>> president biden claiming he will deliver for americans in the new year. voters are sick of his policy and want a fresh face in 2024. i'm todd piro. >> ashley: i'm ashley strohmier, new data found majority of americans think the country is on the wrong track, top concerns are the economy and inflation. >> todd: 41% of voters disapprove of how president
2:01 am
biden is handling the issues in his first term. people don't want joe biden and want somebody younger to be president in 2024. it is not that older people cannot work, you should work as long as you want. the most important job in the world, rigorous job as president, not a job for an 86-year-old, which is what joe biden would be at the end of a hypothetical second term. that is an issue for somebody that hasn't shown signs of aging. joe biden says nonsensical things, shakes hands with ghosts and needs to spend every weekend at the beach. he will not be fit in four years. >> ashley: fabrications or lies he tells all the time, we can't tell if it is fact or fkz. when you talk about the age, you are correct, people in their 80s
2:02 am
have an active mind. it is not about the age that other than cans me, it is how long you have been this politics and corrupted by politics of being a politician. when you check the boxes, when they say voters, their ideal candidate is no older than 65, has experience as governor or senator, is a veteran and somebody who compromises to get things done. first person that comes to mind for me is ron desantis. 44 years old, in the navy. look at his track record in florida, people love him down there and people are flocking to escape liberal states and cities that are crushing them with inflation, crushing them with crime. i feel like ron desantis is somebody who pushes for the people. when you think about really the bench and how deep it goes for

democrats, i don't see anybody. president biden said he will make his decision if he will run in early 2023. i don't know if the democrats are excited about that. we recently heard people say they would support him -- >> todd: begrudgingly. >> ashley: like pulling teeth to get the democratic party behind him. 65.3% say the country is going in the wrong direction. >> todd: not like the democratic bench will lower that number, pete buttigieg, we did a thing over him in the last hour, he shouldn't be president. take a look at kamala lack of track record and inability to speak herself and 42% of americans strongly approve of president joe biden and economy part and parcel of what people are worried about. inflation, joe biden has done exact opposite what he needs to
2:04 am
do for that. the range you mention is where most ceos lie, you haven't lost too much energy from youth, 25 year old will be more energetic than a 55 year old, but up to the 65 year range you have balance of not lost energy, you have life experience to be a ceo and run something. most candidates we like typically are in that range. desantis is younger than me by a few months and the republican bench is strong and they are younger. the fact of the matter is people want new blood throughout politics on both sides of the aisle, not just the presidency, but the halls of congress, as well. >> ashley: americans will take a risk with new blood if they think it will benefit them even just a little bit from issue we have now. we have a full screen showing something about gun control and crime and inflation and be ins, if we can pull that back up.
2:05 am
when americans look at numbers, there we go, these are the top issues for 2023 voters. inflation and economy top and threats to democracy, immigration, you can't forget that. ron desantis in florida is dealing with an immigration problem and climate change that goes under 10% and abortion. look at americans voting, they are willing to take a chance. look at donald trump, they took a risk and majority of people were living a good life, they may not have liked what he had to say, but people were living good. >> todd: i feel like desantis is not a risk -- >> ashley: risk on new blood. >> todd: desantis would be new blood. the issues are state specific,
