5:00 pm
frontline, from everyone who is evading victory. standing here today, i standing here today i recall the wars of president frankly delano roosevelt. which is so good for this moment. the american people and they are -- >> you're watching special fox news coverage of president zelensky's coverage to congress and we turn attention to the ukraine and the man we're funding with the tax dollars and consequences must be more profound that people understand is still going and that speech is expected to wrap up in a moment and we think it's important you hear it. we'll be back in a moment. >> i know everything depends on us, on ukrainian armed forces yet so much and so much -f the
5:01 pm
world depend on you. when i was here yesterday, our here rows gave me -- heros gave me the flag, the battle flag, the flag of those that defend ukraine, europe, and the world at the cost of their lives. they ask me to bring this flag to you, to the u.s. congress, to members of the house of representatives and senators and decisions that can save millions of people. let these decisions be taken and let this flag stay with you, ladies and gentlemen. this flag a symbol of our week three in this war. we stand, we fight and we will win because we are united. ukraine, america, and the entire
5:02 pm
free world. [ applause ]. gee arkansas doowop more thing, may god protect our troops and brave citizens and protect the unit of america and merry christmas and happy victorious new year.
5:03 pm
[ applause ]. tucker: no one has address congress in a sweatshirt but they love him more than you. sam bankman-fried showed number washington wearing a t-shirt and spouting nonsense describing him a hero. the media, congress, the white house all love this weird little guy called bankman-fried? remember that? we were reminded when the president of ukraine arrived at
5:04 pm
the white housedressed like the manager of a strip club and demanding money and no one threw him out and did whatever he wanted and american taxpayers will continue to give zelensky whatever he demands for "as long as it takes". biden never specified what it is as long as it is to do what? push the russian army back to preinvasion borders and sounds reasonable and most assume and those still paying attention and that's not what zelensky means and it is not what he's asking for. zelensky demanding regime change in iraq and russia and libya and the heart of land mass next door to entire civilized world. that's what he's called for repeatedly and every dollar sent to him is to no end. what happens if he wins and what does the ensuing chaos look like? thought about that? who secures the largest arsenal
5:05 pm
and strangely they didn't come up today and visit more stable and wise decisions much teloses help america at the bottom of the list. the point was to fawn over the ukrainian strip club manager and hand him billions more dollars from our own crumbling economy. it is hard and in fact may be impossible to imagine a more humiliating scenario for the greatest country on earth. we would love to blame joe biden for it, but we can't really, not entirely at least. this was bipartisan masochism. the june party is alive and well -- unipar fio is alive and well.
5:06 pm
not since young fidel castro showed up in battle tees and love a man in uniform, what a hunk and strong and decisive. look at mitch mcconnell's face and can almost see the giggles. no person would have predicted this moment. if you were a republican office holder and zelensky came to washington, maybe you would for a moment ask him about his current and ongoing war against christianity in ukraine if you were mitch mcconnell and john cornyn and your voters go to church on sunday. they might care. mcconnell and cornyn didn't say a word and you'll not hear a word on television tonight about the fact that zelensky banned an entire ancient christian religion in ukraine and seized churches and thrown priests in jail. mcconnell hasn't left the office
5:07 pm
since the 1980s and it's what most want above all. they don't get enough and they're begging for it. watch mcconnell explain. >> providing assistance for ukrainians to defeat the russians, that's the number one priority of the united states right now according to most republicans. that's sort of how we see the challenges confronting the country at the moment. tucker: two other senators stand behind him defeating putin is the number one priority on republicans and mitch leading in the senate. number one? before the own economy and own children's schools or for that matter before the more than 2,000 young people killed last year in fentanyl in mitch mcconnell's home state of kentucky.
