fun, we have a huge show ahead including a bad gifts return edition of supermarket showdown. we are going to face off and in quality trivia challenge, plus we are answering your fan mail questions, but first, time for a holiday hangover themed fastest, are you ready? what plenty of folks are happy to see the holidays were known and most people wishes that it happened longer than it actually does, 52% say that they may tried to fit in as many festivities as possible, but the same percentage agree that there is not enough time in the holiday season to do everything they want to do, do you wish that the holidays lasted longer? >> jimmy: no, and thank you for not acknowledging that i look like a whole santa who got fired for smoking pot with the elves. people are trying to do too much and that's why they think the season is too short, everybody needs to try to stop having the coolest christmas on and scream and paste themselves, let's play some music and have a good time,

lasted longer? they don't get started until the week before christmas and they are like i did not get everything done, so i wish it lasted longer, if they get started the day after thanksgiving then everything is done then they will be done by december 25th, so i don't wish they lasted longer, i would rather hang myself at this point. i am so tired of christmas decorations at my house. i have one. >> geraldo: oh, one. living in ohio the end of the holiday season is very dramatic, because there is nothing ahead for you. there's january and maybe martin luther king weekend and then february and by march you want to kill yourself, i mean, really it is so, so graham, the weather is so bad, so cold, so gray coming wish the holiday season lasted at least until march. >> jesse: the browns are not making the playoffs. >> geraldo: don't say that. >> jimmy: the browns have a great shot on xbox. get a playstation of all they go all the way.

>> dana: you have young kids, do you wish it lasted longer? >> jesse: the second i unwrapped the last present for myself i am immediately depressed, and then it becomes you have to clean up everything coming have to clean up the table, the wrapping paper, and if you don't clean up the wrapping paper during the unwrapping process that's not how you do things, so yes, there is something very dark and scary, it's a dark winter ones that last present is open. >> jimmy: do you live in that house where a photo has a hefty bag in the background? >> and one kid as soon as they finish everything, one has to wait until the garbage goes to the bag and nobody touches anything until that is done. >> jesse: i'm not enjoying the unwrapping i just try to clean up the whole time. >> dana: i feel like it has to last until february, it can all work out in one month, so you push it into the new year and

♪ ♪ and then there is "die hard" that does take place during christmas, top the list in idaho and montana, what you think? is it a christmas movie? >> jimmy: people watch reruns on christmas, it's not a new release day, the ultimate christmas movie is christmas story that would never get married with -- made with the bullying and the bb gun, we will take cocaine bear, it's less offensive. but there was always it's a wonderful life in the background. a little bit of it's a wonderful life, the only christmas it that i don't lean into his love actually, we have talked about this on the show, the best experience i had watching it was in 2010 when i was a cab driver, 1-year-old lincoln walked out of his bedroom 20 minutes in and threw up on himself and that ended the movie, because jenny had to clean him up. >> dana: so you don't know how it ended? >> jimmy: i've seen 5,000 times.

i won't confess. >> jesse: have never seen "it's a wonderful life" only "christmas story." our christmas movie is "home alone" the kids love home alone. >> jimmy: "home alone" the parents would get arrested for negligence. >> geraldo: i would say that "elf" is the best of the modern movies paired but ""miracle on 34th street"" and "it's a wonderful life" it's a part of your education. >> jimmy: we grew up in the era where it was the next meaning of the playoff game. >> judge jeanine: i love "die hard" i'm a shoot them up kind of guy. yes, die-hard is my favorite, i could watch it over and over. but i saw ""miracle on 34th street"." i never saw "edward scissorhands." >> dana: i have seen it, i just never thought it was a christmas movie, i think you would like it. >> judge jeanine: what does he do with his hands?

is he available to higher? >> dana: it has been 20 years since i saw it, i will have to refresh my memory, up next when you take down the tree? justin hartley says many, many months. "this is us" start telling people this, if you come over in july there might be a christmas tree up, i don't mind putting them up, but taking them down is a nightmare. it is said in such a pain, so i keep it lit up through january and then in december. but if you do the same get ready for a backlash on your block, half of americans say that deck ration should be packed away before january. we move into a new apartment building, and i looked up at the balconies and there was somebody that had their christmas tree out on their balcony, this is july and i was like what is this? and i took a picture because kennedy lives in the same building. and those like like is this you? judge, you have a beautiful home and you have decorated it so

nicely, do you leave it up for a while? >> judge jeanine: i used to leave it up until january 6, because of the feast of the epiphany, and it's a religious thing, and i grew up catholic, and have a lot of family that grew up that way. but now i get a little crazy, like i want it down, i want my house back, clean it up, it's enough already. >> geraldo: the tree you have to get rid of it because it starts shedding time it's different than christmas lights, christmas lights really add to the character of the neighborhood, and they really are very warm and i like them. january -- end of january is really pushing it, but they are lovely and i like them. >> dana: so you leave them up for a while? >> geraldo: i don't usually hang them, because i have a jewish wife and if i did i would sleep outside. >> dana: you clean up all the presents, what about the tree? >> jesse: comes down within a day or two. and people are actually lazy and that's why they don't take their tree down, but they are saying it's because they are in the

