there. he had arrested him before and had to let him out of prison because of this big uproar and big uproar overnight down in mexico when they did arrest him again. some are speculating did they arrest him because they know the president is coming down there? we had some guests on. one of you guys interviewed. interviewed the guys that live on the border? >> pete: all of them to a man and woman said this is going to be highly scripted. they are already starting to clean up el paso so that what the president sees is only what his handlers want him to see not the reality at the border. >> ainsley: if he does talk to border patrol agents they will just pick border patrol agents that are in favor of biden and his administration? >> pete: you would presume. you would hope not but that's probably what will happen, highly scripted. >> brian: seven minutes after the top of the hour. stunning newly released affidavit laying out the time line the morning of four university of idaho student were are murdered. >> ainsley: we are learning that the suspect bryan kohberger's phone pinged 12 times near that house leading up to the killings and pinged back at the house the

next morning. >> pete: todd piro has the chilling new details. >> shocking new revelations from this affidavit. the document laying out what authorities believe to be the suspected killer's escape route from the crime scene. fox news digital ta taking a rie along retracing what police believe to be his exact path. his d.n.a. found on a knife sheath left at the crime scene which was lying next to one of the victims. and one of the most bone-chilling revelations that came from the affidavit, the surviving roommate came face to face with the killer. police, who refer to the surviving roommate as d.m. say she, quote: saw a figure clad in black clothing and a mask that covered the person's mouth and nose walking toward her. d.m. described the figure as 510 or taller, male, not very muscular but athletically built bushy eyebrows. the male walked past d.m. as she stood in a frozen shocked face. d.m. locked herself in her room. based upon what the affidavit revealed.

here is what we know now. around 4:00 p.m. xana received a door dash food order at home. moments later she heard what sounded like kaylee playing with her dog in her bedroom upstairs. between 4 and 4:12 a.m. she thought she heard kaylee say is there's someone in here. she opened the door for a second time when she thought she heard what was crying from zan naption room. around that same time xana's phone showed she was on tiktok leading police to believe she was still alive at that time. but at 4:17 a neighbor security cam picked up a noise that sounded like a loud thud and whimper. around 4:20 is when d.m. encounters the killer. is he believed to have left the scene moments later between 4:20 and 4:25. his car picked up again on security cam footage at 4:25 a.m. near wsu. we also now know based on kohberger's phone records that he returned to the murder scene around 9:00 a.m. later that morning. police did not arrive on scene until afternoon. meantime, kohberger appearing in court for the first time

personalize any of these stories too much but each and every one of us see it through the prism of our own lives and truthfully, as a collective nation. a reflection of the power of prayer. i truly think an entire nation and sports base did lift up damar hamlin in prayer. i do think it's a reflection here of the power of prayer. it's all positive news, brian. you know, neurologically, back on the path. the reason supposedly that he cannot speak is he is still intubated i believe but he can communicate. first thing that he asked did we win the game? i mean, there's some conversation the in the wake of this about football. whether or not football still has a place in american society? well, the answer to that. >> pete: of course. >> will: inevitably from the people involved and people who love it yes, football is important. football has its risks. i don't think we will find out. we'll see and i don't know all of the details whether or not football was actually a massive contributing factor to what happened, meaning the true dangers of the game, to what happened to damar hamlin here. but, for now, we celebrate what

looked like the path to full recovery for this young man. >> pete: will, you mentioned the first question he asked when he woke up. here's the doctor talking about it. listen. >> last night he was able to emerge and follow commands. and even asked who had won the game. he did not speak. he was able to communicate in writing. and he is unable to speak with us yet as he still has a breathing tube in and we are still assisting him with ventilation. so, the, you know, when he was communicating with us last night and again today, that's been in writing. and, you know, to paraphrase one of our partners, you know, when he asked did we win? the answer is yes, you know, damar, you have won. you have won the game of life. >> pete: athlete, competitor first question did we win? >> will: yeah. you know, it's, again, i think

the take away here is what sports and what this moment represents for this guy, for his family, and for us as a nation. it is truly something that has the power and does bring us together. you know, and i don't think -- there has been a lot of criticism of anybody that brings up this question but at some point we can keep the first thing the first thing, pete, keep demarre at the center of the story and then start acknowledging existence of the second, third and fourth thing. that is nfl has chosen to cancel this game. and that's the right decision. but, then we have to address what next? it's a big -- it's a big decision. i mean, it effects this multi, what, multi billion dollars business. who plays where. it's probably the same teams that make the playoffs. how many millions were gambled on this game? and i know this sounds so -- it's so unimportant in the context of damar hamlin but we can't pretend these thoughts and