5:08 pm
>> we'll be providing ukraine with missile batter and training forces to be able to accurately use them. tucker: he's reading his little script and maybe written by the defense contractors and hosting them put logos on there and wouldn't know from the media coverage of it. average routineer washington like zelensky more than you. nobody asked about it but this is a major policy change. it was just a few months ago a
5:09 pm
senior u.s. defense official said and we're quoting, there's no discussion about putting a patriot battery in ukraine. in order to do that you'd have to put u.s. troop withs it to operate. are you for that and most important thing and more important than your nephew dying of fentanyl? yes, mitch mcconnell but just the beginning. zelensky arrived in washington to make more demands. the demands become bigger. in case you missed it, here's part of what you said. >> financial assistance is also critically important, and i would like to thank you, thank you very much, thank you for both financial packages you have already provided us with and the
5:10 pm
ones you may be willing to decide on. your money is not charity but the investment in the global democracy that we handle in the most responsible way. tucker: the leader of the foreign government walks in in a sweatshirt and demands your money and says it's an investment. what's the return and goal and justification for it? is there a historic debt to ukraine and animosity with non-soviet russia? no no. how do we win and what's for us and isn't this our country and where do you get off talking to us and do we hate ourselves so much, do we have so little respect for the united states of
5:11 pm
america that we put up with that and applaud it. thank you, sir, may i have another in what's wrong with us and our leaders. where's this going. glen gr greenwalled and joinings with more. demand money and say it's not charity and no one knows the point of the money. what's the goal? did you know? i don't. >> how will you or your family's lives be protected or fostered by sending tens of billions of dollars in excess of $100 billion to the war in ukraine except for the tiny amounts of people that own stock in the weapons manufacturers that have done extremely well from the war, how have americans benefited in any way? amazing thing, tucker, you'll
5:12 pm
never even hear any of these people mitch mcconnell and chuck schumer. this week, millions of our own citizens, american citizens are set to lose their medicaid coverage, health coverage when they and their kids get sick because we can't find $1.7 billion to extend it and yet we're about to send another $44.5 billion to fund this war in ukraine, and mitch mcconnell said the number one goal of the republican party is to treat russia as an enemy? donald trump won the primary in 2016 and 2020 based on the argument that russia is not our enemy and we have no reason to treat it as such so the entire question that needs asked is who is this benefiting and the answer is everyone but the american people. tucker: this makes me worried for america because you can get a gap between the priorities of
5:13 pm
the leadership and population that it's so vast and the country is unstable. government does dumb things but for mitch mcconnell to say everyone agrees but everyone is out there and people are teetering 234 the country and that makes me think they're dangerously out of touch. >> we've been talking about what seems to be theoretical and remote story and big tech showing the flow of information from the united states and working in partnership with the u.s. security state to do it. here's a concrete reason it's so disturbing because, you know, the emotions he plays on with the u.s. government and u.s. government plays on them is very real and we like to think they're doing things to fight off tierney and good emotions that the american government is manipulating and one of the reasons they can do that so easily is because they control the flow of information and prevent anyone from asking these questions. people got banned from the internet for the kinds of decent
5:14 pm
and debate. tucker: republicans and democrats seem seized by emotion and where are the wise people making decisions in the long-term interest of the united states? i didn't see any of them. >> yeah, i was thinking the same thing as i was watching this speech, and it really is kind of the manifestation in front of our very eyes of a whole lot of hypocrisy and you have the biden
5:15 pm
administration's whole foreign policy based on democracy and hitoxy and divide the world between the two categories and the u.s. will lead the court and jury for democracies to defeat the hi hitocrocy and biden says we'll do everything in our power to support him and oh, by the way, we'll send almost almost $100 billion of taxpayer dollars to support this defensive democracy and look at what zelensky's democracy is, you see no freedom of the press. he's shut down any media he does not control and his government does not control and got political opposition arrested, made sure that's happened as you mentioned, he shut down the bigger christian church in the country and threatened to punish
5:16 pm
any christian worshiping in any ways. this is the democracy they're saying we need our moneys and go and defend and shining example of democracy and no surprise happening here at home, tucker, and no surprise seeing the political and power elite so easily willing and undermine the freedoms and more nor themselves. tucker: people of congress can know they're arrests christian priests and seizing churches and banning nominations. it's not scientology. it's ancient denomination. how did they endorse this? >> shows a pure dereliction of duty on so many members of congress from both party who is are so hooked into and controlled by the war machine in
5:17 pm
