tv   The Ingraham Angle  FOX News  December 23, 2022 7:00pm-8:00pm PST

7:00 pm
left. i want to say merry christmas and happy hanukkah. thanks for having us in your homes. before i go, i want to remind you to watch "get tammy bruce" exclusively on fox nation and read my column at amac.us. thanks for tuning in. stay tuned for "the ingraham angle" with jason chaffetz. >> welcome. i'm jason chaffetz for "the ingraham angle." it's time for the airing of grievances, festivus. >> hey, happy festivus, everyone! >> the tradition of festivus begins with the airing of grievances. i got a lot of problems with you people.
7:01 pm
now you're going to hear about it. >> and you're going to hear about mine. first up, joe biden calling for unity. >> our politics has gotten so angry, so mean, so partisan. too often we see each other as enemies. >> let me remind you, this is the man that accused half the people in this country of being semi fascist. that's the guy that wants the cumbaya moment now that christmas is here and santa is watching. then there's his policies which have basically sent our economy in to the toilet. >> and the indications that we see would point to a recession sometimes in the first to three to six months of next year. >> the greater risk is that at some point in 2023, the economy
7:02 pm
will head towards recession. >> a recession is very much likely in the coming 12 to 18 months. >> while we're getting repeatedly warned about the coming recession, biden is on twitter bragging that gas prices are down a few cents, even though they're still up nearly a dollar from when he came in to office. >> tucker: and the omnibus business, you'llhead about it by now. 4,100 pages, 7,200 ear marks totalling $15 billion. the senate and the house have officially passed it with 18, 18 senate republicans and nine house republicans voting for this monstrosity. distributely disgusting. then you get to the border where a big old welcome mat is laid out. we just got new record-breaking numbers tonight. for the month of november, there were 233,740 migrant encounters.
7:03 pm
that doesn't include the got-away. you can get a look how bad it was. last november, the number was less than 175,000. but that was a 33% increase. joining me now is florida congressman byron donalds and mike huckabee, the former governor of the great state of arkansas. gentlemen, thanks for joining us here tonight. governor, i want to start with you. first of all, merry christmas. joe biden, unity. i'm just not buying it after two years of what we saw happen. >> yeah, merry christmas to you, jason. and to the congressman. it was just amazing to watch him say that. this is the guy that went before independence hall, essentially denigrated half the country. he said those that reported republican, trump supporters, that we were dangerous people. this is insane.
7:04 pm
then he tries to pretend that he's mr. unity. he's the guy that not only has been after republicans, but he goes after many government employees like the border patrol agents when he talked about how horrible they were. when they were on the horses. turns out what they did was fine, this is not a unifying president and it's a real tragedy. the greatest tragedy, jason, is the media. they let him get away with it. they never call him out, ever. >> yeah, no, there's no accountability, no challenge. they just let it keep sailing by. congressman, i want to talk about the omnibus. it just happened. you know, the appropriations bills are supposed to be done by september. democrats have the house and presidency. senator koonce didn't know what was in the bill but he voted for it. >> you ever look at it and say, we've overdone it?
