tv The Ingraham Angle FOX News December 24, 2022 12:00am-1:00am PST
12:00 am
the time we have left this evening. i want to say merry christmas and happy hanukkah and thank you for having us in your homes. and i appreciate being able to sit in this chair. my thanks to shawn and his team . before i go, i want to remind you to watch get tammy bruce exclusively on fox nation. you can also read my column at amoc us . thank you, everyone, for tuning in tonight. stay tuned right now for the laura ingram show with jason chaffetz. >> welcome . i'm jason chaffetz, in for laura ingraham. and this is a special edition of the "ingraham angle" . it's december. twenty third festivus, which of course means it's time for the airing of grievances. happy festivus, everyone. the tradition of festivus begins with the airing of grievances. i got a lot of problems with your people, so you're
12:01 am
going to hear about it. >> and you're going to hear about mine. first up, joe , biden calling for unity. >> our politics has gotten so angry, so mean, so partisan, and too often we see each other's enemies. i sincerely hope this holiday, this holiday season will drain the poison that has infected our politics and set us against one another. >> but let me remind you, this is the man who accused half of the people in this country of being semi fascist and says our country is steeped in racism. that's the guy who wants to have this big kumbaya moment now that christmas is here in santa is watching. but then, of course, there are his policies, which basically sent our economy into the toilet. all the indications that we see would point to a recession sometime within the first three to six months of next year. >> i think the greater risk is that at some point during
12:02 am
2020 three , the economy will head towards recession. so recession is very much likely in the coming 12 to 18 months. >> while we're getting repeatedly warned about the coming recession, biden's on twitter bragging that gas prices are down a few cents, even though they are still up nearly a dollar from when he came into office. >> and the omnibus bill , while you've heard all about it by now. forty one hundred pages, one point seven trillion dollars, seventy two hundred plus earmarks totaling roughly 15 billion dollars. >> both the senate and the house have officially passed it with 18 18 senate republicans and nine house republicans voting for this monstrosity. >> absolutely disgusting. then you get to the border where big a welcome mat is laid out. we just got brand new record breaking numbers tonight for the month of november. just november, there were two hundred and thirty
12:03 am
three thousand seven hundred and forty migrant encounters. that doesn't include any cutaways. so you can get an idea of how bad it actually is. last november, the number was less than one hundred and seventy five thousand, but that was a thirty three percent increase. well, joining me now is florida congressman byron donalds and mike huckabee, the former governor of the great state of arkansas. gentlemen, thank you so much for joining here tonight. governor , i want to start with you. first of all, merry christmas. joe biden, unity. i'm just not buying it. >> after two years of what we saw happen. merry christmas to you, to jason and to the congressman . it was just amazing to watch him say that this is the guy who went before independence hall and essentially denigrated half the country and said that all of us who voted republican , who were trump supporters, that we were a threat to democracy, that we were dangerous people.
12:04 am
this is insane. and then he goes and tries to pretend that he's mr. unity, but he's the guy that not only has been after republicans, but he goes after many government employees like the border patrol agents when he talked about how horrible they were when they were on the horses. turns out what they did was perfectly fine. but this is not a unifying president and it's a real tragedy. but the greater tragedy, jason , is the media. they let him get away with it. they never call him out ever. >> yeah. yeah, there is no accountability, no challenge. and they just let it keep sailing by . congressman, i want to talk about the omnibus. it's just happened. you know, the appropriations bills are supposed to be done by september. democrats have the house, the senate, the presidency. but i want you to listen to senator. >> senator coons didn't even really know what was in the bill, but he voted for ever look at it and say we've overdone it?
