first of all, we first got it, you know, last night after we came off the floor. we'll be having a meeting in about about two hours to go over everything. the devil is in the details. we will look at it and see. it's common sense proposals that quite frankly, mr. mccarthy had six to eight weeks ago. and so, we will be looking at it, seeing if it's enforceable and seeing if it's something that, you know, we'll -- all of it make sense. we're excited about having these changes made, which should have been done anyway. we shouldn't have to ask for them. >> that's the thing. a lot of people are asking and a lot of people in this freedom caucus have said that he could have come to us weeks ago when he knew this was coming to a head. was there ever any communication between this group and mccarthy ahead of time or did he just kind of ignore you like there's been some people say? >> and he will admit, this ashley. he had these requests, things like 72 hours to review a bill instead of getting it thrown at

you at last minute and vote on it. things like spending reforms, which is big on my mind. he had all that. and he waited until after the elections and as we all know, it there was no big red wave. it's a slim margin. then he started talking with us. quite frankly that's where some of the break down occurred. >> this is the only way we had to get reforms that we thought he should have put forward anyway. and had we gone lock step and elected him as a lot of the other republicans did, there would be no chance to have these reforms made. >> todd: you must mentioned your main issue is our nation's reckless spending. i think that's a sentiment regardless of where you fall on kevin mccarthy debate we can all agree on or many conservatives can agree on. once republicans come together and pick a speaker will you be able to restore fiscal isn't a o

congress and quite frankly our country. >> that's the top priority for congress. we can't keep this spending spree. the last omnibus showed that we will handcuffed until next september when the new budget will start after september 30th and dealing with another crisis. so, you know, is it out of the norm to ask for these aprop yaption bills to be out for the american people to look at. is it out of line for spending to be voted on individually as being debated in congress? we haven't had a chance to have these debates. the democrats have pushed everything, for the most part without us. we didn't see the bills until they were on the floor. we're tired of it. that's why all of this is taking place. >> ashley: a lot of people agree the healthy discussion is needed. especially if there are people that are not getting demands met. but, one name that has been thrown in the hat a few times is jim jordan. if you guys couldn't get on board with kevin mccarthy is jim jordan somebody you would support. >> absolutely.