7:05 pm
>> well, joe, i voted for the omnibus and i'm proud to support it but i don't like the process. i don't know exactly what every other member of the senate has put in the bill. >> congressman, this is the problem. nobody could have possibly read it. it's more than 4,000 pages and less than 48 hours to look at it. >> i'm telling you right now, nobody read this bill. this was something that was shoved down our throats. four or five people negotiated what was in it. staffers wrote it in the midnight hours. we're told do this or the government will shut down. we sent another $45 billion to ukraine. no accountability whatsoever. we're spending $400 million to secure the border for seven countries in the middle east. but in the same bill, there's a prohibition of any money that goes to homeland security from being used to actually enhance border security here in the
7:06 pm
united states. so we're saying expressly, no funding of border security here at home but we're going to do it for seven other countries abroad. it was a terrible deal. listen, it's the holiday season. christmas is here. what makes this worse is that you had senate republicans that cut a deal with joe biden and with nancy pelosi when they didn't have to. that's the one thing that is so outrageous about it. >> yeah, they needed to get to 60 votes. only could do it with republicans. they could have waited two weeks until the cavalry was coming over the hill and the republicans were controlling the house. nope. that's not what they did. i have to move on. there's another grievance governor. kamala harris is reportedly complaining that the media doesn't adequately cover "the strength of her leadership." she said the media would cover her differently if she was a white man. what is your reaction to the
7:07 pm
vice president's comments? >> well, if she was a white man, they would have covered her differently but ex-scorated her for word salad speeches that she gives. the saddest thing where she takes a word and cycles it over and over within a 50-word phrase is just embarrassing. the truth is somebody wrote that speech for her. she didn't just give it on the cuff. taxpayers are on the hook to pay somebody to write speeches that are honestly worse than a third grade student counsel speech. it just incredible. she should be grateful that the press isn't paying that much attention to her because if they were, she would really be in trouble. >> great point. congressman, you're just finishing a first term. you've seen it up close and personal. when i came into congress in 2009, nancy pelosi was the speaker. guess what? same plan. wait until about the december 23 to pass out this monstrosity of
7:08 pm
a bill. same plan. not an accident. but what is your impression after two years there in the congress? >> washington is completely broken. the members don't even legislate. they're not sitting around crafting out what appropriation bills looks like. the biggest miss conception for the american people to understand is that there's bells that are embedded the clocks all through the capitol. when the bills ring, that's when everybody knows it's time to head to the floor and vote. instead of legislating, we spend our times pushing buttons. it's a joke. congress has to be reformed. the committee process has to actually work again. members need to have actual debate and actually deal with these legislative inappropriative appropriation topics in a timely manner. we shouldn't be waiting until the week of christmas on how to fund the government. we should be doing that work starting in february and march so when it comes time for next september, the bills are written and we know where we're going to go. you can make adjustments later
7:09 pm
down the line. it's not working for americans. that's why voters continue to be frustrated whether they're republicans or democrats. they're frustrated that washington isn't getting the job done and i can tell you after two years, the way this place works, it's an atrocity and it doesn't work. >> governor, do you have anything to add on to that? i have a few seconds here. >> a few seconds? that's all it will take. amen. let's put byron in some form of serious leadership. what he just said, every american is saying go for it. so yes. amen and amen. >> thank you. >> thanks, governor. merry christmas to you, too. >> merry christmas. >> you're the kind of guy we need more of. >> amen to that. the good thing is nancy pelosi gave her final speech. i have to cut off this segment by letting you hear what she had to say on her way out the door.
7:10 pm
>> i urge strong bipartisan vote. i yield back the balance of my team and hope you have a happy healthy and safe new year. happy hanukkah, whatever it is your celebrate. >> happy kwanza? thank you. you heard my grievances as far as the d.c. swamp goes. i have more the get to like this. >> i'm going to be sergeant hartman, your drill instructor. the first and last words out of you filthy maggots are sir. do you understand that? >> sir, yes, sir. >> sir, yes, sir. that could soon be turning into person, yes, person. if these woke recommendations go through for the marine corps.
7:11 pm
a brand new report but the university of pittsburgh suggests deemphasizing gender by losing gender specific salutations for drill instructors. the army navy and coast guard deemphasized agendaner an integrated environment. instead of saying ma'am or sir, recruits in these services refuse to their drill instructors using their ranks or roles followed by their last names. gendered identifiers prime recruits to think about our visually search for a drill instructor's gender first before their rank or role. joining me now is person charlie kirk, president of turning point usa and person horace cooper, project 21 chairman and author of "put ya'll back in chains." gentleman -- i shouldn't say that. people, persons, thanks for joining us here tonight. charlie? help me here.