washington, the military industrial complex that they will sit there. they've took a pledge to uphold the institution and support and defend the safety, security and freedom of american people and they're clapping and cheering on their guy and using fancy words like democracy and freedom and not looking at the facts of what's going on and have no idea where our taxpayer dollars are going and as you said, could not define what is our objective that serves the interest of the american people. it's scary and worries me. congresswoman tulsi gabbard. thank you. >> thank you, tucker. tucker: they're funding border security in places like ukraine, tens of billions, tunisia, lebanon. the $1.7 trillion spending bill that's about to pass the congress, which is by the way
5:18 pm
the first long-term spending bill i think ever passed in a lame duck session. that bill specifically outlaws funding to improve our border property technology. how infuriating is that and as a consequence of the policies delivered and open our boarder and deliver more. both parties embrace that. over $100,000 died in the last year from drug ods and entire cities changed forever. the night happening in el paso. el paso is right on the mexican border. they've always been a really nice town. not a rich city, a middle class city full of nice people. completely safe. in 2010 when the city across the border had thousands of murders, el paso had five. very stable orderly place. now it's completely overrun by foreign nationals and not from mexico but around the world and they're sleeping on the floor of the airport. that's the airport in el paso. from august to december of this year, more than 80,000 migrants have been released by the
5:19 pm
federal government into neighborhoods in el paso. that's more than ten% of the total population of the city of el paso. that's just the migrants the government caught and released. you can't know the actual scale of what's happening here, of this invasion. millions and millions and moms of people. local officials are obviously overwhelmed, a lot of people are leaving el paso who are from there, the mayor declared a state of emergency. here's a recent commercial from el paso. >> others are going under bashed wire put up by texas national guard. all part of an ongoing surge of illegal border crossings here and coming just as the biden administration is asking the supreme court to lift a pandemic border restriction known as title 42. a move border officials say would send the number of illegal border crossings soaring even higher to record 10,000 per day. in el paso, officials say they're facing a humanitarian
5:20 pm
crisis. >> it's about 33 degrees here in downtown el paso where migrants are sleeping and huddling together for warmth. >> officials saying city resources are maxed out, and they're pleading for federal help. tucker: we know why the administration is doing this and trying to change the population of the united states and it's absolutely working, better than anyone ever imagined. for really two years now we've asked why is texas allowing this. don't mess with texas. texas is being messed with in a very big way. the governor of texas, greg abbott won reelection by opposing open boarders. last november said he'd deploy 10,000 national guard troops to the border and fix the problem and keep foreign nationals out. we have laws but the number of deployed troops was nowhere near that around 5,000 and texas national guard has about 20,000 troops so we've asked maybe 15 times on the air, where are the soldiers to stop this and save the rest of our country?
5:21 pm
on tuesday greg abbott did deploy a small number of national guard members on the rio grand and formed a line and blocked dozens of migrants from former a line on the other side. the border patrol stayed behind the national guard and couldn't process the migrants and release into the united states. the truth is greg abbott is a governor of maybe one of the most important states and commander of the military forces and could order the national guard to the border and hasn't. weave needled him on the show and asked why. tonight he's agreed to come on and explain that. governor abbott, thank you very much for coming on. very clear question: why two years ago not say i'm the governor of texas. they're missing with texas, i have a military force i demand called the national guard and we're going to block the border and save the country. why didn't you do that and why aren't you doing that now? >> sure. tucker, i'll fully answer your question but first i have to
5:22 pm
follow up on your earlier comments and that is when you look at the decision aster on the border, call it to joe biden if texas or just the border region got one penny for every dollar spent in ukraine, we'd be able to secure our border in that budget that congress is about to pass, they're giving money to tunisia but not to texas. but to be clear, tucker, about your direct question to me, there's a very easy and direct answer to it that you can find out if you go through my twitter account, you'll see about five or six days a week we're posting images of what our national guard is doing on the border. they didn't just begin in el paso. during the entire time that joe biden has been president, we've had thousands of national guard on the border constantly. first, let's do the math based upon what you laid out. what i don't have 19,000 national guard at our disposal. the reason is because texas leads all states in the country in having our national guard
5:23 pm
deployed to regions across the entire world and so thousands of our national guard are actually in other countries atd this time. others have just returned from deployment. that said, over the course of the past two years during operation lone star, we've had up to 10,000 and they sign up for one year tour of duty service under federal department of defense national guard and one year of active duty and get five off. most people's who's time expired for service, we're able to keep them on and have thousands on and bill melugin shown on your
5:24 pm
