winter weather advisories across the region. but the two most concerning is the blizzard warning and the windchill warning we are currently under. that means when you walk outside you can get frostbite in a matter of minutes if you have exposed skin. unfortunately for today we might not have much relief. it may not get over 0 degrees, i'm told, but we should see temperatures warming up throughout the weekend. christmas eve, we will get up to 4 degrees, and christmas day we should get up to 7 degrees. when you consider negative 11, that maybe a heat wave, guys. >> brian: think about this, the vikings used to play outdoors and always made the playoffs. and the allen page days. >> carley: is that supposed to make her feel better? >> will: all she is thinking is "stop talking so i can go back in the van." pt i genuinely love your scarf. you look beautiful! our hearts go out to you. >> will: it almost covers her entire face to get back in the

in doing this unbelievable scenario. then, guys, if we look at the travel nightmare that is ensuing across the country, let me pulll up that full-screen here. the delays on the cancellations all around america. look at this, total delays right now approaching 10,000. cancellations just today approaching 6,000. and total cancellations within, into, or out of the u.s., well over 3,000. we look at o'hare international airport, and they are starting to see some major problems there. over 140 flights canceled and 15 flight delayed. i've got to take those delays and the flights are going to be even more than that. and back here live on the streets of chi-town, where i originally hailed from, i have to say, they've got a weekend ahead where it's going to be vey

low temperatures with windchill that is terrible, but that's nothing compared right now to what's happening over by you guys. rockaway beach in new york in the new york metro area. jeez, the system creating coastal flooding and some of the streets are being inundated by the water as people wake up and try to make their way to work, or perhaps last-minute shopping. we remember during super storm sandy, years ago, that area flooded terribly. we hope you don't see scenarios like that. it keeps tallying up. 750,000 people in 20 states right now in the u.s. are out of power. that's not good. and to think, there are parts of the country of greenland right now, parts of greenland that are warmer than chicago and minneapolis. unbelievable system, guys. >> brian: right, and we could have bought greenland. trump wanted to buy it.

>> brian: border patrol sources have revealed to fox that this fiscal year the account has topped half a million, while the white house still has not officially released the latest numbers for november. why is that cannot griff jenkins broke the news this morning, and here he is with mark. griff? >> hey, brian. these numbers are jaw-dropping. consider this, and just the past 84 days in the new fiscal year began on october 1st with title 42 in mind, by the way,

border patrol hasn't had a more than 575,000 migrants. you see it here, of which nearly 170,000 were expelled under title 42. more than 397,000 were released. that's almost 400,000. if you look just at the el paso sector alone, we keep seeing these images of massive groups pouring across the border despite the frigid temperatures. they surpassed 150,000 encounters yesterday in just that sector. this is an extended crisis trajectory. look back at last year's record numbers, the first three months combined was roughly 518,000. finally, the number that bears out the real humanitarian tragedy of this crisis is there have been 86 migrant deaths so far this fiscal year. that's two more than the number of days it has been since october 1st. president biden, who reportedly got so angry behind closed doors

have november numbers? >> it's all political. everything was it administration does has a political calculus. they didn't want to release the numbers because they knew the on the bus was coming up. if they would have released the numbers come he would have seen a larger push to get border security funding in that omnibus. that's what this demonstration does. they don't care about the american people, they care about politics. >> brian: what are the provisions for border patrol? >> there is none. let me take that back, there's a small hiring of 300 agents, but that doesn't matter, because he can't meet our hiring quota. last year we weren't able to meet the 1700 agents that we were supposed to hire. we hired about 200 less than that. so we can't even meet that quota as it is. that law enforcement across the board, throughout the entire nation. again, he comes back to politics. >> brian: it comes back to the politics, and the president of the united states losing his temper about the border? i can't even fathom that, because he did all this. he undid everything trumpeted.

it is still on the move. if you're out in front of where the cold areas, this is been a so good for you. the heaviest rain continuing to lift into interior new england. on the backside of the system it continues to be nothing but big heavy snowfall. cleveland is still seeing it, pittsburgh, detroit. we are watching this still drift off towards the east. if you haven't seen that cold air yet, it is still going to come. winds and winter weather alerts continue to be high after the west of the system. 50 miles an hour. any snow on the ground is still going to be drifting, still going to lower visibility and make driving dangerous for the rest of the day. i do want to leave you with, maybe you felt like you live in new york city or anywhere along the east coast and you been dodging this really cold air. it's coming. it is about to change this afternoon by tomorrow morning. you wake up in the temperatures will be down in the teens or single digits. cold air is still on the way. those are your weather headlines. back to you. >> will: frozen solid coast-to-coast. thanks, adam. those frigid temperatures are

leading to bitter electric bills, as well. jumping up $2 a barrel head of the holiday weekend are the oil prices. here to break it down, fox business contributor phil flynn. i'm looking at the futures up over $2 a barrel in most cases. what does it mean for people at home as they buckle down for this freeze? >> they better buckle down their wallet, because they are going to be shelling out more money because of the storm. pretty much across the country, when you look at the cold temperatures we are seeing, it is increasing the demand dramatically. this is what happens when you get these record cold snaps. this comes at a time where supplies are already below average for heating fuels, just about in ma every major categor. you see the prices go up. when it gets cold, not only does it affect demand, it could affect production. when it gets too cold, pipelines start to freeze, and oil producers -- it's that perfect winter storm that really creates
