i mostly fly delta and anna lanna i can get a direct flight anywhere. i want to point out, pilots, flight attendants at the gates, amazing people and they recognize a lot more conservative and work hard for a living. they are good people. this is a leadership problem. i think people at home need to understand everyone has an opportunity to see this coming and they choose the almighty dollar over common sense and not running your holiday. here is the ugly truth about it they have monopolies. when they say they have a hub, it cost you more money more connections to fly any other airline. so cable, internet providers. there are other options but none are as good as in that area so a buffer you have to fly with them. you look at someone like airline like southwest, there is no way they didn't see this coming. they'll tell lost one of my bags and i have an opportunity because i fly so much to call a special line and got a lot of help with it. >> griff: when you called the

is wrong and we need to keep guys behind bars." i haven't seen a politician say we have to do more to keep our communities safe. that is the problem and what we need to fix. >> joey: we talk about new york city in new york city alone fatal stabbings and stabbings are up 37%. that is fatal. 10% total. so people unfortunately do not die from such an attack but politicians want to paint this as firearms problem and absolutely we have a problem with implementing the laws with firearms, but what does this say about violence overall in the city? >> what is terrible, especially broad daylight where people have human life. something is wrong there. mergers are down, yeah but technology and medicine is getting better. people are surviving. we have 2,000 shootings yet those victims could have been murdered as well. we have to go out there and start stop coddling these

criminals. they need to go to jail and rehabilitated appear they cannot be with society's to create more victims. we should not allow that. >> joey: you have been on the job 16 years. everybody in america wants to know, what keeps a good cop going to work right now? >> it is not easy. police officers love their job and you've heard over and over again they don't do it for the money. they just need respect. they need to note that they are out there and don't second-guess them. it is not easy. in a split second you know going overseas, things can go very, very wrong and sometimes you can't control it. officers going out there and doing the best they can. making arrest and in record numbers to keep the community safe. we need help from district attorneys. we need help from three-point judicial system to keep these people behind the bars. we have to stop allowing them back on the street. >> joey: people in new york city deserve better in america deserves better and cops does or better too. joe imperatrice, thank you for

charleston. they left to spend christmas with her cousins like so many families across the country. traveling back and got stuck in baltimore. he could not book a flight for four days. carental cars unavailable and a huge disaster for us. i almost did not get to see my kids on christmas day. we were able to get them home sunday night late but the luggage somewhere in ohio right now this morning five days later. >> katie: congresswoman, you are on the house transportation committee and pete buttigieg transportation secretary to look into this. so much time result in more regulation, but a lot of times these problems are caused by overregulation. how do you think the government can help the situation? >> i think there has to be a balance. people are outraged. if you look at the communications for southwest over the last five days, only to coposts on social media about

what is going on. when you go to the website, you find information it is difficult to do that from the links they post don't even work. giving people 30 days to rebook their flight into aesthetics exact same travel is very unreasonable. number 1, you see the market and stock was down. the other thing we are learning about not so much on the regulatory side but technology they are using. these airlines, southwest included have been given billions and billions of dollars over the years and bailed out by the federal government and bailed out by taxpayers. we have seen reports in southwest, what we see now is very old archaic software and technology. so holding them accountable and doing those upgrades, having millions of dollars from the government, maybe you should have your technology when something like this happen so people are not stranded all across the country. those are things they will have

to look at because the market will demand it. >> joey: congresswoman how much of this the transportation secretary pete buttigieg? >> it took four days and thousands and thousands of cancellations for d.o.t. to speak up. four days with the ceo of southwest to finally speak up. i hope some point the government will intervene and look at these issues more efficient and more effective. i am horrified looking at the luggage situation that people who are stranded. we see the pictures and videos for days and a people stranded all around the country. we have to work together to get people home, the luggage back home. and then figure out how did this happen? how did they get billions of dollars from taxpayers and this was the outcome. >> joey: before we deal with monday morning cornerback i just looked and january 1st, your family was affected but are you

