in the show. 1992 was the year of the woman, 2022 might go down as the year of the woman, across the cultural landscape it suddenly became impossible to say just what is or who is a woman that battle over what once was a commonly accepted definition rages on into the new year as i will show you in a moment. the issue that hit the culture heart in march when even as e-mail soon to be a supreme court justice say for sure what a woman is. >> can you provide a definition for the word woman? >> i can't. >> you can't? >> not in this context. >> you don't need a biologist t figure this out, even children know what a woman is, take a ki to toy story, the little girl was that i want the girl dulled the little boy will say i want the boy doll, and a few will be drawn to this, but this is another story, don't distract

meet the definition of women or women continues to evolve in very odd ways, there was a time when the dictionary could settl this for us and give it a definitive answer this year at dictionary.com announced woman as their word of the year, dictionary.com they write that dictionary is not that last wor on what defines a woman, the word belongs to each and every woman how they defined themselves, that's not a definition, that is choose your own adventure. i went to the cambridge dictionary they just added to their definition it woman to include an adult who lives and identifies as female while they may have been said to have a different at birth. the oxford dictionary is more confusing with 18 new gender identity definitions this year, words like pn gender,

against transgender athlete lea thomas berry thank you for bein here. carrie, are these shifting definitions facilitating discrimination against biological women? >> absolutely it really is important when you're talking about the importance of language , particularly when it comes to matters of law, the word woman is used more than 20 times in the violence against women act alone and it really matters if we matter what these words are. women have had to fight hard to have equal opportunity not just in sports, but equal protection when it comes to the workplaces and lots of places. it is really a problem if we ar suddenly eroding just this word woman and this common understanding of what it means

to be equal and have equal opportunity. >> ed trans activists responded to your efforts telling politic that this trend of trying to define gender in is not a new one. with new now is that they are pushing or trying to push it in a legal sense, these women's rights bills are not about women's rights, people define women in different ways. carrie, your response of what you are trying to do in the state legislatures? get rid trying to make sure we have a common language to talk about so we are promoting something called the women's bill of rights and all this would do is make sure that we know what the word woman is to actually define it and define i as based in biology so that we know what they were meant word female is, mail, men, women, so we know the laws that are on th books that we are having a common language and if somebody wants to, if there is policymakers out there who want to include meal bodied people who identify is trends or identify as women, they can do that, but they have to do it with different language we can' redefine the woman word woman t

be meaningless to say hey, who cares it's whatever you think i is and anybody who wants to use the word woman becomes a woman, that's not fair to women it's not fair to women who want to have safe spaces and equal opportunity. >> rightly, you were a competitive swimmer. do women have equal access to sports when the courts and the government are forcing them to compete with biological men as you did? >> absolutely not. this is taking us back to the 1970s to before title ix, and that's what i think is the left is not understanding. they think this is progressive, they think were moving in a forward direction, but this is taking us back half a century. it's not moving anything forwar it's taking us backwards for it. >> you tied leah thomas for first place in ncaa division i championship. here is how leah reacted. >> how does that make you feel when you think about the fact
7:09 pm
that you're the first transgender person to ever win division i championship? >> i am very humbled and honore to hold that title, and i can only hope that i am able to giv other trans people the inspiration and motivation i wa given. >> riley, you're thoughts when you. you matched a biological man with greater won one capacity and upper body strength and lea wants to encourage more transgender people to jump in the pool. >> to be hearing that, all i hear is selfishness. i hear self of lack awareness and other disrespect towards women, women who have dedicated their entire lives to their sports, not just one year after the year before break it in the five hundreds and six hundreds as biological male and that's what this was.
7:10 pm
just off sheers statistics, nothing opinionated about this, leah thomas, the year before wa ranked in the five hundreds at best, that next year, a year later, winning at national title , being the fastest female and the country in then being nominated for ncaa woman of the year. nothing about what i just said is an opinion. if it frustrate someone or make someone upset, i think that speaks volumes. >> the biden administration seeking to expand sexual protection for gender identities , here is an example of what they might be thinking. this comprehensive identity doesn't appear in all places in women's health magazine, and anatomical six, six gender, enter gender expensive, gender void, omni gender, to spirit.

now, we'll defining women and men even hope it along when you have so many of these gender iterations being created every day and the culture at large? >> i think it will. at think it's important we get back to having common language in your right, it is shocking t see all these new terminologies and categories coming online right the most important thing is to not take our eye off the ball, when it comes to need to have a common language and it comes to terms like women we need to know what we're talking about and know when we talk about it and lock of it we can' have somebody erase that. i do think that is an important step forward. that's what we are working at the federal level to make sure that the federal laws recognize this, but also across the states . i think most people save you right, this isn't a left or

white house says redo out the request when your chairman. your response. gate disappointing, but not surprising, joe biden promised the americans that he would be the most transparent in history. he is the least transparent president in history. apparently he doesn't know what copy and paste his, we're going to copy and paste and change th dates and resend the request, the important thing everyone needs to know is that requested in nearly to hundred specific request, nearly 100 percent of them pertain to taxpayer dollars . money being spent with covid, money being spent in afghanistan . money being spent with differen projects in different agencies within the federal government. that's what the oversight committee role is, we are supposed to provide oversight. yet joe biden has blocked us at

ministration tried to block any request that elijah cummings made, but the trump administration did work with th minority and trying to help transfer information to the minorities so they can do effective probes if the request were overtly political, then i' sure the ministration didn't comply, but what we have asked for hasn't been anything pertaining it's all been pertaining to there is no committee in congress that has done any kind of check and balance on this administration. no one's trying to hold this administration accountable because no one has and yet, thi administration just said, okay, we have all your request, but w just threw them in the trash. you going at the start all over. what they're doing is buying time, stalin, and hoping that some of the prices come around.

what santos has done as a disgrace, he has lied to the voters. santos is off to a fast start, but he's off tickets of the lie that joe biden sold throughout his political career. >> we believe it, why is this communist chinese ambassador getting more court time than former celtic star is it becaus the nba is in china's pocket? ns is here to respond after this . stay with us. even if you got ppp and it only takes eight minutes to qualify. i went on their website, uploaded everything, and i was blown away by what they could do. getrefunds.com has helped businesses get over a billion dollars and we can help your business too. qualify your business for a big refund in eight minutes. go to getrefunds.com to get started.
