trouble. >> the federal government, the biden administration, says they are surging resources to the border. what have you seen? >> i have heard and seen nothing. let me just say this -- over the last 22 months we have had absence, no engagement with the presidents, leadership in congress. this is like the forgotten border down here. what john ladd was telling you a minute ago, leased and united with our governor here doing everything we can to secure this border. >> steve, rachel, and brian, it's not just where we are. the warning all across the border in arizona and texas, as well, is that if title 42 is lifted, a bad problem is going to get worse. >> steve: no kidding. grady, great report from arizona. normally you'd be in chicago today during some of the coldest weather of the year, so good assignment for you. >> i dodged that! i'm not sure i'll be able to get home, though. >> steve: it's always

your perspective on the supreme court saying hold your horses, let's sort this out? >> i'm extrema concerned about what's about to take place at the southern border. i'm also really concerned for grady and that rancher, john ladd. i'm afraid they are committing one of the greatest sins in modern american society, indulging in misinformation that's probably helping out the cartel. they are pointing out the truth and pointing out the obvious. therefore, according to, for example, karine jean-pierre, that's doing the work for the cartel. i've talked to rachel about this, she knows. i can't believe this came from the mouth of the white house. i'm just reading this quote over and over. that if you are pointing out the obvious, saying that lifting title 42 would lead to opening the border, you are engaging in misinformation and "doing the work of the smugglers." that has become the case for pointing out the truth, which we just did, with grady trimble right here on fox news. >> rachel: speaking about

karine jean-pierre, she also says listing title 42 doesn't mean the border is open. listen to this. >> we know smugglers will try to spread misinformation to take advantage of these vulnerable migrants, but i want to be very clear here. the fact is that the removal of title 42 does not mean the border is open. anyone who suggests otherwise instantly doing the work of these smugglers who are, again, spreading misinformation, which is very dangerous. the border is not open and we will remove, using title 8, because by not being very clear on that we are doing the work of the smugglers who are going to put forth misinformation. so we want to be very clear on that piece. >> rachel: she says what's dangerous is not the open border, but the danger is saying it's open. >> exactly, rachel. the most dangerous thing right now is the use of the word "misinformation." it means you are on the right track. if someone suggests you are engaging in misinformation, you

getting closer to the truth. i don't know what you might have in front of you, but she said something else i found absolutely amazing. she said we asked for $3.5 billion in the are going to continue to ask congress, especially congressional republicans, to help us with what's going on at the border if they are indeed serious about doing that. she is saying its congressional republicans holding up solving the crisis at the border. she is saying to go things. i don't want to say she's committing misinformation, but... "democrats have had control of all levers of power for the past two years. if they wanted to solve the border crisis they could. how can you lay this at the feet of republicans? but second, here's how she does it. republicans won't engage in comprehensive immigration reform, meaning that we won't solve the border crisis unless you give a path to citizenship. you've heard that analogy, i'm sure. you don't start mopping until you turn off the faucet. if your bathtub is overflowing, you go upstairs, "oh, my gosh,

the bathroom is flooding. you don't pick up the mop first, you turn off the faucet first. she is saying she can't pick it up until you start mopping, and it's insanity. >> brian: you know it's a waste? it isn't just her. they are on the same page. they said from washington from the press secretary, then martha says that on abc almost verbatim in a question to the governor of texas. "don't you think you're making it worse talking about having open borders?" she said, "you are the one who keeps bringing up open borders." then we hear it from the democratic congresswoman on another sunday show. you were busy at the time. republicans keep bringing up open borders by pointing out everyone is coming across because you opened it up. that you are the problem. >> so you point out the truth, you're the problem. it is the tool, brian, that's