12:05 am
>> well, joe , i voted for the omnibus and i'm proud to support it. but i don't like the process. i don't know exactly what every other member of the senate has put in the bill. >> congressman, i mean, this is the problem. nobody could have possibly read is more than 4000 pages. >> he had less than 48 hours to look at. listen, i'm telling you right now, nobody read this bill . this was something that was shoved down our throats about four or five people negotiated most of what was in its staffers, basically wrote the thing through the midnight hours. then we're told, hey, you got to hurry up and do this or the government is going to shut down. and here's the problem with this. >> you know, we've sent another forty five billion or so to ukraine. noah, accountability whatsoever. we're spending 400 million to secure the border for seven countries in the middle east. but in the same bill , there is a prohibition of any money that goes to homeland security from being used to actually
12:06 am
enhance border security here in the united states . so we're saying expressly no funding of border security here at home, but we're going to do it for seven other countries abroad. it was a terrible deal . and listen, it's a holiday season. christmas is here. but what makes this worse is that you had senate republicans who cut a deal with joe biden and with nancy pelosi when they didn't have to . that's the one thing that is so outrageous about it. >> yeah, they needed to get the 60 votes. they only could do it with republicans. they could have waited two weeks till the calvary was coming over the hill and republicans were controlling the house. >> but no, that's not what they did. all right. i got to move on because there's another grievance here, governor , that i want to address with you. >> kamala harris is reportedly complaining that the media doesn't adequately cover, quote, the strength of her leadership, telling confidence last year that the media would cover her differently if she was a white man. what's your reaction to the
12:07 am
vice president's comments? well, if she was a white man, they would have covered her differently. but they would have excoriated her for the word salad speeches that she gives. you know, the saddest thing about her speeches, where she takes a word and cycles it over and over within 50 word phrase, it's just embarrassing that the truth is somebody wrote that speech for her. she didn't just give it on the cuff and taxpayers are on the hook to pay somebody to write speeches that are honestly worse than a third grade student council speech. it's just incredible. so she should be grateful that the press isn't paying that much attention to her, because if they were, she'd really be in trouble. >> now, a great point, congressman. >> you're just finishing up your first term. you've seen it up close and personal. when i when i came to congress in two thousand nine , nancy pelosi was the speaker. guess same same plan. waited till about december. twenty third to pass out this
12:08 am
monstrosity of a bill, same plan, not an accident. >> but what's your impression after two years there in the congress, washington has completely broken. the members don't even legislate. they're not sitting around crafting our appropriation bills look like the biggest misconception the american people to understand is that there are bills that are embedded in the clocks all through the capitol. and when the bells ring, that's when everybody knows it's time ahead to the floor and vote. and instead of actually legislating, we spend our time pushing buttons. and it's a complete joke. congress has to be reformed. the committee process has to actually work again. members need to have actual debate and actually deal with these legislative an appropriate appropriation topics in a timely manner. we shouldn't be waiting until the week of christmas to figure out how you're going to fund the government. we should be , frankly, doing that work starting next month. february and march, so that when it comes time for next september, the bills are basically written and we know
12:09 am
where we're going to go. you can make some adjustments later down the line, but it's not working for americans. and that is why voters continue to be frustrated, whether they're republicans or democrats. they are frustrated that washington isn't getting the job done. and i could tell you that the two years, the way this place works is a atrocity and it doesn't work. >> governor , do you have anything to add on to that? i've only got a few seconds here. a few seconds is all it will take a man. let's put byron in some form of serious leadership. what he just said, every american is saying, go for. >> so, yes, a man and a man. thanks. appreciate that. well, merry christmas to you. too. >> merry christmas. you get the one good thing is amen to that. >> now, the good thing is nancy pelosi gave her final speech and you got to cut off this segment by letting you hear what she had to say on her way
12:10 am
out the door. >> i urge strong bipartisan. i vote. i yield back the balance of my time in which everyone a happy, healthy and safe new year. happy holidays. merry christmas. happy kwanzaa. happy hanukkah. >> whatever it is you celebrate . happy happy swans. happy kwanzaa. whatever . all right. congressman donald's, governor huckabee, have a wonderful merry christmas and happy new year. >> thanks for joining us . all right. you've heard my grievances as far as the d.c. swamp goes, but i have a lot more to get to like this. >> i am gunnery sergeant hartman, your senior fruchter. from now on , you will speak only one i've spoken to . and the first and last words out of your filthy sewers will be served. >> you magots. understand that, sir? yes, sir. yes, sir. well, that could soon be turning into person. yes, person. >> if these wolke recommendations go through for
12:11 am
the marine corps. a brand new report by the university of pittsburgh suggests deemphasizing gender by losing gender specific. salu stations for drill instructors. >> the report commissioned by the corps, says the army, navy and coast guard effectively deemphasize gender in an integrated environment. instead, of saying ma'am or sir, recruits in these services refer to their drill instructors using their ranks or roles, followed by their last names, gendered identifiers, prime recruits to think about or visually, visually search for a drill instructors, gender first before the rank or roll. joining me now is person charlie kirk, president of turning point usa and person horace cooper, project 21 chairman and author. put them put y'all back in chains, gentlemen. i guess i shouldn't say that. people, persons. thanks for joining us here tonight, charlie.
