carley: we want your new year's resolution. friends @fox news.com. how you change your life for the better. lawrence: we have your back. carley: we have more details in the suspect that killed four-eyed hoe students. todd: he could be back in idaho soon after being arrested in pennsylvania friday. lawrence: laura engle. what can you tell us? >> reporter: appears brian kohberger will not be here at the mom row county, correctional facility much longer. according to his public defend he plans to waive extradition in pennsylvania where he was arrested friday to idaho. we're looking at mug shot. that is the first look at the suspect. his public defender, in a prepared statement kohberger is eager to be exonerated. he told another news outlets that the 2-year-old was shocked about his arrest. we heard a lot about the suspect

studying criminology at washington state university and accused of killing four of the of idaho students. clams mates say kohberger was quiet in class, quick to showcase his intelligence when it came to talking about crime. yesterday the chief of police in moscow sat down with fox to say they believe they have their man. >> are you investigating whether this suspect had an accomplice in this crime? >> we truly believe we have the individual that committed these crimes. >> reporter: so there you go. after his arrest friday morning at his parents house here in p.a. where investigators found a white elanta. he was taken to this jail. his public defender said he could be transported back to idaho as few as 72 hours after his hearing on tuesday. we'll be there on tuesday. reaction coming in from washington state of the criminology department where kohberger was a student releasing a statement said this, the department of criminal

justice and criminology at washington stated university is aggrieved by the alleged horrendous acts by one of hits graduate students. we are relieved justice will be carried out. our hearts are with the victims families. once kohberger is transported back to idaho that is when we could learn a lot more information. once he appears before a judge in idaho they will enseal the affidavit that will have the information about the murders themselves and probable cause affidavit. the information about the murders also about the information investigators had that led them to kohberger. so much more to come on this. lawrence: laura, we're all standing by for that probable cause affidavit so we can see exactly the tools they used to capture this guy. thank you so much for joining us. carley: thank you, laura. lawrence: i just find it very disturbing that this 28-year-old said he is shocked by it. what he really means because because he is a narcissist.

he thought he could get away with it. studying the art of criminal justice. already has a phd. masters in criminal justice. made it hard for investigators. he has studied criminals in his past. he left a messy crime scene. he had knowledge how the system worked, how investigations are conducted, that he could escape how they take forensics from a crime scene. carley: we're looking at dna, genetic geology was key to pointing to a suspect. listen what maureen o'connell had to say on this front. she is a retired fbi agent. she has insight into what genetic genealogy is. we're getting a lesson. >> what law enforcement puts blood samples in the system it doesn't come up with anyone. they normally have to recheck every year. with this system we can take blood or other dna evidence, and

with the struggles we talk with two victims in a fight, fighting essentially for their life against the offender, they could have punched him in the face, gotten saliva off the front of their hands, something along those lines. who did the genetic gene ology which i think it was done. they would submit it under assumed name, i'm john doe, this is my dma up load it into the system. create a totally fictitious profile. you build family trees for the person you submit the dna for, all the way up to their ancestors. you bring it back down. you start looking for offenders in the area. carley: absolutely fascinating. yesterday a lot of people assumed there was a link between the dna of the family and this brian kohberger because maybe one of his family members

committed a crime. that family member was in police database somewhere but now it is looking more like what happened is that investigators went on to one of these websites like where you find out your heritage, created a fake profile. was then able to get, a family tree as she said and then, okay, well there is a name of this family on, of the dna who matches that name in the town or surrounding area. lawrence: quickly, the reason why, honestly this was a brilliant move by the investigators. there has been a lot of lit gauges of these companies back and forth, 23andme, the root, where you submit your dna and you do that. investigators have been trying to get the data. if you have not committed a crime, that family member committed a crime, that requires the governmentget a subpoena to get the dna you wouldn't be in the federal system. what they decided to do is sign up, take the dna. as you know some of the victims