been used on far too many occasions the last two years. you sit here and you go, i mean, am i supposed to not draw the connections? if you point out any problems with mask efficacy, vaccine efficacy, any issue this administration has taken a stand on, you are engaging in misinformation. it's the biggest -- i guess i'm going to use this work now. oxford's most popular where did the year. it's the biggest gaslighting operation in american history. >> steve: it is upside down world. since you mentioned oxford, let's talk about what they're doing at stanford. what they have done is they've looked at the sweep of things in the oxford dictionary, and every dictionary, and come up with an index of language that is imprecise and damaging. so what are they going to do? on their websites and computer code, they want new replacement words. so instead of saying "american --"

and keep in mind standard is an american university. >> brian: we think. >> steve: to say "u.s. citizen." instead of "abort," "canceled," or "end." instead of "karen," demanding white women. they've got a list. >> to steve's point, they have a whole list, and they suggest we do away with black hat, black mark, black sheep, because of negative connotations with the word "black." any usage of the word black has a negative connotation? that sounds fairly racist to me. or do you save some use of the word "black?" what about "white?" what about "whitewash," is that negative? >> brian: i'm taking that badly. >> we should exercise that word, as well. it's a joke, it's become more than a parody. rachel is a child of the '90s as am i. or the '80s.

>> steve: a big cyclone area of low pressure prompting several airlines to offer early waivers for flights in and out of the midwest, suggesting maybe you can't go. >> rachel: fox weather, nicole valdes live in nashville with more. good morning. >> good morning, guys. unfortunately this could be a weather nightmare and ruin the holiday for millions of americans as this arctic blast could not just do that, but it could also really be life-threatening in some areas. dangerous blizzard conditions expected among below-freezing temperatures to so many states on the eastern portion of the u.s. we already know major airlines like southwest, united, and american have issued a travel alert encouraging travelers to change their flight to a different airport that may not be seeing some of the largest impacts of this arctic blast and potentially still make it home for the holidays. but we are already looking at hundreds of cancellations across

the nation. vancouver has now suspended all arriving flights because of how poor visibility is in that area, and places like seattle are already starting to see the slow snowfall, but we are also talking about major issues on hawaii's big island. we are looking at areas there that have seen hundreds of cancellations and delays just to that airport alone. so unfortunately this is already beginning early this week and those impacts are expected to trickle down into closer to christmas as we start to see that storm move over the planes into the northeast. it's not looking good. the best tip i can give you is to try to get out early, and try to have a backup plan if you're trying to get home for the holidays. >> rachel: thank you so much for that report. >> steve: a backup plan is a good idea. >> rachel: this isn't just a weather story, it's a political and economic story. very cold temperatures at a time when we are facing record heating costs.

>> steve: it been five weeks and still no announced suspect in the brutal murder of those four university of idaho students, and now the father of jonbenet ramsey urging local officials in idaho to learn from the mistakes the boulder police made in the unsolved murder of his 6-year-old daughter, who, 26 years ago this week, was found beaten and strangled in the basement of that home in boulder, colorado. and he joins us live right now. good morning to you.

>> good morning. >> steve: we will talk about the special eve taken part in for tubi in the moment. but as you look at what happened in moscow, idaho, and the police looking for the suspects trying to put it all together, what does your gut tell you about what they are doing? >> well, i don't know also so much about what they are doing, but i know based on our experience what the parents should be looking to be sure they are doing. first of all, where this tragedy happened, it's a small town. i think they had one murder for five years years ago. the police are not going to be experienced to deal with that, and they don't have the resources to deal with it. boulder failed so miserably in our case where they refused help that was immediately offered to them by other agencies that did have experience.