sewn -- tucker: absolutely but still millions of foreign nationals all brought here by the mexican drug cartels managed to come in to the tune of 5 million more, we don't know. millions and millions have come in through texas. and so first you said a lot of guardsmen are abroad and were you boasting or seeing that as proverse they'd be helping other countries -- perverse while helping other countries than our own? >> i'm saying it as a fact that texas has more of its guard called up to active duty service to serve the united states of america, which they're proud to do. it's just a fact. tucker: wouldn't defending our own border from an invasion of millions of people be the single most important thing a american can do, particularly a american under arms whom you control? >> well, those here in texas, again, we've deployed up to
5:25 pm
10,000 of them. the only reason it would not be more and that is there's some that retire every single month. some who are resigning from service -- >> tucker, we're the greatest state of america. everyone i know think texas is the best. you're the governor and say every person with military and law enforcement experience can join up. we're starting our own force, it's volunteer or just go to midland, dallas and houston and get donors to fund it, they would. i'd send you money and everyone would and we'll stop this on behalf of the state of texas and the unit. you could do that. the biden people would back down in the face of determination. why not? >> tucker we on board new members every single month and go through that recruiting process as well as people signing up. they on board and go through the training process and they get ready for deployment and then we deploy them. we are constantly involved. in adding to those that service
5:26 pm
on the border. they get special training that's different than what they have to do in the state of texas compared to what they may do in afghanistan. tucker: do you see this as a hair on fire emergency more important than anywhere else around the world and see this as the most important thing these guys should be doing? >> tucker, i've made that point to the united states congress asking for more resources so that we can better defend our border knowing that the federal government is not defending our border. the only people capable of doing it would be texas. what is texas getting? nothing from the federal government. tucker: people would send you money. if you started up a voluntary fund, people would send you money and probably put you in their wills. if you took control and closed the border, which you can do, you'd be a folk hero sung about by future generations around the cayman fire. once again, texas takes a stand against the invasion.
5:27 pm
>> you can terrific, let me tell you we've done -- tucker, let me tell you we've done that. i want you and your audience to know that today we begin putting up more border wall. texas is the only state to build our own border wall. we start add fund called borderwall.tx -- i can't remember the rest of it. we'll get it up for you. we have a fund that people have given money to for texas to continue building the border wall in addition to the billions of dollars -- understand this, tucker, the state of texas is coming out of our pocket to the tune of $4 billion to secure the border. not the federal government's money. tucker: yeah, i think the long-term cost of allowing this trump any cost of preventing it. i appreciate your coming on tonight, governor. thank you very much. >> sure. tucker: jim tuck set a pro wrestling legend and when intruders broke into his home he
5:28 pm
didn't wait for federal money, he defended himself in a very admirable way.ere we'll explain how, next. >> tucu
5:29 pm
5:30 pm
5:31 pm
5:32 pm
5:33 pm
watch pro wrestle, you know jim duggen and watch him on tv and think that man looks pretty tough but is he really tough? it's kind of an act. what is he really like? now we now. earlier duggen was with his wife at home in the country in south carolina and they heard a man banging on the door. the man burst inside duggen's home and said he was trying to hide from other people trying to kill him. duggen grabbed the man and threw him back out on the porch and grabbed his . .44 magnum and waited till police arrive. a american defending his home without federal assistance. jim, appreciate you coming on. i don't know if i contractized that exactly right.
5:34 pm
tell me what happened. >> tucker, we live out in the country on a dirt road and have about 10-acres and everything is fenced in and have a big gate. we leave the door open most of the time and let the dogs and cats in and out during the evening. i'm sitting there watching tv and all the sudden the pounding on the door and i jump up as i get to the door and the doors burst open and guy falls in because it's a step to get into my house. he false in and switch back to old time days like rowr and grab him and throw him on the front porch, spread eagle on the porch and reach in and of all the guns to have inside and use to scare off the coyotes and foxes from my ducks and chickens is my .44 magnum and it's a pretty intimidating gun and he's on the ground in spread egoand will he's screaming help me, help me they're trying to kill me. now i'm thinking this is not a home invasion because i first checked the backdoor to make
5:35 pm
sure nobody else was coming in and that was my first impression was a home invasion and saw no one else come in and pushed him down and screaming other guys are coming to kill him. i can hear people on the dirt road yelling we're going to get you so i had my wife turn off all the christmas lights where i'm back lit and holding him down and got my gun and said nobody knows we're up here, be quiet. my wife is on the phone with 911 almost in hysterics and were blood pressure was way up and said send the fire department and send the ambulance and send everybody. all the kershaw county sheriff's department responded and they were great. but, tucker, as quick as it happened, it wasn't quick enough. people aren't happy to see a cop till you need one, buddy. i'm tanning on the porch with a gun in my hand and two men yelling and i don't know who they are and if they have guns or what this guy brought to my house so i'm waiting for the police. when i first saw those blue lights, i was a happy man.
