your family firsthand. tell us how. be my kids got stranded trying to make it home christmas eve. they love visiting cousins christmas time when school is out. trying to make it home and got stranded in baltimore halfway home trying to get home. we were up very late saturday night like everybody else trying to find flights. trying to find a rental car. trying to find train tickets to get my family home and nothing was available for four to five days. i do want to thank the capitol police who took my call at midnight saturday night helping me find keys to an extra car i had in d.c. they were able to get up super early on christmas morning and drive all the way home and make it finally. it was quite the debacle today. about a week later, we don't even know where their luggage is. >> carley: could be anywhere. >> could be anywhere. >> todd: how does this happen in america 2022, about to be 2023?

of luggage, airline how do you think the american people could trust for you to take -- keep track of the $7 billion that we gave you? it's ridiculous. we got get to the bottom of it. what i want to hear pete buttigieg sooner rather than later he is going to audit that $7 billion and get a full accounting for the american people where that money went. as you rightly pointed out, todd, it's 2022. how you cannot know where your crews are and luggage. technology exists today. this isn't rocket science. i was a database programmer in. this isn't as difficult as it would seem. especially that day and age when the technology is there. why aren't they using it. why haven't they upgraded their systems. >> carley: you ar are on the transportation committee. will you be doing anything about this melt down in 20203. >> i sure hope we will. there is a balance in the market.

you don't want too much government regulation. that will only drive up prices. you are seeing southwest stock start to go down this week. you are seeing them start to change their consumer policies. originally it was they were only going to refund your ticket for weather related cancellation. they have changed this week. refund all tickets between now and the end of the year which they should do. they are also allowing customers to put their claims in for their luggage. although i'm praying we get it back. we don't have to do the claim. we will get it at some couple of next. days imagination adjustments to consumer policies to have a better outcome as they shuvmentd the market is going to force them to change. since they were pailed out by $7 billion. there is a responsibility by pete buttigieg the infrastructure committee in congress to find out where the money went and how was it spent and invested and why didn't they update their systems and organize for this kind of disaster? >> todd: in our final 10 seconds of 2022 on our show what is your new year's resolution,