7:12 pm
there's nothing worse than trying to go woke in the united states military. >> yeah, it's the few, the proud and the genderless, i suppose. you know, i deal with a lot of college campus at turning point u.s.a. something i've been warning is what happens on college campuses does not stay on college campuses. the woke mind virus will go down as more dangerous long-term than the lab virus leak from the wuhan institute of virology. this infects every major sector of seesity from wall street, financial institutions and now the military. it's easy to make fun of this. mockery is therapeutic. it's very dangerous. makes us less prepared to fight enemies and going against the ccp. if our military is concerned with readjusting or changing how they address -- how about you guys are worried about protecting taiwan against the chinese taking it over.
7:13 pm
this is another example of how wokism destroys everything it touches. >> yeah, horace, i heard rob o'neill, the guy that helped take out osama bin laden. our military is trying to figure out which bathrooms to use instead of winning wars. that's the problem. now you have religious institutions looking at trying to -- getting pressured to take and change out christmas carols for goodness sake what is happening in this country? >> i want to echo charlie's comments about the danger involved here. we are in the middle of a regroupment crisis. we're having real challenges maintaining the numbers of new entrants to the military as well as getting people to reup and make a lifetime career out of it. the truth of the matter is that service in the military is noble. it's something that we should
7:14 pm
really, really strive to acknowledge and to appreciate those people. what the wokesters are saying is that our military is made up of people who are not modern, who are not competent, who are not capable. i guess for some reason they forget that even if you're in the military first full time, you still step off base and interact with other human beings. when you go on leave, you interact with other human beings. why must the military, which needs to prioritize defending our country, maintaining our vigilance and telling our leaders from the generals all the way down to the infantry that they need to be ready for battle if battle presents itself. why must we waste time instead of recognizing whatever societal
7:15 pm
trends that there might be happening, they can still see them when they're on their own time. this is dangerous. it's a waste of time. >> yeah, let's make sure we can do much the pushups and get the people recruited in there before they start doing -- changing everybody's name and whatnot and being so politically correct. charlie, another grievance that i have is the lionization of president zelensky. have a look at this. >> this was historic. some people have compared it to when churchill came. >> zelensky is very much acting in the churchillian tradition. >> what could be a churchillian moment. >> most comparisons have referenced another war team leader, winston churchill. >> charlie, your thoughts. >> yeah, as a fond admirer of winston churchill, this is an insult. he was the greatest figure of the 20th century. my personal charged feelings the ukrainian war aside, we can all agree, 80 to 90% of americans
7:16 pm
agree that the fact that we're prioritizing and standing ovation, special halls of congress ceremony for a foreign leader while we're being invaded daily on our southern border is an insult to all of us. i would add that to your lest of festivus airing of grievances that can only be sorted through the feats of strength. hopefully our leaders will listen to our borders and prioritize our borders, not that of a foreign country. >> amen to that. merry christmas. thanks for joining us. i wish i had more time. my next grievance comes from the form of anthony fauci and his latest warning to americans. dr. peter mccullough is here. and speaking of warnings, china sent one to the biden administration. gordon chang is here to explain. that's coming up. stay there. my a1c stayed here, it needed to be here. ray's a1c is down with rybelsus®. i'm down with rybelsus®.
7:17 pm
my a1c is down with rybelsus®. in a clinical study, once-daily rybelsus® significantly lowered a1c better than a leading branded pill. in the same study, people taking rybelsus® lost more weight. rybelsus® isn't for people with type 1 diabetes. don't take rybelsus® if you or your family ever had medullary thyroid cancer, or have multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2, or if allergic to it. stop rybelsus® and get medical help right away if you get a lump or swelling in your neck, severe stomach pain, or an allergic reaction. serious side effects may include pancreatitis. gallbladder problems may occur. tell your provider about vision problems or changes. taking rybelsus® with a sulfonylurea or insulin increases low blood sugar risk. side effects like nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea may lead to dehydration, which may worsen kidney problems. need to get your a1c down? you may pay as little as $10 per prescription.