5:36 pm
>> tucker: he must have been a little surprise that had he broke into your house of all people. did you get the back story? who was this guy and who were the other people? >> come to find out our dirt road, there's like five or six houses and the guy had a restraining order against him for a young girl at the end of the road. he broke into their house -- i guess it was her brother and uncle. i don't know what the combination was but two men had pistols and pistol whipped him, chased him down the road and every house he went to he pounded on the door, help, let me in. nobody let him in till he got to our house and climbed over the fence and lost his shoes and broke into the house. thank goodness, tucker, i didn't have a gun when he first came through because i thought he was an invasion. first came through and went back and wrestled him and threw him out of the house and then grabbed the big 44 magnum. >> tucker: what are the odds
5:37 pm
he stumbled into the home of like a legendary pro wrestler. probably pretty well. >> probably the small town of south carolina and you can live anywhere at least you're near a major airport. i use the charlotte airport and we love living in the country. girls call it my hobby farm and have ducks and chickens and dogs and c cats and to have someone make it to the door was a shock and have them breakthrough the door was a whole different deal. >> tucker: so for viewers who aren't professional wrestlers, no history of it, which is most, what would you recommend if someone breaks into your house? >> well, first thing is fight or flight mode you go into. i think some people, which would be the right decision and go to a safe room or run to another house or neighbor. my first instinct was to attack. you got to do what you feel is properly right. but the first thing you got to
5:38 pm
do is call the cops and call the police. tucker, my heart was pounding through my shirt and got this guy spread eagled and people yelling on the dark road and terrifying ordeal and i'm waiting and waiting and waiting and it probably wasn't that long. but all the sudden you see the blue lights flicker and it was like the cavalry was coming. >> tucker: awe maizing. weirdly -- amazing. weirdly amusing and great. jim duggan, thank you. >> i'm old school wrestling, you might want to do one with me. let's go, tough guy. usa. usa. >> tucker: i can't pull it off but love when you can. i'll do it in private when one no is watching. jim, say hi to your dogs for us. >> thank you, buddy. >> tucker: christmas is coming in a few days and we have a present for you. i can take no credit for this whatsoever.
5:39 pm
it's the geniuses on the producing staff that did that . part of tucker carlson's original on fox nation and part of what they made for you. >> it's time, ladies and gentlemen, for your favorite christmas game. what did joe just say? >> think about what you'd think about at the time, barack and i think it's a right for people to have badder character. >> repeat the line. >> leading effective strategy to through the economic depression. >> america is a nation that can be defined in a single word, [inaudible]. >> look -- >> whether the aliens
5:40 pm
are here or not. >> it's not about -- i know my physical as well as mental fitness. i'm joe's husband. this is my wife and sister. they switched on me. >> why doesn't he act just like a president? that's a stupid way of saying it. >> you know, donald trump -- >> sorry. >> go ahead. >> no, no, i probably best i don't. >> well, i'm sick and tired of smart guys. it is what it is because he is who he is. >> tucker: it's out right now
5:41 pm
on fox nation and recommend for levity's sake. january 6 "committee" is always a political operation, of course a lot of people fell for it and should be ashashamed and now thr plan is to arrest donald trump. what's weird is they don't want ray epps arrested even though it's rayon video not donald trump commanding people to go into the capitol? why is that? someone arrested for being in the vicinitity might have some idea about that. we'll speak to him straight ahead.
5:42 pm
5:43 pm
5:44 pm
5:45 pm
5:46 pm
>> tucker: january 6 committee is still pretending it is work is part of legitimate legal process and all totally normal and not extralegal and grue
5:47 pm
teskying and assault on the norm and designed to stop trump from running for president against the whole point in day one. now the site of doj prosecuting trump. okay, you know what's going on here. transparent. what's interesting is even in standards and they're not sending referral about ray epps. remember ray, he's the guy on video multiple times unlike trump urging people to storm the capitol building. >> let's go! we need to go into the capitol.
