are our border patrol intercepted. more snuck in undetected. these numbers will get even worse if title 42 ends. title 42 is the policy that allows the feds to keep migrants out of the country based on public health concerns. the biden administration is doing everything to end title 42 over the objection of republican states. today the supreme court kept title 42 in place for the time being. in anticipation of this policy ending, migrants have already begun flooding the border. >> even with the frigid temperatures this holiday weekend the flow of people to the border is not slowing down. from friday to sunday there were more than 16,000 encounters. 14,000 were released.

2100 were expelled under title 42. while title 42 was set to expire last week the supreme court announced a hold until it hears the case. the policy remains in place for now. that left thousands ever migrants confused and border patrol agents frustrateed. >> on your screen you are seeing a massive migrant tent in west texas. it's bigger than a football field -- the plan according to texas officials is to house migrants there once title 42 ends and this surge begins. this is a massive humanitarian crisis with illegal immigrants crossing the freezing waters to enter this country. there are not adequate social services or housing to handle all of them. we will begin tonight in texas want thousands of migrants have

are so many people choosing that area to go into the united states, they don't have the capacity. we are not talking a small town like del rio. they have over 600,000 people but they are overwhelmed. you have the biden administration saying that this is a humane way of doing immigration when it is not. that was during one of the warmer days. it's gotten much colder during the day and at night. we are talking about small children and older people. it's a lie to say what is happening with title 42 still in place is humane in any way. >> that's the argument you hear: why don't you have compassion per illegal immigrants? this is not a compassionate course of action. the inaction from the biden

administration. borders controlled by cartels trafficking in people and the limited resources for americans who are struggling. the flood of illegal immigrants are stressing social services. where do these people go from here? >> it depends. a lot of people i spoke to they wanted to go to miami, chicago, dallas, houston. keep in mind. this is niot humane just for th migrants but also for the people who work at the border. we had 14 suicides within customs and border protection in year along. the highest number since 2009. it's not humane for the migrants or the people who work at the border. >> thanks for bringing that up. our border patrol agents don't get that kind of attention.

that's just what they were able to detect. the full extent of the drug trafficking and human trafficking and the consequences on our country through our border in arizona is impossible to measure. our government democrats and republicans have failed to secure our borders. either because they don't care about the american people our or country. or they are totally incompetent. mexican is not doing anything to secure its borders. they are controlled by the cartels. they are winning in all of this. the result is that like texas, arizona is experiencing an unprecedented wave of illegal migration. the impact doesn't stop at our border states. they are just way stations for the surge of illegal immigration impacting every state across the

this new year is an opportune time to reflect on this truth. our purpose in life and where we can find true happiness and how we make the most every day. i was happiest when i served god and helping my community. when i was chasing a selfish goal i felt wantness. -- emptiness. we find happiness putting service above self. one example is sammarit an's purse. during a flood they reached out to me. deployed an airplane full of needed supplies and volunteers from across the country who got to work.

mucking mud and cooking food and tearing out drywall and helping this devastated community to rebuild. the people of hawaii will never forget their generosity. a friend of mine served for 16 years in the u.s. army and dedicated his life to service and continues to serve as vice-president of operations for sam samaritan's purse. one of the thing that struck me with all of those volunteers who came out to help the people of this small community was how large their hearts were and how dedicated and passionate they were to serve. you get the privilege of working with these people all the time. >> merry christmas and it's great to can be with you. god gives us the best people.