7:20 pm
7:21 pm
>> jason: well, welcome back to this special festivus edition of "the ingraham angle." next up on the grievance list, people that don't know when they are past their prime. like anthony fauci. >> we're doing much, much better now than we were doing a year ago. i'm concerned that we're -- we
7:22 pm
might get complacent. we're not out of this yet. >> jason: what a wonderful holiday message. dr. doom has been on a never-ending retirement tour for what seems like weeks. he's had no shortage of dire warnings for america. the latest one says we're living in an anti science era and that it's a very dangerous thing when dealing with a pandemic. joining me now, dr. peter mccullough, epidemiologist and author of "the courage to face covid-19." what do you think? we're in an anti science era as dr. fauci would argue? >> you said the word anti-science is a pejorative. it's disparaging. it has no role in clinical science and doctors are furious to hear this word. it's been put forward by dr. hotaz at baylor in houston. what it is doing is its trying
7:23 pm
to take an intimidation tactic where it's trying to obfuscate clean discussions, fair balanced discussions on vaccine and safety and efficacy. fauci and the public health officials had their chances through 2022. on january 24 and december 72, 2022, they were invited to face me and doctors in the u.s. senate and failed to show. they also failed to show on a congressional hearing lid by chip roy, dr. martin, and dr. scott atlas. they're trying to avoid confronting discussing the data with respected colleagues. >> jason: you know, look, you're a very accomplished medical or the. i'm not. but when i hear dr. fauci in such a role, listen to what he had to say about masks along the way. >> when you're in the middle of
7:24 pm
an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel better and might block a droplet. it's not providing the perfect protection people think it is. >> if you have a physical covering with one layer, it makes common sense it's more effective. that's why you seem people double masking and doing a version of an n-95. >> jason: that's why a lot of us looked at him and said i don't think he's driven by science. he's driven by politics. >> he hasn't been trusted throughout the pandemic. the cdc says we only need to wear masks when we're coming with face to face with is one with covid. it doesn't stop transmission. it does stop large drop let spread. these statements over time made him look foolish. >> jason: i think it's been
7:25 pm
malpractice in the congress. they didn't do any hearings about the origins of covid-19 or no hearings or a discussion on a host of things. why didn't the cdc author or try to push forward and do an actual study to figure out what the efficacy of masks were? they could have done it a few years ago and we'd be in a better place today. they didn't do that. >> i agree. plenty of opportunity to study strategies of contaga control. masks have all failed as a general measure. what worked, the use of intranasal sprays with dilute hydrogen peroxide. the cdc and nih missed the boat. they focused on masks. they should have focused on the sprays for the nose. >> jason: well, i have to tell you, my personal opinion, dr. fauci should have moved on a long time ago. he started in that position,
7:26 pm
that role there back in 1968. he's been on this retirement tour for a long time. he should have been dismissed a long time ago. thanks, doctor. my next grievance is china. why do we continue to do any business with them? they lied to us on covid, they're committing genocide. president xi is practically best friends with vladimir putin. we learned that bite dance, the chinese owned parent company of tik tok is spying on u.s. journalists. today the ccp issued a warning to the united states about bullying them. the chinese foreign minister reportedly telling the secretary of state blinken in a phone call that the united states must not continue the old routine of unilateral bullying. you must pay attention to chinese legitimate concerns, stop curbing their development hand not constantly challenge china's red line in a salami
7:27 pm
slicing way. here now is gordon chang. he's author of "the great u.s. china tech war." gordon, you're so good on china. give me your impression, your thoughts on this latest revelation in these rhetoric coming out of china. >> first of all, china doesn't have legitimate concerns. as you say, it is committing genocide, crimes against humanity. it deliberately spread covid-19. that's 6.7 million on the side of kline that have died from a disease that should have never left the central part of that country. we could go on and on. clearly china is engaging in a series of acts which are destructive not only towards the united states but the international community as a whole. oh, by the way, chinese leader xi jinping thinks he's the world's only legitimate ruler
7:28 pm
and moon and mars are part of the people's republic of china. it's inconceivable that we're dealing with china in a way that we have. >> jason: it doesn't appear as if president biden is taking a tough stance. is it enough? are we speaking the right language so to speak to china to have them say hey, wait, we better not mess with the united states? it was certainly that way under president trump. the waters were calm because they understood where donald trump stood. >> yes. and what biden is trying to do is he's trying, as he says, to find areas of cooperation with china. because of that, we're not promoting our own interests. we're not defending our own country. you pointed out that biden has had these five phone and video conferences with xi jinping and one in-person chat last month at the g-20. he's never raised the issue of the origins of covid-19.