satisfied with pete buttigieg's handling of this so far? >> not at all. i wish we would have spoken up and pete buttigieg would have spoken earlier. we are now five days into this thing. had i not had an extra car in d.c. i kids might not even be home today. they were able to drive home with family late christmas night. most people were not that lucky. they are still stranded. i don't know how some of these folks will be able to pay for a hotel for the next seven days until they can get out of there. we were told for days but that clearly is not happening right now. people are not getting home at this juncture five days end. >> joey: i think i saw on twitter one of your children celebrated 16th birthday sewed not just a christmas trip at a birthday trip. i have a 13-year-old myself. i don't know about your 16-year-old but my 13-year-old, the house has ordered immediate removal from tiktok. what is your take on that? >> we definitely want to look into tiktok and i know folks

want to hold hearings on it to find out how the chinese communist party might be using it to spy on americans. my 13-year-old, i mentioned yesterday i was going to have a hearing on tiktok and banned from their phones and they looked horrified. the chinese are using it to spy on americans and algorithm and what they are doing to culture and society and spying on our date is wrong. we need to get to the bottom of it. we should ban it from all government devices, that should be step one. >> katie: we talk about banning tiktok but people in the united states working on behalf of that company. what do you guys do about the companies that come in and hire americans to do their bidding for the chinese communist party of beijing? >> you see that with different s in making investments in our country. that is something that we have to look at and take in some balance. when you have countries coming and that are not our friends and not our allies using data to spy

on americans, we have to investigate. even if they do hire american employees that is something we owe the american people. they can then decide if they want to download the software to their phones. that is likely spying on them. that can be their decision. >> griff: the chinese government is wooing the white house right now to remain ownership of tiktok. do you believe tiktok should sever from the chinese government? >> well, i think any business in bed with the chinese communist party, you need to take a real, long, hard look what they are trying to do. they have been doing this for decades whether ip, stealing ip from american companies or whether using apps to spy on american citizens. but they are not the only ones. whatever standard we have should be the same standard for saudi arabia and others that here in the u.s. we need to treat them equally. >> katie: a lot of tiktok

this is the first one. you know, it will put fear in the community and then people lose their jobs. >> absolutely the american people are suffering. inflation is a big issue. i cover housing and it is affecting the housing market. people can't find houses and we have low amount of supply when it comes to homes as well but very expensive to actually acquire a home-and-home ownership is near and dear to my heart. i see it in the home space but now you see other industries. i also know robots are implemented in miami and uber with delivery of food. i just read this. i haven't experienced it myself yet but instead of a driver come a robot will bring your food. >> griff: just my personal thought, right and i think a lot of viewers and customers can relate to this, who will you yell at when they get the order wrong? i want a quarter pounder, chicken nuggets, barbecue sauce. >> i saw some of the comments on tiktok. who am i going to yell at now?

so, so interesting because i also find that this actually in a weird way they actually inflict fear in people, okay, wait a second, robots may replace us so we have to be nice again, be kind again. what happened to customer service? there are so many places where people you go and they are rude and not happy to be working. >> griff: mcdonald's is obviously the king of the fast food chains here and so do you see this as sort of leading the way? elon musk with electric vehicles and nobody's going to do that but now sort of fundamentally rethought the way we look at our vehicles and now do you think we are seeing that with fast food? >> unfortunately, i am very old-school and a person to greet me, hello, how are you a question mark i'm old-fashioned in all aspects of life but unfortunately this is where we are headed in many industries.

the lake. >> absolutely. i can't thank them enough. >> katie: did harper -- what was that feeling when she got home? did she start sleeping? was she happy to see you? what were the firefighters say to you and they got her out of that lake? >> we were standing on the shore. she was so sad when she got to the boat. i think she really was effective -- when they pulled her out, she was shivering. we put her by the fire and wrapped her up with some blankets. she was cold for about an hour. after that, she was back to her normal self running around. she's a crazy girl. >> katie: chief, with eight dogs are part of our family. you mentioned you thought it was a small child. it ended up being harper. but do you get calls like this this often when it ends up being a member of the family that has firm rather than a human child? >> well, this is actually the first one i have been involved
