stunning internal emails revealing that employees with accessing private data user's accounts. two journalists at buzzfeed and financial times are among those impacted. "times" reports some of its staffers were tracked as well. tiktok employees tracked multiple journalists covering the company improperly gaining access to their i.p. addresses and user data in an attempt to identify whether they had been in the same location as bytedance employees. >> tiktok parent company telling fox news they, quote: condemn this misguided investigation that seriously violated the company's code of conduct. we have taken disciplinary measures and none of the individuals found to have directly participated in or overseen the plan remain employed at bytedance. tiktok is now scrambling to regain trust new security deal with the u.s. in an attempt to keep the platform under chinese ownership.