12:12 am
help me here, because there is nothing worse, i think, than trying to go woke the united states military. yeah, it's the few, the proud and the genderless. i suppose you look, i deal with a lot of college campuses. the work we do at turning point usa and something i've been warning for the last couple of years is what happens on college campuses. not stay on college campuses. the woke mind virus will go down as more dangerous long term than the lab virus leak from the institute of virology. this infects every major sector of society from wall street financial institutions and now the military. it's easy to make fun of this. in fact, i think mockery is very cathartic and therapeutic because there's nothing else we could do. but it's very dangerous. this makes us less prepared to fight enemies, less prepared to go against the ccp if now our military is concerned with readjusting or changing how they address drill sergeant. how about you guys are worried about, i don't know, protecting
12:13 am
taiwan against the chinese communist party, taking it over this is another example of how woke ism destroys everything it touches. >> yeah, horace, i heard rob o'neill. he was the guy who famously helped take out osama bin, and he said, you know, our military is over there trying to figure out which bathroom is everybody should use instead of trying to figure out how to win when wars. and that's the problem. and now you even have religious institutions looking at trying to and getting pressured to take and change christmas carols. for goodness sake, what is happening in this country? well, i want to echo charlie's comments about the danger involved. here we are in the middle of a recruitment crisis. >> we are having real challenges, maintaining the numbers of new entrants to the military as well. as getting people to read up and make a lifetime career out of it. the truth of the matter is that service in the military is noble. it's something that we should
12:14 am
really, really strive to acknowledge and to appreciate those people. what the jokesters are saying is that our military is made up of people who are not modern, who are not competent, who are not capable. >> i guess for some reason they forget that even if you're in the military first full time ,you still step off base and interact with other human beings. when you go on leave, you interact with other human beings. why must the military, which needs to prioritize defending our country, maintaining our vigilance and telling our leaders from the generals all the way down to the infantry that they need to be ready for battle if battle presents itself? why must we waste time instead of recognizing
12:15 am
whatever societal trends that there might be happening, they can still see them when they're on their own time. this is dangerous and it's a waste of time. yeah, let's make sure we can do enough pushups and get the people recruited in there before they start doing, you know, changing everybody's name. and whatnot and being so politically correct. charlie, another grievance i have is the lionization of president zelenskyy. i have to look at this. >> this was historic. some people have compared it to when churchill came. zelenskyy is very much acting in the churchillian tradition. what could be a churchill moment? >> most comparisons of reference to another wartime leader, winston churchill, charlie, your thoughts? he has a fond admirer of winston churchill. i mean, this is an insult to anyone who studies history. winston churchill was the greatest figure of the twentieth century. my own personal, very charged feelings. the ukrainian war aside, i think we can all agree on ,
12:16 am
in fact, 80 to 90% of americans agree that the fact that we are prioritizing and standing ovation special halls of congress ceremony for a foreign leader while we are being invaded daily on our southern border is an insult to all of us . i would add that to your list of festivus airing of grievances that could only be sorted through the feats of strength of hopefully our leaders will soon listen to their voters and prioritize our borders, not that of a foreign country. >> amen to that. and charlie, merry christmas. thanks for joining us . i wish i had more time, but i got to keep going. >> all right. my next grievance comes in the form of anthony fauci and his latest warning to americans. dr peter mccullough is here on that. plus, speaking of warnings, china just sent over one to the biden administration and asked to do with salame. gordon chang is here to explain. that's coming up. >> stay there. life asks a lot from you.