spirit of christmas, that's not true, they are just lazy. justin is lazy. >> geraldo: what about lights? >> jesse: they come down pretty soon too. >> judge jeanine: colored lights or white lights? >> jesse: i'm a white light guy, but i don't judge colors. >> dana: they don't keep their tree up after christmas because they have a birthday and their family, but they put their tree up november 1. >> jimmy: do they live in a cvs? >> dana: they just do it early. us before they start too early like a drugstore, the day after halloween, the day after things giving, my aunt fran the most efficient christmas feast, day after thanksgiving the tree went up and she host a christmas day but the tree was in a box by the time you went home on christmas night and as a kid you are like aunt fran, i get it, you need help with the box? >> dana: ever wonder when to tell your family or friend sleeping over at your house during the holidays that it is

time to go? well, most people say guests overstay their welcome after four days, four days definitely, maybe three. what did fran say? >> jimmy: aunt fran from my side of the family we don't have anybody out of town, so they were only there for one day. thanksgiving, started at 3:00, at 9:00, football is over, and 9:00 people were at my house and i almost went to the neighbors and called the cops on myself i was like what are you guys doing here? for hours at a one-day event if you are on the road, because i do a little bit of ohio with jenny's family it's two days, because there's nothing to do by day three, that's when the bad eating and the bad drinking starts, it's the days that you treat like holidays. >> dana: yes. >> jesse: my grand parents used to come over to the house and we would wake up the next morning and they would be gone. they would be out the door at 6:00 a.m. and we appreciated that. >> geraldo: ben franklin said fish and visitors stink after

mckenzie: being a first time parent is hard, you know? but then learning that your child has cancer is unbelievably hard. brennon: that's not something that we woke up that morning planning to hear. just hearing that she had cancer, it breaks you. mckenzie: eliza is diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma at four months. it's cancer of the eyes. it's aggressive and it's fast growing. and as a mom, hearing that, i still cry because you want to take away all of the pain and you don't want your kid to be sick, obviously. brennon: you kind of get tossed in the fire and you have to figure certain things out. and with what we've been going through,

i can't believe it. here we are at the let us do good village. first community like this in america. a hundred families together that lost their loved ones. the kids that lost their mom or dad protecting us. and today is the day that we're going to deliver the first beautiful home to the thornton family. some wonderful people donated. a bunch of land in land o' lakes.

to let us do good village. having stood here on this same property with a shovel and now seeing a home where a family is going to move in. built all of our roads, all of our infrastructure is here. we've got several homes are under construction. and this is absolutely amazing to me. it's going to have a pool gym, rec center, beautiful facility, a movie theater where the folks, again, can live and heal and grow together. to see it completely done, to see it fully furnished, it's a blessing to be able to get a home like this. my children struggle a lot, but i feel like this community will bring a closeness with other children that are struggling with the same thing that they are. this is going to be my home. if you look around, can you just imagine the families like minded folks? that's going to be here. here at the let us do good village, we can bring all those folks together. this is something that america is missing. people seeing these things happen inspire others to do good.

we need to take care of our gold star families. tunnel to towers does that. this is a foundation that you should be a part of because not just helping me, but there's so many people like me that need help. this time next year, we hope to have another dozen houses done with another dozen families in. it's a way to say thank you to the americans that paid and made the ultimate sacrifice. every inch of this community has meaning.

♪ ♪ >> judge jeanine: welcome back to our specially edition of "the five." everyone likes to get away this time of year and fox weather has you covered with top destinations for your next trip. kendall's method joins us now, hi, kendall. >> me know that travel is on the minds of so many folks this time of year, and wanted to have a little bit of fun and choose a few getaway destinations to help folks get through kind of the cold and gloomy winter months that lie ahead. and what better way to do so then by heading down to st. thomas, which is one of the u.s. virgin islands. check out that gorgeous shot, average highs this time of year around the mid 80's, but it gets even better, the average water temperatures are in the low 80s, so it is certainly a water lover's paradise, the location that you are definitely not going to want to travel back

home too. let's try on the tropical trend, heading to the north and to the yucatan peninsula, playa del carmen known for the clear water, that just look stunning, doesn't it, temperatures a little bit cooler, but not by much, only a degree or two, the average high this time of year is right around 83 degrees and the average ocean temperature upper 70s. but the big take away is that you want to make sure that you are putting lots of sunscreen on yourself as well as your kiddos, because surprisingly enough, you can in fact get a sunburn this time of year. and also playa del carmen known for the mayan ruins, it is a must-see for anyone traveling down to the area. and last but certainly not least, calling my cold weather lovers, we are going to head back stateside to a bavarian themed village which is nestled in the heart of the cascade mountains, about a two hour drive to the east of seattle, this is where we find leavenworth, washington, and doesn't that just look like a