5:48 pm
>> tucker: the types declared if you know what he said, you're a dangerous conspiracy theorist and don't want to up anyone's life and the guy was on tape multiple times telling people to go into the capitol and never sent to jail and neither did go to jail and then adam kin singer himself -- kinsinger thanked ray epps and you're not a conspiracy theorist if you have that question. really? it's not some sort of op then what is it? after january 6 instead of talking about the obvious questions, why did they let people into the building instead of asking how -- what exactly was ray epps doing and decided to go after people for nothing. nbc called brandon strock. >> those closer to trump and in the outer circles, all appeared
5:49 pm
to have been smart enough not to commit the federal crime and storm the capitol live on television. this is the exception. now there's a guy that was there and rallying the day before. >> tucker: it wasn't insurrection and not all propaganda and stopping with your grandchildren losing that insurrection and losing that filter. you saw the tape and we wanted to hear about this and we're happy to have him join us now. brandon, thank you for coming on. it's the opinion to storm the capitol and this derailed your
5:50 pm
life. >> absolutely. my case has been bizarre since every january 6 case has been bizarre and the entire pipeline around one fbi agent that went to one magistrate in dc and requested an emergency odder tore have me arrested. it was based off of eight minutes that i stood outside of the east side of the capitol on january 6 shooting a video the whole time i was there and the full five feet away from the doors of the capitol, i never went inside and was shoot ago video. i up loaded it to twitter to my audience to see the document i was shooting that day and two and a half weeks later an fbi agent in tactical gear raided my home and put me in handcuffs and took me to jail and that's when i found out i was facing two felony cha charges and a misdemr
5:51 pm
and charges based upon me by one fbi agent and it began as a never ending two yearlong nightmare that ripped my life apart. >> tucker: we sat down for an hour and you described it's not an understatement. if the media piled on and lied about you. >> there are about 25 pages of google semper results and google my name and the domestic terrorist and insurrectionist as a violent that create as civil war and was encouraging violence on january 6 and my lawyer and i have a strategic plan to file a number of lawsuits against multiple media organizations because we're fighting back. i'm standing up and basically saying i'm no longer taking anymore crap for january 6.
5:52 pm
the first that we're going after is ari and chris haste of nbc. he said i broke into the capitol on january 6 which in fact i never entered and ari said to matt schlap on air that i confessed to trying to help attack police officers on january 6. one of the next steps i'll take with the lawsuits is i'm going to go after media organizations that have referred to me as a convicted inspire hope electionist. my goal with this is -- insurrectionist and we have about 1,000 americans charged with misdemeanor trespassing and going after media organizations that referred to them as insurrectionists? >> tucker: a thousand people? >> a thousand people charged for january 6 and doj looking to charge about 3,000 more people. >> tucker: pure insanity. pure insanity. >> absolutely. >> tucker: but ray epps is
5:53 pm
cool according to adam kin adam kinsinger. thank you for coming on and telling us your story. >> thank you. >> tucker: just for perspective, u.s. congress about to send millions more to $1.7 trillion and that's more than 4,000 pages and most people have no idea including most in congress and north carolina congressman dan bishop went through the whole thing. it's like the most infuriating thing i've seen. congressman, i appreciate you doing that and coming on now. we probably should have had three hours but we don't. give us the the highlighted. and it's hard to boil it down and this is the way washington works and system in washington and what the uni party wants to do and if you include all the billions and $1.8 trillion over
5:54 pm
4800 pages including the de-trail of the american people, more for ukraine, 11 billion for the fbi before we've had a chance of the first witness to see what they're doing in terms of censoring speech and harassing americans. half a billion dollars more than the biden administration asked for, $400 million for a new fbi headquarters. you know, they have the provision in billion five and omitterring funds for customs and border patrol is prohibited from being used for security of the american border but millions for the border security of certain middle eastern countries like egypt and it's just amazing what they've done. betrayal by republican senators and mitch mcconnell and republican senators. >> tucker: it's a middle finger in the face of americans and i'm grateful you did that. congressman dan bishop, whose twitter feed you should look at.
5:55 pm
thanks for coming on, dan. >> thanks, tucker. >> tucker: more news straight say head.