12:21 am
12:22 am
a year ago. but i'm concerned that we might get complacent because we're not out of this yet. >> what a wonderful holiday message. dr. doom has been on a never ending retirement tour for what seems like weeks, and he's had no shortage of dire warnings for america. his latest one says, we are living in a progressively antiscience era and that it's a very dangerous thing. when dealing with a pandemic. >> joining me now is dr. peter mcculloh, epidemiologist ,cardiologist and author of the courage to face covid-19. >> dr. macall, what do you think are we in an antiscience era as dr. fauci would argue, the use of the word antibiotics is a pejorative. it's disparaging. it has no role in clinical science and doctors are furious to hear this word. you know, it's been put forward by dr. hotez at baylor in houston and now tedros at whl. and fauci.
12:23 am
and what it's doing is it's trying to take an intimidation tactic where it's trying to obfuscate clean discussions, fair, balanced discussions on vaccine and safety and efficacy. fauci walensky and the public health officials had their chances through 2020 to january twenty fourth. and then on december 7th, 2020 two, they were invited to face me and doctors on unknown panel in the u.s. senate and they failed to show they've also failed to show up in a congressional hearing led by chip roy, dr. martin caldara, jay bhattacharya and scott atlus. so the use of the term antiscience, they're using this in a sense to avoid confronting discussing the data with respected colleagues. >> you know, look, you're a very accomplished medical doctor . i'm not. but when i hear dr. fauci in such a role, listen to what he had to say about masks along the way.
12:24 am
>> when you're in the middle of an outbreak wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet. but it's not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is . >> so if you have a physical covering with one layer, you put another layer on . it just makes common sense that it likely would be more effective. and that's the reason why you see people either double masking or doing a version of an in ninety five . >> this is why i think a lot of it's just looked at him and say, i don't think he's driven by science, he's driven more by politics. he hasn't been trustable throughout the pandemic. he should have stuck with his first statement. the cdc says now we only need to wear masks when we're coming face to face with some of covid doesn't stop transmission of the virus that does stop large droplets spread. but these statements over time is really made herself look foolish. >> well, i think in malpractise
12:25 am
there in the congress, because they didn't do any hearings about the origins of covid-19. they haven't done hearings or any other discussions on a host of other things. >> and why didn't the cdc authorize or try to push forward and do an actual study to figure out what the efficacy of mass , where they could have done that? >> we could have done a few years ago and we'd be in a better place today. >> but they didn't do that. >> i agree. there was plenty of opportunity to study study strategies of contagion control. 12 studies masks two and covid-19 a recent one with ninety fives, masks, of all failed as a general measure. but you know what worked was the use of intranasal virus sidel sprays on . i don't hydrogen peroxide, 12 studies, three large randomized trials. the cdc and nih missed the boat. they were focusing on masks. they should have focused on virus. seidl sprays for the nose. >> well, i got to tell you, my personal dr. fauci should have moved on a long time ago.