denver offered them to cohomicide detectives, full-time, at their disposal, and they said, "no, we don't need it." so you can't let arrogance coupled with incompetence halt this thing. they've got to say, "look, we need help, let's get it from where we can get it." there's lots of help available. the way the system works in our country, for the most part, we have 18,000 police jurisdictions. each one is a little island of authority. if a crime happens on that island, it is the police chief's responsibility. if he doesn't ask for help, help cannot come in, which is really silly, but, but honestly it works. in our case, boulder refused help, and continues to do so today. >> steve: and you want a private lab to do some dna testing. as we look back at the last 26 years, and it was 26 years ago, a lot of people suspected the

family was involved. but you and your wife, patsy, were exonerated. we have a clip from that, and the special on tubi. watch this. speak of the parents' names were cleared after patsy's passing away, which is unfortunate for her. >> we had lots of friends that supported us. and for me, the exoneration, i was appreciative, but it wasn't a celebration moment. it was, "okay, let's really get on with finding the killer." >> steve: and that's the key in your case, too, john. while it was ruled a homicide, nobody was ever prosecuted. >> right. there's things that can be done. in our case, that's what we are asking to be done. dna technology has advanced dramatically in the last 26 years, and we are just asking

♪ ♪ >> rachel: welcome back to "fox & friends." actor and producer kirk cameron claiming victory over two public libraries that denied him story hours, but have since reversed course. the faith-based children's book, called "as you grow," has been denied by over 50 community-funded libraries across the country, including ones that hold drag queen story hours. kirk cameron's journey is next. congratulations on your book. despite the efforts by these libraries, it's flying off the shelves and the subscriptions are doing very well. congratulations on that. it is still shocking to hear that you can have libraries that are publicly funded that will hold drag queen story hours but they won't have your lovely book about bible values for kids. they won't let kirk cameron give a story hour, but now you have a victory. tell us about it.

>> well, it's just a testament to what a little persistence can do. rachel, i want to start by just reminding everybody of a quote from noah webster, who was one of our founding fathers and also the father of american education. he gave us webster's dictionary, and he trained five generations of american children and how to spell with his famous blueback spellers. he said this. "biblical wisdom and the fruit of the spirit is the most important and one of the first things in which children of free republics like ours ought to be instructed." that's why i wrote this book about love and kindness, gentleness and self-control. i'm thrilled to finally be partnering with some of these libraries who have agreed to reverse course. they have changed their mind and how they will give me space to read these beautiful principles to children within their community. we will be going to new york and

"amen." if you prayed that prayer, call that number. >> brian: the supreme court stepping into key title 42 in place for now as leaders from 19 states, including our next guest, send an emergency bid warning against ending it. text senator john cornyn is a ranking member of the citizenship and border safety subcommittee. you have a reprieve for now. what is your sense? this is as bad as it has ever been statistically, and in your lifetime, can you put it in perspective? >> it's never been this bad and it's entirely predictable. this is something the border patrol talked to me about a year or more ago, including during the previous administration. what happens when this public health title 42 eventually goes away? it is proven to be one of the most effective tools that the

border patrol has to return people to their home country who aren't claiming asylum. so the biden administration knew this was coming and apparently has what they say is a secret plan. but i think the secret is they have no plan. >> brian: 7,000. they expect 15,000 illegals a day. there was a crisis with president obama at 2,000. he fixed it, got it low again, but now we are 88,000. will it take for every democrat to understand this is not in the interest of our country? >> i was hoping the midterm elections might send a strong message that this is intolerable and the american people weren't going to take it anymore. unfortunately fox seems to be one of the few stations that actually broadcasts the reality on the ground. thank you for that. more people need to pay attention and we need to have some people get retired here in congress who are unwilling to step up and deal with this,

including the white house. >> brian: i want to go over to the second story, and that social media and the role the fbi is playing. at least one major outlet, twitter, spending $3.4 million trying to suppress foreign entities and our 2020 election. it turns out all they were doing was squeezing stories that made president biden look bad. your thoughts? >> this is not the role of the intelligence community, including the fbi. the fbi is supposed to be looking for foreign adversaries and trying to influence our elections or cause disinformation or collect espionage in the united states. that's their appropriate role. but this ongoing relationship with social media companies attempting to censor some information and allow others to go through, it does indicate a bias, and it's wrong. it's not the role they should play and it's undermining confidence in the legitimate