had defensive wounds. they submitted that. got a ping on one of the relatives. they were able to create an orbit who could potentially be at the university that shares that dna. it was smart investigative work but it also shows why it took so long. it takes incredibly long time, weeks, even if you pay for the rush shipping to get those results. then there is a box there you can click to say, do not notify the relatives in that orbit. so that is why the family members did not know what they were doing. carley: wow. todd: putting my legal hat on for a moment, this obviously is a ingenius way finding a suspect. my worry, at some point somebody will try to get this into a court of law. based upon various issues, including chain of custody, various other issues people will fight this the aclu you can expect see them fight a lawsuit. i don't think at any point this could be admitted into court, my

gut, finding the guy, getting him off the streets -- lawrence: you're incredibly, you're spot on like that. they built the case to get who he was. at that point it would be just circumstantial. they have to put him at the scene of the crime. you connect the car, dna fingerprints, now you have the guy in the orbit. it can't just be that dna. todd: why they're asking for more evidence still even though they caught the guy. lawrence: why they're not sharing things. carley: police say the evidence is solid. they believe he acted alone. i completed his first phd, first phd program, he was going to class eight minutes away from this crime scene for a month. also steve gonsalves, his family found some connection. he hasn't said what it is. they found some connection between him and kaylee. more on that front as well. todd: get to this story. this is a head-scratcher.

everyone thinks it is minor. you mentioned 32 kids got hospitalized t can cause pneumonia. that is the thing you worry about measles. in ohio, the first four kids that got it were not vaccinated, of the 82 you mentioned were not fully vaccinated. what i mean by fully, getting both shots by the age of five. it is 98% effective. this is not what we're talking about the covid vaccine or flu vaccine. this one prevents spread. this is dramatically effective preventing spread which is what everybody is talking about. this vaccine is hugely important. we have stamped out measles in the united states as a natively occurring disease. this is the way to keep it that way is with vaccination. carley: dr. siegel. there is ths story in sports, the dolphins quarterback.

t-ua tagovailoa got the concussion during christmas day game against the packers. plate the entire game. went into discussion protocol the next day when he smart started experiencing. the question is have you heard about delayed concussion symptoms before? >> absolutely. i saw the footage. he got hit in the second quarter, he got really clocked. i could tell he would get a concussion. generally speaking he may have had something, generally woozy. headache, can't concentrate, slurred speech, walking, balance, dizziness can be delayed a day or two? do i think he had no symptoms at the time? that is hard to believe. a lot of it is delayed. what i'm most worried about with tua. this isn't the first time n september he got back-to-back games when he got hit really badly. we're worried about recurring injuries like this to football

players. he is 24 years old. there is cron neck encephalopathy is worry about that. there is high amount of football players with kong discussions traumatic brain injury. i think the nfl is probably have him sit out the new england game. carley: he is so young, he is so talented. i understand him eager to play. if i were anybody in his orbit, his wife, his girlfriend, his mom, i would be really worried about cte. what are the chances that could be in his future? >> well, i think if, there is a lot to be said for a great point, great point, carley. if he sits out now, maybe even sits out the remainder of the season, maybe you know, really gets looked at very carefully over the summer, that he can make a full recovery. cte though is a real issue for recurrent blows to the head. now is the time for him to be sitting out, looking after his health first.

"america's got talent"? what do we need to make sure that you're on cover of magazines? >> listen -- when it comes to that, i really want a big career and singing and dancing all that stuff. i'm very interested in all that. carley: you have a cute dog joining you in the segment which is just a bonus. miss turner what was it like when it started to go viral. are you surprised how many people have seen this video. what is the reaction from other teachers, parents and students in the school? >> that friday, by friday afternoon, friday evening i was getting calls. my assistant principal was calling. my principal was calling. i was calm and then the more calls i got, the more, numbers increased, i started to get a little bit excited and i'm like, my goodness, where is this going? i have teachers call me worked for in the past. i had students contact me,