12:26 am
he started in that in that position that rolled there back in nineteen sixty eight . and he's been on this retirement tour for a long time. should have been dismissed a long time ago. dr. mcculloh, have a wonderful holiday season. thanks for joining us tonight on the ingram angle. >> all right. my next grievance is why do we continue to do any business with them? >> they lied to us on cova. they're committing. president is practically best friends with vladimir putin. we learned yesterday that bite dance, the chinese owned parent company of tick-tock is spying on us journalists. and today the ccp issued a warning to the united states about bullying them. the chinese foreign minister reportedly telling the secretary of state, blinken, in a phone call that the united states must not continue the old routine of unilateral bullying and we must pay attention to chinese legitimate concerns, stop curbing its suppressing its development and not constantly challenge china's red line in
12:27 am
a , quote, salami slicing way. >> here now is gordon chang. he's great stone institute senior fellow and author of the great us china tech war. gordon, you're you're so good on china. tell me give me your impression, your thoughts on this latest revelation of these this rhetoric coming out of china. >> well, first of all, china doesn't have legitimate concerns. >> it's not a legitimate state. and we should stop treating it as such because as you say, it is committing, crimes against humanity. it deliberately spread covid-19 beyond its borders. that six point seven million people outside of china who have died from a disease that should never left the central part of that country. >> you know, we could go on and on. but clearly, china is engaging in a series of acts which are destructive not only towards the united states , but the international community as a whole. and oh, by the way, chinese leader xi jinping thinks
12:28 am
he's the world's only legitimate ruler. and that moon and mars are part of the people's republic of china. >> i don't know know. it's just inconceivable that we're dealing with china in a way that we have. >> but it doesn't appear as if president biden is taking a tough stance. is it is it enough or are we speaking the right language, so to speak, to china, to to have them say, hey, wait, we better not mess with the united states because it was certainly that way under president donald trump, the waters were called because they understood that where donald trump stood. >> yes. and what biden is trying to do is he's trying, as he says, to find areas of cooperation with china. and because of that, we are not promoting our own interests. we're not defending our own country. you know, you pointed out that biden has had these five phone and video conferences with jinping and one in-person chat last month at the g20 and he has never raised the issue of the origins of covid-19.
12:29 am
>> that's one point one million americans almost that have been killed by this disease. i mean, that's an abrogation of his most solemn and fundamental constitutional duty, which is to defend the united states from foreign attack. >> so you're absolutely right, biden just uses the wrong language. he's not raising and not defending the united states , which is a combination. >> well, and what are we to make of ticktock? i mean, we hear a lot about it. >> they make fun videos. you watch them. they're pretty entertaining. but, you know, they're used as a spying mechanism. that's the allegation. and yet there has been almost have been more action in the states than there hasn't been. >> and the federal government. yes. well, president trump and tick tock, along with that, president biden, one of the first things he did was he reversed that. we know that over the course of years, about three or four tick has been making representations to the us about how it doesn't allow data to be
12:30 am
sent to china and it's violated every single assurance it's given to the us . but it's not just stealing data . it is actually more serious that it is using the tick tock algorithm to disseminate chinese propaganda, glorifying drug use, promoting violence on an american streets, and this year disseminating russian narratives about the ukraine war. so this really is an attempt to undermine and actually even overthrow the u.s. government and why we've committed, i don't know, india ban tick . >> we should do the same thing . yeah, and we haven't even begun to talk about fenthion, all the other things flowing into this country. gordon, thank you. i really do appreciate you joining us tonight. all right. festivus is still going on . >> up next, i take on magic mushrooms and the golden state army. dylan and kurt schlichter are here. two things could get a little crazy. >> so stay where you are.

what is wrong with california? that's my next grievance. i was born in california. i lived there till i was. oh, i don't know, ten or eleven years old. >> well, democratic leaders are practically destroying it from within. >> listen to what they are doing this week. state senator scott just introduced a bill to decriminalize the possession and use of certain cycle psychedelic drugs like magic mushrooms and weiner's name sounds familiar. it's because he's the guy who tried to make califf into a sanctuary, get this for minors trying to get so-called gender affirming care. there's also the reparations push this month for black residents. >> the state's task force estimating california would pay more than two hundred and twenty three thousand dollars per person. >> but that's apparently not enough intangibles of what i'm asking for is three hundred and fifty thousand per black
