, we will get

names, and we will know every employee involved in this. then we will bring the fbi in spirit at the end of this and as soon as possible, we can fundamentally reform the fda. to get new leadership at the top and try to put checks in balances in place to where this never happens again. >> carley: you mentioned those 80 agents working on aviation and misinformation entering mike schellenberg twitter release yesterday, he revealed that twitter executives repeatedly told the fbi that there was very little russian misinformation on twitter. and fbi agents are sort of pushing back, somewhat upset by that fact or thinking twitter executives may have been missing something. but if that is generally the case there was not a lot of russian it misinformation on the platform, how do you explain the 80 agents? who signed off on that? that cannot be the best use of their time or taxpayer money.

>> no, we have a crime crisis in america. this is the second biggest issue behind inflation with midterm voters and the crime rate. now, we learn we have beatty come at least 80 fbi agents assigned to try to find disinformation on social media platforms. the problem i have with all of this beyond the effect they did not have authority to do this, and this is a real example of deep state here, is the fact the fbi had the hunter biden laptop all along. they knew darn well it was legitimate. and they knew darn well there was information on there that was very damaging to joe biden's campaign for president. they knew that there was proof on there that showed the biden family had been influenced with adversaries over a decade. yet they went to the social media platforms and we have heard zuckerberg say facebook and we know they did it to jack dorsey at twitter. distance russian dips information. they lied to the social media companies and enforce them to

getting her way. and also business in the city i know you moved hayward 20 minutes away. how does the city treat business owners? >> horrible! they tax us like there was no tomorrow. they try to make up the difference of their losses. i'm trying to set up a business where people can take care of themselves and learn how to defend themselves from criminals, community watches and property to restore firearms. they are giving me so much grief. it is unbelievable the grief constantly coming over to ask for money. then they will tax us. we asked them, why are you texting me? please show me proof. and they cannot do that. >> todd: we mentioned a lot of workers never returning to their offices because of covid, but there is a few other factors playing. larceny up 10%, sold a percent, robbery 5%. crime is a big issue,

late, a.j.? >> certainly this has caused 5 million people to come into this country. the crime records are at record levels. and texas law enforcement. god bless the men and women of the u.s. border patrol. my recent visit there. the one thing that stood out, your ability to do your job in law enforcement. probably the ultimate hit that you can take on any basis on your own federal government to enforce the law as previously done and hand of the most stable order in 50 years by the trump administration and had to be given this. so, morale is lower than i have ever seen before with the men and women of the u.s. border patrol. >> carley: when you talk about title 42, it is a public health policy.

that shouldn't be only thing that keeps the board are secure. so if it does get repealed, what would go to a replacement policy and what would it be? >> go back to the rule of law. go back to the statutes have always said, go back to the titles of the human immigration act of 1986 and enforced the law. the border can become stable, but men and women know how to do it. as a matter of fact, our homeland security secretary alejandro mayorkas knows exactly how to secure the border because he did it behind johnson. so these are people that willfully, willfully have destroyed the system that has given us border security. so, this is all about anxiety and this is a sitting cabinet member of the president that has willfully done this to the

southern border. so these issues are theories. they impact people and fentanyl alone in this country, killing texans, killing americans in every state. >> todd: you know how it is by design, a.j.? but if you saw that sound bite by karine jean-pierre going into the segment the white house and democrats blaming republicans for not providing the funding. but a.j., we all know the reason they want that money is strictly that they can have more border agents on the border to process these migrants and get them into the interior sooner. it is not about keeping them out of the country. isn't that right? >> i have to agree with you. the fact of the matter is it's even worse. there is a hostile environment. we knew this would happen to arizona last week by dhs suing them over trying to do what they can to put a makeshift wall in

place. this is a hostile environment. this administration a gamble, willfully destroyed our border security and we are n that we've known for many years. in the funding and a serious nature and texas is trying to look into governor habit with attorney general paxton. these are good moves to restore a staple border in the united states. >> carley: so the white house's message is anyone at the border who is saying it is open is spreading this information for smugglers. but under biden's presidency so far 5 million people have been entered illegally. so essentially, it is your fault for noticing. what is your response to that? >> well, my response, sadly, my

response to the biden administration seriously is that american lives are not important. the agenda is far more important to bring as many people as they possibly can every single day into this country in any way, form or fashion. and they have completely aborted all of the laws that matter, interior enforcement that has been taken away. and border enforcement has been taken away. so every facet of border security by this administration, which is designed to bring people into this country either into the dead of the night with large payments to the nongovernment organizations. but it is just insanity and it is ludicrous where they would think the american public can't see the chaos and the war being done by these border policies that they insist on doing.