7:29 pm
that's 1.1 million americans that have been killed by this disease. that's an abrogation of his sol len duty, which is to defend the united states from foreign attack. biden just uses the wrong language, he's not raising and not defending the united states which is an abomination. >> jason: and what to read of tik tok? they're pretty entertaining videos. they're fun. but they're used as a spying mechanism. that's the allegation. there's been more action in the states than in the federal government. >> yes. well, president trump banned tik tok along with we chat. president biden, one of the first things he did is he reversed that ban. tik tok has been making representations to the u.s. about how it doesn't allow data to be send to china and violated
7:30 pm
every single assurance that they have given to the u.s. it's not just stealing data. it's more serious that it's using the tik tok algorithm to disseminate chinese propaganda. glorifying drug use, promoting violence on american streets and this year disseminating russian narratives about the ukraine war. so this really is an attempt to undermine and actually overthrow the u.s. government. why we have permitted it, i don't know. india banned tik tok. we should do the same thing. >> jason: yeah, we haven't begun to talk about fentanyl and all of these things flowing in. thanks, gordon. all right. festivus is still going on. next, i take on magic mushrooms and the golden state. harmeet dhillon and herb schlicter are here, too. things could get crazy. stay where you are.

did you get a call or message that mentioned social security that made you feel threatened or scared?
7:35 pm
that is not the social security administration. social security will not: threaten you; press you for personal information; or demand instant payment. social security does not accept payments by gift card, prepaid debit card, internet currency, or by mailing cash. criminals use these forms of payment because they are hard to trace. don't fall for it. hang up. ignore them. report this criminal activity to oig.ssa.gov produced at u.s. taxpayer expense. calvin got diagnosed june 10 of 2018. he has rhabdomyosarcoma, a soft tissue cancer. but st. jude has covered everything. and coming here, they're like, we are going to do everything we can. and when they say everything, they mean everything. st. jude is the gold at the end of a rainbow for a family like ours. they've really given our family hope. and we are so grateful and thankful for everything.

>> jason: what is wrong with california? that's my next grievance. i was born in california. democratic leaders are practically destroying it from within. listen to what they are doing this week. state senator scott wiener just introduced a bill to decriminalize the possession and use of certain psychedelic drugs like magic mushrooms. if wiener's name sound familiar, these the guy that tried to make california a sanctuary for minors trying to get gender affirming car. there's the reparations push for black residents. california would pay more than $223,000 per person. buts that parentally not enough. >> the tangibles of what i'm asking for is $350,000 per black american in california that's

eligible, lands 15 to 20 acres. >> $200,000 is nothing for what my family contributed to this country. >> 15 to 20 acres. wow. some of my favorite california stories happened to be about san francisco toilets. one was proposed to cost $1.7 million for one. the other was heralded as the future of public toilets except it reportedly broke down after three days. californians are making it clear that they're sick of the misguided policies. the wasted money, the rampant crime, the homelessness. for the third straight year the state's population shank more than 300,000 people who moved out. joining me now is harmeet dhillon, california rnc committee woman ands will, herb schlicter for town hall media.
7:38 pm
harmeet, let's start with you. what in the woke world is wrong with california? i don't know that we have enough time in the day to go through everything. give us your top line grievances. >> thanks for having me. when you look at the whole state of california, it's a red state. it's this blue looney strip where kirk and i live that is doing these crazy things. we're driving so many people out that we lost a congressional seat in the restricting. i live in san francisco. it was a beautiful city, pleasant to live and work in. the last few years, it's unleavable. the poop on the streets, the needles, the drugs. scott wiener is my representative in the state senate. 1.7 million could buy you two median homes in california. instead, it's buying nonfunctioning toilets. the lunatics are running the asylum here. unless we republicans get strong and take back these places,
