beautiful scenes as told in the bible, the book of luke, the angel of the lord appeared to the shepherds to tell them about the birth of jesus. do not be afraid. i bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people today in the town of david, a savior has been born to you. he is the messiah, the lord. this will be a sign to you. you will find a baby wrapped in clothes and lying in a manger where they had seen him. they spread the word concerning what had been told to them about this child and all who heard it amazed at what the shepherds said to them but mary treshed shun all these things and pondered them in her heart. the shepherds returned glorifying praising god for all the things they heard and seen which were just as they had been told. that little baby born in the most humble of circumstances end up dying to save the lives of all of us.

todd: right now you're looking live at vatican city. the pope is delivering his christmas message. i know growing up i always used to stay up late and obviously try to wait out santa, i used to turn on the night mass there in vatican city and at least it was day time there. used to watch it on one of the local channels here in new york. i used to be amazed how the entire world celebrates this amazing holiday. griff: pope francis delivered the midnight mass a little earlier from st. peter's basilica in vatican city. that is the christmas message. he talked about the humility of jesus born in the city. this is ther erbeorbe. brings catholic influence on war

every year at this time we say, hey, next year is going to be better. obviously, we can never really predict ultimately what i will happen, but the hope we hold in our hearts that allows us to go into that next year sort of guns blazing, ready to conquer it, ready to take it on, obviously your business per suits, life pursuits, love and kindness and compassion. todd: the message from dolan is so important. when you step back, full context of it, so many things happening in the world, from our own country and abroad, i mentioned the war in ukraine, here is this humble child born in bethlehem born in a stable, 2023 years later he is still the center of our lives. people still gather on christmas. the message is the same of salvation of hope. that is why it is so important. carley: that is exactly right. that is one of the reasons why

to apprehend smugglers, drug traffickers to get right at it in the "new york post." saying we could not tell the difference who were the migrants and who were the agents. only after they opened their coats that they, i saw their badges. none of them spoke but yet here is texas dps, abbott stood up operation lonestar at beginning of this crisis, 2021. he is trying to go after the root, the smugglers. >> yeah. i'm grateful for the state of texas, governor abbott showing leadership on this. just imagine, griff, you've been down there a number of times. imagine if the department of public safety was not helping the border patrol at these moments, with national guard, building a barrier, standing side by side with our agents. the border is a dangerous place. i pray they are safe and do jobs they are assigned to do, infiltrate the cartels to find out who the smugglers are. that they're very successful.

continuing to unleash fury yesterday dumping up to 28 inches of snow in the northeast. 28 people are dead from the impact of the storm. tens of thousands are without power this morning as frigid weather continues to grip much of the united states. turn to chief meteorologist rick reichmuth with the fox weather forecast. rick it was ugly. rick: really ugly. it is getting better. we're on the slow slide out of this. buffalo had 30 inches of snow in 24 hours at the buffalo airport. cold air across the south. hard freeze warnings throughout tomorrow morning. another cold night of cold air across parts of the south. we see things improving a little bit. we have almost 100,000 people in maine without power. this is a full 24 hours without power. in cold temperatures there are still power outages. that will make unfortunately for a pretty dangerous day. this is the forecast overall things look normal.

xcel spreadsheets full of joke tweets from low follower accounts in maryland, kentucky and ohio? why does the fitf, the foreign influence task force spend so much time reviewing domestic speech. that is the key question there. >> you're right, carley that is absolutely the key question to the whole thing. why were these accounts that were you know sharing jokes essentially and memes had very few followers, why were these coming on the fbi's radar? why was this foreign influence task force spending their time moderating speech by american people? supreme court around haw is very clear. the speech is fairly broad. you can't yell fire in a crowded theater. but other than that there is very broad ability for americans to speak their minds. in this case the fbi, seemed to want to clamp down on that. now we're seeing it wasn't just the fbi. it was all of these other agencies as well. carley: that's right. this new dumb of twitter files