issues and conversations don't exist. >> brian: no they are having them right now because they have got to figure out how to seed the teams for the playoffs and his own father josh allen said damar hamlin's dad told the bills charge forward. and they have got to play the patriots this weekend and they have got win. it's unbelievable. >> will: there's a lot of things in our culture that are really like now we have to address how do we deal with them. most of them have very, very small. i'm going to give you just an example. again, millions of dollars, for example, this is just as an example, were involved in-last week was a fantasy football championship weekend. ainsley by the way was involved in our show's fantasy football weekend. what happens? how does yahoo play out. -yahoo holds money in escrow? how is that handled? the point is there is a lot of questions that have to be answered to your point, brian, are being asked and answered and doesn't do anybody service to pretend they don't exist. we still can remember those are

the second third and fourth thing while remember the first thing is damar hamlin, his health and his life and still keeping the first thing the first thing. >> ainsley: will, you mentioned faith. tee higgins said that he talked to his mom and tee higgins said he was so thrilled. he had a smile on his face when he heard that was his first question. he definitely won the game because he said that would have been my first question, too. we have all been worried about tee higgins, too. this was an accident. he didn't mean to do this it happens on the football field. unfortunately. so glad he is recovering. he went without air for 10 minutes and now he is writing down a sentence and that also shows me he remembers playing the game because that was his first question. so, prayer actually i love what you said, everyone around the country is talking about. and in the faith world is talking about how prayers really work. and his poor mom was in the ambulance with him and our heart goes out to her, too. we know what could have happened and how bad it could have been. but it looks like he is on the road to recovery. and he remembers the game. he is writing, once they take the tube out, hopefully he will be able to speak again.

can you elaine bore rate on the faith issue for you? >> will: yeah. can i say this as well in addition to so, first of all, i'm glad you brought up tee higgins because, again, while damar hamlin remains the first thing. i think all of us have understood this is probably and we know it is weighing on the heart of tee higgins. he is the cincinnati bengals wide receiver who was involved in that collision and it doesn't need to be. truth is, that's part of football. and it still remains to be seen how much this was a rare freak accident. brian and i both have researched and investigated and talked about if it was commotio cordis. head of told me not once, never seen this in football. lacrosse, baseball yes. not once in football. if it is that, if it is that, completely rare. and that doesn't need to weigh on the heart of tee higgins. i'm glad you brought him up, ainsley. look, you said two things. you asked me about my personal.

that this car was coming in at these late hours and leaving the night of the murder. there is not a lot of cars coming in and out of that area at that time. they were then able to use a cell phone number that he had been given when he was stopped at a traffic stop prior to that to then use historical data to then place his cell phone in and around that house 12 times prior to the murders. meaning he was stalking this house. then the information in the affidavit about one of the victims seeing him in the home, it's a one-more bizarre twist and one more bizarre piece of evidence in this already bizarre case. >> ainsley: you know, i remember as a child we watched the adam walsh story. my sister and i. and we were very cautious when we were in malls and shopping. we were always close to our mom because of that you and your dad went on to do amazing things and found america's most wanted. some criminals are behind bars because of that. so you have a lot of experience in this and also as a mom i'm always watching my daughter because i think about your brother. as unfortunate as that is, you

changed a lot of lives and helped so many families around the country. so, when you see that his phone was pinged at least 1 times around that house and then he came back the next morning, is that shocking to you or do you see this often? >> you know, what's unfortunate is it's not shocking to me. we see cases like this on america's most wanted previously or our new show in pursuit with john walsh. these guy also go to any length to harm those that they want to harm. we live in a world with a lot of great people. but there is still a lot of dangerous individuals, especially in this country. we live in the greatest country on the planet. still a lot of dangerous individuals out there. it's about the public fighting back. using the power of the public. us all being aware, coming together to make sure that we can safeguard our children and our loved ones. you know, it's hard to protect against a rogue lone wolf like this guy. someone who had his sight set on these victims. but we can come together as a society and help protect and safeguard those that we believe are our most precious.

our women, our children. we need to make sure that we can come together and try to stop anything like this from happening again in the future. >> ainsley: most of us, before you're married, you live in a house with a bunch of people because you usually can't afford the rent. what do you think happened here when this roommate came out and she said she saw him. she locked herself in the bedroom after that. but she didn't call police? >> you know, it's difficult for me to process that i think it's difficult for a lot of people to process that hearing that information. we don't know what kind of state of mind she was. in and, as you mentioned. she is living in this house as, quote, a party house. a lot of things going on late at night in that house. did she think this was a prank. just somebody who was unruly and getting kicked out of the house? was this a fight between friends is? who knows what she thought in that moment. can i only imagine how terrified she might have been. it's unfortunate she didn't call until noon the next day. but, we'll learn more. you know, this is not something that blame her.
